The Ultimate Truth

…For this I have been born and for this I have come into the world:

that I might witness to the Truth…

{John 18:37}

…What is the Truth?...

{John 18:38}

The Gospels {Matthew 27:1–31; Mark 15:1–20; Luke 23:1–25; John 18:28–40; 19:1–16} describe the moment, when Pilate the Roman

meets Jesus Christ Who is delivered by the Jews

– “His Own people and even chief–priests” –

to be executed, although He is an Innocent Man,

makes attempt to release the Innocent Man

condemns the Innocent Man to be crucified.

There are four apparent participants of the event: Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Whom the people perceive as the Son of man, Pilate the Roman governor of Judea, chief–priests, and the crowd of people headed and stirred by the chief–priests.

The disciples of the Lord are not seen and not heard although they are present among the others – they witnessed and described the event. Probably, they are terrified and silent because of fear and lack of faith: indeed, their entire world arose against their Teacher and Master, and it is not in their power to change the course of event, to calm the rage of the crowd, and to protect Him Who they followed as the Son of the Living God {John 6:68–69}, yet Who was betrayed into the hands of His enemies and Who, now, is apparently defenseless. Their time to manifest their faith and to act*1* did not come yet; awhile, they are at a distance {Matthew 27:55–56; Luke 23:49; 24:1–49; Mark 10:32–34; 16:6–20; John 18:3–9, 15–40; 19; 20:19–31}.

Behind the brief description of the participants of the event, their words and actions, is the final encounter of the worlds that both are the destiny of man.

The stage of the event is the temporal world of the material things, into which man was cast out to complete his knowledge of the good and the evil with own death {Genesis 2:15–17; 3:1–25} and to make the choice that defines his eternal destiny

the good – obedience to God, His law, and His blessings

carrying life, health, prosperity, and abundance of all things

the evil – rejection of God, violation of His law,

and the consequences (curses) of the perversion

that are always inseparable from violations of the law of God

and that ruin through insufficiencies of all kinds, diseases, suffering, and other calamities,

which culminate in death of men and collapse of their establishments

{Deuteronomy 26:16–19; 27; 28; 29; 30}

This world is represented by Pilate – embodiment of the human secular authority, and by those who were the chosen people and their spiritual leaders – the people to whom Gospels refer to as to the Jews and the chief–priests.

Another world is the Kingdom of God, to which a human being belongs by his birthright, and which the human being, by his own free choice, might either accept and enter or reject and be thrown away, into the darkness of eternal separation from God. The King – the Master of the universe and the Redeemer of man – is Jesus Christ, the Holy One of God, the Word–God Who became man to give men the eternal life: the knowledge of God and the Word–God Whom He sent {Matthew 8:29; Mark 1:23–25; John 1:1–18; 3:16–21; 10:30; 14; 15; 16; 17; 1 Peter 1:3–25}.

He, the Son of God, came to witness the Truth and therefore, to open His Kingdom for His creation. The road into His Kingdom leads through acceptance of God as the Absolute, perception of His excellence*2*, understanding that He is the Truth, the Life, the Light, and the Way of man. If taken, this road*3* might be completed with eternal life in the presence of God. Now, He faces those who initially were chosen to learn His law and to become the model for the entire mankind. Their judgment and judgment of this world has come, and soon, by the will of God, His Truth will be confirmed {Matthew 26:39–45, 53–54}with the agonizing death of a tortured human body elevated on the cross – the instrument of death invented by the cursed perverts*4*  to defy God the Creator of life.

Since, His Truth is the Life for the chosen ones who are empowered to see the Eternal Kingdom beyond the death of the crucified and lifted over the crowd Body of the Innocent Man – apparently, just the One of many who were murdered by human justice; in fact, the Holy One Who conquered the world of the evil, which is destined to vanish {Luke 23:33–43; John 3:14–21; 8:28–29; 12:30–33; 14:30–31; 16:33; 1 John 5:1–5; Revelation 21:1–8, 24–27; 22:1–5, 12–15}, and which therefore, is irrelevant for the ones who are living by God.

The chief–priests have condemned Jesus Christ although He is the Innocent and Righteous Man: they are against Him, because He revealed corruption, heresy, and ultimate degeneration of the leaders (the Pharisees, Sadducees, Herodians, chief–priests)*5* of the people who were chosen to be the holy nation of priests of God the Almighty, yet who became the servants of the arch–evil and who want to destroy God, because there is no place for His Word within them. They became partial in His law and then, rejected it for the sake of worldly advantages: they are not able to come to His Light. They incite the people’s rage, urge them to demand execution of the Innocent and Righteous Man: they are the fulfillment of the prophesies {Isaiah 9:13–16; 29:13–15; 30:1, 9–14; 65:15–16; Malachi 2:1–9; also in: Matthew 15:12–14; 23; John 8:12–59; 3:10–21; 12:42–43} concerning the blind leaders and degraded priests who ruin people.

Answering the question of Pilate concerning the crime of which they accuse Jesus Christ, the chief–priests tell that He perverts the nation and stirs the people by teaching {Matthew 4:23–24; 5:1–48; 6:1–34; 7:1–28; Luke 6:17–49}, He calls Himself a King {John 6:14–15; 18:37–38}, and He forbade to pay tribute (taxes) to the Caesar {Mark 12:13–17;  Luke 23:2; Matthew 22:15–22}. Ultimately, they state His main “crime” {John 19:7}: they have the law {the rules of men invented instead of the Law of God as well as the den of robbers instead of the temple of God – in: Matthew 21:12–13; 23:23–35; Luke 16:13–17; Isaiah 29:13–15}, and according to their law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God.

However, the actual criminals are the very accusers – the chief–priests: they condemned to death the Innocent Man, because He revealed the corruption, heresy, and ultimate degeneration of the ones who assumed authority over the chosen people. In them, the evil achieved its full potency: the substitution of the main attributes of the arch–evil (malice, hatred, envy, heresy, idol–worship, the rage of the beast, iniquity, hypocrisy, and injustice) for the main attributes of the chosen ones who are expected to be an embodiment of the good (mercy, faith, righteousness, knowledge of the law, and justice).

The crowd headed by the chief–priests calls for freeing the criminal who awaits execution for murder and rebellion and for crucifixion of the Innocent and Righteous Man Who fed them when they were hungry, healed their sick, resurrected their dead, taught them to love their enemies, and told all those who desire to follow Him to be merciful and perfect as God is merciful and perfect, to love the others as He – the Son of God – loves, and to do the works of God as He  – God – does*6*. Yet, now, they have no memory of His mercy, the miracles that He created by the power of God, resurrection of Lazarus, and even of their recent celebration of His entry into Jerusalem {John 12:12–19}. Following their leaders, they request clemency for the criminal and murderer and demand execution for the Innocent Man. Now, their transformation into the enemies of God is completed: they are incapable of listening Him, they are not able to comprehend His words, because they do not have the place for His Word within; they want to murder Him {John 8:31–59; 10:27–39}, because their world is not compatible with His world – with the Kingdom of God. They received the Law with the service of the angels, yet, were not able to keep it: they opposed the Holy Spirit, murdered the messengers and prophets of God, and now, as the Lord foretold, they are ready to murder the Son of God Himself {Matthew 21:33–41; 23; Acts 7:51–54}.

Pilate the governor of Judea occupied by the Roman Empire speaks of himself as of the one who has the authority to crucify and the authority to release. He, indeed, holds the highest civil authority (that is the Pilate’s authority to crucify) – the authority over physical death: the access to the physical force that empowers the ability to inflict death on the others (to murder, to assassinate, to kill, to execute), so life of a human being within the visible real world of the material things might be finished.

Pilate knows that He is betrayed because of envy of the chief–priests who now urge the people to request release of the criminal {in: Matthew 27:15–26; John 11:40–53; 12:9–19, 42–43; 18:38–40}. Pilate is the ruler endowed with responsibility for social and political stability, order, and human justice in Judea: the land and the army to stabilize the people of the land are given under his full authority by the Roman emperor. Thus, Pilate should be a professional soldier well informed in the Roman law. From Pilate’s professional point of view, the Man – Jesus Christ – has not committed any crime.

However, after attempts to save life of Jesus Christ by convincing the accusers that they demand execution of the Innocent Man and their King, Pilate condemns Jesus Christ to be crucified, because

1/ the fear that the Roman emperor might be informed that he defends the pretender on the emperor’s authority: the Jews cry out that if Pilate releases Him, he is not a friend of Caesar, because everyone who makes himself a king, speaks against Caesar. Furthermore,  answering the last question of Pilate “Shall I crucify your King?” the chief–priests tell that they have no king except Caesar {John 19:12–16}. Their answer and their behavior expose that they

a/ for the sake of own purposes {John 11:47–48; 12:42–43} eagerly elevate the authority of earthly ruler (in this case – the Roman emperor, their conqueror and the first enemy) over the authority of God and His law {as it began in: 1 King 8}

b/ they prefer the earthly authority over people to the righteousness and justice {John 11:43–53; 12:9–19}

c/ with their utter hypocrisy, they set the trap for Pilate: they imply that if Pilate releases the Innocent Man, they are the friends of the emperor, yet, Pilate is his enemy

2/ cry and outrage of the mob stirred by the chief–priests, which already became the unrest and which could grow into the rebellion followed with death of many (including the Roman soldiers under authority of Pilate).

The brief encounter of Pilate the governor with Jesus Christ, the Word–God, is the last step before the final revelation: what is the good and what is the evil, what is the meaning of the true authority, who is the True King, and what is the Truth {John 19:7–30}.  Since, for the one who desires to know the Truth, there is no unrevealed knowledge, there is nothing left {Matthew 27:50–53} that could veil the Absolute Good and to conceal the evil.

By the will of the Almighty God, the ultimate meaning of His Truth and the Omnipotent Power of God the Spirit {John 4:23–24} within the world of the material things*7* has to be revealed through giving men the free choice of the good and of the evil completed with the authority of man over physical life of the Son of God: either to follow the Word–God and live by Him or to reject Him and die. The moment of condemnation of the Innocent Man, the Son of God, is the moment when the quest of mankind is completed: everything reached its full potency, everything came into the focus, and man meets his ultimate trial, which has to reveal the ultimate human worthiness, justice, actual worth and reliability of human establishments.

Since, the one who reads the Gospels, desires to follow Christ, seeks the wisdom to comprehend and to observe the words of the Word–God, and begins to live by Him, passes through this ultimate trial and perceives the true essence of condemnation and execution of the Son of God. If the one withstands this trial, for him, there is no place left for any doubts and misinterpretations, and there is no stone left unturned in futile constructions of men; he is one of those who are His Own from the beginning of time, yet who were lost within the world of the evil and death. Now, he is empowered to recognize Him, to comprehend and accept the ultimate Truth as the very own life, and to come home {John 1:1–51; 10:1–38; 14; 17; 19; James; 1 Peter; 1 John}.

Almost two thousand years passed since the day when the Son of man was crucified and the Son of God redeemed a human being from the slavery of evil and gave man the authority to become a child of God. Since, many generations read the Gospels, made their inferences, and learned their lessons.

So, what are these inferences and lessons?

Are they universal or they speak to the one at the level of his mental development–evolution, consistently with his own past and present, within his own conditions of life, and for a particular future?

Ultimately, what is the main truth of Christianity?

Among the most obvious inferences, many identified futility of human justice, which can be easily converted into the ultimate injustice, when the ignorant lynching mob stirred by criminals under the mask of spiritual leaders kills and destroys everything that stands for freedom, justice, virtue, and truth.

Many, through own suffering and because of inflicted on them injustice, have learnt that the righteousness, justice, and truth might not coincide with the material values on which the establishment (state, empire, civilization) is built and that among rejected moral values the first is inappropriateness of evaluation of man by his price on the slave market or by his material possessions.

However, as it always is with the revelations of God, the last moments of earthly life of Lord Jesus Christ – the Son of God, the Word–God Who became Man, give the comprehensive knowledge to those who want to accept it. The lessons which the one might learn are comprehensive because they expose the truth for the sake of which the Eternal Word–God was sent by God the Father {John 18:37–38} into the temporal world arranged for cognition of the good and the evil, so the quest of His creation might be completed {Genesis 3:23–25; John 3:14–21; 17; 18; 19}.

The first of them is the lesson of mercy: human justice must not inflict death on any human being, because

a/ mercy is above judgment*8*, because mercy (as well as truth) is the attribute of the Perfect God and ultimate judgment belongs only to the Word–God {Matthew 7:1–5; 9:13; 12:7; Luke 6:35–37; 2 Corinthians 1:3; Hosea 6:7; Psalm 84 (85):10}

b/ a human being is created in image and after likeness of God and bloodshed is forbidden by God; each time when a human being or human establishment murders another human being, the murderer defies God and attempts to exterminate Him, to make Him irrelevant to the world of His creations, to establish the evil at the place of God, and to make the evil the force that controls the world of men through incessant chains of acts of evil and injustice. Each murder initiates the next cycle of violence and follows by retribution, and any one who takes the sword will die by the sword {Genesis 9:5–6; Exodus 20:15; Deuteronomy 5:17; Matthew 26:47–52} – because of the committed evil, whatever embodiment this evil takes to turn against the one who has unleashed it.

In brief, murder is the most common rite of idol–worship – the worship of death. This idol–worship was invented by the ancient heathens*9* and since, it became the framework within which totalitarian regimes of the twentieth centuries (communism, fascism, Nazism) with their massacres, mass executions, and concentrations camps took life of the multitudes, which still cannot be counted precisely

c/ human judgment can never be trusted: the history has plenty of cases when the innocent men have been executed for the crimes they never committed, while the criminals were set free because of political and other reasons. Any political, social, and religious establishment considers the one who thinks differently (that is whose values and comprehension of the world differentiate from those established by the opinion–makers/ ruling/controlling group – spiritual and secular leaders) as the worst criminal and attempts either to exterminate him or make him irrelevant by any means available.

However, does any human being/group/establishment have right to assert own vision/interpretation of the truth as the absolute for all the others?

Only God is Truth; moreover, God is the Absolute Truth of man. The answer to the Pilate’s question “What is truth?” is simple: God is the Truth {John 14:6}. The Truth for the sake of which the Word–God came into the world might be summarized in one comprehensive all–embracing postulate: God is the Absolute Good of man.

God is the Absolute Good of man:

God is the Perfect and Omnipotent Love that encompasses every creation

that loves God the Creator and embodies His Law/Word

into own thoughts, words, and deeds

the knowledge of God and His Word is the eternal Life

God is the Omnipotent Wisdom – the Light

that eliminates ignorance of man and dissipates fog of inability of perception of Truth

God is the Almighty Power – the Spirit of Truth

that empowers man to do the works of God

God is the only Source of virtue, righteousness, justice,

and therefore, excellence and perfection of God is the only Criterion of judgment

for man’s comprehension and evaluation of the world and of his own life

God is the only Model for imitation of mercy, perfection, love,

and life – the works of God

therefore, God is the Absolute Truth

the all of man.

It might be concluded that the Christian teachings is the revelation of the Absolute Good – the knowledge of God – accomplished by the Word–God, Lord Jesus Christ Who refers to the knowledge that He gave man as to the eternal life {John 17:1–8}.

The issuing philosophical system*10* that is based on the theological doctrine of the Absolute Good is the philosophy of the Absolute Good*11*.

The first practical inference from the main truth of the Christianity is the irrelevance of the evil*12*: the evil does not exist in the presence of God and the evil does not have place in the Kingdom of God; therefore, the evil is irrelevant. Consequently, the one, who loves God and desires to follow God, excludes the evil from own life: he makes the evil irrelevant.

*10* Theology is knowledge given by God {John 17}, therefore, the foundation of life, therefore, the framework for all knowledge of a Christian. The overall position of the Christian Church to application of philosophy for creation of theological knowledge in: 1 Corinthians 1:18–31 and Colossians 2:8–23. The summary: philosophy is not admitted for theological studies – it is the product of human mind; philosophy as the source of theology brings forth only heresy (as Tertullian says, heresies are “equipped by philosophy” [On The “Prescription” of Heretics]).

Philosophy is just one of the derivatives of the theology.

Philosophy belongs to the practical level: it underlies life of a human being within the world of the matter. In general, philosophy could be seen as the set of tools, techniques, criteria, and rules of creation and interpretation of knowledge of the lower levels of the cosmos – the world of the matter and organization of human life within it, which the mind employs in its efforts to survive, to accomplish own purposes, to actualize own nature, and to dominate the world – for arrangement of social, political, educational and other establishments that should accommodate life and facilitate evolution of men. The Search for God Who is the Truth

…He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them out of their corruption*1*

{Psalm 106(107):20}

…As You bestowed on Him the authority over all flesh, so that to all which You gave to Him,

He may give to them the everlasting life.

And this is the everlasting life, that they may know You, the only True God, and Jesus Christ Whom You have sent…

{John 17:2–3}

…I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

If you had known Me, also you would have known My Father, and from now, you know Him and have seen Him…

{John 14:6}

…For this I have been born and for this I have come into the world:

that I might witness to the Truth…

{John 18:37}

…Sanctify them in Your Truth: the Word is Your Truth…

{John 17:17}

…He spoke to them the Word, even as they were able to hear…

{Mark 4:33}

The Gospel According to John conveys the words of God, which establish the Truth of man: the Word–God is the Light, the Way, the Truth, the Sanctification, and the Life of man {John 1:1–4, 9; 8:12; 9:5; 14:6; 17:17}. There are no other gods, and there is no other truth: the Word–God is the Ultimate Truth of man.

The Word–God became Man to accomplish the Will of God the Father: to save those who are His Own, so, none of those who believe in Him will vanish, but all will be saved. He holds the authority over all flesh – over the mankind and the mankind’s world –  so, those who belong to God may receive from Him the everlasting life {John 5:24–29; 11:25–26; 17:2–3}.

So, what does it mean the authority over all flesh? How the mind can comprehend the authority of God, if a human being is not able to see God and to live? The Word–God answered the questions, which the mind of His creation is able to ask, and explained all of them in the terms of human existence, with parables and direct commandments {Matthew; Mark; Luke; John}.

The one who accepts Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, is the one, who observes His words and embodies them into his life:

the one who lives by Him, by His words, is the one who lives

by His Soul that He gave as the ransom for the many {Mark 10:45}

and placed for the ones who are His sheep

{as He says in: John 10:11–18; την ψυχην Μου τιθημι υπερ των προβατων

the Soul of Me I place down for the sheep – John 10:15}

by His Flesh and Blood

{as He says in: John  6:47–58;

ο τρωγων Μου την σαρκα και πινων Μου το αιμα, εχει ζωην αιωνιον, και Εγω αναστησω αυτου τη εσχατη ημερα

he partaking of Me the flesh and drinking of Me the blood has life everlasting, and I will raise him up at the last day – John 6:54}

that is the one who,

through Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Word–God,

receives the Holy Spirit

{as it follows from: John 6:63; 7:37–39; 14:15–26; 16:5–16; 17; Isaiah 44:1–8}.

The words of Lord Jesus Christ that He is the Bread coming from the heaven, and that the one who partakes in His Flesh and drinks of His Blood obtains the everlasting life initiated the division among His listeners, followers, and disciples {John 6:51–71}. These words along with the crucifixion, which seemingly is not compatible with the presence of any power recognizable by men, revealed Him as

the Stumbling Stone for the many

the One rejected by the many

the Wisdom of the prophecies concealed from the heathens and false children – rebels against God

the Immeasurable Treasure, the Light, the Truth, the Life, and Love of the chosen ones

{Isaiah 28:5–22; 29:8–16; 30:9–14; 50:4–11; 51:1–8; Matthew 21:42–45; 1 Peter 1; 2; 1 John; Ephesians 1; 2}.

The inner meaning of these words was hidden from those who lived by the visible perceivable material things*2* and therefore, accepted the Word–God only as the Son of man, although even as prophet or messenger of God Who created many miracles by the power given by God {e.g., in: John 3:1–2; 9:30–33}.

However, if to perceive the reality beyond the material world – that is the reality of the kingdom of God, which the Word–God came to proclaim {e.g., in: Matthew 10:1–8; Mark 9:1–8; Luke 4:40–44}, the one might understand that God speaks of the inner essence of His creation.

For instance, in Chapter 10 of the Gospel According to John, the Lord speaks of Himself  as of the One Who places His Soul for the sake of salvation of many: He received the authority from God the Father to place His Soul and to take it again. Such authority can be held only by God Who has in Himself the Source of life {John 1:1–4; 5:17–26; 10:17–18; 1 John 1:1–3}.

The problem of those who listened up His words and were not able to understand and to accept them {John 6:60, 66; 8:19–29} was the restricted mind that could operate only with the categories of the material world in which blood and flesh are the carriers of life of a particular living being.

However, Lord Jesus Christ speaks of the Creator of the visible world – Who reveals Himself as the Unity of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, and Whose acts of creation are manifested as the Unity of the Divine Creative Energy, Divine Power, and Divine Law – and He explains God in the terms of human existence.

In the human world, blood is the carrier of life and flesh is the framework, which accommodates life: it makes possible circulation of blood that carries life–sustaining energy and life–sustaining resources to each cell of human body, enables operation of all parts/organs of the body – each one of them performing a particular life–sustaining function, and keeps assemblage of the structures of the matter (cells, organs, parts, subsystems) as the living growing/evolving wholeness of a particular kind.

Since the beginning, the people knew that to shed blood of man is forbidden because man is created in image of God {Genesis 9:5–6}. They also received the warning do not eat blood of any living being, because the blood is the soul of any flesh, and the one who eats the blood shall be annihilated {Genesis 9:4; Leviticus 3:17; 17:10–14}.

Furthermore, since the beginning, it was known that before creation of the world, God created the στερεωμα, the firmament, the framework within which the world received its shape and capability to accommodate life of the multitudes of living beings {Genesis 1:1–10}. David the prophet speaks of the Lord {Psalm 17(18):2–3} as of his Στερεωμα*3*.

Hence, it might be said that as the body accommodates circulation of blood in which is the soul and which carries life of a living being, in similar way, the στερεωμα accommodates life as the stream of the acts of creation – the works of God that manifest the Unity of the Divine Creative Energy, the Divine Power and the Divine Law/Word.

Consequently, the one can infer that, because of the will of God {that is in accordance with the Law of God that defines the purposes, terms, and meaning of life of His creations – Matthew 5:17–18; 24:35; Luke 21:33}, if a human being is destined to enter the everlasting life, he has to be re–created into the likeness of the Word–God, so the Soul of the Word–God becomes the human soul and the Word–God – the Law and the Wisdom of God – becomes the Στερεωμα of human essence: soul–heart–mind. Such a being becomes the carrier of the Kingdom of God {Luke 17:20–21}: the realm in which God is the Absolute, and in which the evil has no place anymore – the evil is irrelevant (it is not able to exist in the presence of God). Hence, this is how a new creation of God has to be prepared for the new world of the Absolute Good: the world of the eternal life without any insufficiency and suffering, which are well known to earth’s inhabitants.

 Therefore, a human being obtains the everlasting life in presence of God, in His kingdom, if

the Soul–Blood of the Son of God becomes the soul of man, by which he lives,

making him the likeness of the Son of God capable to dwell in the Love of God

the Body of the Son of God – that is the knowledge*4* that He reveals – becomes the human Στερεωμα:

the foundation and the very essence of life.

a human being is enabled to accept the Holy Spirit,

therefore, to become a child of God and to dwell with God, in His Love, forever

{John 1:1–13; 6:51–58; 14:15–23; 17; 1 John 3:1–2; Romans 8:14–17; Ephesians 2:13–22; Revelation 21:1–7; 22:1–5}.

During the last supper, Lord Jesus Christ established the tradition in His remembrance by His followers {Matthew 26:26–28; Mark 14:22–25; Luke 22:17–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–32} that became the holiness of His Εκκλησια – the Christian Orthodox Church: the unity of Christians*5*. Since, the visible life of the Christian Church is centered on the Divine Liturgy that is the act of remembering and confirmation of the salvation of man: a human being partakes the Holy Mystery from the Chalice of salvation confirming that he is sanctified in the Truth and the Word–God became his own soul and his own life everlasting.

Thus, the Word–God re–creates man into the child of God and enables him to accept the Holy Spirit: by accepting the words of Lord Jesus Christ as the Truth and observing them (embodying the commandments of God into own daily life, having the Word–God as his own soul and his own life), a human being becomes a new creation of God made into the likeness of Lord Jesus Christ and empowered to accept and to carry the Holy Spirit. Such a creation is enabled to endure the eternity in the presence of God, while the Old Testament’s man – even Moses – could not see God and live {John 14; 17; James; 1 Peter; 1 John; Exodus 33:18–23}.

So, why the one living by the Word–God will enter the eternity in the presence of God the Creator?

Because through Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Word–God, man receives knowledge of True One God, the Creator of man. This knowledge transforms him into the very Own child of God, the one born of God {made, borne, and taught by God as in: Isaiah 43:1–7; 46:3; 64:8, and in: John 1; 3; 14; 15; 16; 17} and worshiping the Holy One God – the Perfect Almighty Love {John 17; 1 John 4:12–19}:

the Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, and the Father are One:

everything that came into existence came through the Word–God Who is the Glory of God the Father

the one who has seen Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, he has also seen God the Father

the one who has the Word–God has the life everlasting, knowledge, and wisdom –

the gifts of the Holy Spirit sent by God the Father in the Name of His Son –

the Word–God Who lives by accomplishing the will of God the Father

the one who lives by the Word–God, Who explained God the Father,

Who is One with the Father,

and Who accomplishes the will of the Father,

this one has the knowledge of God, which is the everlasting life

{Exodus 33:19–22; John 1:1–18; 4:24, 34; 5:30; 8:18–19, 23–29; 10:30; 14:6–10; 17; 1 John}.

In conclusion, God is the One Holy Uncognizable Invisible Almighty Spirit Who through Lord Jesus Christ has manifested Himself to His creations as the Unity of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, as the Unity of the Divine Power/Will, Divine Creative Energy, and Divine Law/Word: as the Perfect Love and as the Absolute Good of man.

Therefore, Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, the Word–God, is truly the Light, the Way, the Truth, the Sanctification, and the Life – the Absolute Good – of man, because He explained to man God the Creator and revealed His Perfect Love to His creations. He focused human mind on cognition of the Creator, on worship the Unknown Uncognizable Invisible Holy Almighty God the Spirit, Who revealed Himself through the All–consuming Fire, Whose Power is beyond human comprehension, and Whose Face man is not able to see and to live, yet Who made Himself known to man through the Son of man and the Son of God, the Word of God and the Man in suffering {Exodus 33:19–23; Deuteronomy 4:15, 24; Psalm 49(50):1–6; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6–7; 40:10–31; 42:1–9; 46:3–13; 53:1–12; Daniel 7:9–10; Luke 12:49; John; esp., John 1; 3; 4:23–24; 14; 17; 1 Peter; Hebrews 12:18–29}. God wants all who are His Own ones to come to Him and to have everlasting life {John 6:37–40}.

The greatness and the unsurpassed majesty and kindness of the act of salvation becomes understandable at least in some degree (as much as it possible to comprehend the eternity within the temporal world), if to realize that the recreation of a human creature of dust into the human child of God means transformation into the likeness of the Word–God living by the Holy Spirit – into the temple of God in whom God dwells {in: John 6:53–57; 14; 17; 1 John 3:1–2; 4:7–16; 1 Corinthians 3:16–17; 2 Corinthians 6:16–18; Ephesians 2:13–22}.

So, how this transformation is possible for the being whom Isaiah {Isaiah 64:8–8} perceives as the clay in the hands of the Father?

For accomplishment of the will of God the Father, the Word–God – the Son of the Living God, has the authority to give up/place His Soul for many and to take It again: He has life in Himself and He bestows eternal life on those who, because of Him, are enabled to be the children of God {are born of God – John 1:12–13}.

Through following Lord Jesus Christ, a mortal human being is born by the Word of Truth: he becomes the participant of the Divine Mystery of Life, when the eternal life is ignited within the creature of dust, and the mortal human flesh becomes the living temple of the Living God, the dwelling of God the Spirit: the one who lives by Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, becomes the living temple of the Living God, because the Holy Spirit comes from God the Father to give wisdom and eternal life to the chosen one who is brought forth by the Word of Truth {John 14:23; James 1:17–18; 1 Corinthians 3:16–17; 2 Corinthians 6:16–18; Ephesians 2:18–22}.

Salvation of man accomplished by the Word–God, is the greatest mercy of God: this act of God reveals His Perfect All–forgiving Love, because the Word–God is sent by God the Father to redeem and to save the world: to place His Soul for many. Many generations lived by this hope of salvation; for the Christians, it became the actuality {Galatians 2:20}. The Body of the Son of man passed through death, which is inseparable of knowledge of the evil amassed within the temporal world set for cognition of the evil and the good, yet the Soul of the Son of God became the human soul, transformed it into the likeness of Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and gave it knowledge of the Absolute Good. Such a new being might be empowered to accept the Holy Spirit and with Him, the everlasting life {in: John 1:1–13; 3:3–21; 6; 10; 14; 15; 16; 17; also in: James 1:17–18; 1 Peter; 1 John; 1 Corinthians; 2 Corinthians; Galatians; Ephesians}.

Still, the greatness of the act of God, its ultimate purposes, and the future life of a human child of God could be beyond of comprehension for those who live by the values and realities of the world of the material things*2*.

For those who live by God, the first consequence of the act of salvation of man is the knowledge revealed by the Holy Spirit Who teaches a human being and leads him to God {John 14:15–26; 15:26–27; 16:7–16; Romans 8:14–17}: the human mind receives from the Holy Spirit the wisdom/power to comprehend the Truth and to discern the essence – the good or the evil – within everything that is the world of men,  and to realize that {in: James; 1 Peter; 1 John; Romans; Hebrews; Genesis 3:1–25}

a/ Lord Jesus Christ – the Son of God and the Son of man – lifts the human being out of the world of the evil controlled by death; since, the evil becomes irrelevant for the one who is redeemed by the Perfect Love

b/ the death of the Son of man crucified on the tree of death*6* has taken away the ancient curse {1 Peter 2:21–25; Ephesians 2:13–22; Colossians 1:12–23; 1 Thessalonians 5:9–10; 1 Timothy 2:5–6} – the consequence of the original sin of rejection of God, of mistrust, of substitution of the false and evil and death for the Truth and Good and Life

c/ the resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ reveals the destiny of those who will be resurrected to the eternal life with God.

So, during life at the earth (limited range of existence as the unity of soul/spirit–mind/intelligence–body/flesh, at particular time–space–complexity settings, within the temporal world arranged by the complexity and controlled by the irreversibility of cognition), a human being learns

a/ to consider the evil – insufficiency, suffering, and death – as the methods of testing of human worthiness. The prophet compared such testing with purification of the precious gold {Malachi 3:1–3}. Gold is melt by fire to burn out the admixture; then, it becomes invaluable and unsurpassed in its purity and beauty. Likewise, a human being learns to overcome difficulties, insufficiencies, injustice, and suffering, so he becomes able to exclude the evil {for instance, ignorance, malice, envy, greed, unkindness, ruthlessness, lust, fornication, perversion, etc. – e.g., in: 1 Peter 4; Romans 1} from own thoughts, words, and deeds (to make the evil irrelevant) {e.g., in: Malachi 3:1–4, 17; James; 1 Peter 1:3–9; 2:1–25; 4:1–19; 2 Peter 1:2–11; Romans; 1 Corinthians; 2 Corinthians; Galatians; Ephesians; Colossians; 2 Timothy 2:19}

b/ to discern the presence of God behind the world of the material things

c/ to imitate God the Creator by becoming merciful, loving, and perfect as Lord Jesus Christ Who is the One with the Father and Who explained the Father and gave commandments to imitate His mercy, perfection, and love, is merciful, loving, and perfect.

The summary of all these lessons is preparedness for the eternal life: by becoming the likeness of Lord Jesus Christ and by accepting the Divine Fire – the Holy Spirit sent by God the Father in the Name of His Son, Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, a human being completes his victory over the world of the evil, and becomes the son of God ready for the Kingdom and purposes of God.

In summary, it might be also said that the process of preparation of a human being for the eternity might be seen as similar to the process of creation of the precious stone (the indestructible wholeness capable of reflecting the light) from the clay (unstructured chaotic assemblage of the elements of the earth) *7*, when,

with coming of the Almighty Divine Fire – the Holy Spirit of God

the man–clay–earth – the temporal assemblage of the fragile structures of the matter

is transformed

into the indestructible likeness of the Precious Corner–Stone on Whom the Temple of God is built,

into the carrier of the Divine Light made for accomplishments of the purposes of God

in the new world that will have no place for the evil and no memory of it.

It means that the Ultimate Truth*8* transforms the unstructured human clay – the sick mind that can accept any figment of corrupted imagination as the truth – into the wholeness, which is organized by the knowledge of the Truth into the indestructible wholeness, the entity that reflects the Divine Light and that is similar to the Precious Stone on Whom the Kingdom of God stands {in: Psalm 106(107):20; 1 Peter 2:3–10;  Ephesians 2:13–22; Isaiah 29:13–19; 43:1–8; 64:8}.

Now, thousands of years after the beginning of the journey of man within the world allotted for completion of his quest to know the good and the evil – the prison of death, from which man is enabled to exit only through the threshold of the physical death {Genesis 2:16–17; 3:23–25}, the ultimate knowledge that opens the eternity can be obtained by any one who seeks God.

So, what is the search of God? How the one can find God?

God is the Truth {John 14:6; 17:17}; to find God means to find and to learn the Ultimate Truth*8*  and to accept God as the Absolute Good of man.

To find God, a human being does not need to travel, to claim mountains, to come through earthquakes, hurricanes, to become the unreservedly obedient slave of the false teachers who claim the place of God in His temple and present themselves as the mediators (self–appointed, of course) between God and man, to imprison himself in the covenants with mandatory mortification of flesh and blasphemies against God designed to make man the container of uncleanness and heresies assembled by imagination corrupted with Orphism and other myths of ancient heathens, to kill the others, to deprive the others of their knowledge and possessions, to commit gigantic scientific discoveries, to accumulate wealth, to obtains the extraordinary powers, to conquer the world, and to make thousands of other things, with which the human establishments evaluate worth of man, and through which men crawl into the top levels of the human hierarchies based on the power of coercion and deceit*9*.

God is within a human being – in the meek and kind and merciful and loving heart, which makes a human being incapable of doing evil to the others. Only own wrongdoing separates man from the Creator {e.g., in: Isaiah 1:2–20; 59:1–15; 64:6–7}.

Consequently, to find God means

a/ to overstep the tenets of evil

b/ to comprehend own sin and to reject all evil thoughts, words, and deeds, which made past sinful behavior possible, and then, to focus*10* on God’s words

c/ to learn to imitate God – His mercy, His Perfection, and His Love – by following Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, Who accomplishes the will of God within the universe created by God, the Holy One Who does the works of God, the Savior Who explained God to His creation and gave to the human mind the ultimate revelation of God – His Image, His Likeness, and His Will – for imitation and accomplishment.

Therefore, the beginning of the search for God is in the human mind–heart: the one who wants to find God needs to begin with consideration of own qualities, own past and present, accumulated experience, and knowledge, which he learned and by which he lives. The first result is comprehension: what he has done to the others. Yet, whatever is the one’s past, there is no limits for God’s mercy: His Love is All–Forgiving, All–Encompassing, and Almighty. If the one is able to understand that he has done unjust and wrong things, he already began the path to God’s forgiveness, because the first mercy of God is illumination of the sinner, so his moral blindness dissipates, he receives the power to see things as they are – the evil as the evil, and the good as the good. Then, faith, hope, and courage are ignited in him: he obtains new meaning of life, and true essence of things opens.

Then, the kind and simple and wise words of the Divine Eternal Truth begin to speak to the soul of man, enable him to comprehend the commandments of God and to imitate God as much as it is allotted to Him by God {e.g., in: Mark 4:33; 1 John; 1 Corinthians 3:18–23; 2 Corinthians 3:3–18; Ephesians 1; 2; 3:14–21; 4:4–16; Philippians 2:13; 3:13–16; Colossians 2:2–23; 1 Thessalonians 5:5–11; 2 Timothy 3:13–17}. The parables told by the Lord give examples from the daily life of simple and unassuming people, yet, through them, the depths of the Divine Wisdom might be opened to the one who with all his soul, all heart, all mind, all understanding, and all powers seeks God Whom he wants to find, to love, and to accept as the only good: the Absolute Good.

Consequently, the beginning of the road that leads to God might be seen as the self–evaluation of the one’s own worthiness through comparison of the one’s own thoughts, convictions, outlook, words, and deeds with

– the Gospels that convey the teachings of Lord God Jesus Christ – the revelation of the Ultimate Truth

– the writings of the Apostles of the Word–God who explain His commandments by co–relating them to the daily life.

The end of this road is the priceless treasure – the everlasting life in the presence of God.

If the one desires to imitate God in His mercy, perfection, and love and to do the works of God as He does, each word of God and each action of God revealed by the Gospels and explained by His Apostles should be the example of excellence that the one should analyze and comprehend and make the very own way of life, thinking, and working.

In summary, the search for the Truth begins within the human heart and mind. If found, the Ultimate Truth leads into the everlasting life and, even within the temporal world controlled by the evil, empowers the mind to create and to disseminate the good with the works that imitate the works of God.

*1* In Psalm 106(107):20: He sent His Word, and healed them (made them whole), and delivered them out of their corruption – Απεστειλε τον Λογον Αυτου, και ιασατο αυτους, και ερρυσατο αυτους εκ των διαφθορον αυτων:

ιασατο– derivative of ιαση and ιαομαι – healing, correction, restoring whole

διαφθορον – usually is interpreted as corruption, perversion, complete moral collapse/ruin; this compound word denotes the totality of physical, moral, and religious ruin.

3/ In general, στερεωμα is the framework or foundation for the set of energy fields made for transformations of the divine energy into a particular structured matter (e.g., water of the sea, dust of the land), the components of the world accommodating existence of mankind. Στερεωμα of this world is a particular manifestation of the universal order/arrangement/code that sustains/defines/creates divisions among the energy fields allotted for the cycles of energy transformations creating the perceivable structures of the matter at different levels of complexity. Life of the particular beings – inhabitants of the world composed with the structures of the matter – is possible only under the Heaven, within the στερεωμα – fixed arrangement of the energy fields with the limits, which humans measure with such parameters, for instance, as pressure, temperature, light, darkness, radiation, and so on (see the Pattern #11, Folder Systems, Page_4).

Στερεωμα of the human soul is the Word–God – the knowledge of God (His Law, His will, His commandments, His mercy, His Perfection and His Love – the Absolute Good) that is the everlasting life {John 17:6}: this knowledge makes possible life by the Holy Spirit. The Clarity

…I am the Lord thy God,

Who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the dwelling of slavery.

Thou shall have no other gods beside Me…

{Exodus 20:2–3}

…I am the Lord God: that is My Name.

 I will not give My Glory to another, nor My excellence*1* to graven images…

{Isaiah 42:8}

The words of God always convey the clarity: what is the good and what is the evil, what is life, and what is death.

Man has only the Lord God; there is none beside Him, and man shall have no other gods beside the Lord God {Exodus 20:2–6; Deuteronomy 4:35}.

There is one thing that cannot be found in the Holy Scriptures: indication of existence of any power over the soul of man beside the power of God. The one who kills the body is not able to kill the soul {Matthew 10:28}.

There is no freedom without God; only God sets man free {Exodus 20:2–3; John 8:31–36}*2*.

There is no life without life in God {John 6:38–40; 11:25–26; 17}.

There is no life in flesh; life is in the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Truth. Man enters the everlasting life by the Spirit of God Who comes in the Name of Lord Jesus Christ – the Son of God, the Word–God {John 1:12–13; 3:1–21;6:63; 14:15–19, 26; 15:26; 17; 1 John 5:1–12}.

There is only one way available for man – either the way of the good or the way of the evil: there is no middle way, no neutrality, no compromise between the good and the evil.

All riches and treasures of man are in the Lord God; all of man is God; the mind, that is not focused on God, has no way to freedom and wisdom*3*.

There is no one, no mediator except Lord Jesus Christ – the Son of God, between God and man {John 1:18; 14:6; 1 Timothy 2:5–6}.

There are no teachers, no fathers, no spiritual leaders beside God: all the people of God have One Teacher and One Father and One Leader – God {Matthew 23:8–10; Deuteronomy 8:5–6}.

The one is able to serve only one master: he can be either the servant of God or the servant of the arch–evil {Matthew 4:8–11; 6:24; Luke 4:5–8; Deuteronomy 10:20; 11:16}.

Man is either of God or not of God; there is no place for the words of God within the heart–mind of the one who serves the evil {John 8:37–47; 1 John 3:6–15}.

The one either does the works of the good or does the works of the evil; consequently, the one either goes to the Light – to God or shares the destiny of the arch–evil, which he serves, and vanishes in the eternal separation from God {John 3:16–21; 15:4–6; Revelation 20:11–15; 21:7–8, 27; 22:14–15}.

The edifice of the one who builds on the sand (on assumptions of men) perishes*4*; the edifice of the one who builds on the rock (the words of God) stays {Matthew 7:24–27}.

There is neither a possibility nor permissibility

to choose the lesser evil

to accept the “incomplete good”

to appease the spiritual and secular rulers/masters/leaders

by silencing own conscience and doing the works of the evil

to justify the means by the end, that is to do the evil for the sake of the good

to recompense own corruption and evil, which the one inflicted on own soul, with the treasures of the entire world

{Mark 8:34–38; Luke 9:23–25; Psalm 140:4}.

The words of God always convey the clarity of definition what is the good and what is the evil, and His law and His judgment teach the truth {e.g., in: Deuteronomy 11:26–28; 30:15–20; Isaiah 26:7–19; Matthew 5; 6; 7; Luke 6; 11; 12; 13; 14; 15; 16; 17; 18; 21:29–36; John 14:6; 18:20–21}.

So, the mind has the clarity, certainty, and definiteness, which are necessary for survival and coming into the eternal life.

So, the mind has no justification for

the search for compromises how to reconcile the evil with the good

for the sake of own advantages and chase after a phantom of the “peace of mind,”

which does not exist for the evil ones

reluctance to exclude the evil from own life – from thoughts, words, and deeds

delay of the ultimate choice of own lord and master – ether God or His archenemy, the evil one.

To make the choice, which defines life and death, the mind does not need new philosophical doctrines and scientific discoveries. The contemporary mind has to act similarly to the multitude of the predecessors who accomplished their life in dignity and righteousness: it needs to perceive the words of God and to identify them as their own nature and the way of life*5*, because the image and likeness of God are in the human soul, law of God is in the human heart–mind*6*, and the creations of God are His very Own ones encompassed by His Love and living by Him {Genesis 1:26–27; 9:6; Deuteronomy 10:12–14; 30:11–15; Matthew 5:17–18; John 10:27–30; 17; Malachi 3:16–18}.

Obviously, such identification is not done by many, otherwise, the current societies would not have, for instance,

– epidemic crimes and murders “for fun”

– the plague of mental disorders, suicides, lethal diseases

– corrupted media, which pour out the flow of porno targeting children and teenagers, promotes corruption, perversion, violence, and idol–worship (cults of vampires, zombies, aliens, magicians, and other fruits of unclean and corrupted imagination), and teaches how to disregard and defy all of The Ten Commandments and therefore, how to degenerate: how to descend at the level of ancient heathens similar to those who have to be exterminated from the Promised Land and the ones whose ultimate destiny is not the kingdom of God {Exodus 34:11–17; Deuteronomy 1:29–30; 7:1–5; 8:19–20; 1 Peter 4:3–5; Romans 1:18–32; Revelation 21:8; 22:14–15}

– corrupted consumers of the corrupted media who keep the media running, because they pay for the daily entertainment, which educates them in evil and perversion and during which they absorb their daily portion of venomous poison that corrupts their minds, silences conscience, and suppresses reasoning

– corrupted politicians who sell own country and own people for the sake of money and illusion of power

– researchers and scientists who silenced their conscience and reasoning and worship the phantasm of ethics–free sciences, which transforms them into the designers of Chernobyl and Fukushima, creators of nuclear bomb and chemical warfare, vivisectionists and torturers of humans and animals, makers of genetically–modified food and chimeras, inventors of the pollutants and all un–natural things – of all the evils that already became to exterminate living beings world–wide*7*

– so–called liberals, radicals, “the faithful ones,” and traitors of all kinds at scales; for instance, such as

1/ the ones who praise and justify acts of terror, any evil, and any perversion, any theft, and any breach of trust  committed for the sake of their

utopian “ideals” of democracy, personal “liberties” and “freedoms”

(including freedoms to deceive, to pervert, to corrupt, to betray, to enslave, to impoverish, and to kill the others)

↓  ↑

“common good” as the interests of a group/establishment which has (or struggles for obtaining)

 the access to the power of coercion,

so its good is preferred to the good of all the other

↓  ↑

fight for the absolute power of a particular religious or political establishment

(that demands the absolute submission for the majority and world–wide domination for the elite),

which, as all idols*8*, exist only in their imagination,

yet, have to be fed with human blood and suffering and to be established with sacrifices of life and well–being of the multitudes

2/ the ones who accelerate collapse and destruction of life–sustaining establishments with their mythical thinking  – mythical because they live by myths, for example, such as a

myth of democracy as expression of true will and true desires of the majority,

that is ignorant and corrupt, yet is assumed to be endowed by nobody–knows–by–whom

with wisdom, infallible judgment, and comprehensive knowledge,

which make them able to secure survival and prosperity of their societies

myth of a possibility of personal freedoms and liberties

within the corrupted hierarchical societies arranged by the degrees of deprivation of good and truth

myth of a possibility of privacy at the world–wide information–processing nets

and so on

– and many other things that are the daily life of the many and that transform human beings into the beasts who devour each other and ultimately, receive all that they deserve – suffering and ruin, even now, in this world, which they made the slaughterhouse and the chamber of torture for human and animals, and which pays back with inability to sustain abundance, prosperity, and life according to normal human nature, without diseases, insufficiencies, and suffering of all kinds.

All unrest, conflicts, wars, disasters, calamities, and plagues of the contemporary world have one thing in common: behind each of them, in all strata of the societies, at all levels of the social, political, religious hierarchies and establishments, there is someone’s personal choice – either the good or the evil.

And I think that the main problem of the current societies is that the many are deprived of the ability to understand that life is the incessant chain of choices between the good and the evil. This choice is the essence of all events, all encounters, all activities, of everything that is the daily life: in all times, in all circumstances, under all possible terms, the essence of everything is the choice either the good or the evil.

One simplified example,

if the one makes the choice among different futures,

for instance, if he need to choose what he can do for living, as a routine job

e.g., a/ to be an informer (or whistleblower, for instance),

or an executor and to exterminate those identified as the criminals and as the enemies of nation,

b/ to work as a nurse, or to work as a cleaner,

the consequences

– as the ultimate good or the ultimate evil for the others and firstly, for himself

e.g., a/ betrayal of trust, assassination of men, and

– if such actions are not compatible with his nature  –

the subsequent his own mental disorder and corruption,

b/ assistance to the suffering and sick ones

or cleaning the life–space for well–being of the others, and

– if such actions are the consequences of mercy and love to the others –

the subsequent moral satisfaction and accelerate personal development

are also his own choice.

Indeed, the truth is that there is only one choice: the good or the evil. Even if the one does not want to make any choices and simply follows the leader(s), elder(s), teacher(s), master(s), ruler(s), preacher(s), course of the events, common opinion, or any of other domineering forces that define his life by influencing his moral and ethical choices, he already failed by choosing the evil: he gave up his right to choose, to make own life and life of the others better.

With rejection of God and exclusion of the theology as the natural basis of all human activities, wisdom, as an ability to discern the good and the evil and to pursue the good, is no more. Consequently, the majority

lives by myths, by worshiping idols – figments of human corrupted imagination,

in spiritual poverty, moral blindness, without ability to perceive the truth

and comprehend the nature of things, firstly, the reasons of their own misery

exists without the power to create the good and profitable things

for themselves, their offspring, and their establishments

dies without dignity, without any good memory left after them, as the ancient heathens did.

If good and decent life in dignity and abundance of all good things is wanted, the one should  realize that there is only One Teacher and Guide for all who aspire to comprehend the good and to live for the sake of the good, according to the normal human nature – God: His law and His Word are the Light, the Truth, the Way, and the Life of man {John 14:6}.
