Learning the Truth

…For of these are those…having being heaped with sins,

being led away by various lusts,

always learning, but never being able to come to a full knowledge of truth…

{2 Timothy 3:6–7}

St. Paul the Apostle describes the people of the last days: although the people might have appearance of godliness, they are the puffed up reprobates in faith, the haters of good without natural feeling and with corrupted mind. Among all the definitions of various features of the people who are destined to live in the world prepared to annihilation, the Apostle names the worst consequence of death of reason: they always learn, yet, they are not able to come to the complete knowledge of truth {2 Timothy 3:1–9}.

If to set aside the personal traits of a sinful person [[the Christians do not have permission to judge a person – Matthew 7:1–5: a person’s sins are the person’s own business until the person’s sins –– e.g., such as attempt of assassination, forceful conversion, intentional deceit –– intervene with life and well–being of other persons]], one definition fits perfectly many contemporary establishments, for instance, atheist–materialist–Marxist–Darwinist scientific and research institutions. In theory, they are created for the good purposes – health of the population, technical progress, development of the society or a particular (usually underprivileged) group of the society, etc., yet ultimately, they never receive the good results and they do not achieve their purposes, probably, because they do not come to the complete knowledge of truth and therefore, do not have knowledge of the actuality and especially, knowledge of the laws that control the actuality.

So, what is the complete knowledge of truth and why the ethics–free sciences, which work within the framework of atheism–materialism–Marxism–Darwinism and on the basis of Aristotelian logicΣ1, are not able to learn it?

For instance, if someone who is the reprobate in faith strives to understand the laws, which control existence of the earth and to comprehend the past, present and future of the world, how and why atheism, Darwinism, and Marxist dialectics based upon Aristotelian logic rooted in the Orphic doctrineΣ2 – the logic of death, makes the process of cognition incomplete, therefore, pointless?

The Holy Scriptures provide the clues for understanding the meaning of the state of empowering for learning/comprehension of knowledge and cognition of truth and of the co–relation of this state with freedom mentioned by Lord God Jesus Christ. Freedom is the presence of the Spirit of God Who comes in the name of Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God/Holy Wisdom – Λογος/Αγια Σοφια, and Who illuminates and teaches a human being giving him complete understanding and wisdom {Luke 10:22; John 4:24; 8:31–36; 14; 15; 16:7–15; 17; 2 Timothy 3:1–9; 2 Corinthians 3:17–18; 4:3–6}.

The virtue [[virtue is life without sin: sinless righteousness is the state of empowerment to actualize knowledge of God and His lawΣ3 into own daily life, especially, by doing the works of charity, mercy, and good for the others]], wisdom, the issuing ability to learn the life–sustaining truth that sets man free and gives him the eternal life in the presence of God, and other gifts accompany the presence of the Holy Spirit. The correlation of truth, virtue, abilities of cognition–reasoning, right discernmentΣ4, freedom, love of God and the eternal life is straightforward {John 4:23–24; 8:31–36; 10; 14:6–26; 15:1–6, 26; 16:5–15; 17; 2 Corinthians 3:17–18}:

those who worship God, worship Him in Spirit and Truth, that is

in the Holy Spirit Who comes because of Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God

and in Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God Who is the Truth

knowledge of truth is freedom

freedom exists only in the presence of God:

where the Spirit of God is there freedom is

sin and slavery do not exist in the presence of God

sinners undergo transformation into slaves of sin and idol–worshipersΣ5,

because they live by false assumptions, beliefs, and misconceptionsΣ6,

and they neither know nor seek the truth

sin [[that is slaveryΣ7]] and idolatry deprive the mind of the faculty of deliberationΣ8

and make the mind incapable of cognition of truth

sin and idolatry

[[e.g., service to Mammon {in: Mathew 6:24 and Luke 16:13–17} or “god of this age” {in: 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 5:5}]]

are the inalienable features of those who have separated themselves from God.

If mind is free from idolatry and sin, it might be empowered to achieve the completeness of cognition and by learning the truth, which opens the door to eternity with God–Creator and Father {John 10:9, 30; 14:6–26; 16:7–15; 17}. The first truth the one seeking the eternity obtainable with knowledge of God followed with complete knowledge and wisdomΣ9 should learn is the Law of God. The value of any knowledge is determined by its adequacy to the Law of God, because the Law of God defines the foundation of life and controls everything.

Consequently,

1/ there cannot be truth in any theory, concepts, sciences and based upon them culture, civilizationsΣ10, social, political, and other establishments, which are not founded upon (or not derived from) knowledge of the Law of God. Without knowledge of the Law of God, there is neither true/adequate knowledge of man nor true/adequate knowledge of the world; godless “knowledge” is the sum of false assumptions, which – if accepted as the foundation of reasoning and embodied into creations of men – ultimately lead to collapse and total ruin

2/ false knowledgeΣ11, which has been accepted as truth, obstructs the work of reasoning. For instance,

a/ the malicious and sinful mind is not able to obtain wisdom

b/ the meaning of the Gospels is veiled for the unjust and the unbelievers

c/ there are people who see with their eyes,

yet, they do not perceive the actual meaning and consequences

of the observed event, reality, system,

so, they are incapable of understanding: they would not turn to the Lord God

and they would not be healed

3/ understanding, knowledge of the nature of the world and all things {Wisdom 7; 8; 9} given through the complete knowledge of God {2 Peter 1:1–11}, comprehension of truth, and the special ability/power to implement the knowledge into the actuality – all that is associated with wisdomΣ9 – come only to those who seek reconciliation with God, accept Him as the AbsoluteΣ12, and observe His commandments–words as the absolute law, and call upon God with humble and contrite heart {Wisdom 1:4–5;  7:7, 16; 8:21; 9:1–6; Isaiah 6:9–10; Matthew 13:14–15; Mark 4:9–12; Luke 10:22–23; 2 Corinthians 4:3–4; 5:18–21; 10:4–5; 1 Peter; 2 Peter}.

The value of any knowledgeΣ9 is determined by its adequacy to the Law of God, because the Law of God defines the foundation of life and controls everything. It means that the contemporary agnostic–materialistic/ethics–free sciences and the public education, which are deprived of the very idea of God–Creator, do not lead to cognition of the only truth that sustains life – the Word–Law of God: they became incapable of finding anything beneficial for human beings and human societies, because they have abandoned God and rejected knowledge of His Law.

Consequently, the knowledge produced by such sciences and conveyed by such education has as much truth as stillborn child has life.

Consequently, the people within the societies, which accommodate such sciences and force their members to undergo education offered by these sciences, are deprived of knowledge of the basic truths that determine the meaning of life and values of mankind.

Among these basic truths are, for instance, the following

1) there is no freedom without God

2) those who have no freedom are slaves

3) slavery is the death of human intelligence/reason

4) men without intelligence/reason are the living dead – the beasts

deprived of wisdom, humaneness, mercy, love, and virtue

5) any society based upon slavery does not differ from the slaughterhouse;

such a society is doomed to inevitable ruin

If people learn these truths in childhood, they know that

a) life without freedom, love, mercy, and virtue is not appropriate

for a human being created into the image and after likeness of God

↓   ↑

b) life without freedom, love, mercy, and virtue

is perversion of the human nature defined by The Ten Commandments

↓   ↑

c) any perversion of the nature culminates in the total ruinΣ13

The mind that never learned these basic truths wanders in the infernal fog of the dream worlds based on irrational assumptions and false created by the misguided imaginationΣ14. Such a mind is unable to realize that mankind has entered the phase of accelerated self–annihilation and that the foundation, on which the tragedy of self–annihilation unfolds, includes

false religions, cults, and propaganda,

which usurped the place of the Christian teachings,

perverted the meaning and devalued the human nature, morality, and virtue

↓

false sciences,

for example, the “sciences” founded upon Darwinism, Marxism, atheism, and other ideologies,

and their fruits, such as

– simplified mathematical models and figments of imagination,

which supplant the reasoning and common sense in all spheres of human thought

– perverted social, economical, and political concepts fabricated by likening human beings

to rodents, apes, bees, and other animals and insects,

with such instantaneous consequences as

de–humanization of the societies and commercialized ethics–free biological and medical sciences

with such fruits, for example, as human organ harvesting, human embryo stem cells harvesting, IVF,

euthanasia of the elderly and terminally ill, assisted suicides, poisonous drugs

↓

utter moral and physical corruption, cynicism, and inhumanity

Such misery of those always learning has an explanation: the underlying inability/powerlessness of complete cognition because of inabilities to discriminate between the good and the evilΣ15 and to identify the essence – the good or the evil – of all that the mind encounters: events, things, establishments, systems, realities of the past, present, and future.

St. Paul the Apostle {in: 2 Timothy 3:1–9} provides the first indicator, which facilitates identification of impossibility of complete cognition: absence of natural feeling. Feelings are the means to comprehend the material worldΣ16 that accommodates existence of man.

Naturally, by all feelings, comprehension, and understanding, the mind must love God {Matthew 22:36–38; Luke 10:27}: love of God is the meaning of human life and love of God sustains the life of normal human reasoning/mind created in image of God and likeness.

For the normal mind, for instance, the process defined as “evolution”Σ17 is cognition of knowledge and love of God following with development of the ability to transform the love and knowledge of God into the thoughts and deeds of man: by the love of God a human being exists, by the love of God the human mind lives, the love of God is the essence of the world given into dominion of man, and through the knowledge of God the mind receives everything needed for godliness and preparation for the life everlasting {2 Peter 1:2–11}.

In a practical sense, for the mind living by faithΣ18 and by love to God, the evolution is the process of coming to the ultimate point of the natural chain of transformations through which the divine creative energy –– love of God –– becomes the thoughts and knowledge, which man embodies into own creations – the systems and realitiesΣ19 of the material world:

                                                                                                                                    God

                                                                                                                      Divine Creative Energy

                                                                                                                               Human Mind

                                                                                                                     Thoughts Knowledge

                                                                                                                                Evolution

The evolution also might be interpreted as the constant ascent to the higher degrees of complexityΣ20 – perfection that is the constant increase of righteousness and goodness of man and the constant increase of goodness and prosperity of the world. The increase of goodness and prosperity of the world–dominion of man is achievable only naturally, through the increasing ability of the mindΣ16 to perceive →access →absorb the divine energy – love of God–Creator – and to transform it into thoughts, words, and deeds. The fruits of evolution are optimization, perfection, actualization of the maximal creative potency, and achievement of the purposes for which God has created a human being.

In summary, four inseparable processes compose the essence of evolution of the human mind:

cognition of God

acceptance of love – divine creative energy of God

coming to the complete knowledgeΣ21

actualization–transfer of the complete knowledge into creations of man:

the systems, realities, establishments of the material world

For the mind of the reprobates in faith and the puffed up haters of good [[any hater of good, firstly, is the hater of God Who is revealed through His Absolute Good]], the very meanings of truth and knowledge differ from those, which exist in mind that loves God.

The mind of the reprobates in faith operates within the void of evilΣ22, which it creates by rejection of God, overthrowing Truth of God, and violating His commandments, and which it fills with figments of imagination created to take the place of God (idols), to explain the world (scientific “discoveries”), and to sustain own survival (economics, politics, strategies of war, and so on).

The hater of good violates the main law of Love, firstly, because he has hatred, yet, hatred is the state of death {cf.: 1 John 3:14–15}. Consequently, those abiding in death are not able to cognize life. However, there is no complete knowledge without knowledge of life; then, logic of reasoning and the assumptions, which are accepted as “knowledge,” also differ.

It means that without knowledge of good there is no true knowledge of life: any science based on the ethics–free or values–free foundationΣ23, that is primarily, on the Aristotelian logicΣ1, is not relevant to the actuality of life, because it

a/ produces only false knowledgeΣ11 of life and nature

and

b/advances in knowledge of death and destruction.

In particular, atheistic philosophy has elevated the concept of eternal indestructible matterΣ24 at the place of God and a chance at the place of God’s Law. The main assumptions created within the knowledge framework based upon atheism, materialism, and similar assertions are that

a/ the matter itself does not have intelligence, but, by chance, has created the intelligence, the mind, and the wholeness of the Universe

b/ the Universe developed into the wholeness by chance: only by the blind chance it became the wholeness of the infinite multitudes of purposeful intelligent beings that are co–related perfectly to the wholeness and support existence of one another through the continuous evolution of the wholeness (that is all beings at all levels of complexity), which the misery of the mind deprived of its foundation –– knowledge of God –– interpreted as survival of the fittest

c/ consequently, the evolution is portrayed as the process of blind selection of the species that fit their environment – not the best, just fitting, therefore able to survive and to produce offspring within the existing environment.

If to apply the simplest logic of reasoning, or the common sense, toward the referred above assumptions based on atheistic philosophy, it becomes evident that for the atheist–materialist–Marxist–Darwinist sciences, evolution ceases to be the process of development and optimization: their “evolution” refers to an ability to survive – maintain physical existence within the given, determined, already existing environment.

For instance, the concept of survival of the fittest leads to a conclusion that only slaves are the best fitting species within the totalitarian state: they live as unreservedly obedient slaves – the silent and solid buttress of the oppressive regime – and produce slaves. Slavery – as Socrates convincingly explained and proved by his own life and death – is death of reasonΣ7, thus, the society of slaves is the society of animated corpses incapable of development. Yet, without development there is no evolution, there is degeneration followed with collapse and total ruin, as it has been confirmed by the history of totalitarian regimes.

So, the evolution according to the atheist–materialist–Marxist–Darwinist sciences turns into degeneration: the term “evolution” applied by the contemporary atheistic sciences, in fact, covers the anti–evolutionΣ25: the processes of

stagnation →degeneration and decay →collapse →disintegration/death

In the world built and controlled by “knowledge” produced by such “sciences,” the mission of man to actualize the evolution of the worldΣ26, which he receives from God to dominate and cherish, fails. This failure is sinΣ27 before God and before creations of God, which are given into the dominion of human being; this human sin triggers

a/ further degeneration and death of the sinners –– beings, which are incapable {not empowered – in: John 15:4–6} to accomplish the main purposes of man–creation of God: 1/ own evolution–preparation for the next phase of existence – the eternity with God and 2/ development–optimization–perfection/evolution of the realities/systems given into his dominion or susceptible to his influence

b/ collapse disintegration of the systems/establishments created by the sinners.

Accordingly, mankind has accumulated the vast arsenal of methods of annihilation:

– war, terrorism, tyranny

– genocide and persecutions based on religious, racial, national, political differences

– totalitarian states and establishments embodying ideologies of slavery and hatred

– extermination of unwanted children (abortions) and the aged (euthanasia)

– use of chemical and other barbarous weapons,

which inflict immense suffering, disfigure, and disable human beings created in image and after likeness of God

– extermination of the living creatures of the ocean, land, and air

– pollution and devastation of the environment

– predatory exploitation of all kinds of natural resources

– genetic modification of plants, insects, animals, humans

– use of poisonous drugs developed on animals for treatment of human beings

– ignorant and barbaric intervention in the life of the nature

[[e.g., irrational genetic experiments, genetic mutilation of human embryos,

manufacturing of human–avian–rodent–vegetable–bacterial–virus–etc. chimeras]]

although neither nature of man nor nature of other living beings is comprehended

and can ever be comprehended by the ethics–free sciences,

which are based upon atheism and materialism

and which operate with the Aristotelian logic of simplification – the logic of deathΣ1

If to evaluate by the results – fruits, it becomes evident that “evolution” as progress and development does not exist in the contemporary world: the proper words for definition of the current results of man’s dominion over the earth would be degeneration and regress. The earth indeed begins to look as the cursed and dying earth of the ancient prophecies {Isaiah 9:18–20; 24:5–6, 19–20; 34:1–3; Hosea 4:1–3, 10}:

–  many species disappeared from the face of the earth deforested and polluted by men

–  birds, fishes, and creatures of the seas are dying

– poisonous drugs developed on rodent and other animals, genetically modified viruses, and transgenic experiments  trigger abnormal mutations of nature, firstly, making human beings susceptible to diseases of the animals

–  mental and physical disorders and illnesses have reached unprecedented scale

– devastating changes of the climate of the world [[which begins to wipe out –– as Moses forewarned  {Deuteronomy 28; 29; 30} –– mankind that rejected the law of God, perverted the human nature and therefore, became incapable of survival]], increase suffering, impoverishment, and lethality of people in the affected by earthquakes, wildfires, volcanoes, floods, tsunamis, tornados, and hurricanes regions

– uninterrupted bloodshed, wars, conflicts, social and political unrest cover the face of the earth and undermine any ground for pretense of the current civilizations to be identified as human civilizations.

 If the one accepts the human well–being and maintenance of optimal conditions for survival →development →evolution as the main purposes of the technical, economical, social, political and religious establishments, and if he evaluates the progress of mankind by the conditions of human life, the one may conclude that there is no significant progress (if any at all).

In particular, many nations are experiencing dire economics, impoverishment, inability to protect own health, wealth, and possessions, devastating consequences of the enormous investments into weapons and inhumane research, uninterrupted conflicts and local wars, unrest, fraud in all spheres of life, de–humanization of political, educational, research, religious and social institutions, utter corruption of political, social and religious leaders of all scales and all kinds as well as many of their followers, servants, and constituents, intolerance, discrimination and persecution of people because of their race, gender, religion, political and religious convictions, chosen way of life [[for which the one answers only to God, not to all the others – until his choice intervenes with the physical safety and well–being of the others]], and other invented by men differences. Frankly speaking, the ills of contemporary population fit the descriptions given by Isaiah the Prophet to his tribesmen {Isaiah 1:3–7; 59:1–15}; they do not fit a portrayal of happy people who joyfully create and consume the fruits of evolution and technical progress.

In general,

a/ the overall picture of the societies includes everything related to death and destruction and almost nothing of reason and humaneness, or according to Jeremiah the prophet’s evaluation:

εματαιωθη  πας  ανθρωπος  απο  γνωσεως

every man has failed in reasoning

[[or vainly every man attempts to keep sanity]]

{Jeremiah 28(51):17}

b/ all gifts, which men received from the Creator and which are intended to sustain prosperous and happy life in dignity and abundance, –– everything has been transformed into the means of death and destruction

c/ it might be inferred that mankind entered the advanced stage of self–annihilation.

If so, which kind of technical or any other progress might ever facilitate existence of the people, or which kind of positive changes might be expected by those who are not able to comprehend the basic truths sustaining the meaning and value of human life – especially, the truth of the Law of God the Creator?

And I think of tragedy of the mind that did not come to cognition of truth, yet, attempts to stop the processes of irreversible collapseΣ28, which it perceives as the common problems. Such a mind does not realize that  ––  with exception of the means and methods of destruction and death, such as WMD, biomedical poisons developed as healing drugs, etc. ––  the entire knowledge–making edifice is worthless, because it does not secure cognition of the truth, comprehension of the human nature, understanding actuality of human existence, optimization, and development.

In fact, any level of political and social hierarchies became incapable of decision of its part of the problems, which threaten the very existence of the societies and their establishments.

For instance, if to consider effectiveness of the desperate efforts to find solutions for the problems, which routinely threaten well–being and the very life of many people, it might be concluded that with all enormous expenses, the states, nations, research institutions, commercial and other establishments are not able to accomplish the simplest life–maintaining tasks, for instance, such as protection of own way of life, interests and possessions – money, natural and other resources, trade and other secrets, data, information, borders…

The main truth is that God the Creator is everything –– the AbsoluteΣ12 –– for His creations, and without God, the mind has no life: insanity takes the place of wisdom. Only in God the human mind lives, and only with God the human mind finds wisdom, truth, freedom, happiness, dignity, and virtues, without which the words humaneness, humanity, and mankind have no meaning…”

Notes:

Σ1 Following his predecessors – Pythagoras and Plato the Orphic philosophers, Aristotle adopted the special mode of thinking: the logic of simplification, which is known as Aristotelian logic. Aristotelian logic of simplification underlies Aristotle’s physical–arithmetical–mythical–dialectical “philosophy,” deification of the matter, the notion of divine origin of the state along with the notion of irrelevance of the Absolute Good for the practicable material good of “social animals”–men.

Through acceptance of Aristotle’s doctrine as true knowledge, Aristotelian logic became the habitual mode of reasoning for medieval theologians and philosophers who applied heathen philosophy for interpretation of the Christian teachings, and then, the foundation of theological, philosophical, and scientific studies for theologians, philosophers, diviners, researchers and scientists who created their assumptions, doctrines, theories within the knowledge framework based on the heathen philosophy.

The fruits of these studies include political theology, materialistic and atheist philosophy, ethics–free sciences, destructive ideologies, and the art of propaganda; all of them have the main indicator – shift of levels of complexity; for instance, they justify supremacy of human establishments (e.g., communities, states, nations, empires) over their creator – man.

Consequently, the human history became a series of nightmares – the chain of the artificial imaginary worlds; with each link of this chain, or the infernal circle of dehumanization, enslaving of human beings expands more and more. Among these worlds–circles are the following:

heathen philosophy, mythology, and political theology

Aristotle–Aquinas’ political theology

destructive ideologies of Fascism, Nazism, and Communism

contemporary atheistic and ethics–free sciences

In the terms of systems logic, simplification is a term that defines violation of the systems law of adequate complexity; for instance, when the complexity of consideration is not adequate to the complexity of the subject of consideration. Consequently, the mind armed with the logic of simplification is capable only of misconception: it creates false knowledge

Aristotelian logic still is the actual basis of contemporary philosophy; it sustains the contemporary sciences and provides the basis for decisions in all spheres of life which compose the Western civilization.

The main assumption, upon which the Aristotelian logic operates, is permissibility of simplification. For instance, Aristotle explained his “theological concepts” using geometry and mathematics violating therefore, the main law of the normal reasoning – law of the adequate complexity.

However, violation of the law of the adequate complexity makes impossible creation of the true knowledge – the knowledge that describes the reality, within which the mind is accommodated, at the levels of complexity correlated with the reality. Creation of the inadequate knowledge is creation of false knowledge. Operation with false knowledge shift the mind into the alternative reality – the imaginary world composed with figments of human imagination, not the actual world within which the mind has to survive and to evolve for the next phase of existence. When the mind accepts the imaginary world as the actual reality, it subverts the Absolute – the Truth, the Word–God by Whom it should live here, at the earth, and through Whom it may enter the eternity: it begins to operate in regime of insufficiency: it creates false knowledge.

By creating false knowledge [[see Note 41 to Selections_&_Reprints_2016]] or accepting false/lies as the truth, the mind perverts own nature –– the nature of being created to live by the Truth, by the Word–God Who is the Absolute Truth [[see The Mind and The Absolute]], and enters the phase of stagnation that ultimately, results in collapse of the reasoning.

In other words, false knowledge/lies acts as the poison –– the lethal poison of the ancient arch–serpent, which is the father of lies, the incurable rage of asps {θυμος δρακοντων ο οινος αυτων, και θυμος ασπιδων ανιατος – Deuteronomy 32:33; Isaiah 59:2–11; Matthew 12:34–37; 15:12–14; 23:1–35; John 8:43–45; Romans 3:13} –– debilitating the mind and initiating the processes of collapse →death of reasoning.

Three inseparable components – insufficiency, simplification, and perversion – describe the destructive method (or mode) of reasoning, which might be identified as the logic of death, because ultimately, it culminates in

degeneration of mind,

which becomes incapable of creating true knowledge and optimal decisions,

and which lives by false assumptions and misconceptions

mental and physical degradation and death of human beings

whose mind degenerated and became incapable to sustain survival and evolution

by creating adequate knowledge that sustains survival and evolution

destruction of the religious, political, and social institutions,

which were expected to sustain survival and development of the societies and other establishments/systems created by men,

yet which are collapsing because the mind of their creators and those who maintain their existence is disabled:

it cannot create adequate knowledge, it lost abilities to identify problems and threats,

it is incapable of accepting the optimal decision

Degeneration of the human reasoning is an inability to perceive the true meaning of everything, an inability to seek God, and an inability to find God in each of His creations; all these inabilities are the consequences of

1/ deprivation or rejection of knowledge of God followed with violations of the Law of God – The Ten Commandments

2/ evil inflicted upon the others.

Deprivation/rejection of the true knowledge of God leads to insufficiency of a particular, vital, knowledge – the knowledge of own nature and of the world, in which the mind has to survive and to accomplish its mission. In this case, mind is barred from access to the divine energy of creation (which the normal mind accesses through the faith [[see Concept of Faith – Supplement 2 to Selections_&_Reprints_2016]]. Consequently, the mind enters the regime of insufficiency: it feeds itself with the surrogate – images of the matter/flesh, which are perceived/processed by the matter/flesh – and creates insufficient thoughts inadequate to the complexity of the considered subject (e.g., the drugs developed through the experiments on animals and then, applied to human beings trigger off the disorders, which are much worse than the diseases they claim to cure).

 Ultimately, the mind becomes unable to ascent to the levels of complexity appropriate to its nature: it becomes insufficient – perverted or sick and then, it is transformed into the living dead trapped within the evil time – the reality of death. Lord God refers to such minds as to those who see and hear, yet, do not perceive/comprehend, so, they do not turn to God that He would heal them {Matthew 13:10–15; John 12:38–41; Isaiah 6:9–10}.

Degeneration has many ugly faces, and although it might be accomplished through different processes, there are some general or common stages; for instance,

–– a being begins to experience insufficiency; e.g., lack of proper judgment, inabilities to choose adequate purposes, to act adequately to the purposes, to identify problems and to make the right decisions

–– insufficiency, which develops because of incompliance with the Law, triggers incompatibility with the nature of the surrounding world; this incompatibility is referred to as perversion or degeneration

–– the being with the perverted–degenerated nature becomes either an instant threat to the surrounding (environment, other peoples and their establishments) or a core of latent destructive processes, which might spread over all connected systems

––  poor health: mental and physical disorders, illness

–– the next step is either annihilation through activation of own program of self–destruction (e.g., suicide) or termination by the others, because all systems (e.g., the Earth, the world, empire, state, religion, society) have the common property: they do not sustain existence of any being, which is not consistent with their nature and which by own degeneration threatens their existence or well–being.

A perverted being, which became inadequate – incapable of surviving and development, has no alternative but to die. However, physical death is not the only consequence of perversion; besides, such a death never is instant and merciful. Spiritual and physical slavery (e.g., inability to sustain own freedom of choice and freedom of thinking), bestialization, loss of clarity of perception and weakening of the power of reasoning, incurable debilitating diseases and prolonged suffering are just some of the symptoms of degeneration triggered by the perversion–insufficiency resulting from the violations of the Law of God.

Σ22 The void of evil is the singularity, which the mind that has rejected the knowledge of God and does the works of the evil, creates for itself. Those who produce evil do not create new additions to existing cosmos: they arrange, order, and structure the singularities, which do not have access to the divine creative energy of God. They arrange the singularities of evil with the resources they have in their discretion or can take away from the others.

The ability to create is the gift of God and the creative energy originates or transfers (at the level of human activities) energy, which sustains life.

To the contrary, the works of evil culminate in deprivation of energy and the subsequent insufficiencies of different kinds, dissipation, destruction, and annihilation. Besides, all activities, which result in arrangement of the evil, follow the same pattern and do not have anything new or original that can be interpreted as creation.

For example, the history of mankind confirms that the essence of any evil is always the same: it is insufficiency, which stems from deprivation of something that contains life–sustaining energy – something identified as good, as the life–supporting necessities.

From such a point of view, the evil might be classified by the degree of deprivation–detriment and conditionally compared with two types of blood–sucking parasites:

–– one simply consumes blood of its victim; that are those who deprive the others from material goods or inflict physical harm)

–– another injects own poison into the victim’s body to keep it under control, yet still living, until it consumes all victim’s resources; that are those who re–program conscience of the victims and make them slaves – source of labor and resources – destined to serve the needs of the slave–owner). Ultimately, both types of parasites support own existence by depriving other beings of life; they differentiate by a degree of the instant impact and time–range of assimilation of the victim’s resources.

Singularity of the evil might be seen as an arrangement of the conditions, which facilitate deprivation the victims of their resources. The essence of any evil–crime against God, man, or nature is the same anytime and anywhere; this essence is

deprivation → insufficiency → collapse → disintegration/death

Σ26 Concerning evolving realities, see Note 81 to Selections_&_Reprints_2016

Σ27 Sin is a violation of the law of God: the failure to achieve the purposes, an inability to create the good that is to fulfill the Law/will of God; thus, sin is an inability to accomplish the mission of man.

In Greek, sin is αμαρτια – missing the mark, inability to get something needed or desirable or proper.

Any violation of the law of God by thought, by words, or by actions is a perversion of the human nature [[e.g., idol–worship, assassination, adultery]], therefore, the crime against God, against own nature, and against other beings.

The law of God is the essence of the human mind–heart [[see Note 7 to Selections_&_Reprints_2016]]. Therefore, sin as ανομια – lawlessness, iniquity, wickedness – is anomaly or perversion inconsistent with the human nature.

See Notes 27 and 58 to Selections_&_Reprints_2016

Σ28 The current phase of the regress →degeneration →irreversible collapse of the Western civilization was initiated at the moment when the mind created particular false knowledge that became the core of destruction. Some historians and researchers are convinced that the foundation of the Western civilization includes the Christian doctrine and they identify this “Christian” doctrine as the Catholicism, the religion actualized by the papal Church of Rome.

Therefore, the collapse of the Western civilization is either interpreted as collapse of Christianity or consequence of rejection of Catholicism, which was not accepted as the actual foundation of the religious, social and political life.

So, if the one desires to obtain understanding of the current state of affairs, he needs to answer three questions:

1) what is the main factor that determines and controls

a/ evolution →development of a civilization

and

b/ stagnation →degeneration →collapse →ruin of a civilization?

2) when in fact, the collapse was initiated?

3) can the one identify Catholicism as Christianity?

The first condition of finding the adequate answers is acknowledgement that all processes of cognition–creation of knowledge are irreversible, because whatever the mind perceives, comprehend, learns, creates becomes the part of its essence and extends existing knowledge framework, within which the mind creates its thoughts, opinions, makes judgments, devises plans and strategies, and creates the cores–codes of systems that it needs to arrange for accomplishment of purposes.

In general, irreversibility is impossibility to stop, decelerate, reverse, or interrupt the interminable purposeful transformations of the energy and processes of cognition governed by the universal law. Irreversibility in its exact meaning – impossibility to reverse a process – manifests itself when the structured matter is enabled to carry and to absorb the purposeful information.

In other words,

a/ irreversibility is the inseparable feature of the matter, which was structured for the achievement of a purpose

b/ the law of irreversibility of cognition controls the time.

Some researchers attempt to disprove the permanent character of irreversibility. For example, they refer to experiments with thermodynamic equilibrium in limited portions of the space, where elementary processes involving elementary particles can be reversed under specified conditions [e.g., Prigogine and Stenger 301]. Such property of quanta as existence in two forms – energy and matter – or discernible ability of transformation of the energy into the matter and the matter into the energy (…wave→ particle→ wave→ particle…) confirms that reversibility is the natural property of the energy, which is the source of the matter.

The living wholeness, which is our time–space–complexity–bounded earth–universe composed of the infinite multitude of the energy–information–matter systems and realities, indeed, should have reversibility of the elementary components because the components of this wholeness undergo countless transformations in the constant (constant within the temporary singularity – time–space–complexity–bounded world) cycle of

... creation → transformation → disintegration → creation → transformation → disintegration → creation →...

In general, reversibility should work only at the levels of complexity where the purposeful structures of the matter do not exist yet, or where reversibility is the natural property of energy, which has been transformed into the energy derivative ready to participate in creation of the matter. Perhaps, at the lowest level of complexity, reversibility is correlated with timelessness and therefore, with inability to serve any definite purpose within the world of the structured matter [[see Concept of Time in The Invincible Empire, Chapter 2; or reprint in Note 20 to Introduction to the Systems Logic]].

Two laws of irreversibility control the processes of evolution →development and stagnation →degeneration →collapse →ruin of civilization and any other system/establishment:

–– the law of irreversibility of cognition

and

–– the law of irreversibility of the matter, which has been structured (arranged into the purposeful system) for achievement of a particular purpose.

The law of irreversibility of cognition controls the dimension of time; without irreversibility of cognition there is no possibility to have

1/ arrangement of the time as the division between the Past and the Present, and between the Present and the Future

2/ the optimization and development as the increase of mind’s complexity: increase of complexity is the result of accumulation–learning–cognition–absorbing life–sustaining knowledge; the increase of complexity is the development, also referred to as optimization and evolution.

The law of irreversibility determines the possibility to accomplish the purposes, thus to achieve finality–definiteness of the results consistent with the system’s nature and assumed–created–conveyed–disseminated knowledge.

In accordance with the law of irreversibility of cognition, once learned knowledge does not perish; it sustains expansion: the knowledge of the good leads to the optimization–perfection–evolution; the knowledge of the evil results in stagnation–degeneration–collapse–ruin; with each new generation, the knowledge of evil  demands more sacrifices and consumes more lives and resources.

Within the wholeness of the human mind, knowledge, complexity, and time–space dimensions are unified by the law of irreversibility of cognition, which sustains advancement of the mind – either on the way of development–evolution (cognition and actualization of the good) or on the way of degeneration–perversion/anti–evolution (cognition and actualization of the evil).

The law of irreversibility of cognition and the law of irreversibility of the matter are the laws, with which the temporal world of men is built:

within the wholeness of the human mind, knowledge, complexity, and time–space dimensions are unified by the law of irreversibility of cognition

Furthermore, when the mind perceives, creates, or learns knowledge and accepts it as truth, it absorbs knowledge like soil/dust absorbs water; then, this knowledge

a/ becomes the part of the mind –– one of the components, from which the fabric/substance of the mind is arranged

b/ defines the subsequent thinking–cognition–creation–learning–disseminating knowledge.

If the mind rejects the knowledge offered as the true knowledge, because it judged such knowledge to be false [[for instance, to be heresy]], the rejected knowledge does not influence the core knowledge – the knowledge of the Absolute upon Whom the mind exists and by Whom it lives; however, the rejected false knowledge becomes the part of knowledge of the potency of the evil that facilitates survival within the world of the material things controlled by the evil.

The following example facilitates understanding of the irreversibility: by analyzing the consequences of heresy and its influence on the reasoning, the one could infer that once accepted as truth, false knowledge does not vanish; it penetrates all creations of the mind and sustains irreversible process of

degeneration →perversion →collapse →ruin

In the thirteenth century, Thomas Aquinas (1225–1274), who later became the main papal theologian [[see Doctrine of Thomas Aquinas in Folder Heathen Philosophy]], faced the necessity to justify

a/ the papal claims on divine status and absolute power in spiritual and secular affairs

b/ the papal right to use the power of coercion, including expansion of the power of the Inquisition [[the Inquisition was established by decision of the papal hierarchy during 1139–1260; see Church Militants in Folder Political Theology]]

c/ transformation of the Christendom (that is the possession of God and not the establishment of this world) into the world–wide empire under the rule of the mortal man – pope who claims the absolute spiritual and secular power and asserts himself as the self–deified idol for his subjects [[see Ecumenism]].

The Aquinas’ problem was incompatibility of the Christian teachings and the evil. However, to obtain the world–wide domination and absolute power over the subjects under the false pretenses [[e.g., that the authority of the pope is divine authority, that the pope is the substitute of God on the earth, that the pope acts by the special “divine” grace stemming from the papal office, etc. – see Notes 29, 41, 86, 107, 133 (with Notes concerning papal church of Rome to excerpts and reprints) to Selections_&_Reprints_2016, Doctrine of Thomas Aquinas in Folder Heathen Philosophy, Folder Political Theology, Works of Augustine of Hippo, and Ecumenism]] without use of evil and deceit was not is not and will not be ever possible. Consequently, either the papacy had to openly invent new religion or the existing –– Christian –– religion had to be covertly modified so it would fit the papal purposes of obtaining the “absolute power” and world–wide domination.

Hence, Thomas Aquinas

1/ accepted the Filioque in violation of the decisions of the Ecumenical Councils (IV–VI centuries), which established The Nicean Creed as the foundation of the Christian religion, forbade any modification of The Nicean Creed, and warned that those who make or accept any addition or change of The Nicean Creed have to be excommunicated as heretics: expelled from the Christian Church.

Acceptance of the Filioque –– heresy invented by Augustine the former Manichean and convert into Neo–Platonism who became the Bishop of Hippo and one of the founding “fathers” of the Western theology [[see Works of Augustine of Hippo]] –– by the papal church initiated subversion of the Absolute and the consequent transformation of the monotheist Christian religion into the papal religion of two gods, which

a/ is opened to adaptation of new idols and cults as any heathen religion is

b/ is justifying use of coercion and deceit for accomplishment of the papal purposes

c/ transforms the free mind into the unreserved slave of the mortal man –– the pope, prefect of the inquisition –– who claims divine status and ability to hold the absolute power over soul, mind, and body of man

2/ re–wrote and re–stated the Christian teachings with heathen – mostly Aristotelian – philosophical doctrines, opening therefore, the Western theology for accommodation of the Orphism, the mythical serpentine theology–doctrine of the arch–evil and foundation of the heathen philosophy and numerous heathen religions and cults of death. Then, numerous heresies, cults of the arch–evil and death sustaining divination and perversions (especially, self–torture and other techniques similar to the practices of the ancient diviners, yet accepted and practiced by the Catholic clergy and laity [[for instance, such as “Spiritual Exercises” of Ignatius of Loyola – see Church Militants in Folder Political Theology]], plagued the papal church itself and the society, which it controlled

3/ asserted that God is the source of the evil [[this assertion is blasphemy for the Christians, and this assertion reveals the complete incompatibility of Catholicism, which accepted Aquinas’ assertions as the main doctrine of the papal church, with Christianity]] including therefore dualism (one of the main components of the Manichaeism) into the actual foundation of the papal faith – Catholicism.

The assertion that papal god is the source of the evil made possible for Aquinas to justify use of evil and death (e.g., mandatory execution of the relapsed heretics [Summa Theologica II–II Q.11 a4 ro2]) as the mode of existence of the papal church and to declare that the pope acts by the power of God and according to His will, when the pope through his subjects

–– applies the power of coercion to subdue the different–minded –– e.g., burns alive at the stake the heretics, persecutes and executes the different–minded, including Christians who reject worship of self–deified pope), wages crusades against Muslims and Christians [[as in 1204, when papal Crusaders plundered Constantinople murdering the Byzantine Christians, plundering and desecrating the Christian temples, and in the fifteenth century, when pope Martin V waged crusade against the Bohemians who revolted against papal authority after the papacy deprived the laity of the Chalice of Salvation and burned Jan Hus at the stake (1414) for his rejection of the papal innovation, which re–introduced the Manichean heresy into the papal church (see Heresy and Priestreprints in Note 4 to  Selections_&_Reprints_2016)]], during which countless human beings were enslaved, plundered, and murdered

–– under the threat of death forcefully converts the Jews and the others into Catholicism and, through wars waged by knights of the papal orders in lands of Baltic and Germany, attempts to convert the Slavs/Russians into Catholicism [[e.g., in the thirteenth century, the order of Teutonic Knights with sword and fire attempted to convert the Orthodox Christians of the Northern part of Russia into Catholicism and massacred those who refused to convert into Catholicism; in the end of fifteenth century, about 1/3 of Spanish Jewry (half a million) were “conversos” [Beinart 211] – forcefully converted Jews who faced the choice between conversion and exile with confiscation of all their property and chose conversion]]

–– elevates own laws at the place of the laws of God and made himself unavoidable supplement to God; in the twentieth century, such papal self–deification culminated in pope Pius XII’s statement that ascribing “the whole spiritual life of Christians and their progress in virtue exclusively to the action of the Divine Spirit,” without the collaboration of the pope, leads to “deplorable ruin” [in: Mystici Corporis Christi. Encyclical of pope Pius XII On the Mystical Body of Christ. 1943. http:// www. vatican. va/ holy_father/pius_xii/ encyclicals/documents/hf_p–xii_enc_29061943_ mystici–corporis–christi_ en. Html; §65, 87] [[plainly speaking, Pius XII says that, without the pope, the “Divine Spirit” – that should be reference to the Holy Spirit, because the papal church represents itself as the Christian Church, and there is no other “Divine Spirit” in the Christian Church – does not work]].

Later, the Aquinas’ concept of the “god–source of the evil” matured into the von Hartmann’s unconscious death–designer of evolution, and the ancient Orphic deity –– the arch–evil/death –– took its place as the main deity of thinkers who constructed the foundation, upon which the Western civilization stands and Nazism came into existence. One of such thinkers is Friedrich Nietzsche [[see Works of Friedrich Nietzsche, Fascism, and Nazism in The Invincible Empire, Chapter 8, or Works of Friedrich Nietzsche in Folder Heathen Philosophy]].

From a particular angle of consideration, the one could notice that Friedrich Nietzsche followed the Aquinas’ example: he overthrown the existing deity – in his case, the idol–pope, and created a new idol: the Dionysian state upon which he bestowed the coveted by papacy absolute power over the subjects, and which was materialized as Nazi Germany.

Hence, the process of subverting →overthrowing the Absolute and establishing a new god that is the source of the good and the evil, with which Thomas Aquinas, in the thirteenth century, began substitution of the new papal religion for Christianity, culminated in enthronement of death as the main deity and the main driving force of Western civilization. This main idol–death

1/ was envisioned as the von Hartmann’s “Unconscious” –– the unconscious idol–designer–death indifferent to suffering of human and animal beings, which “unconsciously designs” torments, suffering, and death of mankind, while the neo–heathen philosophy covers the process of extermination with the name “development” or “evolution”

2/ was described by Nietzsche as the Dionysian state, through which the Dionysian cult of death was modified for embodiment into the reality of the twentieth century [[Dionysus was “the god of death, insanity, and divination. Dionysian cult of death, justifies the right of the ruler/controlling group to exterminate disobedient or unwanted citizens and nations for their religious beliefs, sets of values and ideals if they contradict the cult; the main fruit of this cult of death is the unreservedly obedient human weapon. Such human weapon of death became the most valuable assets of any tyrant, social–religious–political establishments that builds own authority and struggles for the absolute power with the means of suppression, deterrent, and enslavement of own subjects and other establishments, nations, states. Consequently, the traces of Dionysian cult could be found in all heathen concepts and doctrines that provide the foundation for the wide range of cults, religions, and establishments, which use human weapons and other means of self–annihilation]]

3/ was materialized as the Nazi state, in which the merciless Nazi super–race served “unconsciously” obeying “instincts” instead of reason, and gathered the plentiful harvest: lives of 14 millions of “racial inferiors” and 54.8 millions (estimated) of victims of World War II [in: Trager 893, 894], while the papal clergy, such as Cardinal Theodor Innitzer the archbishop of Vienna, bestowed their blessings upon Adolf Hitler, promoted the “divine idea” of unity all nations under the Nazis, named Hitler “the tool of God called upon to overcome Judaism” (Catholic priest Senn) and to struggle against “all–destroying atheistic bolshevism” (the Austrian Episcopate) and (as Bishop Rarkowski did) explained to the German Catholics that behind the commands of Hitler – whatever the commands are – “stands God Himself with His will and command” [La Documentation Catholique ref. and qtd. in: Passelecq and Suchecky 51–52, 285; Senn and Rarkowski ref. and qtd. in: Lewy 239–242, 279].

Besides, at the time when Cardinal Theodor Innitzer and other papal clergy bestowed their blessings upon the Fuhrer and instructed to obey all his commands, it was already possible to infer from the Nietzsche’s writings, Adolf Hitler’s book and speeches, and the Nazi state laws and policies that the “divine idea” of realization of the “unity of all nations” includes

a/ subjugation and enslaving by the means of war and terror

b/ then, appropriation of labor and resources of the conquered non–Aryan nations

c/ then, termination of the “weary human chattel” or unneeded “surplus” of human beings.

The reference to such a Future of mankind as to the “divine idea” might be consequence only of one of two things: either the Cardinal’s deity–source of the “divine idea” is the pagan god of death (e.g., the Nietzsche’s Dionysus) or the Cardinal commits blasphemy against Christian God.

Hence, that what started as the theological differences and then heresy, with which the Truth of Christianity was subverted and then, completely overthrown freeing the space for  new papal religion – Catholicism, culminated in death of millions human being sacrificed to the re–established ancient idol: arch–evil, death.

In other words, as it is written in the Book of Wisdom {Wisdom 1:12–16}, ungodly men with their works and words called death to them and made covenant with it, so they become the part of it:

the papacy accepted the power of coercion, deceit, and death

as the means to establish the papal church with pope–holder of the absolute power as its head

the papal establishment brought death and destruction

upon those who were under its control and whose thinking it influenced – corrupted and perverted by heresy and deceit

turning the thinkers and philosophers of the Western civilization away from the Truth of Christianity

Excerpts

Chapter 6. Doctrine of Thomas Aquinas

“…all Aquinas theological concepts had the practicable end: as the result of substitution of the deity of heathen philosophers (simple self–subsisting form, the first cause, etc.) for Christian God, the heathen morals and legal justice took the place of the Christian righteousness and mercy. These changes facilitated acceptance of the inhumane methods of the heathen empire as the official policies of the papal Superstructure: the papacy struggled for the absolute secular power over the world and dominion over the Christendom and needed the imperial methods to achieve the imperial goals.

For example, if to follow the Christian dogma, it is not possible to imagine any justification for the execution of relapsed heretics (as well as of any sinner), for persecutions and robbery of the Jews and the non–Catholics, and other “praiseworthy” acts of the papal “perfect” community. It was the Plato’s political utopia that provided Aquinas with the blueprint for his concept of justice and suggested the death penalty for relapsed heretics for the sake of ideal stability of the ideal society [in: Plato Laws 908d–909a]. The only obstacles, which Aquinas faced when he needed to legalize the methods of the worldly heathen establishment as the papal methods, were

→ incompatibility of the main Christian concepts of perfect love, mercy, and freedom [[the Gospels convey two direct commandments concerning imitation of God: be perfect and be merciful as God–Father is perfect and is merciful {Matthew 5:48; Luke 6:36}]] with the Plato’s laws designed for the pagan slavery–based society

→ the Plato’s assertions concerning the nature of gods, which Plato inherited from the ancient sages who kept the remnants of true knowledge of God, and which were closer to Christianity than the Aquinas’ political theological–philosophical constructions.

Consequently, Aquinas had to modify the Christian dogma to implement the inhumane Plato’s laws for the Christians–subjects of the papal Superstructure, and to discard those Plato’s ideas, which contradicted the purposes and policies of the papal hierarchy. His task was already facilitated with his assertion of the theologian’s ability to see the essence of God, and he could proceed to creation of such an image of God, which would fit the demands and needs of the Aquinas’ superior.

At first, Aquinas supplemented the image of God with such characteristics as the source of unjust laws and the cause/source of evil [Summa Theologica I Q.48 a2 ad3; Q.49 a1, a2, a3; Q.103 a7 ro1; I–II Q.18 a1 ad2 a3; Q. 93 a3 ro2, ro3; Summa Contra Gentiles III 4, 6, 7, 10, 11].

ª Portrayal of God as the source of evil is consistent with the ancient doctrine of unity and struggle of the opposites, yet, this portrayal is heretical and sacrilegious for the Greek Orthodox Christians.

Among the points of interest is the Aquinas’ dialectic, which later was used in the Machiavellian theory of state, theory of revolution, and ideologies of Communism and Fascism. With the Aristotelian logic, Aquinas (1 through 4)

1 constructs the line of arguments beginning with the description of the universal source of everything and, by elaborating the definition of God as the first cause of everything, concludes with a definition of the primary source of evil:

  • by His essence, God is the cause of things
  • God is the direct cause of everything, God works in all secondary causes, and God has in Himself the ideas of first and second beings and substances, as well as accidents
  • to deny final causality is to deny existence of Providence
  • God’s predefinition determines the results of all secondary effects
  • God has an idea of first effects and second effects
  • accidents have “distinct ideas in God, because He can know each one in itself distinctly”
  • while there is no idea of evil in God, “evil is related” to God’s knowledge “as it had an idea”
  • contraries have something in common and lead “to one first cause” [Truth Q.3. a4 ad7, a7 r ad1 ad4, a8 r ad1 ad4; Q.5 a2 r, ad4]

ª this Aquinas’ assertion in the best traditions of Aristotelian logic not only describes God the source of evil and as the source of the opposites; it integrates into the papal dogma the Stoic concept of causality

2 reintroduces the notion of an accidental cause subsequent to an essential cause (borrowed from the Aristotle’s Physics) to explain, how the evil can happen within the Universe, which, as Aquinas has to acknowledge, is under the divine government. Contrary to the Augustine’s statement (referred to as the confirmation) that, in connection with the divine providence, nothing happens by chance, Aquinas asserts that the chance becomes possible when things escape the order of “some particular cause”; then, he names the “deficient secondary cause” as the source of evil [Summa Theologica I Q.49 a2; Q.103 a7, a8]

ª the assertion reveals that while Aquinas proclaims the comprehensive divine government of “the First Cause,” he in fact, admits a possibility of disorder

3 with the reference to Augustine’s expression “there is no possible source of evil except good,” Aquinas declares that while evil has only an “accidental cause,” good is the cause/foundation of evil [Summa Theologica I Q.49 a1]. According to Aristotle, the secondary cause does not exist without the essential or primary cause; for Aquinas, the causality becomes the hierarchy: the first cause →a cause (as the midway) →the last effect [Summa Theologica III Q.6 a1 a]

ª in accordance with the referred above definitions of the first cause, it might be concluded: Aquinas has named the source of evil – God

4 ultimately, Aquinas directly names God “the author of the evil which is penalty” and implies the God’s responsibility for corruption of things because, according to Aquinas, corruption is the accidental consequence of the order of the Universe. Then, he refers to the unity of the opposites – “contraries”: as soon as “all contraries agree in something common,” in particular, in the nature of being, contraries have “one first common cause” [Summa Theologica I Q.48 a3; Q.49 a1, a2, a3].

ª This is the Aquinas’ conclusion: the good and the evil have one first common cause. Whichever logical dancing around in circles Aquinas makes with all his Aristotelian tools and with standard praises to God, the essence of all his wordings comes to the assertion, which was the sacrilege even in the Plato’s perfect Republic: the Aquinas’ god is the cause/source of evil. If the Aquinas’ god is the source of evil, it means that the nature of Aquinas’ god originates, therefore, accommodates evil.

Indeed, at the beginning of his Treatise On God, Aquinas declares that God is the same as His nature, as His essence, and as His being, God acts through His essence, and knows effect “by knowing His own essence” [Summa Theologica I Q.3 a3, a4; Truth Q.2 a3 ad3].

ª Therefore, it could be only two inferences from the referred Aquinas’ texts:

            a/ the Aquinas’ god is the source of two opposites – the good and the evil

            b/ the Aquinas’ speculations are blasphemy against God and heresy incompatible with the Christian dogma.

The Aquinas’ concept of unity of the opposites revived the notion of ancient materialists who envisioned life and development as the unity and struggle of the eternal opposites; later, this idea became the component of Marxist dialectic and also provided the ground for the attempts of the contemporary papal theologians to unify Marxism and Catholicism.

Aquinas not only incorporates into his doctrine the Manichean/Persian dualism and repeats the heresy of Hermogenes [[Hermogenes asserted that evil should be attributed to the will of God and presented God–Creator as “the author of evil” [in: Tertullian The Treatise Against Hermogenes IX.3, X.1–3 38–40]]]; with his newly founded universal cause/source of evil, Aquinas follows the Plato’s inconsistency and destroys the ground for the concept of immortality of human soul [Plato Phaedo 103c, 105a–e, 107a; Laws 896d].

Although Aquinas usually slavishly follows the pagan philosophers, in this case he discards the Plato’s advice: if a ruler intends to arrange a perfect community, he must not allow voicing of the sacrilegious claim that god – the Absolute Good – might be responsible for “any instance of badness.” Any claim on the connection of god and evil must neither be spoken nor be heard; any word and any work have to comply with the preliminary assumptions that god is good and that god is not responsible for any evil, because it is sacrilege to speak about responsibility of gods for any instance of evil [in: Plato Republic 380b–c].

It looks like the pagan philosopher has more reverence to God than the main theologian of the papal church of Rome does. Perhaps, Plato understands that what Aquinas cannot comprehend: to make God the source of evil means to destroy the very meaning of humanity and the very foundation for existence of men. Indeed, centuries later, the Aquinas’ concept of the god–source of the evil – matured into the von Hartmann’s unconscious death–designer of evolution [[see Chapter 8 of this book]].

Evidently, Aquinas has to choose to whom he desires to serve – the truth of God or the purposes of his earthly masters:

–– if Aquinas does not betray the truth, the deeds of his masters and the smell of the burned at the stake victims of the Inquisition could make people think that there is no good in the papal church, because it brings death and suffering [[when people begin to think it usually has the bad consequences for some establishments; for instance, such as disintegration, which is also known as the Reformation or the Western Schism]]

–– if from God both – the good and the evil – come, the deeds of the papacy reflect the natural order of the Universe, and everything – including robbery, maiming, torturing, execution of men created in the image and after likeness of God – is in compliance with the Law of God.

Lord God Jesus Christ explained that the good and the bad do not come from the same source {in: Luke 6:43–45; Matthew 7:15–20}. The Christian doctrine does not admit existence of the opposites/contraries/evil in any reference to God: God is Light and there is no darkness in Him; He is light and perfect Love without darkness, fear, and suffering – perfect God Who creates everything good, Who has mercy, forgiveness, and such love to His creations that He took on Himself the sins of the world, sanctified man with Own presence, and gave man salvation and eternal life {John; 1 John 1:5; 4:8–21; 5:11–13, 20}; [St. Gregory Palamas §34 in: The Philokalia 4:359].

Therefore, the assertion that God – the source of good/life might be at the same time the source of evil/death is blasphemy and heresy incompatible with the Christian dogma. Therefore, for the Christians, the Aquinas’ theological “discovery” is not only the worst heresy; it is the unforgivable blasphemy, which makes the Aquinas’ doctrine and its derivative – the papal faith/Catholicism – irreconcilable with the Christian dogma and unacceptable for the Christians.

The heathenism supports two groups of concepts concerning the origin of evil: those which ascribe creation of evil to the good deity and those which attempt to find another source of origin of evil independent from the good deity’s will.

For instance, to explain existence of evil,

––  Mani introduced the second god – the god of darkness, who exists from the eternity [in: Baybrook 310]

––  Plato named human soul “the universal cause” of all contraries, including good and evil, right and wrong [Plato Laws 896d; italic in the original].

Aquinas does not have the luxury to introduce openly new gods for confirmation of own assertions: the teaching of Mani was officially condemned as heresy and the Inquisition pursued the complete extermination of the Manicheans. At the same time, Aquinas needs efficiently set up the evil for the service of his masters–popes who, nevertheless, have no intention to disconnect themselves from Christianity because Christianity provides them with the greatest advantages to assert themselves as the teachers of the universal faith, which they envision as the basis for their claims on the absolute power and supremacy over the world. With the Aristotle’s theological–physical speculations and Plato’s “universal cause,” Aquinas unifies both Mani’s gods in “one first common cause.” Such unification became the logical basis for the self–asserted right of the papacy to employ evil, crimes, and capital punishment for decision of its problems. Indeed, if the Aquinas’ god is the source of good and evil, this god’s church naturally becomes the source of good and evil for its members whose souls are the universal causes of good and evil, so when they receive the evil from their superiors, they receive their own...”

Chapter 8. The  Actuality of Anti–Evolution

“…Nietzsche absorbed and summarized into one inhumane doctrine the notions produced by the minds fostered, corrupted, and decayed within the Aristotle and Aristotle–Aquinas’ frameworks during the fourteenth–nineteenth centuries. He digested and re–told each of the following ideas of his predecessors (from 1 through 9); then, his admirers made his works the foundation of the Fascist and Nazi states.

1 The Aristotle’s concept of the supremacy of the polis/state over its subjects/members/citizens provided the starting point for the Jean Bodin’s (1530–1596, France) theory of sovereignty, which strengthens the position of the state…

2 Thomas Hobbes (1558–1679, England) asserted the right of a sovereign to control and prevent spread of opinions, which might endanger the social stability:

→ as soon as the actions of men are the consequences of their opinions, the control of the opinions would govern the actions [Hobbes ref. in: McGovern 75].

Nietzsche interpreted this assertion in the form of warning that the power of the press is the means through which “cattle become masters”: one of the practical inferences was the total control of the press and restriction of the freedom of speech implemented by the Fascists and Nazis during the first days after election, when they obtained access to the state structures of coercion [Nietzsche (1910) §753 206; Recent Legislation in Italy 33, 41–42 (417, 425–426]. Then, the press was used as the tool of propaganda.

3 Thomas Carlyle (1795–1881, Scotland) supplied two notions:

1/ identity of the right and force; force is the right, or “might and right… are… the same”: the strength is justice

2/ feelings/instincts as the basis of a political organization, especially the state; the unconscious in the politics is the sight of “right performance” as it is in “the animal body” [Carlyle ref. and qtd. in: McGovern 201–202]

At the beginning of the twentieth century, it was accepted that the unconscious determines behavior. The flow of physical energy (identified with the will to power) was considered as “sexual in character” [MacIntyre 29, 32]. Such background allows comprehension of

a/ the Nietzsche’s negative attitude toward sexual abstinence, solitude, and fasting, which he characterized as the “dangerous prescriptions” [Nietzsche (1997) §47 35]

b/ the Nazi assertion that “the great masses” have the woman’s psyche, which must be subjugated by the strong masculine leadership – cruel and merciless, especially in a form of physical terror [e.g., Hitler (1940) 56, 58]

ª Those, who learn to control the desires of flesh for the sake of undisturbed thinking and independency of the spirit from the limitations of material world, usually practice sexual abstinence, solitude, and fasting. Nietzsche challenges and besmears these proven means of achievement of self–control, because he is obsessed with the Dionysian cult of death, which originated the Maenad rites and intended to replace the intellect with “divine” insanity and the reason with sensual perception. Besides, the Maenads are quite manageable: before they enter the state of complete insanity, they might be easily programmed by their superiors; for instance, the majority of the population of Nazi Germany was successfully set out to assassinate the Jews and the inferior nations.

4 Georg W. F. Hegel (1770–1831, Germany), to whom McGovern refers to as “the prophet of ‘creative unconscious reason,’” provided the basis on which the cult of the state developed. He asserted that

a/ the national state is greater than humankind is; it is “the ultimate goal of evolution,” obtainable through inevitable and useful wars [Hegel ref. and qtd. in: McGovern 318, 554]

ª this assertion is the starting point of social Darwinism, which envisions social development as the constant conflicts among the social groups and struggle, which secures survival of the fittest and elimination of in the weakest or unfit

b/  the state–winner achieves compliance with the “World Spirit”: the war is “the act of supreme power,” which guards and protect the life [Hegel ref. and qtd. in: McGovern 319]

c/  the state is “the Divine idea”; it is an embodiment of the universal spirit – the “one Universal Person” in whom all humankind is united (at the same time, individual minds are “unreal abstractions” or “momentary phases” in the development of the universal spirit). Thus, the state is “a soul, a person, a potent will conscious of its ends” that is superior to its parts–subjects [Hegel and Gentile ref. and qtd. in: McGovern 560–561]

ª the Hegel’s speculations reveal the basis for deification of the state: the mixture of the Plato–Aristotle’s presentation of the wars as the necessary means to support existence of the perfect community [[as the source of additional slaves that sustains existence of the perfect community]], the Aristotle’s notion of the divine origin of the state, the ancient pagan concept of the deified universe, and the Aristotle–Averroes’ doctrine, which, in the interpretation of the papal theologians, became the concept of the unity of humankind through the active intellect that excludes personal immortality.

With an assertion of war as the means of evolution, Hegel substitutes the reality of anti–evolution for the reality of evolution; the deified state, which is the Hegel’s “ultimate goal of evolution” of humankind, in fact, is the means of annihilation and the weapon of anti–evolution: Nazi Germany has proved with the lives of more than 54 million human beings that the heathen cult of the state is the deadliest weapon of suicide ever invented by those who perverted own nature and became incapable of existence. In the beginning, people created idols from wood and stone and sacrificed own brethren to the creation of own hands; in the nineteenth–twentieth centuries, people elevated the creation of own minds–image/idea and its embodiment–state to the status of idol, worshiped it, and make from themselves the slaves of their own creation. Although there is some apparent progress or an escalation of the perversion (at first, they used hands, then, they learned to employ the mind), the results are the same: the idols turn against their worshipers and take their freedom, the remnants of reasoning, and the very lives.

d/ a person believes in “the phantom which he calls his individuality,” yet he “in reality is little more than a puppet” of the society; his “very reason, will, and conscience,” conception of the world, morals and beliefs are determined by the community of the living and the dead: his predecessors and contemporaries [Hegel ref. and qtd. in: McGovern 345].

ª Hegel elaborates the Aristotle’s concept of social animal–man–property of the community. In the Hegel’s version, the social animal progresses from the physical slavery to the total psychological and spiritual dependency. In fact, man (who initially was the property, which the community apprehends) becomes the product (“puppet”) of the community, therefore, loses the ability to understand the meaning of freedom, conscience, thinking, and choice, yet acquires such a feature as readiness to be programmed and to dance according to the wish of his creator–master. The notion of the community–owner of its members also is elaborated into its ultimate embodiment – the state.

The obviously irrational assumption is the Hegel’s depiction of the society of the puppets that determines the reason, will, and conscience of its members: either the society of the puppets acquires the super–reason, which all its parts–puppets do not have, or there is another source/being that determines that what should become the reason, will, and conscience of the society of the puppets. Aristotelian metaphysics does not admit creation of something from nothing; consequently, for Hegel who obviously follows Aristotle in other speculations, appearance of the intellect in the group–society of the puppets just because they are assembled into the group–society is not the logically sound construction.

Another point: logically, the Hegel’s society of the puppets demands existence of deity. The Hegel’s deity – the “World Spirit” whose “act of supreme power” is war with which this deity guards and protects the life of its creations – is the second irrational constructions: it is not possible to guard life with death and destruction. Then, if this Hegel’s deity had created two types of beings (one type must be guarded with assassination of the others), the Hegel’s speculations are the actual source of Hitler’s obsession with the superiority of German race, which, as Hitler asserted, should live and prosper by exterminating the “inferior” nations. In summary, the Hegel’s logic, which became the foundation for the cult of the state, is the logic of death.

The very correlation of death with logic does not seem to be rational for any mind created for the eternity: death, even only physical, is not consistent with the nature of human being created into the image and after likeness of Almighty Immortal God. Therefore, in this particular case, the logic of death reflects the justification for the use of the most effective pattern of disintegration, which employs the most effective weapon of self–annihilation, thus, prepares swiftly the space and reserves for the others who would play their part in the uninterrupted processes of evolution – perfection, or anti–evolution – degeneration and disintegration.

5 Arthur Schopenhauer (1788–1860, Germany; the very influential figure in the Nietzsche’s logical reality) postulated the concept of will, which he defines as the only ultimate reality; the mind is not rational; it acts in conformity with the universal will – the vital force, which determines the life of the Universe.

In continuation of the Hegel’s “unconscious creative reason,” Schopenhauer asserts that man should not be called a “rational” animal, because his intellect serves the universal will (or the universal desire to exist), and even the knowledge about existence of the “universal will” comes through the insight, not as the result of reasoning [Schopenhauer ref. in: McGovern 409].

ª This concept along with the Carlyle’s notion of the political unconscious as the sign of right performance became for Nietzsche and his followers the ground for the assertion that the essence of everything is the will and the greatest wisdom of political and state establishments is to follow the instincts. Another interesting moment is the completion of the Aristotelian concept of the social animal: after deprivation of man from divine origin, likeness to God, and freedom, the last veil – the intellect/reasoning – is removed and the state receives its naked subject – the matter in motion and without faculty of deliberation – in the total and ultimate possession.

6 Arthur de Gobineau (1816–1882, France) introduced the theory of racial inequality: the Aryan race – the Germanic tribes, which through mixing with the native population produced all civilizations, is the superior race. The success and prosperity of each civilization depends on the right dose of the Aryan blood, and the fall of a civilization is the result of racial degeneration. With assistance of Richard Wagner, the Gobineau’s racial doctrine became the German official belief in the exceptional superiority of the German nation [de Gobineau ref. in: McGovern 500–504].

ª The ancient Aryan race is the puzzling phenomenon in the history of humankind. Myths and legends saved the dreams of the Golden Age of the Minoan civilization with the images of super–heroes and sages who possessed the perfect harmony of beauty, intelligence, and virtues [e.g., The Sunset Knowledge]. Some researchers connect the Aryans with the Minoan civilization, trace their roots to the population of Atlantis, and assert that the place of origin of the Aryans is the Mediterranean region (Atlantis); after the ruin of the Minoan civilization, those who survived migrated to Greece, India, Egypt, and Minor Asia. If to forget the fact that all the nations at the Earth have just two parents (Adam and Eve), the Aryans have no connections with the Nordic–Germanic barbarian tribes: Hitler and his surrounding adopted the Aryans as the ancestors of the “great German super–race” [[and immediately began to exterminate the adopted elder brothers – the Gypsies who are the true descendents of the Aryans survived in India]].

7 Eduard von Hartmann (1842–1906) offered own interpretation of the Aristotle’s social animal–man: man is higher than all other animals because he has the unity of three instincts: sexual, social, and “enmity of all to all,” which makes him the Aristotle’s political animal.

Such elaboration resulted in three practical inferences:

a/ the necessity of improvement of the race through a sexual selection

b/ the eradication of the “inferior races” is inevitable; thus, it is inhumane to artificially prolong the struggle of “savages”: “the more merciless is the struggle for survival the more advantageous” it is for the evolution of the race

c/ “the Unconscious” is indifferent to suffering of milliards of humans and “animal individuals” because their “torments further development, and thereby its own main design” [von Hartmann 2:11–13, 15; italic in the original].

ª The improvement of the German race became the purpose of the Nazi breeding and sterilization laws. Inevitability of eradication of the “inferior races” was asserted as the inference from the image of “the Unconscious” (an additional title for the Hegel’s “world spirit”), which designed development of humankind as the process of the merciless struggle, torments, and death of “milliards” of beings.

A human being was created to serve God and to accomplish the evolution: God is the natural focus, the meaning of conscience, the purpose of existence, the core of human mind, and the source and life of the human spirit. It means that rejection of God is not a completed act: something instead of God has to be chosen to fill the empty core, without which a human being loses the meaning of existence and cannot be a fitting servant even for the atheism–minded earthly rulers.

Von Hartmann modified the very meaning of humanity in its opposite and invented a new image of contemporary Moloch (in comparison with whom the old Dionysus is an embodiment of mercy): the idol indifferent to suffering of human and animal beings, “the Unconscious,” which unconsciously designs torments, suffering, and death of humankind and covers the process of extermination with the name “development” or “evolution.”

Consequently, the Nietzsche/Nazi/Dionysian state became the embodiment of this unconscious idol–designer–death, to which the merciless Nazi super–race served unconsciously obeying “instincts” instead of reason, and gathered the plentiful harvest: lives of 14 millions of “racial inferiors” and 54.8 millions (estimated) of victims of World War II [in: Trager 893, 894].

There are some irrational and inconsistent assertions in the von Hartmann’s anthropological and theological discoveries. For instance, the meaning of Aristotle’s political animal (ζωoν  πoλιτικoν) includes not only the features traditionally ascribed to the beasts of pray, which eat the beings of own kind. For his gregarious animals, Aristotle designed the mandatory public education–training, which was intended to facilitate co–existence through the cooperation, because the Polis would not survive without cooperation of its parts. The obvious necessity of at least some cooperation even within the herd of the beast makes the von Hartmann’s combination of the social (gregarious) instinct with “enmity of all to all” practically improbable, because the animals, which are unable to learn the lessons in cooperation and co–existence, would be cast off the herd or exterminated.

Then, “the unconscious,” which actualizes the evolution through torments and annihilation of human and “animal individuals,” has no cause to create humankind and simultaneously to desire its development, otherwise, it simply and methodically exterminates own creation. Therefore, the von Hartmann’s theological notion presupposes initial existence of another – good – deity or the actual creator of humankind, therefore, his theoretical construction re–iterates the ancient Persian dualism. Evidently, the von Hartmann’s works assisted Nietzsche in his choice of Zoroastrianism as the apparent cover–up for his “new teaching” and portrayal of the Dionysian state as an instrument of destruction and cyclical extermination of the “surplus” of population.

Many centuries ago, the ancient Greek heathen philosophers concluded: man creates his gods in his own image and according to degree of his development; thus, logically, dehumanization of man should result in degeneration of the man’s gods. It means that behind the von Hartmann’s “unconscious,” there is the blind unconscious death created by the perverted imagination of the being in the irreversible stage of disintegration who has lost any likeness to a human being.

8 Houston S. Chamberlain (1855–1926) – Englishman who married the daughter of Richard Wagner and became a subject of the German state, supplemented the Gobineau’s racial theory with the assertions: the message of Christ was “chained to the fundamental ideas of Judaism” and the Jew “will wreck… the true European spirit.” The very presence of the Jews infects the land with the Jewish spirit, thus, it is dangerous for the European states in such a degree, that in the treatment of the Jews, the European nations must “not be influenced by general humane principles” [Houston S. Chamberlain ref. and qtd. in: McGovern 504, 507–508].

ª The Chamberlain’s presentation of Christianity in the time when the Jews were associated with Bolshevism, Communism, and all other deadly sins against humankind, became the finishing touch on the foundation on which Hitler designed his world without the Jews and without the Christians.

9 The Nietzsche’s closest spiritual predecessor – Heinrich von Treitschke (1834–1896, Germany) assembled some of the referred above concepts into the set of declarations, which became the blueprint of Nietzsche’s Dionysian state and increased the number of the nations, which must be exterminated: “the nobler race should absorb the inferior stock”; the German nation is the greatest, thus it has the right of dominion over life and death of the others; for instance, “no people was ever more justly annihilated than the Poles.” The force and accomplishment of own will are the essence of the state. The state demands obedience and “cannot tolerate any power above its own”: the will of the state is superior even to religious beliefs, and for the sake of national unity, the state must impose the official religion [[for von Treitschke it was Protestantism with “the glorious deeds of Luther”]] as the mandatory for all its subjects [von Treitschke ref. and qtd. in McGovern 368–372, 380–381].

ª Thus, Nietzsche, and through him Nazism, inherited the following building blocks for the Dionysian state:

1/ superiority of the German race, which has the duty to exterminate inferior races and nations, and especially to preserve civilization by preservation of own racial purity and by annihilation of the Jewish spirit along with its bearer – the Jewish nation

2/ the image of the world, where the evolution is accomplished with merciless torments and annihilation of “the inferior” races and “animal individuals,” as well as through planned sexual improvement

3/ the meaning of the state as the deity, which is free from the morality, acts according to instincts and impulses, which sprang from the unconscious, pursues own will over rights, freedom, morals, and conscience of its subjects, and develops and expands own boundaries through conflicts and wars with the surrounding nations

4/ concept of a person as the “puppet” in the hands of the state: the flesh/matter in motion without the free will, conscience, morals, and reason, which must sacrifice own freedom, well–being, and the very life for the sake of the state and preservation of the race.

In fact, Nietzsche performed the function of a digesting sponge. He absorbed the results of the centuries of intentional misinterpretation of the word of God, de–humanization of man, and work of the minds corrupted with the imaginary worlds of Plato–Aristotle’s utopias and their offspring – political theology. Then, he poured out the collected mixture in the form of mythical–artistic works in quasi–biblical or “romantic” style, which was the suitable form for comprehension and acceptance by the minds of Nazi and Fascist leaders longing for the theatrical version of romanticism and aggrandizement.

However, Nietzsche–“Zarathustra” had a little more sophisticated self–image and envisioned himself as “the last disciple and initiate of god Dionysus” and “the first tragic philosopher” of “the tragic wisdom” of a Dionysian philosophy, which rejects any concept of being and affirms annihilation and war [Nietzsche (1909) §3 193; (1997) §295 146].

ª The human mind seeks wisdom as the source of survival and prosperous life. The very correlation of wisdom with death, annihilation, and war signifies the non–human logic of thinking. This logic of the heathen cult of death became the foundation for the image of the superman and the politics of the Hitler’s state; in conformity with the “tragic wisdom” of Nietzsche, the logic of death resulted in annihilation of Nazi Germany.

Until then, Nietzsche elaborated and supplemented the gathered notions and referred to the mixture as to his own “teaching,” which would enlighten men with new pride and new ego defined as the possession of “the awakened” and “the discerning ones.” The following declarations convey the essence of his “teaching” (1 through 4) [in: Nietzsche (1924) III, IV, X, XXII, LVI, LXXV 7, 9, 33–35, 53, 91, 245–246, 371]:

1 “the awakened” and “godlike” one knows that he is “entirely, and nothing more” than body, believes in the body, although “it is sickly thing” and he would like to get out of his skin; so, he accepts “the preachers of death” and pursues “life of obedience and of war”; his distinction must be obedience because distinction of a slave is resistance

ª This statement contradicts to another Nietzsche’s assertions, e.g., concerning slave morality; besides, it makes his “teaching” apparently irrational foundation for any social or political – especially Nazi – establishment:

at first, the notion of obedience as distinction repeats the Ignatius Loyola’s dictum concerning the Jesuit society [e.g., Ignatius of Loyola The Final Word on Obedience §2 in: Personal Writings 252], while Nietzsche apparently defies Catholicism

at second, the belief in eternal existence of the soul as the foundation for religion and morality always has the great significance for any ruler or leader.

If man is only a body, ethics and morals would lose any significance: he does not have any reasons to risk the only life he has, to live in obedience, and to follow the “high ideals” of his leaders. If man has no moral obligations before his neighbors, superiors, or society, he has no reason to accept any authority or maintain the social stability. At any convenient time, such an immoral atheist can kill or rob his neighbors, overthrow the ruler, and to take the ruler’s place along with all his possessions. Historically, the ability to influence the after–life and eternal destiny of a soul was intensively propagated as the foundation of official religion when the rulers attempted to exercise the absolute power over the subjects (e.g., Egypt pharaohs and the Roman popes).

Consequently, Hitler corrected the Nietzsche’s misconception: he provided his followers with new set of beliefs including the cult of Nordic blood and new version of the earthly deity – himself, the Fuehrer.

2 only those who robbed the wildest animals of their “virtues” – the “virtues of beast,” which are envied by men, can become men

ª Probably, this particular assertion became the root of the new “unconscious beast ethics,” for instance, the rat’s “morality,” which the inventors of the human cognitive maps constructed upon observation of behavior of the laboratory rats and applied to description of human thinking.

3 the good and the evil are illusions; all knowledge grows “beside the bad conscience”

ª This assertion prepares the ground for the Max Weber’s concept of value–neutral social sciences and admission of the morally contaminated data as the basis for scientific concepts and recommendations.

4 with the death of all gods, the Superman lives

ª The “teaching” of Nietzsche–“Zarathustra” misrepresents the original Zoroastrianism and reveals primitive materialism and continuation of the attempts to downgrade a human being to the level of an animal and then, the beast of prey. All this had been done many times and with more convincing arguments than irrational and childish fantasies, which misrepresent the doctrine of the ancient magi – seekers of wisdom. Two assertions made the “teaching” of Nietzsche–“Zarathustra” especially valuable for Nazism: the direct link between a wild beast–predator and man (e.g., “the man of pray” [Nietzsche (1997) §197 63]) and presentation of the good and the evil as illusions. With such an approach, design of the death camps, mass executions of population of the conquered cities, and enslaving of all non–Germans became an ordinary duty of the supermen.

There is an old saying about perspicacity of insanity: with “cheerfulness,” Nietzsche forewarns his readers about death behind his speculations and foresees the consequences. From another angle of consideration, he simply embodies the essence of the cult of Dionysus into the recipe of the destructive state. For instance, Nietzsche [in: (1911a) 9; (1911b) 53; (1924) X–XI  53–55]

1/ explains that he loves his brethren from his “very heart”: he does not spare them

ª in continuation of the von Hartmann’s perversion of the meaning of humanity, Nietzsche associates love with ruthlessness, thus elaborates the ground for the Dionysian state – the state–assassin: instead of the ability to protect existence and facilitate development of the civilized society, the main virtue of the state becomes the ability to terminate its subjects under the slogan of brotherly love

2/ refers to the state as to the place where life is “the slow suicide of all,” and describes the state as the snare, false in everything, “new idol,” dying for many glorified as life {the concept of common good}, “confusion of language of good and evil” that indicates the will to death, device for consuming of surplus of the population – “the superfluous ones”

3/ asserts that the “iron clamp” of the state makes possible existence of the society.

ª If to compare the Nietzsche’s image of the state with the offspring of his dreams – Nazi Germany, the actuality of description would become undisputable. The only Nietzsche’s mistake was the definition “slow suicide”: within the frame of time, which accommodates existence of humankind, the annihilation of Nazi Germany was almost instant…

Nietzsche’s abhorrence to the Catholicism increased gradually. For instance,

→  in 1885, Nietzsche–“Zarathustra” addressed to the pope as just the “old pope”; then, in 1887, Nietzsche –“the first tragic philosopher,” referred to the priests as to “the most evil enemies” and declared that as the morality, religion must perish [Nietzsche (1998) §7, §27 16, 117; (1924) LXXVIII 384]

→ the last Nietzsche’s works, especially The Antichrist and On the Genealogy of Morality written during 1887–1888, immediately before manifest insanity (since January 3, 1889), convey overwhelming hatred to the papal faith, and the papal Church. With the declaration that only one Christian ever existed and He “died on the Cross,” Nietzsche defines the papal religion as “one enormous and innermost perversion… immoral blemish of mankind” [e.g., in: Nietzsche (1911b) 178–179, 225–227, 230–231; (1998) §§8–10 17–19]. Consequently, it would be logical to expect that the papal hierarchy and its subjects would consider impossible any cooperation with Nazism, which absorbed the Nietzsche’s ideas: the Catholics are barred from any communication with the enemies of the papal faith. Therefore, either the ability to discern the evil must be completely missed before any Catholic could accept any possibility to support or bless Nazism, which flourished on the Nietzsche’s speculations, or there is some inconsistency in the papal articles of faith. This apparent inconsistency might be explained with the fact that the papal subjects are trained to discard easily all immaterial considerations in a search for the power and material wealth, as the following historical events confirm:

  • the mandatory Jesuit training in blasphemies against Lord God Jesus Christ [e.g., Ignatius Loyola Spiritual Exercises §67 298], with which the papal hierarchy teaches the absolute obedience to the superior
  • the historical affair of the Jesuits with the Confucianism.

With the appeal to the “discerning ones” to break up the “old tables” and to discard the morality (which Nietzsche defines as the “instinct of degeneration” antagonistic to the nature) Nietzsche obviously refers to the tables of The Ten Commandments that justifies the comparison of Origen and Nietzsche made by the contemporary Catholic researcher [in: Nietzsche (1911) 30–31; (1924) 244–245; in: Origen… Introduction 3].

The Nietzsche’s self–determination as the disciple and the initiate of Dionysus [Nietzsche (1997) §295 146] and the condemnation by the Ecumenical Councils (that is by the Universal Christian Church) of the Origen’s writing as heretical, mythical, and worthless illustrate the true meaning of the asserted connection between Nietzsche and Origen. Although sixteen centuries separate Origen and Nietzsche, they indeed, have the common features:

a/ both possess (or are possessed with) the particular “fire of spirit,” and this fire, which they share, is fueled with self–aggrandizement and imagination

b/ both have a similar self–image: the higher being that knows what is needed for all the others

c/ both constructed own imaginary worlds and attempted to impose onto the others the figments of own imagination:

–– Origen borrowed from the Egypt priests and Greek pagan philosophers and poets the methods of allegorical–mythical interpretations and interactive theology – through the Origen’s heretical misrepresentations of the Scriptures, human imagination came to Aristotle–Aquinas’ political theology

–– Nietzsche re–introduced the Dionysian cult of death and madness into the cultural and political life of European nations – with the Nietzsche’s “teaching” human imagination constructed the Nazi state

d/ rejection of God {Nietzsche} and misrepresentation of the word of God {Origen} culminated in the non–Christian imaginary worlds of political theology and Nazi neo–heathenism, which were embodied into the reality of existence and resulted in death and suffering of countless human beings.

Yet, there is a difference between Nietzsche and Origen:

a/ the wordings

––  Origen covers his self–assessment with the terminology borrowed from the Scriptures; some of his writings could make an impression of the positive attitude toward the undeveloped souls of the lesser brothers

––  Nietzsche openly rejects religion, does not disguise negative assessment of all the others {“inferior men”}, and interprets brotherly love according to the von Hartmann’s definition

b/  the choice of methods

–– Origen propagates feeding of undeveloped souls with the images invented by doctors of the Church and at least apparently supports the Christian dogma

–– Nietzsche denies religion and appeals to pride and own reasoning as the means to discard “the slave morality” along with the morals based on religion and culture, which he blames for weakening of the German race and refers to as disguise for “impotence to power” [Nietzsche (1910) §721 186].

The meaning of the Nietzsche’s especial hostility to the morality might be more easily comprehended if to recall that since the beginning of civilization, the morality denotes the essence of the human nature. The Nietzsche supermen – “splendid blond beasts” have to clear up their minds from the very word “morality” because they have nothing human left and might exist only by consuming resources of the other nations and at the land freed from its original populations exterminated as the inferior race – “subhumans.”

There is an opinion that almost all old heresies have the modern expression [Allison 17].

ª All modern expressions of old heresies and the heresies themselves have the same source – the heathenism. All basic versions of heathen cults reappear during the different periods of history: the heathenism and heresy as the way of rejection of true knowledge of God and methods of perversion of human nature are the permanent means of intellectual destruction. Heresy co–exists with human thought perhaps in the same fashion as any deadly virus co–exists with humankind to destroy bodies with the damaged immune system or with impaired/distorted genetic code. When the virus begins its work, a human body undergoes definite processes of decay and destruction, which a physician detects as the symptoms of particular diseases; these symptoms might have different range of manifestations determined by the initial health or conditions of life, yet the essence of disease and its outcome are the same. Likewise, the ancient and contemporary versions of the same heresies reveal the permanent patterns of behavior through which the particular stages of self–annihilation of a person or a society might be detected.

The destructive purposes of the Nietzsche’s speculations are obvious. However, what is the Nietzsche’s Future, which is expected to come after destruction of the morality, religion, compassion and after the reign of the splendid blond beasts; how Nietzsche envisions the post–destructive phase of existence? He concludes the remarks (from 1 through 3) about the society and the state with “a prodigious hope” of Dionysian tragic age [Nietzsche (1909) §25, §4 185, 194; (1910) § 890, §895, §898 324–327; (1910) § 859, 296; (1997) 126; (1911a) 9; italic in the original]:

1 for a long time, the main purpose or “the impelling power” must be the belittlement of man because the “stronger species” arise on the broad base of “inferior people,” and the weak must be kept for “an enormous mass finicking works”; they must be held in delusion that they might exist. The practical question is the scale of sacrifice: how much freedom must be taken away, or to which degree of enslavement development of the “higher species” is possible. The “impelling power” obviously means the state [[because for Nietzsche, the will to power is the essence of life, and the embodiment of will is the Dionysian state]] whose “iron clamp” is capable of restraining the masses.

ª This assertion illustrates the Nietzsche’s understanding of the social Darwinism.

Jean Jacques Rousseau correlated freedom and humanity and inferred that without free will, the morality of actions does not exist [Rousseau 325]. This link might facilitate comprehension of the meaning and consequences of the Nietzsche’s development of social Darwinism as the part of the logical reality of anti–evolution.

For instance, whichever loud words have been employed for magnification of the Nietzsche’s Dionysian state embodied into the Hitler’s Reich/Nazi Germany, its essence is the perversion of human nature through deprivation of freedom. Deprivation of freedom transforms man into the ultimate version of the Aristotelian social animal–property of the community: the Nazi “splendid blond beast” who is purified from the intellect and who acts according to instincts and impulses arising from the unconscious stimulated by the new deity–state/fuehrer

2 the “new party of life” will accomplish the rise of humankind after “the relentless annihilation of all things degenerating and parasitic”

ª Nietzsche’s project of creation of the better species, in fact, re–iterates de Tracy’s assumption that the human nature might be modified with the political and social actions: the new party arranges a long period of humiliation, dehumanization, and enslavement of men during which the strongest species develop from the mass population. After that, the new party clears the space for the strongest species by termination the wasted, weary, or unnecessary humans. Then, the party/state completes modification of the rest of humankind and produces the strongest species.

Consequently, the state already deified by Hegel assumes the role of von Hartmann’s unconscious idol and designs suffering and annihilation of own subjects as the evolution or the process of creation of the strongest species.

Adolf Hitler translated the Nietzsche’s proclamations into the language of the state sterilization laws. He also asserted that the only disgrace is procreation of children that inherit deficiencies of their parents; therefore, the state must assume the role of “the guardian of a thousand years’ future”: six hundred years of prevention of procreation of “physically degenerated and mentally sick” beings along with promotion of “the fertility of the most healthy bearers of the nationality” would result in obtaining “a high–bred racial treasure.” In addition to control of a body, the state must mold the character of its subjects, and especially cultivate such personal features as “loyalty, willingness to sacrifice, and silence,” and knowledge of the racial foundation of the Nazi state – “the purity of blood.” The education for the state subjects must culminate in military service after which the subjects would be used according to their physical and mental abilities [in: Hitler (1940) 608–609, 621, 623, 636–637, 658–659; italic in the original].

3 after “too–much of life” again will be accumulated, the Dionysian state would arise again: its destructive nature is “an instrument” of the economy of the Future.

ª These assertions modify the Plato’s utopia: Nietzsche allows unlimited reproduction for the sake of the strongest species; moreover, the economy of the Dionysian state would be based upon the cycles of production–consuming–terminating–reproduction of the surplus of the weakest beings or the “matter in motion.” Hitler accepts the notion of the Plato’s class of guardians of the perfect Republic and makes it the function of the Nazi state; his vision of the state education reveals also the influence of the ancient Spartan traditions. In addition, the ideal personal features fostered by the Nazi state obviously re–iterate the official values of the Jesuits and subjects of the papal hierarchy; besides, silence always is the main virtue of slaves in the slave–owning societies.

In summary, the actual essence of the Nazi state is the machine for breeding and producing of slaves – the human weapon ideally trained for the conquest of the world, and the Hitler’s blueprint absorbed the worst concepts of the heathenism starting from ancient Greece and finishing with political theology.

Fascism elaborated the Nietzsche’s vision of “instrument”: an individual is “an economic instrument for advancement of the society,” which the state might use and then, “subordinate,” when it “no longer serviceable”; with such utilization of individuals, the problem of economic freedom and the state’s intervention is resolved [Alfredo Rocco ref. and qtd. in: McGovern 566]

ª thus, the fascist state uses its subjects as the instruments; this solution of the problems of interaction of the state with its subjects utilizes the Aristotle’s concept of man as a property of the state…”

The Prophecy

Mercy and truth have merged, justice/righteousness and peace have befriended.

Truth has risen from the earth, and justice/righteousness has poured down from the heaven.

For the Lord will give virtue,

and our earth shall yield her fruits…

{Psalm 84(85):10–12}

The Psalm conveys a prophecy: mercy and truth have merged, justice/righteousness and peace have befriended. Truth has risen from the earth, and justice/righteousness has poured down from the heaven. For the Lord will give virtue, and our earth shall yield her fruits. Justice/righteousness shall go before Him and shall set His steps on the way {Psalm 84(85):10–13}. In Psalm 84(85), δικαιοσυνη refers to justice, fairness, equality; righteousness. It is also said concerning the Word of God: εν δικαιοσυνη κρινει και πολεμει – in righteousness He judges and wages war {Revelation 19:11–13}.

This ancient prophecy describes the time of fulfillment: the time of the unity of justice, righteousness, mercy, truth, and peace, when the earth will bring forth her dues to God – fruits of the righteous human mind living by the law, truth, virtue–worthiness, and wisdom given by God. Yet, there are no fruits until ο Κυριος δωσει χρηστοτητα – the Lord gives the virtue–worthiness {Psalm 84(85):12}; χρηστοτητα conveys meanings of virtue, decency, morality; worthiness.

Consequently, the one could infer that absence of the virtue–worth makes the earth incomplete and infertile. This earth brings fruits only if it receives the virtue unified with mercy, justice, righteousness, truth. Then, a human being obtains peace.

Man is earth, γη, and the world, into which he is born to labor, procreate, and die, he calls earth, γη. From χουν απο της γης – the dust of the earth man was created, and into the earth he returns after his spirit departed to God Who gave it {Genesis 2:7; 3:20}.

Man lives by fruits of the earth, and whatever he does, creates, destroys, consumes, he uses the components of the world in which he lives; everything that is given by (or obtained from) the earth, and is used by man, has its end–consummation on the earth. The newborn brings nothing to the earth, and the dead one takes with him nothing of the earth. Hence, the only worth that a human being is empowered to have is the virtue of his spirit: the attribute of the spiritual realm, which his mind builds by faith in God, knowledge of God, and love to God.

When St. Peter the Apostle writes {2 Peter 1:2–8} concerning the complete knowledge of God that is given by the Divine power of God and sustains all needs of man, he instructs his readers that the free entry into the kingdom of God is opened to the one who has the set of qualities that are fastened together by diligence and sustaining each other: faith →virtue →knowledge →self–control →patience →godliness →brotherly love →love. In their synergy, they bring the perfect fruit of full/complete knowledgeΣ1 of Lord God Jesus Christ. Thus, human virtue, as the derivative of faithΣ2, is the state in which man is enabled to perceive the voice of God Who is calling His Own ones through His glory and virtue {2 Peter 1:3 – δια δοξης και αρετης, where αρετης conveys meanings of virtue, moral perfection, perfection of power and might and glory}, because his virtue is imitation of perfection of God and accomplishment of the commandment of God {Matthew 5:48}.

From another angle of consideration, the one may infer that human virtue as imitation of perfection of God is undoing of the original sin.

The original sinΣ3 resulted in separation of man from the Creator: because of mistrust and rejection of the words of God, man was exiled into the earth cursed/downgraded for his sin, so he would be able to cognize evil and death {Genesis 2:7, 16–17; 3; Ecclesiastes 12:7; Isaiah 45:12}: the road back was closed, and only through death human spirit returns to the Creator.

With separation from the Creator, man became unable to see the face of God and to live; the life of the spirit became veiled: darkness has fallen onto the world, which began existence with creation of the light. The world of man became flat, one–dimensional, and dark – unperceivable beyond the human senses focused on perception of the matterΣ4. Moreover {Genesis 1:1–5; 3:8, 17–19; Exodus 33:20; Psalm 106(107):8–10; Isaiah 9:2; 24:5–6}, the evil descended on the entire world given into dominion of man and poisoned it as the rotten core poisons the fruit – the earth was cursed in the labors of man and downgradedΣ5, so it could become the means of punishment for transgressions of the people, make possible failures, catastrophes, accommodate death, collapse, and total ruin.

By rejecting the truth of the words of God and accepting the lies of the cunning brute as the truth, man not only separated himself from the Creator; he destroyed the wholeness of the world living by its Creator, and therefore, became subject to deathΣ6, which is disintegration of the wholeness–life.

Since, the one’s spiritual and the material life can be separated: two originally interconnected and inseparable realms –– the Spirit and the derivative – the matter empowered to carry life created by the Spirit can be unrelated even during the one’s life {John 6:63; 3:6}. For instance,

–– the champion of earthly power and mightiest ruler can be the living dead, the murderer, in whom there is no life everlasting {in: 1 John 3:14–15; yet, also in: 1 Peter 4:6}

–– the apparently righteous and pious one may be, in fact, a hypocrite, the walking whitewashed tomb filled with dead bones and uncleanness within, and the “offspring of vipers” – the arch–evil {e.g., Mathew 12:34; 23:1–38}

–– the one pretending to be a freeman and even child of God may be the slave and offspring of the arch–evil {John 8:31–47}

–– the weak, humble, and poor man might be the prophet with the unimaginable for the many powerΣ7 over the forces that sustain existence of the material world.

Thus the prophesy speaks of the time when the spiritual completeness of man may be restored through comprehension of completeness and fullness of the Absolute Good, the attribute of God revealed and bestowed upon people by Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God.

Those who perceive and accept the Word–God through the teachings of Lord Jesus Christ {the Gospels} receive the authority to become a child of God: the child of God is a being living by God Who is the Spirit {John 1:1–16; 4:24}. Hence, children of God are given spiritual completion by the fullness of God {John 1:12–13}. Through faith in Lord Jesus Christ and by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the child of God perceives the world beyond the limits of the matter; such a perception – the spiritual life – facilitates victory over the world, which Lord God Jesus Christ mentioned, and of which His beloved disciple, St. John the Apostle wrote {John 7:39; 14:15–18; 16:33; 1 John 5:4; see also: 1 Peter 4:6; Revelation 21:1–8}.

Restoration of the wholeness of a creation and the creation’s unity with the Creator {John 17:21–23}, is completed with comprehension of the Absolute GoodΣ8, when the Absolute Good of God becomes the absolute good of man. Then, mercy and love of God revealed through Lord Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit {John 1:1–18; 3:3–21; 14; 15; 16; 17} transform

the human clay → into the dwelling of God

{Isaiah 64:8} {John 14:23}

a mortal creature of earth → into the immortal being

{James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:3–25}

a human beast → into the child of God

{Isaiah 56:9–11} {John 1:12–13; 1 Peter 1:23; 1 John 3:1–2}

The one might come to comprehension of the Absolute Good through

–– mercy; mercy and love of God are inseparable; they are the components of perfection, which a human being should imitate if he wants to become a child of God {Matthew 5:48; Luke 6:36; 1 John 3:1–12; 4; 5}

–– justice; the highest justice of man is do not judge the others, so he would not be judged: after coming of Lord God Jesus Christ, for those who believe in Him and accomplish His commandments, the true meaning of the Divine Justice is love –– mercy, forgiveness of sins, and life {John 3:17–18; 5:24; Matthew 7:1–2; Luke 6:37; 1 John 3:14; 4:16–21}

–– peace; peace is the only condition that secures continuation of life; peace of the spirit is given by God to those who believe in Him and live by His law–commandments–words {John 14:27}

–– truth; truth is the actual knowledge: the knowledge of the world, of human nature, and the Creator. This knowledge transforms human beings into the friends of God and opens their heart–soul–mind for the Light that illuminates the path to God the Father {John 15:14–17; James 1:18}

–– virtue; virtue is the highest level of perfection; when the Prophet speaks of the virtueΣ9 that would make the earth fruitful {Psalm 84(85):12}, he speaks of the excellence–virtue –– αρετης/αρετας –– of the Word–God, Λογος, Αγια Σοφια thorough Whom all came into being {John 1:1–4}. Virtue is the definition of excellence and perfection of God as much as the human soul–heart–mind is able to perceive and comprehend it.

The excellence–virtue and overall perfection of God was revealed and comprehension of it became possible through Lord God Jesus Christ. Through acceptance of the Word–God, the one receives the life–giving Spirit of God – the Holy Spirit {John 1:18; 14; 15; 16; 17; 1 John} Who illuminates the mind and empowers it by giving wisdom to learn–comprehend knowledge of God. Through accomplishment of commandments of God and by imitating mercy and love of God, a human being becomes the righteous one – the true likeness of God; then, God the Father and His Son – the Word–God, come to dwell in him {John 14:23}.

The one in whom God dwells is the fruit of the harvest of the Lord {John 15:1–6, 16}: the being matured in truth, virtue, and justice, therefore, in wisdom and perfection.

The presence of God, life for God, and life in God transform a human being–creature of earth into a new creation destined for the eternal life –– life with God {Isaiah 65:17; 66:22; John 14:1–3; James 1:18; Revelation 21:1–8; 22:1–5}.

Then, by passing the threshold of death–exit from the limited world of the temporary structured matter, within which the creation of God completes his cognition of the good and the evil, the human soul returns into the kingdom of the Creator, as the prodigal sonΣ10 who completed his self–inflicted exile and returned home, to the Father {Luke 15:11–24}.

The explanations given by St. Peter, St. John, and St. Paul the Apostle concerning establishment of the dwelling of God, children of God, and love of God {e.g., 1 Peter 1:11–25; 2 Peter 1:3–12; Ephesians 2:1–22; 1 John}, make the meaning of the ancient prophecy clear and, at the same time, facilitate understanding of the Gospels:

by the mercy–love of God, the Truth of God entered the earth

the crucifixion of the Highest Virtue, the blameless innocent Son of God Who took on Himself the sin of the world,

undid the evil of men and satisfied the Divine Justice, so human beings – the fallen and lost creatures of earth,

could regain their birth–right and become the children of God

not His enemies–beasts who reject His will, violate His Law, and murder each other as the beasts of prey:

without God, there is no humaneness and there is no humans

Divine Justice poured down from the heaven and restored the human nature: the image and likeness of God;

the Word–God – Λογος – has transformed the human heart–soul–mind into the dwelling of God,

and the knowledge of God revealed in Jesus Christ opened the eternal life

the Divine Truth, Mercy, and Virtue entered the earth and made it fruitful,

because the fruit of the earth is the human child of God prepared for the Kingdom of God

the justice and peace of God dwell together within the human heart–soul–mind

that is the precious fruit of the earth created and cherished by God

{John 1:1–18, 29–34; 3:16; 11:25–26; 14; 15; 16; 17; 1 John 1:1–7; 4:9–10}

in summary, mercy and truth, justice, righteousness, peace, and virtue–excellence are the components of the perfection of God,

His attribute – the Absolute Good – revealed through Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Word–God. Through the Word–God all that exists comes into being, and He is the Holy Wisdom, the image of goodness and excellence of God. In Him, is all that the mind perceives as completeness of all perfection, all authority, all power, and all that is life of a human child of God. Furthermore, He is calling His Own ones – the sheep of His pasture – through His glory and excellence–virtue {Luke 10:22; John 1:1–18; 10:30; 14:6–11; 17; 1 John; 1 Peter 1; 2:3–10, 25; 2 Peter 1:2–11, 16–21; Ephesians 1; 2; Colossians 1:9–23; 2:2–23; 3:10–17; Wisdom 7:26}.

The Holy Scriptures disclose the inner connection, through which the mind perceives God, recognizes Him as the only God, understands the meaning of the Absolute Good, and is empowered to follow God through life and face physical death without fear. The understanding of the meaning of virtue–righteousness–justice connects man to God and introduces him to the world of wisdom, omnipotence, and freedom – to the world of God. To become capable of such understanding, the mind needs to learn, comprehend, and embody into own life the lawΣ11 – commandments of God.

The essence of commandments of God is love: love to God and love to the creations of God {Matthew 22:36–40; Mark 12:29–31; Luke 10:27–37; John 13:34–35; 15:12–16; 1 John 3:18–24; 4:7–17}. Then, to love God means to observe His words – commandments – law {John 14:23–24; 1 John 3:23–24; 5:1–4}.

As St. Paul the Apostle interprets the words of the Lord, love does not commit evil, thus, love is the fulfillment of the law {Romans 13:8–10}.

St. John the Apostle {1 John 3:14–21} correlates love and the eternal life; he writes that those who do not love they have no God, and the one who hates his brother is a murderer in whom there is no life; fulfillment of the commandments of God is love to God, and the one who lives according to the law of God loves God. He also correlates the state of human heart as a judge of the one’s observance of the law {in: Deuteronomy 30:14 – the law is in the human heart} and certainty (which is inseparable from the peace of mind) noticing that, if the one’s heart does not accuse the one, the one has confidence before God.

The practical interpretation of the law of love also is given by God {Matthew 7:12; Luke 6:31}:

do to the others whatever you want to be done to you

treat the others as you wish to be treated

Hence, in our daily life, it means that

–– before the one begins to talk, he should understand how his words would impact dignity, self–respect, and feelings of the others, and therefore influence the Present and the Future of the others

–– before the one acts, he should foresee the results of his actions, how they will impact well–being, dignity, self–respect, and feelings of the others, and therefore, how they could influence the Present and the Future of the others.

The road into the eternity begins with the definite thought, and this thought consists of

comprehension of the other’s nature, needs, and conditions of life

↓ ↑

understanding how to facilitate the other’s struggle for existence

↓ ↑

knowledge how own words and actions may impact life of the other

Since the beginning it is also known that, in fulfillment of the commandments of God, life and the greatest reward are: by accomplishing the law of God, a human being actualizes his nature created in image of God and likeness and earns his greatest rewards instantly, even here, at the earth: joy of completed work, satisfaction given by achievement of purposes, and peace of mind.

For a Christian, actualization of a human nature is accomplishment of the works of good; by doing the works of good according to the will of God, the Christian

becomes the embodiment of the law of God ––

the one who is living by each word that comes from the mouth of God:

from Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God

accomplishes the purposes that he was born to accomplish

evolves for the eternity with God

By fulfilling his part of the works of good, the Christian expands and strengthens Christian civilizationΣ12 and contributes into the well–being and goodness of the world. The works of good include, for instance,

a/ the works of charity, mercy, love done for the sake of the others

b/ the works that results in improvement, optimization, and an increase of goodness of the societies

c/ the works that results in efficiency, effectiveness, and overall optimization of enterprises, institutions, and establishments, which are arranged for sustaining of life, protection of well–being, overall security, and development of human beings, their families and societies.

All these works may be done because coming of Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled the ancient prophecy, making the inner human world perfect and complete and giving His peace, with which mercy and truth, justice/righteousness and virtue–excellence of God are offered to His creations to comprehend, to imitate, and to share them, and to live by them bringing therefore the fruits to God the Creator.

The ancient prophecy {Psalm 84(85):10–12} was fulfilled with coming of the Word–God into the world that God loved so much {John 3:16–21, 35–36; 17; 1 John 4:9–10} that He sent His only begotten Son to save it from death. With love of God and through knowledge given by the Word–God and with the power of Wisdom given by the Holy Spirit, the human mind is enabled to come into the wholeness of perfection: the peace of God, which it perceives as the unity of mercy, truth, virtue, righteousness, justice consummated within the human mind living by love to God and dwelling in love of God.

Σ7 When the Prophets act on behalf of God, they have the complete control over the forces, which maintain existence of the material world. The texts of the Holy Scriptures reveal that the Hebrew Prophets

changed nuclear structures and transformed the existing matter into another substance (destruction of the poison, purification of the water)

created the perceivable matter directly from the unperceivable universal energy–source of creation of the matter (multiplied food and oil)

controlled destruction of the matter (survival within burning flame, healing of the sick, sending disease and death)

restored the set of the energy fields, which accommodates existence of a living human being at the specified time–space point of the Universe (reanimation of the dead)

controlled the forces of the Nature (movement of the planets, rain and fire from the sky)

controlled the energy fields, which create and direct the force of gravity (e.g., water was parted to let the Prophet cross the river)

ascended to the level where the time–space–complexity limitations do not exist (the ability to see the Future).

Σ9 Virtue is the way of life according to the nature of man created in image and after likeness of God. For the Christians, the Word–God is the source of the virtue–excellence, and the earthly life of Lord Jesus Christ is the complete manifestation of all human virtues: the full knowledge of the Word–God, acknowledgment of His excellence, and observance of His commandments originate virtues of man {2 Peter 1:1–11; 1 John 3:2–12; 5:1–3}.

In different texts, the Greek word αρετας/αρετης, with which Isaiah the Prophet {Isaiah 43:20–21} and St. Peter the Apostle {2 Peter 1:3} refer to one of the facets of perfection of God, is translated as excellence and as virtue. The actual meaning of αρετας is moral perfection, virtue, completeness of glory and power connected with moral–spiritual qualities.

The Good Shepherd

I am the Good Shepherd and I know those who are Mine,

and I am known by the ones that are Mine…

My sheep hear My voice and I know them, and they follow Me.

And I give eternal life to them

{John 10:14, 27–28}

the words of the wise are as goads and as firmly fastened nails;

they are given from One Shepherd for unification into completeness

{Ecclesiastes 12:11}

In the Past of the Old Testament, Ecclesiastes said {Ecclesiastes 12:11}: the words/reasons of the wise are as goads and as placed firmly fastened nails; they are given from One Shepherd for unification into completeness –– Λογοι σοφων ως τα βουκεντρα, και ως ηλοι πεφυτευμενοι, οι παρα των συνθεματων εδοθησαν εκ ποιμενος ενοςΣ1.

Ecclesiastes {3 Kings 3:9; 4; 5; 8; 9; 10; 11}, who was the king in Jerusalem, the famous leader of the great nation, and who finished his career as the apostateΣ2, with his materialistic outlook of the earthly ruler, speaks about God as about a shepherd who assembles bulls into one flock using a goad to force them to move in the right direction. The goad – a tool, which urges/propels bulls/animals to move avoiding pain and assembling themselves into the flock – the unit that proceeds according to the will of the shepherd, is likened to the words/reasons of the wise. Λογοι – the words/reasons (intentions/plans) – of the wise are envisioned as stimulus/drive/force to propel (a goad is a tool to propel), which could be applied for arrangement of either a flock of bulls/animals or an assembly of the counselors.

Additional mentioning of the placed firmly fastened nails, which prevent disintegration of a construction, emphasizes that these words/reasons are for the forceful synthesis as the way of creating the wholeness.

In the New Testament, the Good Shepherd – Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, collects His sheep into one flock and leads them into His place where they shall have food and shelter and protection from the predators. However, there is no coercion: there is no earthly force of coercion applied through the tools intended to propel the herd to move in the direction chosen by the Shepherd. He is One with God the Creator Who sent Him, and He came to save His creations and to give them abundant and eternal life: He places His soul for redemption of His Own ones voluntarily {John 10:17–18}, and His chosen ones come to Him by their free will, if it is given to them from God the Father {John 1:1–18; 3:16–21; 6:65–69; 10; 14; 17}.

How then, He, Who is the Word–God, Αγια Σοφια – the Holy Wisdom of God, collects and leads them, those who are His Own and who seek the Kingdom of God? He speaks to them; they listen to His words – the words of Truth, and then, they freely, by their own will, choose freedom and life. These words ignite faithΣ3 – vision and provide guidance for the firstfruit of creations of God: the words of God give to the human mind illumination of complete knowledge and wisdom; the words of God assemble human beings into a new nation –– the nation of priests and sons of the Almighty God {John 6:68–69; 8:31–36; 10:1–30; 17:8; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:1–25; 2:9–10, 25; 2 Corinthians 5:7, 17; Galatians 3:23–26; Ephesians}.

In the time of Moses – the time of the Old Testament, the manifestation of the Glory of God was given to all who were taken out of physical slavery in Egypt {Exodus 24:16–17}: to the righteous ones for encouragement and steadfastness in faith, to the sinners for understanding that the power of God is infinite and unlimited, and that repentance followed with abstaining from the evil would lead to survival now, at the earth.

Subsequently, God guided, taught, illuminated and instructed His people through revelations given to the Hebrew ProphetsΣ4. Those who accepted the message of God conveyed through the prophets learned to live by the words of God {Deuteronomy 8:3; Luke 4:4}, by knowledge that, in the Future, the Glory of God will be seen (manifested), and all flesh will see salvation of God, for the Lord has spoken {Isaiah 40:5; John 11:21–44}.

Then, the prophets mention three correlated events {Genesis; Exodus; Deuteronomy; Isaiah 40:5}, which embrace the totality of the past–present–future:

the Lord has spoken

the Glory of God was and will be manifested

all flesh will see the Glory of God

Therefore, again, as in the beginning {Genesis 1; John 1:1–18; 11:25–44; 13:31–32; 14:6–11; 17:1–5, 22–26},

God has spoken His Word and Glory is manifested His will is accomplished

So, what, in fact, God promised to His chosen ones, and what they expected? What does it mean – the revelation of the Creator, and what does it give to the creations of God?

The given promise is the promise of presence of God, His Omnipotent Almighty Power – the Holy Spirit, Who sustains existence and initiates evolution–development of His creations {Zacharias 4:6; Psalm 103(104):24–30; John 14:15–17, 23–26; 15:26; 16:7–15}.

The first stage of evolutionΣ5 began with the revelation of the Eternal Law of God given through man – Moses and explained through other prophets, who spoke by the Holy Spirit {Exodus; Leviticus; Deuteronomy; Psalm 118(119); John 1:17; 1 Peter 1:12; 2 Peter 1:19–21}. During the first stage, a human being has

a/ to learn the Law of God, which was written on the stone tablets, and to confirm his understanding with physical actions in compliance with the Ten Commandments, as well as with the laws of Moses

b/ to train the body to live according to the nature, not according to the heathen perversions

c/ to comprehend also that a human being lives not by bread only: he lives by each word coming from God {Deuteronomy 8:3; Luke 4:4}.

The second stage of evolution is the transformation–evolution of a human spirit that has to become the temple of God built on the precious Corner–Stone – the Word–God, Λογος, Αγια Σοφια – the Holy Wisdom of God, Who came to fulfill the Law/will of God. The human essence – the inner manΣ6, or the soul–heart–mind, is transformed according to Λογος, and after the Λογος – in Christ and by Christ, so it might become the partaker of the Holy Wisdom and enter the presence of God. This phase of evolution is completed through

a/ revelation of God the Father and carrying out His will, which are accomplished by His Son – the Word–God, through Whom the creations come to their Creator and enter His everlasting KingdomΣ7, and which are opened to the human mind through faith in Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God

b/ love to God and to His creations

c/ doing the works of God – works of love, mercy, charity, and creation of the good for the others {Psalm 101(102):25–28; 111(112); Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:17–18; Luke 16:17; John 1:1–18; 6:37–58; 10:14–18, 27–38; 11:25; 14; 15; 16; 17; 1 Peter 1:1–25; 2; Ephesians 1; 2}.

In summary, firstly, a human being has to learn how to comply with the unchangeable eternal law of God that is to observe the commandments of God {John 14:15–26}. If he is successful in his endeavors, he might be transformed into the likeness of the Word–God: the embodiment of the LawΣ8Λογος, the Universal Code of creation and the Seal of immortality.

The essence – the soul–spirit–heart–mind [[theologians, philosophers, researchers use different definitions for the same phenomenon – the essence of man created into the image and after likeness of God: heart, soul, mind; in the contemporary and most simplified terms, which I use in my works, it is “the mind”; see The Mind]] – of such a being might be envisioned as the living indestructible spiritual stone created after the Word–God on Whom the kingdom of God is built: he is born of God as the immortal human child of God the Spirit, and he is an imitation of the Absolute Good and Love of God {Matthew 5:17–20, 38–48; Luke 16:17; John 1:1–14; 3:1–21, 31–36; 4:23–24; 6:63, 68–69; 13:34–35; 14; 17; James 1:17–25; 1 Peter 1; 2:4–10; 1 John; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Ephesians}.

This stage of evolution – the evolution of the human spirit – might be completed by the one who freely has chosen eternity with God.

This one is a human being who

freely chooses to accept God in his soul–heart–mind, to answer His love, to follow Him, and to imitate His perfection, mercy, and Love:

the Absolute Good of God is freely accepted by His creation and becomes the absolute good of man

by the Word–God, is redeemed from the power of the evil, sin, and death, and is created anew in Christ and after Christ

learns to love the others as God loves him

learns to be free as God is free, because he worships God in spirit and truth –

through acceptance of the Word–God Who is the Truth and the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, Who is sent in the Name of Christ,

and because he loves as God loves

At this stage of development, a human being comprehends the meaning of true freedom – freedom of the human spirit that is living by God and worships God in Lord Jesus Christ – the Truth and in the Holy Spirit {John 4:23–24; John 14:6, 15–17, 26}. The expression of this freedom is the power to identify the good and the evilΣ9, to choose the good, to abstain from the evil and sinΣ10, and to create the good, even in the world that

–– exists [[and has entered the process of collapse–annihilation, which will be competed with total ruin {2 Peter 3}]] by the false knowledgeΣ11, lust, lies and deceit, through which its ruler {John 8:43–44, 47; 12:31; 14:30; 16:7–11; Acts 26:16–18; 1 John 2:15–17; 5:19–21} debilitates the reasoning–mind and enslaves its inhabitants imposing on them misconception, bewilderment, confusion, spiritual and material poverty, misery, suffering, and death

–– by the degrees of enslavement of human mind (thinking) and body (behavior, words, actions), is arranged into the hierarchical establishments, institutes (systems), which contain different strata of the societies and nations

accommodates insufficiency of all kinds, erroneous judgment, failures, sin, suffering, and death, serves the evil, pursues the evil, and imposes the evil upon its inhabitants leaders and their subjects.

The Epistles of the Apostles {e.g., in: James; 1 Peter; 2 Peter; 1 John; Romans; Galatians 5; 1 Corinthians 7:17–23; 8; 9; 10; 12; 13; 2 Corinthians 3:17–18; 6:1–10, 14–18; Ephesians 1; 2} lead to the inferences that

Christians should be impartial:

they should have unbiased perception of the world – the perception that is based on the Truth of the words of God;

they should not judge the others by the criteria based on the values of the outer – temporal and disintegrating – world,

and they should not cover by their freedom the deeds of the evil

the outer – physical – freedom is not significant;

the purpose is to obtain the spiritual freedom, which is granted only by Lord Jesus Christ

the inner freedom is presence of the Holy Spirit

Who comes because of faith in and love to Lord Jesus Christ,

Who gives understanding that the Christians belong to God:

they are the living temple of the Living God Who is the Spirit,

and where the Spirit of God is, there is freedom

the Christians are bought for the precious price –

they have been redeemed by Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Word–God,

and they should not become the slaves of men

the Christians should guard themselves from all kinds of idolsΣ12,

through which the mind is enslaved to the arch–evil

freedom of a Christian is the freedom to choose the good and to create the good

in spite of all the evil and injustice that control the daily life

the deeds of love, charity, and mercy reveal the faith and prove the inner freedom

The one may ask, how a Christian could identify himself as a freeman and as a child of God, if he frequently is referred to [[or, as the Apostles do, identifies himself]] as a slave of God, and if even in the eternal kingdom of God those who are chosen to be with God, to serve Him, and to reign before Him forever and ever, are referred to as δουλοι Θεου –– slaves of God {Revelation 22:1–5}?

Besides the word “slave,” the human language does not have the definition of the complete unity of

the accomplishment of the will with the will

≈≈≈

the embodiment of the Law with the Law

≈≈≈

life with the Source of life

≈≈≈

a servant with the Master

≈≈≈

a follower with the Leader

≈≈≈

a creation with the Creator

So, a Christian is the one who became the slave–servant–child of God because he lives by God and for the sake of accomplishment of the will/law of God. The earthly words and definitions have no difference for the one who

a/ has the only will to accomplish the will of God

b/ comprehends God as the AbsoluteΣ13 – the Absolute Power, the Absolute Good, the Perfect Love, the only God, Master, Teacher, Authority, and Father

c/ embodies the words–commandments of God into his life.

As such, a Christian is a new creation of God in Christ – the Word–God, Who is the Savior and Overseer of souls: a Christian carries the Spirit of God within, and where the Spirit of God is, there is freedom as well as the unity in God and with God {John 1:1–4, 9–14, 18; 3:3–8, 13–17; 10:14–18, 30; 14; 15; 16; 17; James 1:17–25; 1 Peter 1; 2; Ephesians; Galatians 5; 6:1–10, 15; Colossians; Revelation 22:1–5; Psalm 32(33)}.

How then, a human being can find freedom and learn what does it mean: to be free, if he

from the moment of birth until the moment of death,

is accommodated within the multilayered hierarchies/prisons of body and mind

lives within neo–heathen empires, totalitarian states, and under restrictions

invented during centuries of deprivation of freedom accomplished with religious persecutions

(for instances, such as terror of the Inquisition, which also made the Bible forbidden book for the Catholic laity),

and by the human beasts identified as the “great” leaders

that described to themselves the dignity of God and even were canonized as saints,

who made themselves the heads of the church and pretended on the absolute power

over conscience, mind–reasoning, and bodies of their subjects

has life that is described and evaluated with the range of allowable deviations from rules and norms,

which are set and maintained by the godless political and social establishments

invented and run by the leaders who chase the phantom of the absolute power

is enslaved, deceived, brain–washed, and herded–coerced

by multitudes of political, religious, social, and other establishments?

Seemingly, the very nature of the world of the structured matter and material things makes expectations of complete freedom illogical. The only freedom that the one might be empowered to obtain is the spiritual freedom, which elevates a human spirit above the material considerations and restrictions of the temporal limited world, and which therefore sets a human being free from the power of sin and the evil, from the obligation and desire to inflict evil, suffering, unhappiness onto the others {cf.: John 8: 31–47}.

How then, a human being placed within the world of the material things can obtain spiritual freedom?

While a human being remains the unity of the soul–mind–body (or spirit–flesh, or energy–information–matter) living at the earth, within the world of the matter, only the human soul–heart–mind that carries Λογος, the Word–God, and that therefore, is empowered to live by the Spirit of God, is able to perceive the presence of God Who is the Spirit {John 4:24}. According to the will of God, by the actions of the Word–God, the act of redemptionΣ14 of man has been consummated {John 19:28–30}. Then, “the flesh” – the temporal structured matter that is man without God – was enabled to perceive the presence of God, to accept the Holy Spirit, and to become the dwelling–temple of God.

Therefore, as the Apostles explain, the mortal is consumed by the Immortal, and the children of God comprehend their true nature, establish themselves in the perfect law of liberty, strengthen their inner essence in the Spirit of God, are filled with the fullness of God, perfected with the complete knowledge of God, recognize themselves in their Creator, and are prepared to enter the everlasting Kingdom of God {James 1:25; 2 Peter 1:2–11; 1 John 3:1–2; 1 Corinthians 15:42–55; 2 Corinthians 5:4–5; Ephesians 3:14–21; 4:20–24}.

God is the Spirit {John 4:23–24}, and His gifts to His creation – a human being – are the spiritual gifts, starting with the spiritual freedom and completing with the immortalityΣ15.

Therefore, the meaning of spiritual freedom might be envisioned as the discovery of God within own soul–heart–mind and consequent understanding that with God everything is possible, starting with freedom from the power of the evil and sin and finishing with obtaining everlasting life in the presence of God {e.g., in: Mark 10:23–27; John 8:31–36; 14; 15; 17}.

Hence, the Christianity unfolds as

a/ the spiritual liberation of the one who is thirsty for freedom, justice, and righteousness

b/ redemption of a human being from the power of sin and death

c/ comprehension and acceptance of the Divine Perfect Love – the Word–God Who has saved the world

d/ understanding that Lord God Jesus Christ has created a new being for His new world

{Revelation 21; 22}

through incarnation of the Spirit of Living God in the human nature,

and therefore, transforming man into the living temple–dwelling of God

Since, salvation is possible and the Eternity is open for anyone

who embraces own nature created into the image and after likeness of God

who adheres to the law of Love: love to God and love to the others

who transforms own heart–mind into the temple of Living God

In summary, the purpose of the earthly stage of human evolution is accomplished, if, within the temporal structured mater arranged to participate in some cycle of energy transformations and to be dissolved (to become the “food of death,” to disintegrate), the new being created by the Word–God and living by the Holy Spirit of God comes to life because the Word–God, as the precious Seal {John 6:27; Song 8:6}, is engraved, imprinted into the soul–heart–mind of this new creation. Through the Word–God, this new creation is enabled to live forever in the presence of God {John 1; 3; 6; 10; 14; 17; James 1:17–25; 1 Peter 1; 2 Peter 3; 1 John 3; 5; Ephesians 1; 2; Revelation 21:1–7; 22:1–5}.

Consequently, the one, who learns and accepts the Christian teachings, understands that for imposing life, wisdom, and the law of the eternity onto His creations, the Good Shepherd of the New Testament – Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Word–God, does not need “tools,” for instance, such as the “curses” for violation of the law {e.g., in: Deuteronomy 27:9–26; 28:15–68; 29:19–20; 30:15–20}, judges, courts, elders, councils, hierarchies, public opinions, propaganda wars, all the “goads” and “firmly placed nails,” as well as other devices, with which the “wise leaders” forcefully arrange their subjects into the groups/units/establishments ready to pursue their purposes and to control those who are within their physical reach or influence. The time of force [[e.g., the laws of Moses that punished the apostates and those who violated The Ten Commandments through judgments and actions – punishment, execution]] has gone, the time of liberation {John 8:31–36} came, and the time of harvest is close {Matthew 13:24–30, 36–43; Mark 4:26–29; John 4:34–38; Revelation 14:14–16}.

At the same time, the violations of the law accumulated during history of the current and previous civilizations came before the Light, and nothing, besides the will and mercy of God, can save the world from the consequences of the evil, which has been actualized in the past, and to prolong the time left before the end {2 Peter 3:1–13}.

Consequently, for each human being, the path to salvation still is open: God revealed His love to His creations and gave them the ultimate freedom – to choose either life with Him or eternal separation from Him. His voice – the conscience – is within each human soul: He speaks, and His creation listens to the voice of the Creator, does the works of God, accomplishes His will, and enters the life everlasting {cf.: John 6:28–29; 10:130; 14; 15:1–17; 17; 2 Peter; 1 John}.

Now each human being freely decides his own destiny: either to follow God or do not follow God; his own decision is his own judgment. Christianity does not punish the apostates, sinners, and violators of the commandments of God; they themselves issue their judgment and execute it: when they reject the words of God, they leave the Light of God, and vanish into the darkness –– the moment of acceptance or rejection of the Word–God is the moment of judgment {cf.: Luke 11:35; John 3:17–21; 5:21–30; 8:12, 23–25, 50–51; 12:44–50}.

Christianity has nothing in common with blasphemous doctrines and practices of the heretics whose “tools” include Crusades and the Inquisition and who apply wordings from the Gospels and the Epistles of the Apostles as well as the term Christianity for masquerading Aristotle–Aquinas’ political theology.

Aristotle–Aquinas’ political theology is the heathen doctrine that sustains the papal establishment making it the inescapable prison under the authority of the pope:

a/ the popes/prefects of the Inquisition pretend on the power to influence the after–life destiny of human soul

b/ the popes assert themselves as the unavoidable mediators between God and man, as the inevitable authority, without submission to which eternal salvation cannot be obtained

c/ the popes ascribe to themselves other attributes of deityΣ16.

Hence, the papal subject is expected to believe in the eternal and absolute power of the pope, live in unreserved obedience to the pope without whom, as the popes assert, neither the Holy Spirit works nor eternal salvation is possible, and therefore, must not seek way out.

The Christians hold as unacceptable the assertion that the church and its officials have the right to inflict pain and suffering and to exercise the power of physical coercion over the human body for the forceful conversion of a human being and for enslaving the human soul, because

1/ only by the will of God the one comes to Him through Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God {John 6:44–45, 65; 14:6; 17:6; Romans 8:28–39} Who is the Only Head and the only Authority over His church, not otherwise

2/ the Christians are recognized by accomplishment of God’s commandment of love to each other: coercion, deceit, torture, murder, and other evils are not the attributes of the Christian love {John 13:34–35; 1 John; 1 Corinthians 13; Romans 13:9–10}.

Those who desire to enter the eternity with God, have to use all personal abilities, strengths, and powers to embody the teachings of Lord God Jesus Christ into the actuality – the daily life, sometimes in opposition to the entire surrounding – family, friends, neighbors, co–workers, and the others. The Kingdom of God is taken by force: through the hard work, continuous efforts, and spiritual battle with the one’s very own weakness, doubts, and temptations, firstly, the temptation to choose the easy ways – the ways of compromises in the matters of faith, religion, virtue and ethics, silencing own conscience, giving up the freedom of thinking and slavish agreement with the opinions of the others, acceptance of political correctness. The Kingdom of God is the precious prize that the winner obtains in the war with the evil, and so difficult and terrifying this war is that even the closest relatives and friends might become enemies and traitors {cf.: Matthew 7:13–14; 10:26–39; 11:12; 24:4–13; Mark 13:5–13; Luke 21:16–18; John 15:18–27; 16:1–3; Revelation 21:7–8; Isaiah 9:18–21}.

Furthermore, Christianity has no secrets and no mysteries {John 18:19–21}: it is the open book of guidance for those who have chosen to follow its Author – the Word–God.

Christianity appeals not to the curiosity of the mind that seeks secret knowledge in the fog of human imagination and myths invented by divinersΣ17, philosophizing theologians, groups/sects/elites/orders in attempts to elevate themselves over all the others and to assume the advantages and rights, to which the others (those who do not share membership in the group/sect/elite/order) are not entitled.

The wisdom of Christianity is the Αγια Σοφια – the Word–God, Λογος, Who is the most precious treasure and love of a Christian, and through Whom all that exists came into the being: this Wisdom is the everlasting life given freely to all who longs for life; this Wisdom appeals to the human soul–heart–mind that perceives the call of God as the lost sheep hears the voice of the Good Shepherd {Matthew 15:24; 18:11–14; John 10:27–30; Psalm 118(119):176}. The one receives this Wisdom only if, according to the will of God, he may be empowered–illuminated–guided by the Holy Spirit {John 14:15–26; 15:26; 16:7–15}. Then, as the lost sheep hears the voice of the Good Shepherd and runs to Him, similarly, the soul–heart–mind

a/ recognizes Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, as the very own God and Teacher and Creator and Overseer, as the very own life, as the very own essence, as the very own image in the mirror

b/ clings to Lord Jesus Christ to obtain freedom from the evil and sin, to receive the power to accomplish His works, and to enter the everlasting life

c/ follows Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior, as to the Good Shepherd,

Who seeks the lost and helpless and hopeless and labored and overburdened and worn out and sick and unwanted ones

that are rejected by the societies and hierarchies,

into which the worshipers of material values and evil are arranged to pursue evil and to serve the arch–evil,

and

Who leads the recovered and saved ones into the house of the Father

{cf.: Luke 15:4–7; John 6:27–69; 8:31–36; 10:1–30; 14; 15; 17; 1 Peter 2:25; 2 Corinthians 3:17–18}.

Christian teachings has the universal appeal, because it is

–– revelation of Almighty Omnipotent God the Creator, which is adequate to the original human nature created after the image of God and likeness and innate for the one whose heart is the vessel of the law

–– proof of love of God to His creations

–– the zenith of wisdomΣ18 accessible to the mind living within the world buried in evil under the authority of the arch–evil {Acts 26:15–18; 1 John 5:19}

–– the guiding light leading through the darkness of death into the new everlasting world living by God {Revelation 21:22–27}

–– the victory of love and humanity over the inhuman world controlled by the arch–evil and death.

Christianity is the spiritual world of a Christian: it sustains the unique Christian civilizationΣ19, which is the earthly part of the eternal realm of God, and in which

there are no divisions – nations, races, hierarchies, rich and poor, whites and blacks,

wise and simple, slaves and freemen – among those who live by Christ

↓ ↑

for those who live by Christ,

there are no “universal” fathers/teachers/shepherds/earthly “substitutes of God”

{Matthew 23:8–11}

who (similarly to the ancient self–deified kings–priests–pharaohs)

make from themselves idols entitled to unreserved slavish obedience of subjects,

assert themselves as the unavoidable attachments to God,

pretend to have the power to override His Law and to bind His will,

and who pretend on “standing in God’s place”

↓ ↑

among those who live by Christ,

there are no unreservedly obedient slaves of men

who have silenced their conscience and serve the idol – the lawless “son of perdition”

through whom “the mystery of lawlessness” works,

that makes god from himself, and attempts to usurp the throne of God in His the temple

↓ ↑

among those who live by Christ,

there are no inquisitors with their stakes and tools of torture, the “divine functionaries,”

and the “priests in the mortal sin”Σ20 headed by the deified prefect of the Inquisition – the pope

↓ ↑

for those who live by Christ,

there is nothing,

because of which and with which one man can assert own superiority over another man,

to position himself as the necessary link–step–mediator between God and His creation – human being,

and to assert his “authority” over postmortem destiny of a human soul

≈ ≈ ≈≈ ≈ ≈ ≈ ≈ ≈ ≈ ≈ ≈ ≈ ≈

BECAUSE

≈ ≈ ≈≈ ≈ ≈ ≈ ≈ ≈ ≈ ≈ ≈ ≈ ≈

THE CHRISTIANS

↓ ↑

all have One Father, One Teacher, One Shepherd, One Overseer of the souls

↓ ↑

each one is a being born of God – created in likeness of Christ and baptizedΣ21 by the Divine Fire – the Holy Spirit

↓ ↑

each one is the living temple of the Living God, the dwelling of the Holy Spirit,

although manifestations of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are different, as different are all unique human beings,

as different are their purposes and ways of ascent to completeness of perfection

↓ ↑

all are equal children of God –

the beings born of the Spirit of God, loved, saved, nurtured, freed from the slavery of sin and evil –

sustained by One God and serving One God – the Lord, the Father, the Master, the Teacher

↓ ↑

all are unified by Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, Who is the Perfect Love and Glory of God the Father

↓ ↑

are cast out by the world of the evil for rejection of the idols

for they dissent from materialism, corruption, and false values of the societies

that put interests and desires of those with access to the earthly power of coercion

above interests, values, life, health, and happiness of those

who do not have access to the earthly power of coercion

{e.g., in: Matthew 23:8–12; 24:7–13; Mark 9:33–37; 10:42–45; Luke 9:23–26, 51–56; 14:1–35; 15:1–32;

John 1:1–18; 3:5–6, 16–21; 4:23–24; 6; 8; 10; 14; 15; 16; 17;

James; 1 Peter; 2 Peter; 1 John; Romans 6:1–23; 8:35–39; 11:33–36; 12; Galatians 3:26–29; 1 Corinthians 3:16–23; 7:21–23; 12:3–31;

2 Corinthians 6:1–10, 14–18; Ephesians; 2 Thessalonians 2; Malachi 3:17–18}

Indeed, Christianity is the freedom – the ultimate freedom that could be open to anyone who sees beyond the earthly hierarchiesΣ22, is not afraid of the power of coercionΣ23, and does not worship phantom of the absolute powerΣ24: the spiritual freedom from the evil –– the freedom that can be obtained only with God the Spirit. The one obtains this freedom through the Word–God – the only Wisdom, the only Way, the only Truth, the only Light, and the only Life.

So,

in the Old Testament,

Ecclesiastes envisioned the tool/drive materialized into the words/reasons of the wise

and forcing animals toward unity of the one flock

in the New Testament,

the soul–heart–mind comes freely to the Wisdom – the Word–God

rejects the evil–ignorance–death

chooses the good–wisdom–life becoming the likeness of the Word–God,

and, as such, a child of God

What, then, has to be changed within the human heart–mind, so it could perceive the coercive power ascribed to the law as the ultimate freedom? Into what the human heart–mind has to evolve with the knowledge of the law of God – the Law that defines the human nature {Mark 12:28–34; Luke 10:25–37}?

It should be something within the soul–heart–mind that enables man to perceive the Word–God:

Solomon wrote of the precious seal on the heart of man

St. Paul the Apostle sees the letters of Christ written on the flashy tablet of the heartΣ25

St. James the Apostle discloses the results of transformation:

the one looks into the Word–God and in Him, sees own reflection

similarly to the one who sees himself in the mirror;

then, if the one accepts the divine law of freedom and abides in it, he is blessed in his endeavors

St. John the Apostle completes the explanation: the children of God will be similar to God,

and, after the new beginning, those, who enter eternal life with God, will carry His name

{Song 8:6; James 1:18, 21–25; 1 John 2:1–25; 3:3–4, 6; 5:11–12; 2 Corinthians 3:3, 17–18; Revelation 7:14–17; 21:3–7; 22:1–7}

When St. Paul the Apostle explains the Christian teachings, he mentions transformation of the mortal and corruptible into a new – immortal and incorruptible – being who is created in Christ and by Christ: the child of God created in righteousness and holiness of truth {1 Corinthians 15; 2 Corinthians 3; Ephesians}.

This transformation might be envisioned as the consequence of three interconnected acts:

the Word of God is inscribed or engraved into the heart of man

through Lord Jesus Christ Who is the Image of God,

the heart is completed–sealed with the Love of God

that empowers it to perceive and to comprehend the Glory of God

similarly to the precious stone engraved with the writing of God,

the heart becomes the tablet of covenant,

which is inseparable from Word–God as the engraved letters of the Law were inseparable

from the original stone tables of testimony that God made for Moses

{Exodus 31:18; 32:15–19; John 17; Romans 8:35–39}.

Hence, the Christians carry God within: the Word–God becomes the essence of each living soul – He lives eternally, and everyone who lives by Him obtains the eternal life {John 1:1–4, 9–14; 3:5–7, 16–19, 36; 6; 8:31–36; 11:25–26; 14; 17; James 1:18, 21; 1 John 2:1–10; 3:3–4; 5:11–12; Romans 8:35–39; 2 Corinthians 3:3; Revelation 7:14–17; 21:3–6; 22:1–6}:

Lord God Jesus Christ, the Word–God, is the precious seal, the Code of the immortality

imprinted onto the human soul–heart–mind

||

He is the Alpha and the Omega,

the Beginning and the End, the Source of eternal life

||

through Him, the mortal creature of dust and the food of the evil/death

is cleansed of evil

is enlightened by the Light of God and set free by the knowledge of Truth

carries the Christ’s letter inscribed by the Spirit of the Living God

is transformed into the dwelling of the Living God,

and he abides in Love of God

receives the authority to be a child of God, who is born of God,

and who shall live in the presence of God forever

In conclusion, the one could envision the last phase of evolution, which the human heart–mind has to undergo within the world of the matter, as the process, during which the Word of God, Λογος, is written into the heart–mind – spiritual essence of a human beingΣ6. When the Word–God – the Perfect Love, as the last and precious Seal, is engraved into the human mind, He transforms it into the living proof of the new covenant between God and His creation. The end of evolution comes when God’s writings on the “fleshy tablets” of human heart–mind make it complete and perfect, and thus, according to the words of God {in: Luke 17:21: “the kingdom of God is within you” – η Βασιλεια του Θεου εντος υμων εστιν}, enabled to carry the Kingdom of God within that makes it ready for the eternity with God.

The referred above texts from the Holy Scriptures explain why acceptance of the law as the perfect freedom is possible:

a/ freedom is the unrestricted right to make a choice

b/ Christian freedom is the choice to follow the Absolute Good of God, to live, to love, and to die according to the law–commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, the essence of which is love – love to God and love to the creations of God, to choose and to accept wisdomΣ18 bestowed by God, to imitate love and mercy of God, and to accomplish the works of God – faith, mercy, creation of the goodΣ26

c/ Christian freedom is the freedom to live by the values established by God – by His Absolute Good. The one who lives by God has freedom to create the good and to reject the evil even within the world controlled by the ultimate evil – death, even in the world where the good choice is defined as the choice of the lesser evil, and the valuables of man – political and business career, prosperity, wealth, abundance of earthly possessions, access to the power over the others – are bought by the price of the evil, which the one has to commit in a fight for his share of the coveted things.

The one obtains this freedom because of Lord Jesus Christ: after the Word–God becomes the essence of the human soul–heart–mind,

1/ He gives wisdom

a/ to understand that His law is manifestation of His love to the world He created {John 3:16–17} and therefore, is the perfect good for man

b/ to discern the good and the evil and to accomplish the good

2/ He sets a human being free from the slavery of the evil and death, and empowers him to comprehend the Λογος, the Word–God, as the Unity of the Law and the Power and the Wisdom as the Wholeness that is Life and Light and Truth and Way of man: the Perfect Love of the Almighty Omnipotent God by Whom all His creations come into existence, cognize love of God, obtain freedom, and evolve into the immortal children of God.

The way into the eternity with God begins when the mind opens itself for wisdom given by God; the first steps to this wisdom are 1/ faith in Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Word–God, and 2/ observance of His commandments. With establishing in Lord Jesus Christ, when the Word–God becomes the ΣτερεωμαΣ27 of the mind, the mind is enabled to receive the Holy Spirit Who empowered it to become the living temple of God the Father, the Source of Wisdom {John 14:15–27; 15:26; 16:7–15; 17}.

Then, “wisdom” of all the wise men, especially of the “wise kings” who rely on the power of coercion, weapons, armies, and hierarchical establishments to embody their will–desires–reasons into daily life of their subjects, is seen as is: greed for the material riches and lust for the power fueled by the feeble imagination inclined to the evil and incapable

a/ to secure mental and physical health, happiness, and survival of the subjects

b/ to secure achievement of purposes

c/ to prevent collapse of the establishments, with which they intend to achieve purposes and to secure survival and expansion–development.

The actual results of this “wisdom” are illustrated by history of vanished and current civilizations, empires, and states: incessant wars, unrest, revolutions, injustice, suffering, all kinds of insufficiency [[physical moral, spiritual]], and crimes against humanity.

Furthermore, the Wisdom of God is not “wisdom” of men, which can be learned in textbooks and studied in educational, political, and religious institutions. How then, the mind of man comes to comprehension of the wisdom that leads him to God?

Wisdom” of man is in survival of the flesh, in the ability to protect human bodies assembled into families, groups, societies, etc., and in effective arrangement of human establishments (the material structures/systems) expected to defend from enemies, prevent disorder, collapse, and disintegration until they accomplish the purposes for which they have been arranged.

This “wisdom” demands use of material reserves, forces and powers (starting with the coercion power), weapons, establishments that embody the coercive power of the state/empire/other system, buildings for accommodation of prisons, educational institutions, infrastructure, media, logic and persuasion (starting with propaganda, fostering of mythical thinking, imposing ideologies produced by false and alien religions), and other things, with which

1/ the meanings of good and evil are defined and embodied into law, norms, rules, customs, criteria of evaluation, foundation of the morals and ethics, overall culture of societies and nations, etc.

2/ the leaders are presented as the wise men (or even deified holders of the supernatural wisdom and powers, which elevate them above all their subjects) knowing how to survive, how to accomplish their purposes, and how to give the greatest good and abundance and prosperity to their subjects

3/ human beings are assembled into the herd obediently following the leaders.

In return for promised security and material advantages, the subjects are expected to be in unreserved obedience, even if the leaders demand violations of the law of God and crimes against humanity, to live under total surveillance, and to assume the cost of maintenance of their rulers along with their devices, institutions, and systems, with which the rulers keep them under control and secure their obedience. The main component of the price for this “wisdom” is submission – slaveryΣ28, of which God warned the chosen nation, when they requested to be ruled by king, so they would be as other nations {1 Kings 8:4–22}, and which Aristotle envisioned as the divine order of the universe.

As the history of the past and present civilizations, empires, mighty states, and other human establishments and institutions/systems illustrates, the common end of this “wisdom” is

failure to achieve purposes → inability to survive → inevitable collapse → total ruin/eradication

To the contrary, the Wisdom of God opens the eternity for a person – an individual human being – with his Creator: the eternity with God opens for a free human being who, by his own free will and in conformity with his nature created in image of God Who is Love and with Whom cannot be fear and suffering, has chosen

a/ to seek God, because where the Spirit of God is there freedom is

b/ to live by the law of God proving therefore his love to God by observance of His commandments and by the deeds of good and mercy for the others {John; 1 Peter; 2 Peter; 1 John; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Romans, esp., Romans 8; 13:7–10}.

None of the material things enters the eternity with God, and the very meaning of this eternity with God is incomprehensible for those who live only by physical perception and values of the material thingsΣ29for those who do not perceive the presence of God {Isaiah 6:9–10; Matthew 13:14–15; John 12:37–41}.

Within the reality of daily live, the world of the material things, the first step into the immaterial realm –– the kingdom of God the Spirit –– begins with the Holy Scriptures that all are about Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God {cf. in: John 5:39–47; 1 Corinthians 10:1–4}.

When the one opens the Holy Book with a desire to obtain eternal life, he opens his heart–mind for the Word–God.

Then, on the tablet of his soul–heart–mind, the Αγια Σοφια, Λογος – Holy Wisdom of God, the Word–God – writes His letters and imprints His seal {John 6:27; Revelation 22:1–5}: the Code of the immortality…

Notes:

Σ1 In Ecclesiastes 12:11, Λογοι σοφων ως τα βουκεντρα, και ως ηλοι πεφυτευμενοι, οι παρα των συνθεματων εδοθησαν εκ ποιμενος ενος, where

Λογοι – pl. of Λογος – words, reasons

a/ βουκεντραgoad (spiked stick used to direct cattle; stimulus) is derivative of words with more than one meaning:

1/ either βουςox, bull, or βουλεadvice, counsel, purpose, will – from the primary verb βουλομαιbe willing, be disposed, be minded, and such a noteworthy derivative as βουλευτηςa counselor (later, a member of Jewish Sanhedrin)

2/ κεντρονpoint, sting; divine impulse

b/ συνθεματων – a derivative of two words:

συν a primary word denoting union; in composition, gives also meaning of completeness

θεμελο (or θεμελιωση) – to lay foundation, establish; institute; consolidate; the word is related to the cluster of derivatives from ancient θεωto run (not as sprint or race) or θεοcomplete, as the root of words defining Θεος – God; the word conveys meaning of creation–establishment

In summary, ancient word συνθεματων conveys the meaning close to contemporary συνθεσηsynthesis, connection, putting together, linking, composing, creating a wholeness/system.

c/ εδοθησανgiven, distributed, arranged; the word is a derivative of εδοθηνgive, distribute, arrange distribution (δινωδιδωεδοθην).

Therefore, Ecclesiastes/Solomon speaks of the words/reasons (intentions/plans) of the wise as of stimulus/drive/force (a goad as a tool to propel an animal), which could be applied for arrangement either a flock of bulls or an assembly of counselors; Solomon asserts that these words are for synthesis–creating a wholeness and they are given/distributed from the One Shepherd.

Σ6 Concerning the inner man: during the earthly phase of existence, a human being is a temporal life–carrying unity of spirit––flesh, or soul–heart–mind––body, or energy––matter, accommodated within the realm composed of the units of the structured matter, which are the energy derivatives created/arranged at different levels of complexity.

The essence of man –– the inner man, of whom St. Peter the Apostle and St. Paul the Apostle write: ο κρυπτος της καρδιας ανθρωπος – the hidden heart of man {in: 1 Peter 3:4}, and the inner man who is being renewed –ο εσωθεν ανακαινουται– day by day, while the outer man (body of flesh) is being decayed {in: 2 Corinthians 4:16} –– is the soul–heart–mind, which carries the image and likeness of God. St. Paul the Apostle refers to such a new [[renewed]] creation of Christ and in Christ as to the one who is enabled to act as the co–worker of God {Θεου γαρ εσμεν συνεργοι1 Corinthians 3:9}, who is the God’s field and God’s building/construction {Θεου γεωργιον, Θεου οικοδομη1 Corinthians 3:9} – the space prepared for the works of God.

God said that He sees not as the people do: He looks at the inner man – human soul–heart–mind {1 Kings 16:7;Psalm 93(94):11; 138(139):1–18}. Life of the human spirit devoted to God, which St. Peter the Apostle defines as a man of the hidden heart (the inner man) – the incorruptible quiet and meek spirit that is of great value before God, whom St. James the Apostle envisions as the firstfruit of creations of God born by the Word of Truth, and of whom St. John the Apostle and St. Paul the Apostle write as of spiritual man that carries the likeness of God from the Heavens – Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God {John 1:1–18;3:13;James 1:18–25;1 Peter 3:4;1 John 3:1–2;1 Corinthians 15:45–58}.

The Greek theologians discerned three parts/components [[subsystems]] of the human essence, or it might be said that they assumed that the soul–heart–mind operates at three levels of complexity [[that is with different derivatives of the Divine energy: wisdom, knowledge, information]]: intellect – νους, reason/intelligence – διανοια, and the reasoning, or the faculty of deliberation – γνωμαφρονημαλογισμος (see Chart 1. The Mind, in Note 48 to Selections_&_Reprints).

The highest level or “the depths of soul” or the core of “the heart” is intellect – νους, through which the mind knows God – Λογος – and receives from the Creator the spiritual knowledge – γνωσις – and wisdom – σοφια. Γνωσις and σοφια both are the gifts of God: the spiritual knowledge is silent contemplation of God and the special state. During this state, the mind accesses the divine energy of creation, which sustains the mind’s life, while wisdom empowers the reason and makes possible cognition of God’s creations.

Hence,

1/ the heart is a definition for the spiritual center, the essence of a human being, the singularity in which the union between the divine and the human is consummated, or in which the divine becomes thoughts, words, and deeds of man

2/ cognition is the state in which the divine energy of creation is transformed into the thoughts and knowledge.

Σ16 The articles of the papal faith include the pope’s proclamation: “We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty” [Great Encyclical Letters 304 qtd. in: Baybrook, 118].

Consequently, the popes consider all that belongs to God either as own possession or as placed under their jurisdiction.

For instance, according to Pius XII, “the Mystical Body of Christ and the Roman Catholic Church are one and the same thing” [in: Humani Generis. Encyclical of Pius XII concerning some false opinions threatening to undermine the foundations of catholic doctrine. 1950. http:// www. vatican. va/holy_father/ pius_xii/encyclicals/documents/ hf_p–xii_enc_12081950_humani–generis_en. html; §27].

In 1302, the pope Boniface VIII made two statements [The Bull Unam Sanctam, 1302, in: Documents of the Christian Church 127]:

1/ the papal authority is divine

2/ for the sake of eternal salvation it is necessary “for every human creature to be subject to the Roman Pontiff.”

In 1943, the pope Pius XII reiterated six hundred years old assertions with some additions:

1/ primacy of jurisdiction gives the church as “a Mystical Body two heads“

2/ Christ and His Vicar constitute one only Head – that is the solemn teaching of “Our predecessor of immortal memory Boniface VIII” in the Apostolic Letter Unam Sanctam” [[Christ as “invisible head,” and the pope – “Vicar of Christ” as “visible head”]]

3/ it is the dangerous error to believe that it is possible to accept Christ “as the Head of the Church, while not adhering loyally to His Vicar on Earth.” Taking away “the visible head” – the pope – leaves “the Mystical Body of Redeemer so obscured and so maimed” that eternal salvation can be neither seen nor found. Furthermore, the pope declares that [Mystici Corporis Christi. Encyclical of pope Pius XII On the Mystical Body of Christ. 1943. http:// www. vatican. va/ holy_father/pius_xii/ encyclicals/documents/hf_p–xii_enc_29061943_ mystici–corporis–christi_ en. html; §40–41, §53, §65, 87]

1/ it cannot be “real opposition or conflict between the invisible mission of the Holy Spirit and the juridical commission of Ruler and Teacher received from Christ”

2/ ascribing “the whole spiritual life of Christians and their progress in virtue exclusively to the action of the Divine Spirit,” without the collaboration of the pope, leads to “deplorable ruin.”

The meaning of papal assertions concerning “heads” of the church [[based on human “jurisdiction,” while the Church is the possession of God, exists by the Word–God, and is not the subject to human laws]] becomes clear if to read St. Paul the Apostle’s Epistle.

According to St. Paul the Apostle, God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, Who worked in Christ, raised Him from dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heaven, far above all principality and all authority, and power, and lordship, and every name being named, not only in this age, but also in the coming age, and He puts all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the Head over all things to the church, which is His body {Ephesians 1:17, 20–23}.

Therefore, the popes assert their right on the authority and power, which belongs only to Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God.

St. Paul the Apostle wrote also about the lawless “son of perdition” through whom “the mystery of lawlessness” works, who exalts himself over everything being called God or object of worship, so as it is for him to sit in the temple of God showing himself that he is a god: this being would serve destruction of those who under the delusion substitute the false for the truth {2 Thessalonians 2:3–12}.

The portrayal of the church as two–headed body would definitely fit the Orphic serpentine theology, and “primacy of jurisdiction” is the definition customarily applied to the worldly affairs.

However, which kind of human “jurisdiction” might define the status of God, attach man to God, or make a man into one head with God? In fact, by asserting unity of the pope (“visible head”) with Christ (“invisible head”) the pope pretends to share all authority given by God the Father to His Son, the Word–God Who is the only Head of the Christian Church.

Moreover, the one with unbiased healthy judgment can make only one inference: the pope’s assertion concerning “deplorable ruin” (in the papal writings referred above) means that the work of the Holy Spirit is insufficient, if the pope does not collaborate. Therefore, the pope not only pretends to sit along with Christ and God the Father; the papal subjects have to believe that without the pope, the Holy Spirit does not work. For the Christians, these papal assertions are blasphemy.

The papal fantasies concerning pope’s exclusive authority have the practical consequences: the papal subjects must believe that eternal salvation of men depends on obedience to the mortal man – pope. Therefore, the salvation had been separated from the acceptance of Lord Jesus Christ as the Savior and God, from fulfillment of the God’s commandments, and from the mercy of God. The popes asserted themselves as the unavoidable supplements to God, as a new law–giving authority whose laws override the law of God, as a new deity, perhaps even more authoritative than God Himself, because faith and loyalty to God are sufficient no more: the absolute submission and “loyalty” to the pope became the conditions of eternal life. With such dethronement of God, idolization of the pope is logically complete as institution of a new deity with the all “jurisdiction” and power of God.

Two examples illustrate how the papal subjects interpret the papal assertions:

1/ Catholic saint Birgitta declared: she received the “divine” revelation that if the pope is not a heretic, he has the absolute power to bind and loose souls. Even if the pope is sinful, vicious, and so wicked that after his death he would be condemned to hell, God confirms the pope’s “lawful acts on earth” [Birgitta ref. and qtd. in: Lea 3:641]. The Birgitta’s “revelation” means that sinful and vicious man has such a power that even God has no choice and, as the earthly papal subjects, has to consider the pope’s decisions as the His Own will – the will of God.

However, sinful, vicious, and wicked man is not able to act with the power of God: evil does not exist in the presence of God. Thus, the “condemned to hell” sinner is incapable of the acts consistent with the Absolute Good: the assertion is irrational from the beginning as any figment of imagination and as any assertion of delusional mind. In fact, such misconception concerning the power of man does not differ from the naïve heathen myths in which the mortals bind deities with special magical rituals, so deities have to obey the will of the mortals. The Birgitta’s assertion discloses not only the depth of separation of the papal “hierarchical church” from Christianity; it reveals the world of deceitful evil imagination that manufactures lies and deceit with the purposes to enslave and subdue human beings to the evil.

For the Christian, the assertions of Birgitta the Catholic saint are blasphemy.

2/ Cardinal Bellarmine (Jesuit) believes that the pope has the authority to change the meaning of vice and the meaning of virtue for his subjects: the pope can make the sin virtue, and virtue – the sin, yet, the Church must blindly accept the pope’s decision even if he errs: “if the pope were to err by prescribing sins and forbidding virtues, the Church would be bound to consider sins good and virtues evil” [Bellarmine ref. and qtd. in: Baybrook 277].

The range of the consequences of Ballarmine’s assertions become clear if

1/ to consider them in connection with the pope’s pretense to be the head of the church identified with the Body of Christ [Mystici Corporis Christi. Encyclical of pope Pius XII On the Mystical Body of Christ. 1943. http:// www. vatican. va/ holy_father/pius_xii/ encyclicals/documents/hf_p–xii_enc_29061943_ mystici–corporis–christi_ en. html]

2/ recall that the official doctrine of the papal church is the Aristotle–Aquinas’ political theology, while Aristotle’s logical framework is (as it also is with his teacher – Plato) the Orphism.

If to apply the Holy Scriptures’ definitions {e.g., in: Isaiah 27:1; 59:2–11; Mathew 10:34; 10:33; Revelation 20:1–2, 10}, the Orphic main deity (“absolute divine animal” portrayed in image of the serpent) is the arch–serpent, or the asp with lethal poison, the basilisk within the addled egg, which blinds and directs to the evil and misery its followers and brings death and destruction, or the dragon, “the crooked serpent” – the ancient arch–evil, which will be defeated with the Holy and Great and Mighty Sword of God, by the Word–God – King of kings and Lord of lords {Revelation 19:11–16}

3/ the terror of the inquisition was unleashed on those who rejected the papal faith or disagreed with the papal pretences on the status of deity. The Inquisition still exists within the papal office; “the Holy Office” is the alternative title since the sixteenth century; in 1965, it received the name of “The Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith.” According to Alan L. Maycock, the contemporary Inquisition with “wise and generous use of its authority” still performs its duty without any “breach of continuity” or “change in the teaching of the Church” [Maycock 263–264].

The head – or the prefect or the main authority of the inquisition was and still is the pope who pretends on the place of God.

Officially, the contemporary Inquisition is focused on control of the spiritual life of the papal subjects; for instance, in continuation of the practice initiated in 1540, it issues Index of prohibited books, which the papal subjects must not read. According to Cardinal Merry del Val, Secretary of the Supreme Holy Congregation of the Holy Office (in 1929), the Inquisition continues the censorship as “the duty and consequently the sacrosanct right to prevent error and corruption.” Simultaneously, the papal Cardinal advises that the prohibition of books must not be called a “violation of liberty” [Cardinal Merry del Val ref. qtd. in: Burman 209–212].

However, the prohibition to read a book is the most widely applied restriction of the access to the information and knowledge and simultaneously one of the main methods of social stabilization employed by totalitarian regimes of the twentieth century (Communist, Nazi, and Fascist states), cults, the clandestine groups at the service of the oppressive regimes, etc. If the deprivation of the freedom of information, while freedom of information is the basic right of any thinking human being, is not the violation of liberty, which abyss of slavery can be identified as the violation of liberty for the papal subjects?

Concerning the Inquisition and the papal Church of Rome, see References in Note 119, Doctrine of Thomas Aquinas, Political Theology, and Ecumenism.

Σ18 Wisdom is the power of reason/intelligence, with which a human being survives and evolves into the child of God. This power is given by the Holy Spirit Who comes because of the Word–God, the Holy Wisdom of God – Λογος/ΑγιαΣοφια– to the one who has faith in Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, who loves God, who accepted the knowledge of God, and who proved his love to God with observance of His commandments and with the deeds of good {John 14:14–26; 15:10–17; 17; 1 John 3; 4}.

Σ19 See Christian Civilization – in Concept of Civilization, and The Security/Welfare of the World – in Selections_&_Reprints. Part 1.

Σ20 Mortal sin means willful and deliberate words, actions, and violations of the law of God, which are intended to disparage God, inflict death on His creations, and commit atrocities and acts incompatible with the human nature. The mortal sin is defined as mortal, because it results in eternal death–separation of a sinner from God. The New Testament provides examples of mortal sin, such as unforgivable sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, betrayal of the Son of God committed by Judas Iscariot, and murder {in: Matthew 12:31–32; John 6:64, 70–71; 13:21–27; 17:12; 1 John 3:8–10, 14–15; 5:16–21}.

The notion of “priest in mortal sin” was invented by the papal Council of Trent (1545–1563), which, according to its participants, was guided “by the mind and spirit of St. Thomas” [[that is “by the mind and spirit” of Thomas Aquinas]] [Walz ref. in: New Catholic Encyclopedia 14:134].

The Council of Trent declared that the “priests who are in mortal sin” still discharge their duties “by the power of the Holy Spirit” received in ordination [Decrees of Ecumenical Councils 242, 707]. The rationale for such a conclusion obviously has the Aquinas’ assertions that “members of Christ by the actual union of charity” are free from mortal sins and “all the consecrations of the Church are immovable”: the sacramental power received by consecration remains in men as long as they live, even if they become heretics [Summa Theologica II–II Q.39 a3; III Q.8 a3 ro2].

This assertion

a/ creates the irreconcilable conflict between the definitions of

St. John the Apostle:

man who commits a sin “is of devil”

{1 John 3:4–10; 5:16–17}

and

the Council of Trent:

those who commit a mortal sin

[[or as the Apostle wrote, are “of devil”]]

can act with “the power of the Holy Spirit”

b/ prompts the question, how the papacy could justify execution of Jun Hus the priest if, according to the papal own dogma postulated by the papal Council of Trent, even if the priest becomes a heretic, he still holds the sacramental power received by consecration; does it mean that the papacy burned alive the priest who acted by the power of the Holy Spirit committing therefore the mortal sin – blasphemy against the Holy Spirit?

c/ reveals that the papacy commits the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit by postulating that man in a state of the mortal sin can discharge his duties “by the power of the Holy Spirit”; just this one assertion is enough to prove the incompatibility of the papal dogma/faith with the Christian teachings.

Σ23 Concerning the power of coercion: Thomas Aquinas [[the main papal theologian and the canonized saint of the papal Church of Rome]] defines the power of a ruler as the connection between coercion and power: the greater power applies the greater coercion. A ruler of the perfect community – state, city, etc. – possesses the “perfect coercive power.” He rules by the “political foresight,” which Aquinas compares with the providence by which God rules the world. If such a ruler inflicts death and mutilation as punishment, deprives men of life, property, and liberty for the sake of the common good or legal justice, these actions (in fact, crimes against humanity) of a ruler become the lawful and praiseworthy acts [Summa Theologica II–II Q.64 a2; Q.65 a1, a2; Q.66 a5, a8; Q.67 a4; ref. also in: Bigongiari xvi].

Coercive power was introduced into life of the Church by Augustine of Hippo, the Manichaean convert and author of Compelle Intrare – the doctrine, which laid foundation for the papal Inquisition.

See The Power of Coercion – in Selections_&_Reprints. Part 1., The Evolution of Fear reprint in Note 86, and Works of Augustine of Hippo

Σ24 The phantom of the absolute power is fed by an assumption that one human being is capable to exercise the absolute power over mind–conscience–body of other human beings transforming them into unreserved slaves and executors of the leader’s commands.

The phantom of the absolute power exists only because of deceit: propagation of the false belief that a mortal man [[who is not able to prolong own earthly life]] is able to decide or at least to influence the postmortem destiny of human soul and even to impose his will onto deities, which his subjects worship.

To the contrary, the absolute power over men and all living creatures belongs only to God the Creator: any man/leader/ruler/king/pope/priest that pretends on the power over human soul is elevating himself at the rank of deity usurping the place of God. Therefore, such a self–created “deity” coerces his dependents–subjects–followers–slaves–citizens to become idol–worshipers.

The Fulfillment

and in thee shall all the tribes of the earth be blessed…

{Genesis 12:3}

He succored His servant Israel to remember mercy,

even as He spoke to our fathers,

to Abraham and his seed forever…

{Luke 1:54–55}

Each year, the celebration of Christmas reminds us of the fulfillment of God’s promise given to the chosen man {Genesis 12:1–3} who was destined to become the father of many nations. Among all the descendants of Abraham,

one tribe was chosen to receive the Law

{Exodus 20:1-25; 31:18; 32:15-16; 34:1, 27-32; Deuteronomy 4; 5; 6; 7:6-11; 8:5-6; 28; 29; 30}

that initiated human civilizationΣ1

and to become the holy nation

one virgin of this holy nation was chosen to bring into the world the Savior:

the Son of the Most High, the Word of God, and the Master of the Eternal kingdom

{Isaiah 7:14; Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14; Micah 5:2-4; 9:2-7; Luke 1:26-38; 2:1-40; John 1; 14; 17; 1 John}.

Through the blessed Virgin Mary, the dream of mankind is fulfilled: by her Son, we are called to freedom, we are reconciled with our God – Creator and Father. We, the ones who believe, have the chance to cognize the Truth, to find the freedom and Way, to receive the Bread of life, to perceive the Light, and to obtain the Life everlasting by becoming the children of God {John 1:1-13; 6:35-69; 8:31–32, 34–36; 9:5; 10:1-18, 27-30; 11:25–26; 14; 15; 16; 17}.

During the days before the Holy Feast of Christmas, I think of the beginning – how the way to salvation began.

When Eve, the mother of all the living, delivered her first–born son, Cain, she, in her despair of condemned and exiled being punished with the great pains of labor, submitted, enslaved and “cognized” (δε εγνω) by man, said: I brought into being a man through/of God {Genesis 3:17–25; 4:1 –– εκτησαμην ανθρωπον δια του Θεου}.

Yet, Eve did not bring the man of God into the world; she brought forth the embodiment of death whose existence became the definite future at the moment when she chose to discard the words of God and to believe the lies of the crafty bruteΣ2. The first–born man, Cain, became the first murderer: he killed his brother Abel and he was cursed by the very earth, from which his father, Adam, was created. Because of the spilled blood of his slain brother, Cain was cut off the primeval connection of man and the Earth: he became unable to receive the strength, he was doomed to be groaning and trembling on the Earth, and then, he went forth from the presence of God {Genesis 4:8–16}. That is how death, perversion, and illness entered the worldΣ3.

Then, after men satisfied the desire to cognize the evil, the sins and suffering filled up their measures, and the time of mercy came: the Son of God was born to the earthly woman to expiate all evil done by mankind and to fulfill the promise of salvation {Luke 1; 2; John 3:16-21, 31-36; 1 Peter; 2 Peter; 1 John}.

Through Eve, mankind entered the way of cognition of evil that culminates in death.

Through the Blessed Virgin Mary, mankind received the Savior – the Way to the Kingdom of God, to the life everlasting.

And I think of the immeasurable mercy of God, Who in spite of all evil cognized and committed by mankind, still, fulfilled the dream of the cursed condemned to pain and suffering Eve: her descendant, the Holy Virgin Mary, has brought the Son of God to this world, the Good Shepherd, Who seeks and saves the lost onesΣ4, Who brought light, life, freedom, and salvation to those who have none {Psalm 106(107):8-14, 20; Matthew 1; Luke 1; 2; John 1:1-18; 10:30; 17; 18:17-37}…

Probably, this pattern of initial despair and then, fulfillment of the Absolute Mercy and salvation by the Perfect LoveΣ5 has to be discovered by all of us who sinned, suffered, became lost and dead, and then, found a possibility to believe, to forgive and to be forgiven, to love even we never are loved by the others, to obtain salvation, and to enter life in the eternity with our God – Creator and Father…

Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ

Who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies with Christ…

as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world

for us to be holy and without blemish before Him in love,

predetermining us to adoption through Jesus Christ to Himself,

according to the good pleasure of His will,

to the praise of the Glory of His grace, in which He favored us in the Beloved

{Ephesians 1:1–6}

Each year, the Christians celebrate Christmas – the day when the eternal Word–God, the Glory of God the Father, entered the temporal world of men as Lord Jesus Christ – the Savior, the Son of God and the human Child.

After manifestation of the Glory of God {Exodus 24:16–17; 33:18–23; 34:1–10}, the prophets, priests, and righteous men of the chosen nation began to dream of coming of God the Redeemer and fulfillment of His promises. They compared their thirst for God with the thirst for the life–saving water in the arid desert; they lived by expectations of the eternal indestructible kingdom of righteousness and truth that God promised to establish forever, even with the meek and humbled ones who observe His law and live by Him. The chosen ones came to God through revelations given to the prophets: with knowledge of His law, God guided and sustained His people who have to learn to live by every word of God and to expect the time of mercy and redemption {e.g., Psalm 129(130); Deuteronomy 8:3; Isaiah 9:2, 6–7; 40:5; 48:10-22; 51:1-23; 60:1–3; 66:22; Daniel 2:44–45; 7:13–14; Luke 4:4}.

In the day when Lord Jesus Christ was born, the promise of salvation became the actuality of mankind: the Child is born to us, and the Son is given to us; His kingdom is everlasting, and His peace shall have no end. The Word of Life became the Light of men, and the Glory of God opened for them the way into the kingdom of God: in Christmas day, the Christians celebrate also own birth into the life everlasting: they are born by the Word of Life, and this Life no one is able to take from them {Luke 1:30–55; 2:7–30; John 1:1–18; 17; 1 John 1:1–7; Romans 8:38–39; Isaiah 9:6–7}.

Isaiah the prophet foretold that the Glory of God would fill the whole complete earth (πληρηςΣ1 πασα η γη) – the temple of God, and this prophecy, as all Isaiah’s prophecies {e.g., Isaiah 6:1–7; 9:2–7; 40:3–5; 42:1–12, 16; 43:18–21; 44:6–7; 48:16–19; 53:1–12; 60:1–3; 61:1–11; 65:1–18; 66:22} became the actuality because of Lord Jesus Christ – the Word–God, the Glory of God, the Son of God:

in Lord God Jesus Christ, man has seen and has touched God

because of Lord God Jesus Christ, the sins of man are forgiven

with Lord God Jesus Christ, man received the chance to become

an immortal child of God – the keeper of peace of God,

the temple–dwelling of the Holy Spirit, co–worker, field, and a new creation of God

{John 1:1–18; 3:16; 6:37–40; 10:30; 14; 15; 16; 17;

James 1:17–18; 1 John; 1 Peter 1; 2:1–10, 25; 1 Corinthians 3:9, 16; Hebrews 3:4–6}

So, it had been done: the earth–manΣ2, the creature of flesh {Genesis 2:7; 3:20; 6:3}, was filled with the Glory of God and became the living temple of God: through Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Who is the Word and Glory of God, God created His dwelling with man {Isaiah 6:1–7; 14:1–27; John 14; 15; 17; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20}.

At that crucial point of human history – 2016 years ago, in the night of Christmas, God entered the world of men: the Creator and the Master of the universe came into humble dwelling of His creations to become the Redeemer and the Savior, the only Mediator between God and man. To those who accepted Him and believed in His name, He gave the authority to be children of God born of God, created in Christ and by Christ. He gave them His love, peace, and knowledge that is the life everlasting {Luke 1; 2; John 1:1–18; 6; 10; 13; 14; 15; 16; 17; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1; 1 John 1:1–3; 3:1–2;  1 Corinthians 15:22–23, 45–57; 2 Corinthians 5:17–19; Ephesians 2:1–22; Colossians 1:10–22; 1 Timothy 2:5–6; Hebrews 12:22–24}.

In the night of Christmas, the new era of mankind began: the inerasable border separated two phases of human history – time without Christ, and the eternity with God because Lord God Jesus Christ gave each human being the chance to live forever {John 8:51; 11:25–26; 17; Ephesians 1:3–14; 2:1–22}.

The first manifestation of the new life in Christ, as the first breath of a newborn child, is love to God: blessing, glorification, and thanksgiving to our God and Father, to Whom we come through His Son and our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ.

So, each year, the Christians

celebrate the birth of the Divine Child – Lord Jesus Christ, the Word-God,

Who is the Son of the Most High,

and Who became the Son of man

{Matthew 18:11–14; Luke 1:26–35; 2:8–20; 9:35, 56; John 6:69; 10:30; 14:9–11}

↓ ↑

adore, worship, and glorify Lord Jesus Christ – the Word–God,

Who is the love, hope, light, salvation, and freedom of men,

Who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, Who fulfilled the promise that

man–earth again would come to the completeness of perfection,

because God would make His dwelling with man

{John 6:44–69; 8:12, 31–36; 9:5; 14:1–26; 15; 16; 17}

↓ ↑

thank, bless, and glorify Almighty God the Father for His mercy and love

{Matthew 18:11–14; John 3:16–18, 35–36; 6:38–40; 1 Peter 1; 2 Peter 1:1–13; Ephesians 1; 2}

Through the miracle of Christmas, the tremendous incomprehensible power of God is revealed as the perfect Love of God the Father. By the mercy of God, His people are given perception of Christmas as happiness and joy, without fear and suffering, because Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, gave His followers His peace sustained by the Almighty power of the Creator Who bestows upon His creations the authority to become children of the Divine Fire – the sparkles of the eternal Light who are to join God the Father, the Father of lights {Luke 12:49; John 1:12–14; 3:16–21, 35–36; 6:37–40; 12:44–50; 14:1–27; 15:1–16, 26; 16:7–16, 27–28;  17; James 1:17–25; 1 John 3; 4; Ephesians 1; 2; Hebrews 12:29; Revelation 21:3–7; 22:1–5}.

When we, the Christians, celebrate Christmas – the day when God entered the world of men, we also remember those who came before the expectations of salvation were fulfilled: the prophets, messengers and servants of God who sow and labored, yet, who were not destined to reap the fruits {John 4:36–38}. Although it was unbearably difficult to live in the darkness and shadow of death, to be under the oppression of evil idolatrous rulers, to be rejected, persecuted, and murdered for the loyalty to God, for speaking of the law of God in presence of the unrighteous ones, they knew that one day the Messiah will come, virtue, justice, and righteousness will pour down from the heaven, mercy and truth will merge, the Way would be found, and the Father would welcomeΣ3 His children in His house {Psalm 84(85):10–13; Isaiah 42:16; Luke 15:11–24; John 14:1–23}.

The path of salvation, the road home – the Kingdom of God, opened in the night, when the Divine Child was born: when the Creator and Master of the Universe illuminated the darkness of men with His Light and took them from the shadow of death into the Life {Luke 1:30–33; 2:7–16; John 1:1–18; 1 John 1; Psalm 106(107)}.

Still, presently, atheism, heresies, and false religions spread and multiply daily; the ancient evil has intensified its war against those who belong to God {Genesis 3:15–16}.

Consequently, corruption, poverty, perversion, and failures in all spheres of human affairs clouded for some or even made impossible the adequate perception of the true meaning of Christmas: the world entered the phase of globalization of the evil,

–– when the prophecies of the final oppression become daily life of the many in all corners of the earth

–– when the incessant war against Christianity is raging with fury unseen before

and Christians are slaughtered, exiled, persecuted for their faith in Lord God Jesus Christ

–– when celebration of Christmas is “politically incorrect”

even in countries that have been established as Christian nations

–– when celebration of Christmas is forbidden by the enemies of Christian faith and servants of the arch–evil

who are preparing for the final battle for global dominion, so the veil of darkness would cover the entire world

–– when the traditional values, cherished before liberties, prosperity, happiness,

and memories of the glorious past have become the dust under feet of the enemies,

which already have penetrated all strata and all life–sustaining institutions of the Western civilization

taking away human dignity, blowing up human bodies,

encroaching on the ones’ freedom to live according the ones’ own faith and the ones’ own understanding of the good,

attempting to impose, with deceit, intimidation, and terrorism,

the perverted sick mentality of the slaves of the arch-evil

upon the ignorant and indifferent ones

as well as upon the ones redeemed by knowledge of Truth

–– when vice, corruption, and frenzy are taking the place of virtue, reasoning, and right judgment

–– when liars, criminals, scoffers, apostates, and hypocrites seared in their conscience

{2 Peter 3:3; Jude 12-19; 1 Timothy 4:1–2}

attempt to advance to the power, to influence judgment, and to assume authority over the people

–– when we realize that the time of departure is at hand

However, even in this difficult Present and in expectation of the coming ruin, the more darkness and evil we encounter the brighter is the light of the ancient star of Christmas, which shines in each heart that loves God and lives by God.

Hence, we should always remember that true celebration of Christmas is all about God:

God – the Almighty Omnipotent Spirit, the Consuming Fire,

Whose presence a human being was not able to see and to live,

the glimpse of Whose tremendous horrifying and incomprehensible power

the ancient people perceived

as the pillar of fire that protected them from their enemies

and as the frightening Fire, from within of which the Law was given

{Exodus  13:21–22; 14:24; 19:18; 20:18–19; Deuteronomy 4:1–14, 24, 40; 5:4;

Luke 12:49; John 4:24; 15:16; Hebrews 12:29}

God – the Ancient of days – Who rules the universe,

Whose throne the prophet perceived as the Fire and Whose power as the River of Fire

{Daniel 7:9–10}

God the Holy Spirit, the Most High,

Whose power has dawned uponΣ4 the earth – a body of Blessed Virgin Mary,

who became the Holy Mother of the Son of God

and the Temple of the Most High

{Luke 1:26–38; 2:8–14; John 4:24; 2:19-22; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Genesis 1:1-2; 2:7; 3:20-21}

God – the merciful all–forgiving and loving Father Who gave us His SonΣ5,

the Word–God, RedeemerΣ6, and Savior,

Who bestowed on those who believe in Him the authority to become the children of God

and to live forever

{Matthew 16:16–17; Luke 9:35; John 1:1–18; 3; 6:28–69; 10:1–30; 12:44–50; 14; 15; 16; 17}

In the eight century BC, Isaiah had a vision of the Holy God the Lord of hosts sitting on the high and exalted throne: the house was full of His glory. His servants were round about Him, and they said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts, the entire/complete earth is full of His glory” {Αγιος αγιος αγιος Κυριος Σαβαωθ, πληρηςΣ1 πασα η γη της δοξης Aυτου – Isaiah 6:1–3}.

Then, it was promised that the glory of the Lord shall appear and all flesh shall see the salvation of God {Isaiah 40:5}.

These revelations were as the ignited lamp within the darkness of those who lived in the shadow of death, yet who knew that everything would come to its completion and the earth would receive the Glory of God.

Ultimately, the Glory of God appeared: the Word–God, Lord Jesus Christ, claimed His Own possession, and made His dwelling with His creation – with a human being

–– purified and sustained with His Blood and Flesh –

by the Divine Energy and knowledge of God that is the everlasting life

–– resurrected by His death on the cross, when God undid the failures and sins of men

–– re–created into His image

–– illuminated by the knowledge of God

–– perfected by the love of God

–– born from above – as a child of God the Holy Spirit – for the life everlasting

{John 1:1–4, 12–13; 3:3–7; 6:32–58; 11:25–26; 14; 15; 16:7–16; 17; 1 John}

In the day when Christ was born, the promise of salvation became the actuality of mankind: the Child is born to us, and the Son is given to us; His kingdom is everlasting, and His peace shall have no end. The earthly shepherds were the first ones to receive the good tidings that the Good ShepherdΣ7 has come to claim His very own possession {Isaiah 9:6–7; Luke 1:28–35; 38, 46–55; 2:1–20; John 3:16; 10:1–30; 17}.

So, the time of mercy came {1 Peter 2:9–10}: the Son of God was born to the earthly woman to expiate all evil done by men and to fulfill the promise of salvation {Luke 2:1–14}. Through Eve, mankind received death and suffering {Genesis 3}; through Blessed Virgin Mary {Luke 1:26–55} fulfillmentΣ8 came: the people of God received the Redeemer and Savior and the Way to home – the eternal Kingdom of God {John 14:1–25; 17:2426}.

So, it had been done: the earth–man, the creature of flesh {Genesis 3:20; 6:4}, was re–created by the Divine Fire and filled with the Glory of God: because of Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Who is the Word, the Holy Wisdom, and the Glory of God, the original sinΣ9 of men is expatiated and forgiven, so they may become His Own children and enter His everlasting kingdom {Luke 2:1–14; 12:49; John 1:1–18; 3:1–21, 31–36; 4:23–24; 6:22–69; 10:1–30; 11:25–45; 12:44–50; 14; 15; 16; 17; 1 Peter 1; 2:1–12; 1 John; Ephesians; Colossians; Hebrews 12:29; Deuteronomy 4:24}.

And I think of the full or completed earthΣ1 – the dust, which was destined to be transformed into the temple of the Living God: to accommodate the Light and the Fire Who is our God {Deuteronomy 4:24; Luke 12:49; Hebrew 12:29}. Without God, there is nothing completed, beautiful, harmonious, wise, perfect. The moment when the human nature is unified with the Creator, is the moment of completion, coming of perfection and fulfillment of everything needed and wanted: the Glory of God fills the created one, the earth–dust–human being receivesΣ10 the Fire and the Light and becomes the dwelling–temple of God {Luke 12:49; John 1:1–13; 8:12; 9:5; 14; 15; 16; 17; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Deuteronomy 4:24}.

Hence, one of the most precious blessings of Christmas may be the understanding that

a/ through Christmas, the tremendous incomprehensible power of God is revealed as the Almighty Perfect Love of God the Father, so neither death nor life, nor powers, nor rulers, nor the past, nor the present, nor future, nor highs, nor depths, nor any creaturethingwhatever is on the earth and above will ever separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior, the Word-God, Who has chosen the ones, who live by Him and observe His commandmentswordslawΣ11, to be His Own ones and to live in His presence forever {John; esp., John 3:16; 14; 15; 17; 1 John 3; 4; Romans 8:31–39}

b/ by the mercy of God, His people are given perception of Christmas as the most peaceful moment of happiness and joy without fear and suffering {John 3:16, 35–36; 1 John 4:9–18; Hebrews 12:18–24}, as the moment when the earth becomes full or completedΣ1 because it meets its destiny: to accept the Divine Light and the Consuming Fire, and to become the temple of the Glory of God {Isaiah 6:1; 60:1–3; Malachi 3:1; Luke 12:49; John 14; 15; 16; 17; Hebrew 12:29; Deuteronomy 4:24}

c/ Christmas indicates the new beginning,

–– when the grace, perfection, mercy, and love – the Absolute GoodΣ12 of God is revealed to man

–– when the Glory of God takes over all created things

–– when the earth–dust–man receives the Fire and the Light and is transformed into the precious jewel, upon which the Kingdom of God arises {Luke 12:49; Deuteronomy 4:24; John 1:1–18; 8:12; 9:4–5; 14; 15; 16; 17; 1 Peter 1; 2; Ephesians 2}

And I think of the words of the Gospel According to Luke {Luke 2:13–14}, about the moment when the multitude of heavenly forcesΣ13 was revealed praising God and saying: Glory in the highest to God, and peace on earth, good will in men. While the Christians have the blessing of the inner peace given by the Lord and the good will that is the consequence of the knowledge of the Absolute Good – the Perfect Almighty Love of God, the knowledge that is the everlasting life {John 14:27; 17:3; 1 Peter 1; 2 Peter 1:1–11; 1 John}, would these words ever describe the actual daily reality of the entire world, in which human beings have to prepare themselves for the eternity? Would the peace on earth and good will in men –– when there will be no war, no murders, no suffering, no humiliation and no evil will be done to the other –– ever come?

In theory, it is possible, because God did not create death and He has no pleasure in destruction of the living. God created everything for life: the primary sources of the world are salutary, and there is no poison of destruction in them. Besides, there is no kingdom of death upon the earth: ungodly men themselves, by their words and deeds, pursue death in wavering inconsistencies/errorsΣ14 of their life; they invited death to be their companion and made the covenant with it, so, by it, they are consumed to naught {Wisdom 1:12–16; Isaiah 28:13–15}.

So, could men ever change their perception of the world and become the doers of good, so peace and good will with their inseparable companions –- virtue, prosperity, abundance of all needed for life in dignity and happiness –- would became the daily reality for all?

Let in our daily reality, which is darkened with hatred of the others to us, the Christians, and with hatred of the others to each other, the Christmas miracle happen and the blessings of Christmas illuminate the darkness of the world that has rejected its Creator and is resting in evil {1 John 5:18–21}.

Let love as the bright star of Christmas begin to shine in all hearts, so each of the living ones shall perceive the Almighty Perfect Love of God, find forgiveness and healing of the wounds inflicted by the evil – own and of the others, and then, with all and complete and clean heart, praise God for the miracle and blessings of Christmas, for peace on the earth and good will in men.

Let love and mercy of God the Father, salvation of Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, and blessings of the Holy Spirit be with all of us forever.

Glory in the highest to God!

Peace to the earth, good will to men!

Merry Christmas!

Notes:

Σ1 In Isaiah 6:3:

Αγιος αγιος αγιος Κυριος Σαβαωθ, πληρης πασα η γη της δοξης Aυτου

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts, the entire/complete earth is full of His glory

In πληρης πασα η γη, the word πληρης conveys the meaning of fullness and completion; it denotes coming to fullness, conclusion, the highest stage accessible by the subject of consideration

Σ2 Man is earth – γη  {Genesis 3:20}, upon which the Word–God has cast the Fire – the Holy Spirit {Luke 12:49; John 14:15–17, 26; Deuteronomy 4:24;  Hebrews 12:29}, and which, subsequently, became the temple of God {John 14; 15; 16; 17; 1 Corinthians 3:16}.

Σ4 In Luke 1:35:

Πνευμα Αγιον επελευσεται επι σε

The Spirit Holy will come up upon you,

και δυναμις υψιστου επισκισσει σοι:

and the power of the Most High will dawn upon you:

διο και το γεννωμενον εκ σοι Αγιον κληθησεται υιος Θεου

so then, the Holy One born of you will be called Son of God

επισκισσει is a derivative of επι– – prefix with meaning of staying upon, addition to, cause of, and σκιαζω – cover with (as with shadow), come down upon, embrace, put in shadow.

The closest of literal meanings of επισκισσει is will dawn upon.

Σ6 Redemption as the act of salvation of the world, liberation from the power of the arch–evil – undoing the disobedience and distrust of man: the original sin {Genesis 3}, and as the planting of the seed of the eternal life, was done at the cross, when the crucified Son of Man

–– fulfilled the Divine Law and accomplished the Divine Justice

by taking on Himself the sins of man

–– shed His Blood instead of the blood of man

–– placed His Soul for the soul of man

re–creating him and preparing him for resurrection into the eternity

At the moment of death, of the Son of Man, by the Son of God – the Word–God – the Almighty Omnipotent Love of God was consummated, the Word–God became the firmament, foundation, essence Στερεωμα {Genesis 1:6–8; Psalm 17(18):1–2} of human soul–heart–mind, and a new creation, who is granted the authority to become a child of God born of God, came into being {Mark 10:45; Luke 12:49; John 1:12–13; 4:23–24; 6:33–58; 7:37–39; 11:25–26; 12:23–28; 14; 15; 16; 17; 19:28–30, 33–37; James 1:18; 1 Peter; 1 John 3:5; 4:9–19; 5:1–8; Ephesians 2:1–10, 13–22; Revelation 22:1; Isaiah 51:4–7; 53:3–12}.

The one might envision the essence of redemption as the following:

the Word–God, by becoming a Son of man,

takes on Himself the nature of man

the essence of sinful man is melted by the Divine Fire of the Omnipotent Perfect and All–forgiving Love of God

the evil–insufficiency–ability to sin as the lot of man within the temporal world of man is annihilated,

and after physical death–disintegration of the bond with the “cursed” matter, a man may be resurrected into the eternity with God

a new–born creation of God – a Christian, a child of God created in likeness of the Word–God, comes to life:

the firstfruit of new creations made in likeness of the Word–God

Who placed His soul for His followers, the children of God Who is the Spirit and the Fire,

so they would live by the Holy Spirit and in the presence of God forever

This future of man was foreseen by the Old Testament Prophets and became the actuality of human existence after Lord Jesus Christ – the Word–God, the Son of God and the Son of man, committed His Soul for the salvation of man {Isaiah 59:12–21; Daniel 12:10; Malachi 3:1–3; John 10:11; 15:13; 19:28–30; 1 John 5:1–5}.

Since, a true Christian – true follower of Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Word–God, loves Him as his own soul and fulfill His commandments as his own will.

The New Year‘s Resolutions

...Hope in the Lord and do good, and dwell on the land, and thou shall be fed with the wealth of it.

Delight thyself in the Lord, and He shall grant thee the requests of thy heart.

Disclose thy way to the Lord, and hope in Him, and He shall bring it to pass…

...Cease from anger and forsake wrath: fret not thyself so as to do evil.

For evil–doer shall be destroyed,

but they that wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the land...

{Psalm 36(37):3–5, 8–9}

Beloved, do not imitate the evil, but the good.

The one doing good is of God;

but the one doing evil has not perceived God…

{3 John 11}

Whoever people are and whatever their daily live is, many have similar expectations; one of them is the hope that the Future will be betterΣ1 than the Past was and the Present is. From the depths of heart the hope arises that

somehow the problems will be resolved

the spiritual and physical hungerΣ2, injustice, suffering, crimes, diseases will become the memories of the past

disorder and insufficiency accompanying sinful heart and debilitated collapsing reasoningΣ3 will be no more

the new year will bring at least something good, appropriate, and consistent with dignity and beauty of a human being created in image of God and likeness

peace of mindΣ4 and peace on the earth will become the daily life for the many, and the inhumanity and perversion of warsΣ5 and physical coercion will forever be excluded from the means, with which people decide their problems.

Hence, some of them make New Year’s resolution(s), envision new goal(s), and thus, attempt to design the Future.

From the practical point of view, design of the Future may be seen as acceptance of purposes, achievement of which would result in the desirable conditions of life. For instance, completion of education and training would facilitate advancement toward the higher levels of social, political or other hierarchies as well as increase of personal wealth and access to other advantages. Before beginning of a designing phase, the one should determine which kind of advancement he desires, which conditions of life would be consistent with his perception of happiness, and which results he would consider as satisfactory. Thus, the desirable conditions of life would define the purposes that he needs to achieve to secure for himself a particular kind of the Future.

In general, the one’s Future is rooted in

a/ one’s knowledge of himself, his self–identification, self–comprehension, and self–judgment {John 3:20–21}

b/ one’s knowledge of the world and realities of the world, in which his desirable Future might become the actuality: the Present.

For a Christian, the desirable Future is defined not by material practical things, and the worth of the desirable Future is evaluated not by the material values. The Christian is not of this world: his world is the world of God, the eternal kingdom of God the Creator {John 14:16–17, 30; 15:18–25; 17:15–18; 18:36; 1 John 2:15–17; 5:4–5, 18–21}.

Hence, the special attitude toward God and special vision of the world distinguish Christians from other people:

a/ the Christian’s actual life is the life of the human spirit focused on God Who is the Spirit and Who seeks those who worship Him in Spirit and in Truth {John 4:23–24}; this life is the wholeness–unity of spiritual components that determine life and efficiency of human reasoning–mindΣ6 that strictly followsΣ7 the reasoning of Christ:

faithΣ8 in God

↓ ↑

love to God

↓ ↑

perception of God

↓ ↑

comprehension and observance of the commandments–words–lawΣ9 of God

↓ ↑

achievement of the complete knowledgeΣ10 of God

{John; 1 Peter 1; 2; 2 Peter 1:2–12; 1 John}

b/ the Christian thinks of things of God {Matthew 16:21–26}

c/ the Christian understands that the true essence of a human being is his soul–heart–mind, and his actual value is his readiness for the worksΣ11 and purposes of God

d/ the Christian imitates love, mercy, and perfection of God {Matthew 5:43–48; Luke 6:27–38; John 13:34–35; 15:12–17}.

Consequently, the main or ultimate purpose of the Christian also is different from the purposes for the sake of which the people of this world live. The Christian comes into and passes this world for the sake of accomplishment of the ultimateΣ12 purpose: obtaining immortality and the everlasting life in the presence of God Who is the Spirit. Therefore, true essence and the actual value of a human being is not in appearances and material values by which the social, political, and other hierarchies and establishments evaluate worth of their subjects–members–parts–slaves: the presence of God is true life and the most precious treasure of the Christian.

Consequently, for the Christian, the main New Year’s resolution should be spiritual advancement toward the ultimate purpose, ascending the road to God Who is the Spirit.

Some just started their roadΣ13 to God, some already are successful in acquiring the complete knowledge of God {2 Peter 1:1–11}, some are ready to come before God with the fruitsΣ14 of their life: either the deeds of good committed because of love to God and love to the others or the deeds of the evil committed because of hatredΣ15 to God and hatred to the creations of God.

So, the New Year’s resolutions would be different for all human beings as different are their degrees of advancement toward understanding of the law of God and readiness to accept His love and to follow Him by imitating His love and mercy to the others.

For each Christian, the New Year’s resolutions would be different as

the treasures of faith, love, and comprehension of the Absolute GoodΣ16 that the one has acquired are different

and

the giftsΣ17 of the Holy Spirit bestowed by God upon each one of His children are different {1 Corinthians 12:4–31}.

A Christian lives by the words of Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, and by the Holy Spirit sent by God the Father in the nameΣ18 of His Son, the Word–God {John 14:15–26}: the Christian’s soul is fed by the Word–God – by the knowledge of God as a body is fed by bread. The Lord said that His food is to do the will of God the Father and to finish His work: He came to accomplish the will of God the Father. Hence, His followers should do the same: to observe the commandments–words of God and therefore [[by observing the words – commandments of God and living by the law of God]] to accomplish the will of God and to prove their love to Him {in: John 4:34; 6:27–58; 8:31–36; 14; 15; 16; 17; 1 John 5:3; 2 John 6}.

Hence, the greatest treasure of the Christian is the spiritual treasure – the presence of God Who is the Spirit, and the most desirable knowledgeΣ19 is the knowledge of God. The complete instructions how to follow God, how to love God – that is how to live by accomplishing His commandments – are in the Gospels {Matthew; Mark; Luke; John}; the explication of the words of God needed for daily life of people, families, and societies are in the Epistles of the Apostles of Lord Jesus Christ {The Books of the New Testament}.

When God appeared to Saul the Pharisee {Acts 26:13–18} whom He destined to become His servant, St. Paul the Apostle, He said that He sends him to the people and nations

to open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light,

and from authority of satan to God,

to receive them forgiveness of sins and a lot among those sanctified by faith in Me

{Acts 26:16–18}

Since, the one who becomes a Christian is taken out of slavery to the arch–evil: he comes to God, he is set free by Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, he receives forgiveness of sin and the authority to become a child of God living by the Holy Spirit {John 1:12–13; 8:31–36}.

Through the Gospels {Matthew; Mark; Luke; John}, God revealed His will to all who want to know it, to accomplish it, and therefore, to live: the one should treat the others in the same way that he wants to be treated; the one should love his enemies, give those who are in need, welcome strangers and the unsheltered poor ones, feed the hungry ones, lend without expectation to be paid, bless and forgive those who wronged him, injured his pride and harmed his feelings, deprived him of the material goods, even of physical life {Matthew 5; 6; 7; 25:31–46; Luke 6:20–49; 10:27–37; 11; 12; 14:7–14; 17:1–10; 18:1–27; Isaiah 58:2–12}.

By accomplishing the actions, which are fulfillment of the will of God {1 Peter; Romans 12}, the one ascends to the highest points of the road allotted to the human soul–heart–mind on its way home – the kingdom of God:

detachment from the material valuesΣ20 and freedom from the slavery of sinΣ21

separation from the world that is the enemy of God

comprehension of the Absolute Good of God

ultimate freedom based on the limitlessness of the good within own heart–mind,

when the Absolute Good of God

becomes the absolute good for man and absolute good of man

the ability/empowerment to accomplish the commandments of God:

to imitate perfection, mercy, and love of God

The one, who lives by the commandments/words of God, is building the indestructible dwelling {Matthew 7:21–27}. The more good the one does for the others the more secure and better and wealthier the one becomes even in the countries plagued by wars, propagandaΣ22, and false religions, because he collects for himself imperishable inalienable treasure that awaits him in the house of the Creator {Matthew 6:1–21; 7:12, 21–27; Luke 6:47–49; 12:33–34}.

Hence, the main and the most important New Year’s resolution for any Christian, who has accepted the full authorityΣ23 of Lord Jesus Christ and lives by faith in Him and love to Him by observing His wordscommandmentslaw –– by Christ, in Christ, and as imitation of Christ, is simple:

the one should do more good for the others,

so, the one’s own spiritual treasure accumulated in the Kingdom of God

{Matthew 6:19–21}

would multiply making him truly rich – rich in God

and truly powerful – rich in wisdomΣ24

Moreover, even if some begin the way of the good with expectation of reward from God, along with their advancement, when the works of the good become their daily routine, the thoughts of reward, distinction, and own significance disappear, because the very process of doing the good is the process of purification of the heart, spiritual healingΣ25 and normalization that accompany forgiveness of sin promised by God to those who would turn from the evil to the good {e.g., in: Acts 26:16–18}. Therefore, the very ability of doing the good already is the greatest reward.

Then, by imitating mercy and love of God, a human being re–discovers his own true nature – the nature of being created in image of God and likeness.

Then, the works of good become natural as the act of breathing is natural…

And I think how strange the destiny of man is:

to learn the knowledge of the eternal and indestructible spirit

within the temporal world of dissipating matter

to fill own hungry spirit–soul–heart–mind through help and sharing of the material things with the others

to obtain immortality in the world of death…

Σ2 Concerning hunger:

Many centuries ago, Ecclesiastes – Solomon the king in Jerusalem, son of David, and richest and wisest ruler of those who were rulers of Israel, wrote: All the labor of man is for his mouth, yet, soul shall not be filled {Ecclesiastes 6:7}. Does it mean that Solomon knew the meaning of the empty hungry soul? How hunger entered the world of men?

It was after the beginning, when the Spirit of God moved over the water, and the darkness of unknown was over the depths. Beautiful fruitful world – celebration of life–giving creative power of God – began to exist, and the darkness of unknown became the surrounding of the shining Light. Then, the evil came, death took the place of life, and another darkness – the darkness of separation from God and from wisdom became the lot of human dust {Genesis 1; 2; 3; 4; 6}.

Eventually, men built the world of insufficiency–deprivation of good: the world without knowledge of God and without love to God, the world of hungry souls of the human beasts {Psalm 72(73); Isaiah 56:9–11; Mark 7:24–30}.

Then, after thousands of years of separation, suffering and deaths, the Creator had mercy upon His creation: the human mind regained the memory of the beginning, of the foundation of life. The mind came to the knowledge of itself similarly to as the dying of thirst and hunger vagabond enters the house of his father where he is given water and bread: he drinks and eats, and returns to life, and then, he washes away dirt of the long journey and sees his true face in mirror {James 1:22–25; 1 John 3:1–6; 2 Corinthians 3:18}.

So lengthy was the journey, so great was suffering, so long was the time of separation, yet after all, the road led home, the Door was opened and the lost ones recovered and saved and given the knowledge, with which the mind learns to discern the true essence and actual value of everything, own life included, and enters the life everlasting {Luke 15:11–32; 19:10; John 10:1–18, 27–30; 14; 15; 16; 17}.

This true essence and the foundation of everything is the presence of God: only His Spirit creates life, sustains the world, gives comfort and hope to the hopeless and desperate ones, establishes riches, devises the wholeness of life, completeness, and perfection of His creations.

However, still, in the actuality of daily life, man thinks in the terms of the matter – things, possessions, food, clothing, etc. Man lives by the matter and works for increase of the material possession – ownership of things. Everything is for the actual or assumed needs of a body: all the labor of man is for his mouth, yet, his soul is not filled {Ecclesiastes 6:7}.

And what about the soul – how to determine is the soul hungry or is it filled? What makes the human soul filled–satisfied–complete?

The source of everything in our world is the divine energy issuing from God: life is manifestation of the Divine Energy, the living creatures are embodiments of the Divine Energy; everything lives and breathes because it receives the Divine Energy from God the Creator. With the Spirit of God, a creature of dust/clay {Genesis 2:7; Isaiah 45:9; 64:8} obtains the actual life – the life of spirit {John 3:3–21, 31–36; 4:23–24; 14:15–17, 23, 26–27; 1 Corinthians 15:44–50}. The prophets wrote that God shall send forth His Spirit and they [the living creatures of the land and the sea] shall be created, and He shall renew the face of the earth: God is the Beginning and the End, God is the Source of life; He gives the abilities to perceive life and to live; He creates completely new {Genesis 1; 2; Psalm 35(36):9; 103(104):30; John 17; Revelation 1:8, 17, 18; 21:1–7}.

The human soul is fed by the Word–God; its food is accomplishment of the will of God, and its way is to follow God. And the will of God is known: to treat the others in the same way that we want to be treated, to love the enemies, to give those who are in need, to welcome strangers and unsheltered and destitute ones, to lend without expectation to be paid, to bless and forgive those who wronged us, injured our pride, deprived us of the material goods, and so on. The highest point of the road allotted to the human soul is limitlessness: imitation of the perfection and mercy of God {Matthew 5:21–48; Luke 6:27–38; John 4:31–34; 6:35, 47–51; 10:27–30; 14:6, 23; Isaiah 58:2–12}.

Hence, the human soul lives only by God, and only presence of God gives completeness, satisfies hunger–insufficiency, and leads to perfection – development of the highest human potential: possession of wisdom, firstly, as the abilities/powers to comprehend, to create, and to actualize the good.

Self–identification with a particular religion, confession of particular beliefs, public rituals of worship, acts of charity intended to boost personal/political/business image or to establish a particular reputation, all other deeds intended for public knowledge and performed for the others do not confirm that the soul of the author or performer of the referred deeds is not hungry. Something else is needed, and

a/ firstly, understanding of the meaning of the spiritual hunger

b/ then, an ability to identify the hungry soul.

The features of the hungry soul include

deprivation of good

absence of mercy and love to other creations of God

absence of wisdom, firstly, as

the inabilities to avoid evil, and to accomplish the purposes of survival, development

inability to create knowledge and things, which would sustain life and development of the others

One of the ways to satisfy own hungry soul is selfless assistance to the others provided because of mercy, compassion, and love to the others, even if this assistance serves only survival of their bodies. Any assistance offered with love, eventually, alleviates suffering of the soul of the one in need and enriches the soul of the one who assists the needy one, even if this assistance serves only survival of a body. It means that, if the one acts because of his faith and love to God, while he feeds his enemies in time of their hunger and helps the needy ones {whoever they are – Matthew 5:38–48; Romans 12:17–21} by sharing material goods, the one enriches and empowers his own soul. Although he might deprive himself of some material or other possessions and advantages, he receives from God the spiritual riches, which are the true treasure in heavens, in the next phase of his life: those, who accomplish the commandments of God, build for themselves the indestructible dwelling. Indeed, the more we do for the others the more secure and better and well we become, because we collect imperishable and inalienable treasure and learn to live by imitating the perfection, mercy, and love of God {Matthew 6:1–6, 19–21; 7:12, 24–27; Luke 6:47–49}.

Thus, people are born into the world of the material things to learn the vital significance of the immaterial values and, through handling of the earthly possessions, to acquire the knowledge of the Eternity: the one’s soul–heart–mind is filled with the good when it feeds the others and lessens the others’ suffering.

It means that we feed our own soul when we feed enemies in time of their hunger, when we help the needy ones (whoever they are) by sharing, even through depriving ourselves of some material goods and especially, by giving them the highest spiritual treasure: knowledge of God.

We live in the world of the material things to learn the vital significance of the immaterial values, and with the price of earthly possession, we acquire the knowledge of the Eternity: the soul eradicates own hunger–insufficiency, obtains completion, and advances toward perfection through the works of the good for the others, because of alleviation of hunger and insufficiency of the others.

Σ3 The debilitated collapsing reasoning is the special mode of existence preceding destruction/eradication/death. The mind enters this mode, when it becomes unable of creation of adequate knowledge – the knowledge of truth, because it is fed consumes creates false and lies – the knowledge of the evil.

The prophets envisioned the knowledge of the evil, especially the knowledge of idol–worshipers, as the lethal poison that debilitates and ultimately annihilates the reasoning/life of the mind that serves the evil.

The mind debilitated by the evil

a/ is unable to perceive the knowledge of truth

b/ is incapable of creating the adequate knowledge: it lives in imaginary worlds created by imagination – own and of the others, in the unhealthy state of non–reality sustained by the collapsing reasoning

c/ creates false knowledge, because of which all its creations (establishments, systems) are doomed to collapse → disintegration/ruin as everything that does not have adequate foundation because, for instance, it was created with the logic of death/simplification, and is not consistent with the reality of the world collapses disintegrates/is ruined.

Within all systems that tolerate existence or even foster creation of false knowledge, the mind debilitated by the evil initiates the cycle of extermination:

acceptance of false knowledge → perversion/degeneration → collapse → destruction/ruin

From the theological point of view, the one might observe that when the mind discards the law of God, rejects God, and creates for itself other gods/idols before the face of God, it loses the abilities of discerning the good and the evil: as soon as it became incapable of perception of true knowledge, it transforms itself into the likeness to the idols, which it has created {Psalm 134(135):15–18; Isaiah 44:20}. Thus, it becomes the carrier of death – own and of the others, the offspring of vipers that has no good within: it consumes and carries and propagates the lethal poison of the ancient arch–serpent, the incurable rage of asps {θυμος δρακοντων ο οινος αυτων, και θυμος ασπιδων ανιατος – Deuteronomy 32:33; Isaiah 59:1–15; Matthew 12:34–35; 15:12–14; 23:1–35; John 8:43–45; Romans 3:13}. Such mind, as well as its fruits–creations–deeds, is abomination to God.

Σ6 See The Mind

Σ7 When St. Paul the Apostle writes of the Holy Wisdom given by the Holy Spirit, of the power of God, which is the foundation of faith, {in: 1 Corinthians 2:6–16}, he mentions intelligence–reasoning–mind of those who just/exactly follow the reasoning of Christ {δε νουν Χριστου εχομεν 1 Corinthians 2:15–16}.

Traditional translation of ημεις δε νουν Χριστου εχομεν {in: 1 Corinthians 2:16}, where νουν is a derivative of νοος intelligence, reasoning, mind, and εχομεν – interpreted as “have,” is “we have/possess the mind of Christ” [R].

Christ is the Word–God; humans are not capable of having the mind of God. Besides, to ascribe to a human being attributes of God is blasphemy. Obviously, the translation is inadequate.

Indeed, the word εχομεν should not be interpreted as a derivative of εχω (to have) from primary verb σχεω – to hold; εχομεν is a shortened form of εχομενως – which conveys meanings of contiguity, following something, close connection, proximity. Strict meaning of ημεις δε νουν Χριστου εχομεν is “we just/exactly the reasoning of Christ follow.”

St. Peter the Apostle and St. Paul the Apostle write of the inner man – the essence of man: ο κρυπτος της καρδιας ανθρωποςthe hidden heart of man {in: 1 Peter 3:4}, and the inner man who is being renewed – ο εσωθεν ανακαινουται day by day, while the outer man (body of flesh) is being decayed {in: 2 Corinthians 4:16}. This inner man/human essence is the soul–heart–mind, which carries the image and likeness of God.

Then, St. Paul the Apostle refers to a new [[renewed]] creation of Christ and in Christ as to the one who is enabled to act as the co–worker of God {Θεου γαρ εσμεν συνεργοι1 Corinthians 3:9}, who is the God’s field and God’s building/construction {Θεου γεωργιον, Θεου οικοδομη1 Corinthians 3:9} – the space prepared for the works of God.

Hence the ability of exactly following the reasoning of Christ [[Who came to accomplish the will of God the Father Who sent Him – {John 3:16–17, 34–36; 4:34; 5:17–47; 6:37–40; 17}]] and the capacity to be enabled to become the co–worker of God are linked: the Christian mind is created by the Word–God and in image of the Word–God [[because of the will of God, by the will/law of God, in Christ and by Christ {Ephesians 1; 2:4–10}]] to become the servant–slave–child–priest of God – the one who accomplishes the will of God here, at the earth, and through the eternity in presence of God {John 14:1–4; 17; Revelation 21; 22}.

Σ8 According to the Christian teachings, faith is life: the life–bearing knowledge of God and the unity of the acquired knowledge with the manner of life; the just one lives by faith {Habakkuk 2:4; Luke 7:50; 1 Peter 1:9; James 2:14–26}.

St. Paul the Apostle defines faith as the substance of all expectations and the evidence of the unseen {Hebrews 11:1}; those who have faith see the unseen and eternal {2 Corinthians 4:13–18}.

Faith is the optimal state of reason; otherwise Lord God would not seek it in His creations {in: Luke 18:8; John 9:35–39; 11:25–26}. The Holy Scriptures provide the comprehensive definition of faith: all knowledge, all treasures of wisdom, all fullness of life, all power, and all authority are in Lord God Jesus Christ – He is της πιστεως Αρχηγον και Tελειωτην – the Author/Chief of faith and the One Who completes, makes perfect, consummates faith {Matthew 8:5–13; 9:20–22; 14:29–31,36; 17:20; 21:22; Mark 9:23; 11:24–26; Luke 5:20; 8:49–50; 17:6; John 3:16, 36; 14:12; 15:4–7; 1 John 2:20–21, 27; 5:12; 1 Corinthians 13:2, 9–13; 2 Corinthians 5:7; Hebrews 11:1, 32–34; 12:2; Romans 14:23}.

Through faith, the mind learns love and knowledge of God – the knowledge that is the eternal life {John 17:3}.

In other words, faith is the state of cognizance/knowing God, love to God, living by God, and unity with God. Faith gives comprehension of the essence of all events that compose life of the soul–heart–mind. The Holy Scriptures provide the simple and detail instructions for all who have faith in God. It might be also said that faith defines process of human evolution, because faith allows obtaining completeness of knowledge of the Word–God and prepares for the eternity with God {in: John 6:27–29, 44–48; 8:31–32,34–36; 14; 15; 16; 17; 2 Peter 1:1–11}.

Σ15 In John 15:25, the Lord says: Eμισησαν Με δωρεαν.

English and Russian versions of the Gospel interpret δωρεαν as “freely,” “without a cause,” “without a reason,” and “напрасно”as unfounded, in vain [R].

However, δωρεαν is a derivative of δωρ–εα – to bring cult gift/offering as sacrifice; for instance, in Dorian cults, δωρ–ις – refers to the knife for sacrifices. Δωρεα is derived from διδωμι in meaning of cult offerings.

Therefore, the Lord tells that they who hate Him do it as the offering to their deity; as it follows from John 15:7–11, this deity has been judged. Furthermore, sin/wrath of God remains upon the one who does not believe in the Word–God {John 3:36; 9:35–41; 15:7–11; Genesis 3:23–25}.

The referred above words of the Lord deepen the understanding of the difference between His follower and the one who hate Him: these words point to the connection between

apostasy of the “offspring of vipers,”

the sons of the arch–evil (the ancient serpent of Genesis): the ones who, within them, do not have place for the Word of God

{Matthew 3:7–12; 15:1–20; 23:1–35; Mark 7:5–13; Luke 7:29–35; 16:13–17; John 8:37–47; Genesis 3:1–6, 14–16}

and

their hatred of the Word–God –––

this hatred is their offering to their deity (arch–evil), for the sake of which they wish to murder True God

{John 8:37–47}

In Revelation 22:17, the same word δωρεαν accompanies the reference to the act of taking the Water of Life that is acceptance–receiving of the Holy Spirit, which [acceptance–receiving] is possible only for the one who believes in Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, and worships God in Spirit and Truth: in the Holy Spirit Who comes in the Name of the Word–God, and in Lord Jesus Christ Who is the Truth {cf. in: John 1:1–18; 4:10–14, 23–24; 7:37–39; 10:30; 14:6–17, 26; 15:26; 16:7–15; 17}.

Thus, δωρεαν refers to the religious practices, and should be interpreted adequately.

Σ22 The broad term propaganda refers to intentionally created false knowledge, which is intended to purposefully manipulate thinking and behavior of a particular group, society, nation, state. As everything founded upon false knowledge/lies or using false knowledge/lies, propaganda has the primary source: the arch–evil {John 8:44}.

In fact, propaganda is the most sophisticated weapon of destruction, because it transforms a human being into the slave

a/ incapable of perception of truth

b/ unable to differentiate the good and the evil

c/ managed by the creators/users of propaganda.

The art of propaganda was the daily reality of the Aristotelian Polis; Aristotle had a special term for ancient propagandists: opinion–makers. With time, in the carousel of changing societies, states, empires, civilizations, this art of death was used to divide the population into enemies who fight and exterminate each other for purposes of the political–religious–social–other group, person, or adversarial state that initiates unrest within the targeted system (state, nation, empire) for the sake of open takeover or covert assimilation. Propaganda played the decisive role in destruction of many nations and societies.

Adolf Hitler determined the primary tasks of propaganda as manipulation by the masses: re–programming and fashioning of the mass conscience and enforcement of the specific patterns of thinking, acting, and social behavior. He also intended to substitute propaganda for religion, morals, and traditions, and then, by the means of propaganda

1/ to elevate ignorance and superstition to the rank of knowledge

2/ to intentionally evoke fear, hatred, cruelty, envy, greed, and desire to kill, which would transform the mob into the weapon of destruction ready to be applied against the people/groups targeted for extermination

3/ to focus hatred, cruelty, and desire to kill on the chosen groups or establishments, which might be a threat to his aspirations or would hinder his way to the absolute world power.

Unleashed propaganda indicates the latent processes of disintegration of political–social–religious system (state, nation, empire), which would culminate in unrest, revolutions, and wars. The most oppressive totalitarian regimes came to the power through propaganda, which destroyed the states and societies that previously sustained at least some law and order, liberties, and human rights.

The distinctive features of propaganda include

1/ manipulation of the meanings of the good and the evil, vice and virtue, norm and perversion

2/ imposing of mythical thinking followed with inabilities to perceive the actuality, to create and to comprehend the adequate knowledge, and to identify the actual threats; this state of the mythicalcollapsing reasoning is promoted with establishment of perversion as norm, myths and fantasies as reality, lies as truth, and with slogans of common good, human liberties, justification of atheism, perversion, and abnormalities (e.g., such as Orphic–Marxist ideas of liberty–brotherhood–equality, which, as the history illustrates, demanded sacrifice, slavery, and extermination of some for the prosperity of the others)

3/ denigration, besmearing, and humiliation of the targeted for extermination people, group, nation, state.

For instance,

A/ Bolshevist propaganda referred to the aristocrats, priests, landowners, entrepreneurs as to the corrupted thieves, robbers, and bloodsuckers who live by plundering and defrauding, whose actions resulted in defrauding, misery, and poverty of the exploited masses – that was the “moral” justification of the expropriation of property and mass executions of the religious, noble, business, and educated people after 1917 Bolshevist revolution in Russia. Some authors [e.g., Brzezinski (1989) 239–240] estimate that the illusionary world of the communist ideology has consumed from 50 million and up to unknown multitudes in Russia and other communist countries of the Eastern Europe.

B/ Adolf Hitler’s references to “parasitism” of Jewish nation, which “eats into” the people, ruined the Russian Empire, and pollute the great German nation of supermen, preceded the sterilization and breeding laws, confiscation of the property of wealthy Jews sent into concentration camps, and then, “ultimate decision” that also was applied for extermination of the mentally sick, political opponents, racial minorities, and other people whom the German supermen labeled as “the inferior” ones. In Adolf Hitler’s vision of “new world order” headed by the German super–race, there was no place for the different and different–minded ones: the Nazis associated the extermination of the Jews and “inferior nations” with their “Crusade” for preservation of the purity of German race and elevated extermination of human beings at the rank of civil virtues. The Nazi modification of the meaning of the good and the civil virtues and the consequent perversion of the nature of those Germans who made Nazism the actuality cost lives of 14 millions of “racial inferiors” and 54.8 millions (estimated) men, women, children of 57 nations – victims of World War II [in: Trager 893, 894].

In both establishments [[Russian Empire before 1917, and Nazi Germany of 1930s]], propaganda culminated in mass extermination of countless multitudes of human beings during 1917 revolution and Stalin regime in Russia and World War II of 1939–1945. Two historical facts – the destruction of the Russian Empire (1917) and the rise and destruction of Nazi Germany (1930s–1945) – confirm that propaganda is the deadliest weapon of destruction and, when undetected or disregarded by existing government, the most effective weapon of the national/state self–annihilation. This double–sided weapon works especially effectively through the groups that struggle for the power within the unstable or already collapsing societies with economical, social, and political problems.

Propaganda might be successful, if three groups of conditions exist:

1/ moral degradation, ignorance, illiteracy, and superstitions/false beliefs that make truth and adequate perception→evaluation of the existing reality undesirable or non–acceptable, therefore, facilitate re–programming of conscience; these conditions prepare the ground on which propaganda might be planted and used according to its full destructive potential

2/ economical, political, social, racial, or religious conflicts, which result in social and political instability and the consequent acceptance of the force of coercion as the only effective means for social, economical, and political conciliation; these conditions divide the society into three groups, which would provide the players for the roles of

victims

executioners

the privileged minority–elite that would devise, organize, and control propaganda and use the results obtained with propaganda

3/ a person, group, or establishment capable to transform the existing state and social structures into the system for achievement of own purposes, which usually include access to the power of coercion, enrichment, self–deification, etc.

All these conditions describe the current political–social reality; furthermore, the current and easily identifiable results of the contemporary propaganda machine include

political correctness, which has grown into the open war against American values, denigration of American history, dissemination of perversion, corruption, and lawlessness accompanied with war against Christianity and human nature

current political division of the nation

[[e.g., on

1/ “deplorables” who want American interests to be protected and the US return to its roots, upon which, in the past, the US became and during some time was the most powerful and free nation on the earth

2/ “patriots” who support the corrupted and rotten through the core “democratic” political establishment that serves foreign interests and promotes globalism accompanied with

destruction of the state

elimination of the national borders and unhindered penetration of the enemies and terrorists (similarly to EU)

overall chaos of disintegration

all these masqueraded with slogans of liberty and prosperity and democracy, which cover impoverishment and advancement stage of political, social, and economical collapse and disintegration]]

war against cops, lawlessness and perversion, which took the place of law, norm, and order

social unrest initiated by so–called “democratic” .org movements funded by “charitable” institutions, which sustain dissemination of corruption and attempt to secure advancement of islamization and further assimilation of the US by globalists (which include terrorism–funding governments)

weakness and inability to protect own life–supporting and political institutions from cyber hacking, and so on.

The referred above calamities are just the initial results achieved with the propaganda machine.
