The Complete Knowledge

Αυτη δε εστιν η αιωνιος ζωη, ινα γινωσκωσι Σε τον Μονον Αληθινον Θεον,

και ον απεστειλας Ιησουν Χριστον

And this is the everlasting life that they may know You, the only One True God,

and Jesus Christ Whom You have sent

{John 17:3}

Χαρις υμιν και ειρηνη πληθυνθειν εν επιγνωσει του Θεου, και Ιησου του Κυριου ημων.

…Grace to you and peace be multiplied by a full knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

Ως παντα ημιν της θειας δυναμεως Αυτου τα προς ζωην και ευσεβειαν δεδωρημενης,

δια της επιγνωσεως του καλεοαντος ημας δια δοξης και αρετης...

As His divine power has bestowed upon us

all pertaining to life and godliness through the complete knowledge

of the One calling us via glory and virtue

{2 Peter 1:2–3}

Knowledge of the only One True God and Jesus Christ Whom He sent is the everlasting life {John 17:3}.

So, St. Peter the Apostle begins his Epistle to the precious ones, who obtained faith*1* in righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, with expressing a wish: let grace and peace be multiplied to us through the complete cognition/knowing of God and of Jesus our Lord. Through the complete cognition of God and the Word–God Whom He sent {John 17:3}, the Divine Power bestows upon us all that is life and godliness. Furthermore, the Word–God is calling us by His glory and virtue/excellence {2 Peter 1:1–3; Isaiah 42:6–7}.

The Apostle employs words επιγνωσει, and επιγνωσεως, which are translated in English as knowledge[*] and as a full knowledge[**], and in Russian as познание[***]  – cognition. However, the literal translation of επιγνωσει επιγνωσεως should be ‘the state of accomplishing the complete cognition’*2* [[for instance, possession of the mental power to achieve the purposes – this power is called the state of knowing]].

Then, by επιγνωσει [[the process culminating in the complete cognition]], the grace and peace are multiplied, and through επιγνωσεως  [[abiding in the state of complete cognition]], the Divine Power of God bestows the all pertaining to life and godliness; by the glory and virtue/excellence of God, the people are called to God.

Thus, the one who has επιγνωσεως is empowered to perceive the glory and virtue/excellence [[αρετης*3*]] of God; it means that the first sign of the mind that has επιγνωσεως is the right discernment*4*. Eventually, the one may be empowered to know the only One True God {τον μονον αληθινον Θεον*5*John 17:3} – to obtain the knowledge that is the eternal life: life in God and by God promised by Lord Jesus Christ {John 17:2–8, 14–26}.

The complete knowledge of the only One True God and Jesus Christ – the Word–God, our Lord God and Savior, might be envisioned as the consummated knowledge [[the power that has been actualized––put into the action/practice––embodied into the daily life]] of the Absolute Good*6*, which has been materialized into the words and deeds {as in: John 14:15–24}. This consummated knowledge

uproots and annihilates false knowledge

transforms the mind into the dwelling–temple of the Living God

and into the carrier of the Light of God

Life of the mind that consummates the knowledge of the Absolute Good of God might be described as ημεις δε νουν Χριστου εχομεν {1 Corinthians 2:16} – the just/exact following the reasoning of Christ*7*. The one who has such a mind is a creation in Christ and by Christ {John 1:1–17; Ephesians 2:4–10} – the one who

has found the Door*8*  into the eternity

{John 10:1–18, 27–30}

has evolved into the child of God baptized by the Divine Fire*9*

and became the dwelling place/temple of God the Spirit

{John 1:1–18, 32–34; 4:23–24; 14:23; Luke 3:16; 12:49; 1 Corinthians 3:16}

is empowered to act as the co–worker of God

{Θεου γαρ εσμεν συνεργοι 1 Corinthians 3:9}

became the field [[Θεου γεωργιον]] the space [[world–κοσμοσ]]*10* for the works of God,

and the building–construction [[Θεου οικοδομη]] that God creates for His purposes

upon Στερεωμα*11* – the Living Cornerstone, Lord Jesus Christ

{John 4:23–24; 14; 15; 16; 17; James 1:17–18; 1 Peter 1:23–25; 2:3–6;

1 Corinthians 3:9, 16–17; 6:19–20; 2 Corinthians 6:16–18; Ephesians 2:19–22}

And I think, how the one should envision and define επιγνωσεως – the complete knowledge of God, if it has been told that God is uncognizable, and the human mind is not able to comprehend the grandeur of His thoughts, His ways, and His deeds {Exodus 33:20; Job 36:26–32; 37:1–24; 42:1–6; Psalm 146(147):1–5; Isaiah 40:12–31; Romans 11:33–36}?

When Moses asked God to reveal Himself and to manifest Himself, God told that man cannot see His Face and live {Exodus 33:12–23}. Yet, since the initiation of human civilization, when Moses was enabled to perceive God, to accept His law, and to convey the commandments of God to his tribesmen, knowledge of God continues to be the most desirable and precious treasure*12*.

Then, centuries later, Hosea the prophet cried “let us pursue comprehension of the Lord,” because God wants that men have knowledge of Him more than sacrifices {Hosea 6:4–7}, which they bring to His altar. The prophet also named the reason of calamity of the chosen people*13*: they have rejected knowledge of God and forgot their Creator; so, God rejected them (they shall not minister as priest to God) and promised to forget their children {Hosea 4:6}.

The commandment to imitate mercy and perfection of God given by Lord God Jesus Christ {Matthew 5:48; 9:13; Luke 6:36} implies also that the mind should have knowledge of the ultimate purpose [[what does it mean to become merciful and perfect as God is merciful and perfect–?]], which it needs to achieve. Then, to love each other as God loves {John 13:34–35} means to know how God loves {cf.: 1 John 4:16}.

Therefore, man is entitled to some knowledge of God {cf.: Deuteronomy 4:29; Luke 10:22; John 1:18; 14:6–7; Acts 17:24–29; Isaiah 40:21–30; 45:18–26; Micah 6:8}, and this knowledge of God is not only the desire/privilege of the chosen ones:

search for knowledge of God is the duty and appropriate manner of life of all human beings

{Psalm 118(119); Proverbs 2:3–12; Acts 17:26–28}

knowledge of God is the greatest reward for righteousness–purity of the heart*14*

and for accomplishment of the commandments of God

{cf.: Matthew 5:7; Luke 10:21–22}

cognition of God and, consequently, adherence to His law and accomplishment of His will

are the purposes of earthly existence of all human beings

{cf.: Matthew 26:36–42, 44; Mark 14:32–39; Luke 22:40–44; John 4:31–38}

Then, obtaining of (or failure to obtain) knowledge of God determines the ability to accomplish the will of God {e.g., Matthew 24:45–51; 25:1–46} and therefore, decides the eternal destiny: either immortality with God or eternal death as separation from God {Revelation 20:11–15; 21:3–4, 7–8; 22:3–5}.

Moreover, the human mind is thirsty for knowledge of God much more that human flesh is thirsty for water in a barren trackless dry land {Psalm 62(63):1}*15*, and it cannot be otherwise, because the truth is that man cannot live without God:

a/ a human being is created in image and likeness of God {Genesis 1:26–27; 9:6}: he looks into the words of God as into the mirror to comprehend the law by which he lives – the perfect law of freedom {James 1:22–25}; with the knowledge of God, he seeks understanding {Isaiah 26:7–13} of own nature, own place within the world, own purposes, and own future*16*

b/ human soul is the breath of God {Genesis 2:7}: without God, there is no life befitting a human being

c/ human soul–heart–mind lives by the Holy Spirit {Psalm 103(104):30; John 4:24; Acts 17:24–28}, and a human body lives by the energy that comes from God and sustains existence of the world {the living creatures accumulate the divine life–giving energy and transform it into the fruits of the earth, from which man obtains bread, other food, and supplies needed for physical survival –– e.g., Psalm 103(104); Luke 11:11–13}*17*.

In summary,

1/ a human being is a particular manifestation of the divine creative energy issuing from God – an image of His Own special grace {Wisdom 2:23}:

at some time–space–complexity point of the temporal framework (the earth),

 the breath of God ignites a special kind of life created in image and after likeness of God

{Genesis 2:7; Isaiah 42:5}

this life exists within the flow of the divine creative energy

{Psalm 103(104):24–32; 147:12–20; 148:1–14; 150:6}

this life evolves according to the divine plan

{Matthew 5:17–19; John 14:1–6; 17:6–8, 17–26; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:3–9, 17–25;

2 Corinthians 5:1–5; Ephesians 1:3–23}

this life, by the Divine Fire – the Holy Spirit – Our God,

is transformed for the next phase of existence:

the eternity, where time and other limitations of the temporal matter do not exist

{Deuteronomy 4:24; Luke 12:49; John 1:1–4, 12–13, 32–34; 3:3–7; 4:24; 8:51; 2 Peter 3:8;

Hebrews 12:29; 1 Corinthians 3:11–16; 15:51–58; Philippians 3:20–21;

Revelation 21:1–5; 22:1–5}

2/ knowledge of God empowers existence and development of the human life ignited by the breath of God

to cognize the good and the evil

to evolve into the manifestation of the Absolute Good:

a human child of God, the certain firstfruit of the creations brought forth by the Word of Truth

{James 1:18}.

3/ by the very nature and during the entire life, the normal mind is tuned into the search of God and is learning knowledge of God, because knowledge of God is

a/ the part of a normal human nature

b/ complete knowledge of life at the earth

c/ the preparation for  the eternity with God

What then, is the knowledge of God and how the mind obtains the state of complete knowledge of God?

The one could find the answer in the words of Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ:

For God so loved the world that He gave His only–begotten Son, that everyone believing in Him should not perish but have everlasting life

{John 3:16}

Thus, because of God’s love to His creation and by the will of God, the Son, the Word–God, became the Food empowering the life everlasting {John 6:27} – the spiritual Bread and the spiritual Drink of the one who is destined for the eternity with God, who, through faith and with love, accepts Him as the only Truth, the only Light, the only Way, and the only Life  {John 1:1–18; 3:16–21, 31–36; 4:24, 34; 5:21–30; 6:27–68; 14; 17}.

So, when St. John the Apostle writes {1 John 4:7–21} that God is Love, that the one who loves has been born of God and knows God {γινωσκει τον Θεον – 1 John 4:7}, and that the one dwelling in love dwells in God, he provides the key for understanding of επιγνωσεως – the complete knowledge of God.

Επιγνωσεως  or the complete knowledge of God is

love to God

sanctification in Truth

{the Word–God is the Truth – John 14:6; 17:17}

perfection into the one in whom the Word–God, Who is the One with the Father, is

the state of having within – living by and abiding in –

the love, by which God the Father loves His Son,

and

the Son, the WordGod, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

{John 10:30; 14:18–21, 23; 17}.

Hence, επιγνωσεως  is

the state of mind that has within the Word–God

because of Whom the Holy Spirit comes, teaches, illuminates, guides

because of Whom the love of God the Father embraces His creation in Christ

that lives by Christ – by His Son, the Word–God

Hence, the one could define επιγνωσεως – the complete consummated knowledge of God, as accomplishment of the first greatest commandment {you shall love the Lord your God with all your soul, and with all your heart, and with all your mind, and with all your understanding, and with all you strength – Matthew 22:37–38; Mark 12:29–30; Luke 10:27; Deuteronomy 6:4–5}, when the one embodies his knowledge of the Absolute Good of God – love, mercy, and perfection – into own thoughts, words and deeds, through which the Absolute Good of God becomes the absolute good of man*6*

Notes:

*1* St. Paul the Apostle defines faith as the substance of all expectations and the evidence of the unseen {Hebrews 11:1}; those who have faith see the unseen and eternal {2 Corinthians 4:13–18}.

Faith is the optimal state of reason; otherwise Lord God would not seek it in His creations {in: Luke 18:8; John 9:35–39; 11:25–26}. The Holy Scriptures provide the comprehensive definition of faith: all knowledge, all treasures of wisdom, all fullness of life, all power, and all authority are in Lord God Jesus Christ – He is  της πιστεως Αρχηγον και Tελειωτην – the Author/Chief of faith and the One Who completes, makes perfect, consummates faith {Matthew 8:5–13; 9:20–22; 14:29–31,36; 17:20; 21:22; Mark 9:23; 11:24–26; Luke 5:20; 8:49–50; 17:6; John 3:16, 36; 14:12; 15:4–7;  1 John 2:20–21, 27; 5:12; 1 Corinthians 13:2, 9–13; 2 Corinthians 5:7; Hebrews 11:1, 32–34; 12:2; Romans 14:23}.

Through faith, the mind learns knowledge of God – the knowledge that is the eternal life {John 17:3}.

According to the Christian teachings, faith is life: the life–bearing knowledge of God and the unity of the acquired knowledge with the manner of life; the just one lives by faith {Habakkuk 2:4; Luke 7:50; 1 Peter 1:9; James 2:14–26}.

In other words, faith is the state of cognizance/knowing God, love to God, living by God, and unity with God. Faith gives comprehension of the essence of all events that compose life of the soul–heart–mind. The Holy Scriptures provide the simple and detail instructions for all who have faith in God. It might be also said that faith defines process of human evolution, because faith allows obtaining completeness of knowledge of the Word–God and prepares for the eternity with God {in: John 6:27–29, 44–48; 8:31–32,34–36; 14; 15; 16; 17; 2 Peter 1:1–11}.

*2* In  επι–γνωσει,

επι– is a particle that conveys meanings of superimposition, staying upon something, moving toward something, abundance, consequence, and causality

γνωσει – the derivative of γνωσεως from γιγνωσκω, which originates cluster of words with meaning of perceiving, discerning, understanding, comprehension, cognition, knowing [[including γινωσκωσι in John 17:3, that is a derivative of Ionian/Dorian form of γιγνωσκω]].

Therefore, the synergy of επι and γνωσεως γιγνωσκω creates the meaning of complete–abundant–carrying consequences cognition: the state of empowering to act according to the will of God. In the context of St. Paul the Apostle text {2 Peter 1:2–3}, such consequences are the act of the Divine Power bestowing upon the one, who is in the state of complete cognition, all of life and godliness – that is firstly, the power to think, speak, act the Truth and to accomplish the words of Truth making them the essence–fabric of own

a/ thinking

           ↓

b/ actions

           ↓

c/ the entire life

*5* In the phrase τον μονον αληθινον Θεον {John 17:3}, the word μονον, usually, is translated as “only”; thus, the entire logic block is interpreted as “the only true God.”

However, μονον is also a derivative of two roots:

1/ μονο–  one, alone, and no–one else, only

2/ εν/εις primary word for numeral one, only.

Therefore, the complete meaning of τον μονον αληθινον Θεον  is “the only One True God.”

Such translation is confirmed by the words of Lord God Jesus Christ: Εγω και ο Πατηρ εν εσμεν  – I and the Father One are {in: John 10:30; 14:6–10; 17:21, 23–26}

St. John the Apostle writes {1 John 5:7}

ο Πατηρ, ο Λογος, και το Αγιον Πνευμα: και ουτοι οι τρεις Εν εισι

the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and These Three One is

Therefore, translation of τον μονον αληθινον Θεον {John 17:3} as “the only One True God” conveys the essence of the monotheistic theology – the Christianity that is the ultimate knowledge of God the Father given and explained by Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, Whom He has sent for salvation of the world {John 1:1–18; 3:16–18; 6:39–40; 10:17–18, 30; 12:44–50; 14:6–11; 17}.

*7* Traditional translation of ημεις δε νουν Χριστου εχομεν {in: 1 Corinthians 2:16}, where νουν is a derivative of νοος – intelligence, reasoning, mind, and εχομεν – interpreted as “have,” is “we have/possess the mind of Christ”[*], [**],[***].

However, Christ is the Word–God; humans are not capable of having the mind of God. Besides, to ascribe to a human being attributes of God is blasphemy.  Obviously, the translation is inadequate. Indeed, the word εχομεν should not be interpreted as a derivative of εχω from primary word σχεω  – to hold; εχομεν is a shortened form of εχομενως, which conveys meanings of contiguity, following something, close connection, proximity. The strict meaning of ημεις δε νουν Χριστου εχομεν is “we just/exactly the reasoning of Christ follow.”

*11* Στερεωμα of the human mind is the Word–God – the knowledge of God: His Law, His will, His commandments, His mercy, His Perfection and His Love – the Absolute Good, that is the everlasting life {John 17:3, 6} – this knowledge makes possible life by the Holy Spirit, because this knowledge became the inner foundation and structure of the new creation of God in Christ and by Christ destined from the beginning of times for the eternity with God:

the Word–God is the framework, within which a human reasoning is ignited,

the Word–God is the foundation, on which a human child of God evolves

{John 1:1–5, 9–13; 15:1–6}

the Word–God is the example of completion–perfection

that declares and explains God the Father

and gives the knowledge that is the eternal life

{John 1:18; 10:30; 13:15; 17:1–26; 1 John 1:1–2; 3:1–7}

the Word–God is the Beginning and the End, the Alfa and the Omega

{Revelation 21:5–6; John 19:30; 4:13–14; 7:37–39}:

the everything of man who is ascending to God.

The Word–God creates the foundation – στερεωμα {as the firmament of the new world – Genesis 1:6; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:23–25; Ephesians 2:10} within the human essence and gives the knowledge of God that is the everlasting life: on the στερεωμα, by the Holy Spirit, the immortal child of God is created–built–established with knowledge of God, by the Power of God, and with the Energy issuing from God {in: Psalm 103(104):30Εξαποστελεις το Πνευμα Σου και κτισθησονται – Thou shall send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created( established/made); Psalm 17(18):1–2: Αγαπησω Σε, Κυριε ισχυς μου. Κυριος στερεωμα μου I love Thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my firmament; John 1:1–4, 12–13; 3:5–6; 7:37–39; 16:13–15; Ephesians 2:1–22}.

When the one accepts the Word–God, the knowledge that He gives – the knowledge of God (knowledge of the law of God, His will, His commandments, His mercy, His Perfection and His Love – the Absolute Good), becomes the Firmament {Κυριος Στερεωμα μου – The Lord is my Firmament – Psalm 17(18):2} – the foundation of the one’s intelligence/reasoning and the framework–space, in which a human being

evolves into the dwelling of God

is enabled to accept the Holy Spirit of God – the Divine Fire

Who ignites the eternal life within the creature of dust

is prepared for the eternity in the presence of God.

By Christ and in Christ – by the Word–God and in the Word–God – an immortal human child of God comes into being and will be resurrected/transformed for the eternity with God {John 1:12–13; 3:16–17; 11:25–26; 17; 1 Peter 1; 1 John 3:1–3; Ephesians 2; 1 Corinthians 15; Galatians 3:26–29; 4:6–7; Colossians 1; 2; 3}.

The eternal life in the realm/kingdom of God Who is the Spirit {John 4:24} is possible only if the Word–God becomes the στερεωμα, within which, by the power of God and because of the will of God, a human being is transformed/re–created into the immortal child of God: the certain firstfruit of creations made in likeness of the Word–God – the Word of Truth {James 1:18; 1 John 3:1–2; Romans 8:28–30; Colossians 1:9–22; 3:10–11}, the one who lives by the Holy Spirit and who is enabled to withstand the eternity in the presence of God the Spirit {while the Old Testament’s human being is not able to see God and live – Exodus 33:18–20}.

 Therefore, when the Old Testament’s texts tell that God is the prophet’s στερεωμα {Αγαπησω Σε, Κυριε ισχυς μου. Κυριος στερεωμα μου, και καταφυγη μου, και Ρυστης μου – I love Thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my firmament, and my refuge, and my Deliverer – Psalm 17(18):1–2} and the human heart is firmly established (εστερεωθη) in the Lord {1 Kings 2:1}, they convey knowledge revealed by the Holy Spirit {John 5:39; 2 Peter 1:19–21}:  man shall live by God, because of God, and in God {John 5:39–47; 6:45–58; 10:11–18, 27–30; 17:21–26}.

Concerning στερεωμα, or the firmament, see

– Psalm 17(18):1–2: Αγαπησω Σε, Κυριε ισχυς μου. Κυριος Στερεωμα μου, και καταφυγη μου, και Ρυστης μου {I love Thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my Firmament, and my refuge, and my Deliverer – Psalm 17(18):1–2}

The Gift of Completion

how much more the Father of Heaven will give the Holy Spirit to those asking Him

{Luke 11:13}

The disciples of Lord God Jesus Christ asked Him to teach them to pray. In response, the Lord gave the prayer*e1* identifying the one who seeks the kingdom of God – Our Father {Matthew 6:6–15; Luke 11:1–4}. Then He said {Luke 11:5–13} that those who pray should be persistent: to ask and it will be given to them, to seek, and they will find, to knock, and it will be opened to them. For everyone asking receives, the seeking finds, and to the knocking, it will be opened. For what man who is a father, if his son asks for bread, will he give him a stone? And if asks for fish, will he give him a snake? And if he should ask for egg, will he give him a scorpion? Then, if men being evil know to give good gifts to their children, how much more the Father of Heaven will give the Holy Spirit to those asking Him?

The referred above words of Lord God Jesus Christ delineate the reality of the good within the world of the evil – life: all things, which the Lord mentions when He speaks of needs of a son, sustain life of a human being (body and mind). If a son receives stone instead of bread, he starves to death; snake and scorpion carry the lethal poison, which debilitates the mind and body, and then, kills.  Therefore, a son asks his father for things, which he needs to live.

Then, the Word–God re–directs the mind of the listeners to the world that is beyond the good of the material things and beyond life of a body: the Heaven – another world, the reality inaccessible for the perception focused on the material things. This world is the kingdom whose Lord is the Father of Heaven – God the Spirit Who seeks those who worship Him in spirit and truth, and Who gives the Holy Spirit to those asking Him {John 4:23–24; Luke 11:13}.

The worship of God in spirit and truth is possible only if a human being becomes the living temple of the Living God, if God dwells in the soul–heart–mind of man:

to worship God the Spirit in spirit means to know God and to love God –

to love God unconditionally and without limits:

to comprehend that God is holy and that God is sanctification of man,

to realize that God is the Source of life, and wisdom, and power, and all the good of man,

to acknowledge with the deep reverence the perfection and excellence and absolute good of God,

to recognize with thanksgiving the perfect justice and righteousness and mercy and good of the will of God,

to acknowledge the holiness and the absolute power of God, and to glorify God,

to be focused on God

in such a manner that the entire essence of a human being – soul, heart, and mind – are devoted to God

with all understanding, abilities of reasoning, and powers of man

{e.g., Genesis 6:12–14; 18:1–33; Exodus 3:2–6; 19:5–6; 20:1–26; 33:19–20; 34:5–14;  Deuteronomy 4:1–40; 6:3–7; 30:1–20;

to worship God in truth means

to worship Him through the Word–God – Lord Jesus Christ –

Who is the only Truth that leads to God the Father

{John 1:1–18; 6:44–47; 10:30; 12:44–50; 14:6–7, 23; 17:1–26}.

The knowledge of God the Father and Jesus Christ sent by God is the everlasting life {John 17:3}: those who worship God in spirit and truth enter the life everlasting.

 The inference from the words of God is obvious and simple: the good material things (food), which a father gives to his son, sustain life of a human being in the earth, yet the Absolute Good of man is the gift of the Holy Spirit Who gives everlasting life in the kingdom of God.

What does it mean to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit?

Within the context of the referred above Gospel According to Luke, it could be inferred that with the gift of the Holy Spirit, a human being receives the “food” of the human spirit that sustains life in the eternity with God as food sustains life of a human being in the earth.

What then, sustains life of the human spirit and of the soul that is the breath of life breathed by God into the face of man {Genesis 2:7; Ecclesiastes 12:7}?

A human being lives by God. Life is incessant process of creation {John 5:17}: life/being is created at each moment of time at each point of space and at each level of complexity through which a human being evolves for the next phase of existence – the eternal life. At each time–space–complexity point, the state of being/life/existence is manifestation of the Unity of the Power, Energy, and Law: with the Energy issuing from God through the Power issuing from God and by the Law issuing from God man lives and the entire world that accommodates human existence exists. There are different levels of complexity*e2* at which the act creation of life is consummated: the immaterial human spirit lives by the unperceivable Energy issuing from God; the human mind lives by knowledge given by the Word–God; a human body lives by food – fruits of the world created by God.

Then, what is the Eternal Food through which the life everlasting comes?

At the level of the mind, the Word–God – the eternal Wisdom Who gives to offspring of man, a mortal creature of dust, the authority to become the eternal child of God born of God – is perceived as the revelation of God the Father: the knowledge of God {John 1:1–18; 17:1–8; Genesis 3:20–24; 5:1–3}.

Lord Jesus Christ gave knowledge of everything that the human mind needs to know concerning God the Spirit and His kingdom, and He referred to this knowledge as to the everlasting life {Luke 17:20–21; John 4:23–24; 5:24–26; 12:44–50; 14:15–26; 16:13–15; 17:1–8}. This knowledge is the knowledge of God the Father and the Creator, which is given through the Word–God, Who is the Wisdom and Glory of God, Who is from the beginning with God and through Whom everything comes into being, to Whom the Old Testament refers to as to the Most Precious Wisdom, the Tree of Life, and the Foundation of life {Proverbs 3:13–20; 8:1–36; 9:1–11; Matthew 11:27; John 1:1–4, 14, 18; 16:28; 17:1–26}. By the will of God, because of love of God, for the sake of salvation of the world, He is sent to man as the Bread from the Heaven with Whom the life everlasting comes; He is the Door through Whom a human child of God enters the glory of the Father {John 1:1–18; 3:3–8, 16–17; 6:33–58; 10:7, 27–30; 14:6; 17:1–26}.

The Word–God speaks of Himself as of Bread – the Heavenly Bread that comes from the Heaven, as of Flesh and Blood that feeds man by giving the everlasting life {John 6:27–58}. As consumed bread is transformed into human flesh and blood and therefore sustains being/life of body and mind, likewise, the Word–God becomes the firmament, the essence, the structure [[στερεωμα – see Note *11* to the main text]], the wisdom  – all that is the nature of human soul–heart–mind of His follower:

the Word–God creates a being empowered to accept the Holy Spirit of God (that is to be born of God)

the Holy Spirit gives to this being/child of God the everlasting life

by enabling the child of God to exist in the presence of God throughout the eternity

The knowledge given by the Word–God is complete and easy and free and good and perfect as everything given by God is good and free and perfect {Matthew 11:28–30; John 1:12–13; 7:37–39; 8:31–36; James 1:17–18, 21–25; 1 Peter 2:15–16; 1 John 5:3; 2 Corinthians 3:17–18; Galatians 4:9; Revelation 21:6}.

The Word–God gives this knowledge to the one who is able to accept it, who asks it, seeks it, and knocks on the door of Wisdom {Matthew 11:27; John 1:12–13; 6:37–40, 63, 65–69; 12:26; 14:1–7; 17:1–26} – to the one who longs for knowledge, wisdom, and freedom obtained through the Christian teachings given by Lord Jesus Christ.

Knowledge is the power to think, to speak, to act. Only if the mind comprehends the law that defines and controls the nature (the nature of man, the nature of the world that accommodates existence of man, and the nature of events and things that might be a subject of interest), the mind obtains the actual power to act and to achieve its purposes. Any human knowledge is true if it gives the actual power to act purposefully, efficiently, and successfully. Similarly, a human being obtains everlasting life, if he has true knowledge of God. For the one who seeks Lord God Jesus Christ, the path of cognition and simultaneously path into the eternity begins with three steps: he

a/ comes to the faith in Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Word–God, the Holy Wisdom of God,

through Whom the knowledge of God and His world is given

b/ accepts the commandments of Lord God Jesus Christ

{John 13:34–35; 15:4–12}

as the main law by which he must live

c/ absorbs the knowledge of commandments and words of God

with all his heart and mind and makes it the foundation of own thoughts, words, and actions

…everything that it is given to a child within this world is temporal, limited, and incomplete: bread of yesterday was consumed yesterday, and today a child is hungry and needs food again. To the contrary, if the human soul–heart–mind living by the Word–God receives the perfect gift of God – the Holy Spirit with Whom the life everlasting comes {John 14; 17:1–8} – only then, there is nothing more to ask and nothing more to seek, because everything is complete…

Consequently, is there anything in the world, which is worthy to be sought after, besides the Word–God because of Whom the Holy Spirit comes {John 14:15–17, 26; 16:7–16} and leads a human being into the kingdom of God {cf.: Matthew 6:24–34}?

The Steps to the Complete Knowledge:

Acceptance of the Absolute

I am the Lord thy God,

Who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

Thou shall have no other gods beside Me

{Exodus 20:2–3}

Thou shall have no other gods before My face

{Deuteronomy 5:7}

You shall love the Lord your God with all your soul, and with all your heart, and with all your mind,

and with all your understanding, and with all you strength

{Matthew 22:37–38; Mark 12:29–30; Luke 10:27; Deuteronomy 6:4–5

What the one should do, if

a/ he has made a choice*1* between life and death –– the choice that is inevitable for any human being born into this world either to obtain or to forfeit the everlasting life with God

b/ his choice is to become a child of God

c/ he desires to obtain επιγνωσεως*2* – the complete knowledge of God, so he shall be prepared for the eternity with God?

Perhaps, the most efficient way would be to start with the inner – within the one’s heart–mind – acceptance of God:

––– to tell to himself that, without God, there is

no other way of life

≈≈≈

no other possibility of survival

≈≈≈

no other way to reach the zenith of knowledge and wisdom,

for which the human mind has been designed

≈≈≈

no other life–sustaining power

≈≈≈

no other meaning of existence

≈≈≈

no other meaning of humanity, mercy, and love

≈≈≈

nothing

––– to open his mind to the words of God, so they will take their natural place in the mind and become hidden, yet absolute, protection from sin {Psalm 118(119):11, 105–106, 111–112; Isaiah 26:9–10; cf. in: John 8:34–47} – sin against God and sin*3* against creations of God

––– to accept God as the center of its cosmos, as the only One True God, as the only Perfect Omnipotent Love, as the only Almighty Power, as the only reality of life, as the Beloved Father: as the Absolute Good*4*.

The inner acceptance of God might be seen as the first stone laid into the foundation of the temple of God, into which the mind shall evolve {1 Peter 2:4–6}:

the mind has focused on its future and now is enabled to perceive God as its life –

as the Absolute Good without Whom

there is nothing good, worthy of living, beautiful, attractive, interesting, truthful, wise,

righteous, completed, perfect, humane

 the mind begins to re–create itself into the beautiful world living by God

Is such focusing*5* of the mind on God and acceptance of God as the Absolute Good and everything for a human being possible within the current world, in which

the evil defies the Creator and denigrates His creation – a human being

everything – all facets of daily life –

politics, economics, false religions, perverted education, acceptance of perversion as the norm, false sciences,

corrupting and defiling entertainment, propaganda, institutionalized deceit

a/ leads the mind from God

b/ debilitates the mind with the false knowledge and transforms creations of God into the animals

caged in the dream worlds populated with idols and other figments of corrupted imagination,

which is intently bent upon the evil

c/ meticulously destroys the human world and pushes to collapse and total ruin all establishments,

which are not found on the law of God

immorality, corruption, and perversion claim the place of the norm and righteousness

materialism*6* became the main religion, and everything serves the needs of flesh/matter

by denying the very existence of God the Spirit Who makes alive, by Whom the mind lives,

by disregarding the words of God that are the Spirit and Fire

{John 4:23–24; 6:63; 17},

and therefore, by choosing death

ignorance, poverty, suffering, grief, diseases and disorders of mind and body, hunger and thirst of mind and body,

atrocities and crimes, inhumanity, and insufficiency of all kinds are the daily reality?

If, within such a world, the knowledge of God and love to God still are the actual possession of some, even if they are a few, unwanted and persecuted ones, everyone still has the chance to be called by the excellence/virtue and love of God and to become the chosen one – the one who is the light to the others, the salt of the earth, the beautiful and fruitful plant in the garden of God, the member of the chosen nation of the priests and children of God destined to reign with God through the eternity {Matthew 5:13–48; John 15:1–8; 1 Peter 1; 2:9–10; Revelation 22:1–5}.

What then, are the first steps for the one who decides to take his road*7* into the eternity with God?

Many centuries ago, the small Hebrew tribe was taken out of slavery in Egypt, in the land of deified pharaohs – the earthly gods who claimed the absolute power over life, death, and after–life of their subjects–slaves. They were given true knowledge of the law that is the will of the only One True God; they accepted it and promised to keep and to observe it {Exodus; Deuteronomy}. Then, they were settled in the Promised Land {Joshua 21:41–43}, so, they would start the path of evolution*8* and become the example*9* for mankind {Isaiah 2:1–4; 40; 41; 42; 43; 56:3–9; 60:1–3; 65:1; Zacharias 8:23; Amos 9:11–12; Micah 4:1–3; Mark 7:24–30; Luke 2:25–32; John 10:16; Acts 17:24–31; 1 Corinthians 10:1–12}. Their history teaches those who wants to be taught how to live by the law of God and provides the terrifying warning to those who defy God and choose the false knowledge of other gods – idol–worship.

Since revelation of the law given in the Sinai desert, there is only one pattern, one way to life for all human beings of all generations within all nations–establishments–states–empires–civilizations of the Past, the Present, and the Future, for all mankind – for all and for everyone:

out

of slavery to the evil and sin, of the arid desert of ignorance and not–knowing God

to

understanding that man, who became the living soul*10* because of the breath of God

{Genesis 2:7},

lives not by bread only but by each word proceeding from God

to

the Bread of the eternity and the Spring of the living water giving the eternal life – to God

through

the only Way to God the Father, to the knowledge that is the life everlasting

{Luke 4:4; John 4:14;  6:32–68;  7:37–39; 14; 15; 16; 17; Revelation 21:6–7}

Since, each human being born into this world may choose to take the similar way:

to pass over ignorance and false knowledge

to accept God

as the one’s only Hope and Light, as one’s Absolute Good, as the one’s very life

to choose freedom from ignorance and freedom from the evil and sin

to perceive God

to obtain the complete knowledge of God that is the everlasting life

Acceptance of God initiates inner processes of purification by the Word–God, release from the slavery of sin*3*, and sanctification by the Truth {John 8:34–36; 15:1–5; 17:17}.

At the level of the human mind, the beginning of these processes might be envisioned as re–consideration of the true meaning of the values, by which the one lived before his acceptance of God. The one needs

a/ to comprehend the true core of the hierarchy of his daily values – to what they serve, what they intend to nurture, which results/fruits they bring: the good or the evil

b/ to analyze them by the criteria*11*, which he could infer from the Gospels {especially, Matthew 5; 6:24; Mark 7:21–23; Luke 6:20–49; John}.

If he accepts the Gospels as his own guide to life everlasting, if he desires to follow God into His kingdom, if he wants to live the eternity in the presence of God, he should beseech God that the promise of guidance*12* given through Isaiah the prophet {Isaiah 40:9–31; 41:9:10; 42:1–16; 43:2–8} shall be fulfilled for him and he shall be empowered to hear the voice of the Lord {John 10:14–16} and to follow Him unwaveringly.

Then, he would be able to choose the straight path to his ultimate destination – eternity with God.

In summary, the one’s path to salvation could include the following steps:

acceptance of God

re–evaluation of daily reality

choice of the law of God as the foundation of own life – thinking–speaking–doing

purification of mind–heart–body through rejection of thoughts, words, and deeds

which are rooted in evil and bring such results as corruption, immorality, uncleanness,

insufficiency – own or the others

sanctification by the Truth of God

observance of the commandments and words of God

doing the works*13* of God

becoming the living temple–dwelling of God the Spirit

Even if the one has no land and nothing valuable left to keep and to live for, if everything of earthly values has been taken away – the homeland, home, family, friends, wealth, everything, still the main treasure of each human being is his inner self:

–– the inner man in whom God ignites His Light and whom God watches over more than a father watches over a child {Deuteronomy 4; 8:5–12; 1 Kings 16:7; Psalm 15(16):5–11; 17(18); 26(27):10–11; 31(32):7–8; 32(33):12–22; 33(34); 102(103); 120(121); 138(139); Malachi 3:17; Matthew 10:29–30; Luke 11:9–13; John 3:16; 14; 15; 16; 17; 1 Peter 1; 2; 3:3–4; 2 Peter; 1 John; Romans 8:14–39; Galatians 3:26–29; Ephesians; Colossians}

–– his heart–mind that is his very own earth, which he may be empowered to transform into his own Promised Land where he would complete his earthly path leading to God.

The human evolution was initiated with revelation of the Law of God; the first Commandment established the Absolute: there is only One God {Exodus 20:1–6; Deuteronomy 5:6–10; 6:4–5}. Thus, acceptance of τον μονον αληθινον Θεον {John 17:3} – the only One True God – as the center of the human universe and recognition of His omnipotence and perfections had to be accomplished through carrying out the first great commandment:

you shall love the Lord your God with all your soul, and with all your heart, and with all your mind,

and with all your understanding, and with all you strength

{Matthew 22:37–38; Mark 12:29–30; Luke 10:27; Deuteronomy 6:4–5}

If the one learns to love God, he may be empowered to discern the image and likeness of God within every human being – that is when

he begins to love*14* the others as he loves himself, because they are the same creations of God as he is

he accomplishes the second of two greatest commandments, on which all the Law and revelations of prophets hang

his heart–mind becomes the vessel carrying the law of God according to its natural way of life,

because two greatest commandments of love (love to God and love to the others) are the essence of the Law –

the Law of Love., which is the essence of a human being

who was created in image and after likeness of God Who is Love

{Deuteronomy 6:4–6; 30:11–14, 19–20; Leviticus 19:18;

Matthew 22:37–40; John 13:34–35; 14; 15:9–17; 17; 1 John 3; 4; Romans 13:8–10}

There is one more detail, which usually remains in the background, as the shadow of the sun that shines upon the fortress in a process of construction. The one who chooses the law of God as his own way of life inevitably begins the inner war*15* – the spiritual war with the evil, which is waged firstly, within his own heart–mind, and during of which the mind is molded into the invincible system*16* unwaveringly focused on God and existing for the sake of fulfillment of the will of God. The victory in this war crowns the one with the priceless gifts*17* of God – His love, His peace, His Kingdom – here, at the earth, within own heart–mind, and then, in the eternity – with God.

Thus, the first commandment might be envisioned as the code that initiates arrangement of a new perfect invincible system – Θεου οικοδομη {1 Corinthians 3:9} the building–construction–world–κοσμοσ, which God creates for His purposes.

Growth–development and evolution*8* of this system are accomplished through observance of the words of Lord Jesus Christ {John 14; 15; 16; 17}: it enables the mind to receive the Holy Spirit and to be empowered for complete cognition of true knowledge of God and His Word – the knowledge that is the everlasting life {John 17:3}.

The practical problem is where the mind will seek and from whom the mind will accept the knowledge, which it holds to be the true knowledge of God.

What then, is the nature of knowledge? How the one could differentiate the true knowledge from the false knowledge, if his way to God just began to appear within the blinding fog of ignorance and false knowledge?

All begins with reading of the Gospels and Books of the New Testament: they convey the Truth that ignites the light of reasoning.

With acceptance of God, faith in God and love to God enter the heart–mind, facilitate understanding of His Name*18*, observance of His law {1 John 5:3}, and accomplishing His will. Acceptance and faith have to find their dwelling in the mind; then, God empowers the mind for comprehension of the human nature and the nature of the world through which the one has to pass and in which the process of human evolution must be completed. Isaiah the prophet describes this process of as a journey of the blind ones whom God leads by the unknown ways transforming for them the darkness into the light and keeping them unharmed in waters and in fire {Isaiah 42:16; 43:2–8, 19–21; 60:19–22}. During this journey, God creates a new people for Himself: an ignorant vile beast evolves into the immortal being {Psalm 72(73):22–26} on whom the Glory of God shines {Revelation 21:1–7, 10–11, 22–23}.

For Christians, the history of human quest for knowledge of God was completed when Philip the disciple asked Lord God Jesus Christ to reveal them God the Father and received answer of God “the one seeing Me has seen the Father” {John 1:18; 14:6–12}: knowledge of God the Father and of Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God sent by God the Father, is the eternal life {John 17:3; 1:1–4}.

Since, for the Christians, Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Word–God – Λογος, is the only Shepherd and the Head of the Εκκλησια [[gathering*19*]] of His people, the perfection and the fulfillment and the completeness of Godhead {John 10:7–18, 27–30; Colossians 1:9–28}. As it was foretold by the prophets {e.g., Proverbs 1:23; Isaiah 44:3; Ezekiel 36:26–28}, and as it was promised by Lord God Jesus Christ, the ultimate knowledge of God, which is the eternal life, comes with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit educates and teaches every human being who has faith, who fulfills the commandments of God, and who becomes a child of God born of God {cf.: John 1:1–13; 14:15–26; 15:26; 16:7–15; 1 John 3:23–24; 4:13; Ephesians 1:2–23}.

The others, who focus their reasoning on the material things*6* – the visible perceivable matter {those who harden their heart and close the eyes of their reason Isaiah 42:5; Ezekiel 12:1–2}, and who made themselves unable to tolerate, to perceive, and ultimately, to accept God and to perceive truth of His words, which are the words of life, are not enabled to begin their evolution/ascent to God. Although their inner essence might be covered with an appearance of piousness and righteousness,

their evolution has been turned into

stagnation corruption degeneration destruction

they waste their lives worshiping figments of imagination – the images of flesh,

such as idols and self–deified mortal men who pretend on the place of God,

and attempt to build their lives on false knowledge, which initiates their ruin and collapse of their establishments*20*

{Isaiah 1:2–4; 2:6–9; 44:9–20; Ezekiel 8:1–18; Hosea 4:1–19; 7:1–16; Micah 6:8–16; Zephaniah 1:1–18; 2:1–14; 3:1–4, 6; Zacharias 7:9–14;

Matthew 23:1–38; Acts 12:21–23; 1 John 2:18–19; 4:1–5; 2 Corinthians 11:13–15; 2 Thessalonians 2:3–12}

The unquenchable thirst for God combined with corrupted imagination {in: Genesis 8:15–21}, ignorance {Hosea 4:1–7}, and inability to accept the truth {Isaiah 6:9–10; Mark 4:12; John 8:37–45} are the reasons why the ancient heathenism*21* came into existence and the heathen religion – Aristotle–Aquinas’ political theology – masquerading as Christianity {Matthew 7:15–27; Acts 20:28–30; 2 Peter 2:1–22; 1 John 2:18–19; Jude 3–4, 17–21} still claims the many*22*.

What then, is the nature of knowledge*23*, why the human soul–heart–mind cannot live without knowledge of God and, if is deprived of truth, consumes any poisonous heresy {e.g., Isaiah 59:4–8} and believes in any myth and any fallacy of heathen philosophy {cf.: Colossians 2:8}, if it is covered with the name of God?

The words of Lord Jesus Christ explain the nature of knowledge. God tells His listeners that

1/ the kingdom of God is within man; He compares the Kingdom with the seed of a mighty tree {Mark 4:30–32}, and with a treasure in a field for the sake of which the merchant sells all he has and buys the field {Matthew 13:44–46}

2/ the One Who sows the good seed, is the Son of man, the Word–God; the seed is the words of God; the One Who sows, sows the words, which in those who accept them bring the great harvest. A smallest seed becomes greater than all the plants and fills the space with the great branches, so the birds of the heaven are able to roost in its shade; similarly, the kingdom of God becomes the entirety of the human heart–soul–mind {Matthew 13:37–43; Mark 4:14–20, 26–32; Luke 8:3–15}

3/ words of Lord Jesus Christ convey knowledge of God the Father and the Word–God Who He sent for salvation of the world; this knowledge is the life everlasting; Λογος – the Word – is the Truth of God that sanctifies a human being and empowers his heart–mind for the love of God {John 17:3–7, 17–26}.

Also, the Old Testament refers to those who are chosen by God as to the vineyard of the Lord {Isaiah 5:7}. Then, St. James the Apostle writes of the implanted Word {James 1:21}: the Word–God, the seed of the eternal life, is planted within the temporal structure of the matter to establish the kingdom of God within a human being {Matthew 13:2–32; Mark 4:11–32; Luke 8:4–18}.

The referred above texts from the Holy Scriptures liken the words of God – the words, which convey knowledge of God – to the seed of the Kingdom of God:

the One Who sows casts the seeds into the earth, in which they become the mighty trees

likewise, the words of God implanted into the heart–mind of man

grow into the Kingdom of God

transform a human being into the son of the Kingdom – a child of God,

the firstfruit of certain creations of God brought forth by the Word of Truth

{cf.: John 1:12–13; James 1:17–18; 1 Peter 1; Galatians 3:26–29; Ephesians}

Therefore, the knowledge that transforms a human being into the son of the kingdom of God defines the immortal human nature: the knowledge of God, which is the everlasting life, constitutes the highest human wisdom, is priceless – nothing in the world of the matter can be compared with the wisdom given by God; this knowledge should be the main priority. The knowledge of God is the gift of the Holy Spirit, the Teacher Who is sent by God the Father according to the promise given by Lord Jesus Christ {John 1:1–3; 14:15–17, 26; 15:26} to those who love God by observing His words, that is by living according to His law–commandments–words, that is by accomplishing His will {in: Matthew; Mark; Luke; John}.

The Holy Scriptures {see the references to the Holy Spirit and to the Word–God, Lord Jesus Christ, in: Mark 1:8; Luke 3:16–17; 4:16–21; 6:19; John 1:32;  Isaiah 61:1–11; then, John 7:37–39; 14:15–17, 26; 15:26; 16:13–15; Acts 1:1–8; 2:1–18; Revelation 21:6; 22:1} reveal that the gifts of the Holy Spirit include the divine life–giving power/energy, which

a/ forms the human soul–heart–mind

b/ originates the human abilities

–– to exist/live according to the human nature –  that is according to the law of God),

–– to become wise: to achieve the optimal potency of reasoning and comprehension,

which are necessary for survival and development

–– to create knowledge adequate to the actuality: to know the truth and to embody it into own words, deeds, creations

c/ empowers man to act according to the will of God that is the greatest – absolute – good of man

From the practical point of view, the essence of human mind might be envisioned as knowledge; it lives by knowledge, the results (fruits) of its life are knowledge, and the Word–God enters the mind as knowledge – Christian teachings, and empowers/leads it as wisdom*24*.

Hence, by accepting Lord Jesus Christ – the Word–God, man accepts the code of immortality: the seed of the eternal kingdom of God. Then, the human evolution could be seen as “homecoming,” as transformation into the branch/element of the Kingdom of God, or as re–creation of a human form of life by the code of immortality – all these accomplished by the power of God through implanting and growth of the Word/Kingdom of God within the human soul–heart–mind {Mark 4:1–20; Luke 8:4–15; John 10:7–30; 15:1–6; 17:6; James 1:21; Isaiah 61:11}.

From another angle of consideration, the one might perceive the knowledge of the Law and wisdom given by God as the all–consuming fire of creation, with which the human soul–heart–mind is purified, protected from the evil – sins and failures, molded––recreated for the eternity: as the prophet said*25*, Ο Θεος μου, αμωμος η οδος Αυτου, τα λογια Κυριου πεπυρωμενα, υπερασπιστης εστι παντων των ελπιζοντων επ Αυτον – O my God, perfect is Thy Way, commandments of the Lord are of fire carried out by fire, protection is to all who hope in Him {Psalm 17(18):30}.

Summary

If to assume that knowledge is the mental and spiritual power to act efficiently for the sake of achievement of some purposes, in accordance with the nature of a/ the world b/ human being, and c/ the objects/establishments, which man uses for achievement of his purposes, the knowledge of God given by the Αγια Σοφια/ Λογος – Lord Jesus Christ, might be seen as the unity of

the Law – the seal, the code of the immortality: the Kingdom of God

{John 6:27; Luke 17:21; 2 Timothy 2:19; Song 8:5}

implanted into the γη/earth/man

{Revelation 22:4}

the active force

{leaven – Matthew 13:33; Luke 13:20–21},

 through which the Kingdom of God is implanted into the human soul–heart–mind,

and with which the implanted Word (the seed of the Kingdom) grows and transforms a human being

into a firstfruit of new creations as it was willed by God before the beginning of times

{Luke 13:18–21; James 1:17–18; 1 Peter 1; 1 John; Ephesians}

This force triggers evolution/transformation of γη – the earth/man – into the immortal being, a child of God born of God and enabled to withstand the presence of God through the eternity {cf.: John 1:1–3, 12; 3:3; Revelation 21:3–7; 22:1–5}.

The knowledge of God acts at three levels of complexity*26*, at which a human being – unity of body–mind–soul, or matter–information–energy, or flesh–intelligence–spirit*27* – exists and operates:

1/ it feeds the soul by strengthening the abilities to perceive God, to comprehend His law, to learn His will and to accept/accomplish it through own thoughts, words, and deeds as the very own will and the very own ultimate purpose

2/ it sustains the “heart” [[mind*27*]], primarily, the conscience, which manifests itself through the ability to discern the good and the evil, the ability to choose the good, the intention to follow the good, and the choice of the purposes, with achievement of which man creates the good

3/ it illuminates the mind by granting it wisdom

a/ to live according to the normal human nature defined by The Ten Commandments

b/ to survive by withstanding insufficiencies, sorrows, stresses, and other trials of the daily life

{1 Peter 1; 2 Peter 1:2–11; Romans 8}

c/ to accomplish the will of God the Father even within the hostile world controlled by the evil and death

d/ to accomplish the ultimate commandment of Lord God Jesus Christ

{John 13:34–35; 15:12}.

Consequently, the main purposes of life of a human being who comes into this world to evolve for the eternity with God, as well as the entire history of mankind, could be seen as {cf.: Acts 17:24–31}:

1/ finding  acceptance of coming to God

2/ observance of the law and cognition of the knowledge of God

3/ accomplishment of the will of God,

which a human mind learns through comprehension of the law of God and absorption of knowledge of God

God gives His creations knowledge through three consequent lessons, or three interconnected systems, which sustain three phases of evolution:

evolution of the matter (human body and human establishments)

evolution of the human mind/reasoning

evolution of the human spirit

Knowledge of the Old Testament sustains the first phase of evolution: the first lesson is The Ten Commandments*28*. This system of knowledge defines the meaning of humanity and establishes the foundation of human civilization:

it describes the human nature and the manner of life

normal for human beings and beneficial for the human institutions

it sustains the foundation of a society in pursuit of the good of men –

that is the society that sustains evolution of man by creating optimal conditions

(e.g., peace, liberty, justice, prosperity),

in which a human being might develop and actualize the optimal potential of mind and body

Through the law of God – The Ten Commandments, a human being learns the universal language of love: the deeds/actions, with which love to God and love to the others should be manifested; he also learns how to establish personal, family, and social life within any environment, how to sustain health and righteousness of body and mind {Exodus 20:1–17; also Leviticus 18:1–30; 19:1–19; Deuteronomy 6:4–18; 10:12–21; Matthew 22:35–40; Luke 10:25–37}.

This law, the law of Love, sustains the world of a human child of God {cf.: Matthew 5:17–18; 19:16–30; 22:34–40; 23:8–15; 25:31–46; Mark 9:40–42; 10:17–31; 12:28–34; Luke 10:25–37; 16:16–17; 18:18–30}:

it’s essence is love: love to God and love to His creations

≈ ≈ ≈

it will not pass until it is fully accomplished

≈ ≈ ≈

it leads to the ultimate knowledge of God – the Christian teachings

≈ ≈ ≈

it leads a human being to the eternal life

Knowledge of the law of God organizes––systematizes  the human soul–heart–mind for the next lessons–phases of the evolution {e.g., 1 Corinthians 15:45–57}; with this law, the mind, which initially was focused on the material things, evolves into a being prepared for transformation*29* into the spiritual temple of God {Isaiah 40:3–5; Malachi 3:1–3; Matthew 3:1–12;  5:17–19; Mark 1:1–8; Luke 18:15–22; John 1:1–36; 14:23}.

Isaiah the prophet perceived this process as the work of the Potter {Isaiah 45:8–12; 64:8–9}: the human clay/mud is fashioned into the masterpiece of life – the lamp, which will be ignited by the Light of God and set to shine for all in the house/world {cf.: Matthew 5:14–15; Mark 4:21; John 1:1–5; 9:5; 14:6; Ephesians 2:10; Psalm 17(18):28}. The tools of God the Father are love and knowledge –

God loves His creation

God sent His only–begotten Son – the Word–God, Lord Jesus Christ

to save the world by placing His soul as ransom for many

God teaches His creation as father teaches his son

God illuminates His creation by the gift of the Holy Spirit – the Spirit of Truth Who reveals the Creator to His creation

{Deuteronomy 7:7–8; 8:5–6; Isaiah 42:8; Matthew 20:28; Mark 10:45; John 3:16; 10:11–18; 14:26; 16:13–14;

1 John 2:20–29; 4:7–21; Ephesians 1:3–23; 2:1–22; Romans 8:14–17}.

Then, Lord God Jesus Christ tells that His Father still works, and He works {John 5:17–30; 9:4–5}: within the temporal material world, which accommodates existence of mankind, the process of creation–perfection–evolution never ends {e.g., Isaiah 65:17}, because creation as multiplying of the good and elimination of insufficiency/imperfection of fallen human beings {e.g., Mark 6:34–52; Luke 6:19; John 9:1–7, 39} is the inseparable attribute of the Absolute Good and manifestation of the power of God. The knowledge of God empowers a human being, who is loved and taught by God, to evolve and to reach, ultimately, the completeness and perfection of love {Matthew 5:48; Luke 6:36; John 13:15, 34; 1 John 3:14–18; 4:7–21}.

The Book of Revelation conveys the final words of God, through which He manifests Himself to man: “I create all things new: I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End” {Revelation 21:5–6}. Who then, within the limited time–space settings – the world of men, would ever be able to comprehend the Omnipotent Creative Power of God, and what the eternity that awaits those, who are chosen by God and are coming to God, is?

Nevertheless, the Word–God through Whom all things came into being promises His followers that they will do the works of God {John 1:1–3; 6:28–29; 14:12; 1 John 3:23–24; 5:3}.

Consequently, the first attribute of the mind that received knowledge of God should be an ability to accomplish the deeds of mercy and love for alleviation of suffering and lessening insufficiency of the others {e.g., Isaiah 58:2–1; Matthew 25:31–46; 1 John 3:14–18}.

And I think that if to define the nature of knowledge with the language of daily life, the knowledge of God could be seen as the manifestation of the Omnipotent Love – the Almighty Power that ignites the Sun, keeps the earth turning, sends rain, makes man breathing living thinking being, and sets free the immortal soul that was cast into the dust {Psalm 118(119):25}.

From the practical point of view, the knowledge of God might be seen as the manifestation of life–giving/system–creating power: entering into the mind, it arranges the mind into the temple of the Holy Spirit and transforms it into a living branch of the Mighty Vine that carries the Life and the Truth and the Light {John 9:5; 14:6; 15:1–6} –– into a point of the limitless network of immortal life, through which the Kingdom of God is actualized.

All these begin with the first step: acceptance of God…

In general, the human mind has the choice between two realities: the reality of the evolution (life as the ascent to the eternity with God) and the reality of anti–evolution (death as eternal separation from God).

The reality of evolution accommodates development–evolution of the human mind that is cognition of new knowledge and creation of new thoughts, which lead to a/ unfolding of own unlimited potency of creation of the good, and b/ actualization of the maximal creative potency through the thoughts, words, and deeds with which the mind materializes own dominion over the world of the matter given into its possession.

The reality of anti–evolution accommodates degeneration of the human mind. Deprivation of the true knowledge of God leads to insufficiency of a particular, vital, knowledge – the knowledge of own nature and of the world, in which the mind has to survive and to accomplish its mission. In this case, mind is barred from access to the divine energy of creation [[which the normal mind accesses through the faith in the Word–God if it lives according to the law of God]].

Consequently, the mind has no choice but to revert into the regime of insufficiency: it loses the right discernment and became incapable of normal perception of the actuality. Lord God Jesus Christ refers to such minds as to those who see and hear, yet, do not perceive/comprehend, so, they do not turn to God that He would heal them {Matthew 13:10–15}.

Such a mind feeds itself with the surrogate – images of the matter/flesh, which are perceived/processed by the matter/flesh – and creates insufficient thoughts inadequate to the complexity of the considered subject (e.g., the drugs developed through the experiments on animals and then, applied to human beings trigger off the disorders, which are much worse than the diseases they claim to cure). Ultimately, the mind becomes unable to ascend to the levels of complexity appropriate to its nature: it becomes insufficient––sick and then, it is transformed into the living dead trapped within the evil time – the reality of death, similarly to fishes that are taken into the evil net {Ecclesiastes 9:12} [[see The Time in Archive_Selections_2014 – file is offered for download @ website Systems Logic [http://systemslogic-by-alicesofia.net], Page Library_3]].

The anti–evolution culminates in the inability to contain the knowledge of truth, therefore, life; only knowledge of evil and death can be learnt: outcome of the anti–evolution is cognition of the ultimate evil, perversion–degeneration, and transformation into the offspring–embodiment of the ultimate evil – death {cf. in: John 8:37–47}.

Everyone understands that without food, human being starves to death, yet, not all realize that, without the Love of God that is the omnipotent divine power – the source of life, the energy, which creates and sustains existence of every living being of the Universe, and which is carried by the Word–God {John 3:16–21; 6:37–40; 15:1–6; 17; 1 John 4:7–21}, the mind is able of nothing. The mind’s self–deprivation of God produced heathenism of the Past; in the Present, it sustains the contemporary heathenism, which, for instance, underlies atheism, cults, and ideologies, which lead to deification of leaders of all kinds of human establishments and demand enslaving and denigration of ordinary people encaged within such establishments.  In the desperate hunt for knowledge, the contemporary sciences have overthrown all limits of humanity and humanness; however, they gained nothing besides additional details of the same portrait of the same arch evil – death. And it could not be otherwise, because the world is set by the wisdom of God and only God grants wisdom and knowledge {Jeremiah 10:12–14; Wisdom 6:12–20; 7:7–30; 8:1–4, 21; 9:1–18}, yet, who acknowledges God now, who observes His Law, and who seeks wisdom today –– idol–worshipers and ethics–free atheistic sciences?

In general, the anti–evolution might be envisioned as spiral unfolding as the sequence of cycles of repetitive failures, which would end only with the end of the entire establishment–settings. Each cycle is a slightly altered version (new king, new enemies, new generation of people, new set of the means of annihilation – e.g., either famine or war) of the general pattern of collapse/total ruin [[διαφθορον pattern – see Note *5* to Archive_Selections_2015]] triggered by rejection of the knowledge.

Similarly to the dwellers of the Dante’s Inferno, the relapsed into idol–worship mind has no possibility to leave the downward spiral of anti–evolution, to break the loop, to return into the original settings and conditions: it has been debilitated, and it plunged to the reality of the anti–evolution, which accommodates death of human reason, degeneration of the human nature, and utter destruction of the world resulting from systematic and constant rejection of God and violation of His Law. The anti–evolution is the totality of processes of degeneration, decay, perversion, and corruption – all of them completed with the annihilation.

The anti–evolution is different from the natural process of disintegration–death that is the natural end of all systems arranged from the structured matter within the world of the structured matter. The anti–evolution defines unnatural degeneration/decay of the systems created for evolution–development.

In the terms of systems theory, the anti–evolution is the decrease of the level/degree of complexity; for instance, as degeneration and fading away of plants grown from the seeds sown in the unsuitable places, which had no means of proper development {Matthew 13:1–7, 18–22}.

Such decrease of complexity is inevitable, because the anti–evolution is driven by insufficient/false knowledge – the knowledge of the evil. Consequently, the human anti–evolution is a process of degeneration and corruption

actualized through learning/absorbing the knowledge of the evil,

which is embodied into own life and the life of those who compose the sphere of influence

completed with the ultimate total ruin

{διαφθορον in: Psalm 106(107):20}

that is with degeneration, collapse and destruction – physical, moral, and religious

The knowledge of the evil is similar to the ancient leprosy [[the deadly disease mentioned in the Holy Scriptures, which destroyed the nervous system transforming a living human body into disintegrating flesh incapable of normal perception]]: it debilitates–paralyzes–destroys a human mind:

the knowledge of the evil

makes the mind incapable of the right discernment

↓                    ↑

makes possible deprivation of life–giving knowledge of God

elevates immorality and other abnormalities at the rank of norm

It looks like researchers, scientists, educated part of the population, and those who have responsibilities to sustain life and progress of the society, to educate and entertain the population, already have forgotten the lessons of the history –– there is an unbreakable pattern: immorality is followed with extermination, because immorality triggers self–destruction, which awaits any mind that violates the law of God or attempts to live without knowledge of God.

*3* In Greek, sin is αμαρτια – inability to get something needed or desirable or proper, missing the mark.

Sin is a violation of the law of God. Sin is failure to achieve the purposes, an inability to accomplish the mission of man, firstly, an inability to create the good that is to fulfill the Law/will of God.

Lord God Jesus Christ reminds men that they are “unworthy servants,” and when they accomplish the commandments of God, they only do their duties {Luke 17:10}: a human being exists for the sake of accomplishment of the will – that is of the law – of God.

Many preachers flatter their listeners with the references to God as to “brother” and to them as to “gods” because they receive the Word of God. At the same time, the preachers forget to mention that each human being is a servant created to perform the definite job, so the Word of God would be embodied into the life and deeds of men {Matthew 7:24–27; 20:1–16; 21:28–41; John 10:34–35}.

If the one fails to create good – commits sin before God {in: James 4:17}, he becomes the debtor who fails to fulfill the obligations before God and to bring Him “the fruits of the harvest”: his efforts to be adequate to the world founded upon and living by the Almighty Love, by the Absolute Good of God.

Moreover, the Lord said that everybody doing sin is the slave of sin {John 8:34}. This slavery reveals itself firstly, as the state of not having within the place for the words of God; this state might be described as the inability to comprehend and to observe the law of God, and therefore, issuing inabilities to have the unbiased right judgment and the right discernment {cf.: John 8:34–47; 1 John 3}.

As soon as sin is lawlessness and evil, a sinner is a slave of sin: the one of the arch–evil and “not of God.” To the contrary, a human being sanctified by the Word–God is born of the Holy Spirit of God: he dwells in God Who is perfect love, and he is the dwelling of the Holy Spirit of God; therefore, he cannot sin –– the children of God do not sin {John 8:31–47; 14:16–17; 15:1–26; 17; 1 John 3:3–9, 14–15; 4:7–21; 5:12, 16–18; James 1:13–15; 1 Corinthians 3:16–17; 6:19–20}.

Hence, sin is anomaly – abnormality of human behavior issuing from perversion of the human nature, which becomes the reality because of violation of the Law of God.

Ignorance of the soul and ignorance of the mind make the one able to sin; insufficient love and insufficient knowledge of the truth are the roots of every sin and every evil thought, word, action. Sin also is an illusion; the thoughts, words, and actions are sinful, if they violate the law of God: they are lawlessness. The one who commits sin either has no knowledge of the law or disregards the law; thus he assumes that he would be able to survive, to live in prosperity and abundance, and to accomplish his purposes without observance of the law of God within the universe that was created according to the law/will of God. Such assumption is illusion, dream, figment of imagination. Therefore, a sinner operates with false knowledge and therefore, fails to achieve the purpose, which determines the meaning of existence. In other words, a sinner escapes into the imaginary world because either of ignorance or of unwillingness to accept the responsibilities before God and before His creations.

Sin is considered as a disease of the soul, which wastes soundness of body; only after man acknowledges his sins before God (that is after he comprehended the reasons of his failure and imperfection), he receives forgiveness; then, he might be cured {Psalm 31(32):3–7; Luke 5:17–26, 30–32}.

Furthermore, the sins of our ancestors, for which forgiveness of God was not sought, as well as our own sins {Genesis 3:1–14; Exodus 34:6–7; Psalm 105(106):6} are the reasons of our misery: we eat the spoiled fruits, grown by all those who lived before us, as well as those which we ourselves have brought upon the earth.

The Christian theologians St. Maximus the Confessor and St. Gregory Palamas [St. Maximus the Confessor 34 in: Philokalia 2:244; St. Gregory Palamas §8 in: Philokalia 4:295] consider sin as a state of the freely chosen death – death of the soul, which has rejected God. Although the soul is immortal, without God it does not have life, because if it does not live in God, it dwells in death.

In general, the essence of sin is the failure to create or to cognize good. Sin also is

making––giving place to––assuming––doing the evil

instead of

creating––doing the good

Everything and anything that contains the seed of the evil, for instance, false assumption, becomes the evil and leads to evil – makes someone to sin.

*8* Evolution is the totality of normal or natural processes called also “life” or “existence” of any of beings created by God.

In general, natural life of each living creature is evolution as development of the maximal potency according to the God’s will/plan; “optimization” is the term describing some aspects of the evolution. The term “evolution” is applicable to all living purposeful systems: a human being, mankind, human society, etc.

In general, evolution is a life–cycle of any being who exists for a purpose and who has an ability to create–absorb–accumulate–transmit knowledge of the good and to embody the knowledge of the good into the structures and systems of the surrounding world. This knowledge stipulates achievement of the particular purposes – creation of the good, maintenance of life and optimization of other systems, actualization of technical and other kinds of progress or the processes intended to facilitate life and development of human beings and their creations/establishments.

If evolution is the process – development resulting in ability to ascend to the higher level of complexity, then, knowledge is the force driving evolution.

In the theological terms, evolution might be defined as comprehension of knowledge of God – the knowledge that is the everlasting life {John 17}. If the one finds the Door into the Kingdom of God, it means that the one has been empowered to comprehend the knowledge of God that is the everlasting life and therefore, his evolution into the immortal child of God destined for the eternity with God is initiated.

Consequently, the degree of evolution [[advancement]] of man is

1/ evaluated by his ability to embody the words and commandments of God into his daily existence – his thoughts, words, and deeds

2/ manifested through

a/ the deeds of love, mercy, and assistance to the others

b/ the abilities to create the good for the others

c/ mercy and love to the others –

– all of them (a, b, c) committed in righteousness and truth, in imitation of God {Matthew 5:21–48; Luke 6:26–49; John 13; 14; 15; 16; 17; James 2:13–26; 2 Peter 1:2–11; 1 John 3:14–21; Ephesians 8:1–2}.

For instance, the Old Testament might be seen as the reality, within which the evolution of the mind as cognition of God began, while the mind, still, cannot see God and live. However, the mind has to learn three main lessons:

1/ own nature – the Law of God

2/ how to live by each word coming from God – according to own nature that is the Law of God

3/ how to love God and the others, because love is the essence of the Law

{Deuteronomy 8:3; 30:8–20; Matthew 22:36–40}.

Then, the New Testament unfolds as the phase of revelation and absorption of the new knowledge for those who learned to live by the Law of God – the knowledge of God given through His Son, the Word–God. This knowledge is the everlasting life and the one who comprehends it enters the new reality – the realm of God the Spirit, in which the mind is empowered to exist in the presence of God through the eternity.

The main lessons of this phase of evolution, which is in the knowledge of God the Spirit given by His Son, the Word–God, include the following {in: Matthew 4:4; 5:48; 11:27–30; 16:21–26; 26:36–46; Luke 6:35–36; John 4:23–24, 31–38; 6:27–69; 13:1–17, 34–35; 14; 15; 16; 17; James 1:17–25; 1 Peter 1; 2; 1 John; Ephesians 1; 2; Deuteronomy 8:3}:

1/ a human soul–heart–mind (the inner man or the essence of man) lives by the Word–God as a human body lives by bread

2/ the eternal life is in knowledge of God and the Word–God Whom God the Father has sent to save the world

3/ a human being must become imitation of the Absolute Good of God – His Love, His mercy, His Perfection

4/ a human being must become an image (imitation) of Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, for Whom the will of God the Father is the Absolute that must be accomplished above all

5/ the eternity with God is opened to the one who became the creation of Christ and in Christ.

Hence, the last phase of the evolution of human mind at the earth might be envisioned as the ultimate choice between the evil imagination of man and the true knowledge of God: the evolution is accomplished when the mind discards all illusions, fantasies, and false assumptions, embraces the only true reality – the reality of the One Perfect – Absolute – God Whose power is the absolute power and Whose mercy is the perfect mercy, and becomes that what it was created to be – the temple–dwelling of the Creator. The first step to the ultimate perfection is understanding that faith, acceptance of the knowledge of God the Father, and observance of the commandments of Lord God Jesus Christ precede coming of the Spirit–Fire Who descends on those who are chosen to became the temple of God and to dwell with God in the eternity of His kingdom {Luke 12:49; John 3:3–6; 7:39; 14:15–17, 23, 24; Revelation 21:27; 22:3–5; Isaiah 64:8}. The knowledge of God should fill the mind and become the absolute truth and the only reality of existence:

God is the Absolute, the ultimate perfection, the only truth

the Love of God makes a human being perfect creation ready for the eternity

the knowledge of God is the only valuable possession

there is none and there is nothing besides God.

It means also that in the world created by God and given into dominion of man, nothing should take the place of God or pretend on possession by any of the attributes of God. Whatever good men are able to create, they create it only if the power of God acts through them.

Consequently, the observer evaluates degree of system’s evolution by

1/ the development of the optimal potential (capacity, force, efficiency), which the system is intended to achieve according to the system’s design

and

2/ abilities or preparedness to achieve new purposes at new level(s) of complexity – that is the abilities to learn, to absorb, to comprehend the new knowledge and to apply it for making the choice of new purposes and achievement of new purposes.

In general, the evolution is the breakthrough, the exit from the completed phase of existence, when the mind that has completed absorption of the entirety of knowledge, which sustains a particular reality, ascends at the higher level. Such ascent becomes possible because of the knowledge that transforms the mind into a being capable of existence within another reality, at the different level of complexity.

In the terms of systems logic, evolution is the process resulting in increase of complexity, or ascent at the higher level of complexity [[potency of knowledge defines one of the meanings of complexity; concerning complexity, see Introduction to the Systems Logic – file for download @ website Systems Logic [http://systemslogic-by-alicesofia.net], Page Library_1]]. *21* Heathenism is a collective name for a special body of knowledge that is based upon multi–deity theology, with such objects of worship as idols – deified beasts, snakes, insects, humans, astronomical objects, forces of nature, objects of nature – ocean, sea, rivers, trees, mountains, rocks, man–made stone, wooden, and clay statues, “graven images,” human establishments – states, political parties, ideas, doctrines, and other images and hand–made material things – idols.

The core of the heathenism is death – idolatry; the essence of idolatry is worship to the arch–evil in the image of the serpent; however it might be covered with different images: different idol. The most distinctively formed doctrine that unambiguously conveys the essence of the heathenism is the Orphism, which sustains theological–philosophical–political doctrines of Plato, Aristotle, and their followers.

The Orphism became the root of many heathen religions and cults, especially, the cults of serpents/reptiles – the cults of death, in which the attributes of deities include horns, paws with claws, tails, snakes, and horned animals (e.g., the ancient Minoan goddess coiled with snakes and holding snakes).

The Orphism, firstly, is mythical serpentine theology; that is why, in the Gospels, the followers of Orphism and its derivatives (cults of different idols of the Israel’s neighbors – idol–worshiping nations) are referred to as “offspring of vipers,” as the sons of the arch–evil [[the ancient serpent of Genesis]], as the ones who, within them, do not have place for the Word of God {Matthew 3:7–12; 15:1–20; 23:1–35; Mark 7:5–13; Luke 7:29–35; 16:13–17; John 8:37–47; Genesis 3:1–6, 14–16}.

“The Essence of Knowledge

Know that the Lord He is God;

He made us, and not we ourselves;

we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture

{Psalm 99:3}

Life is the process of creation, acceptance, accumulation, and transfer of knowledge. Everything we perceive, hear, see, feel, discern, infer, comprehend is intended to carry and convey information. Information is the specific form of energy, which sustains reality of human mind–intelligence–reasoning. The mind consumes energy–information: it classifies, analyzes, combines, correlates, and intertwines new information with already accumulated information; it infers the laws, which underlie the described events, evaluates significance, and so on. Eventually, the mind creates new knowledge and begins the next cycle of cognition. The chain of the cycles of cognition ends in the moment of physical death of a body, when the human mind–soul–spirit sheds its earthly clothing–dust and returns to the Creator.

Would the human mind–soul–spirit have the discernible physical or material form–body, the flesh of this body would be knowledge; the blood of this body would be the stream of energy–information, which sustains existence of each cell as well as of the wholeness of the entire being. The image and likeness of God define the human nature. The Holy Scriptures named the life–creating and life–sustaining power – this power is the breath of God: by the breath of God a human being becomes the living soul {Genesis 2:7}. “The breath of God” refers to the divine energy of creation. The human mind lives by the divine energy, which creates this something that we discern as

–– knowledge

–– information

–– reasoning, thinking, faculty of deliberation, an ability to comprehend

–– the ability to identify the Law of God behind each event/phenomenon and to apply the Law for arrangement and preservation of own life – that what is known as wisdom.

David the shepherd, prophet, and king left description of life and death: God sends forth His Spirit, and all living beings are created; when the Spirit of God departs, the creatures of flesh die and turn into the dust {Psalm 103(104):27–30;144(145):15–16}. If to continue comparison of life of human mind–soul –the energy form with life of a physical body – the structure of matter, it might be said that

–– the life–giving food, with which the mind exists–develops–grows–matures–reaches the highest potency, is the Word of God

–– the air by which the mind breathes is the life–creating power of the Spirit of God

–– the unifying or cohesive power – the power that creates and sustains wholeness and harmony of life – is the Love of God.

Inseparable unity of the Word of God, the Spirit of God, and the Love of God creates and sustains existence of the world, in which the human mind has to mature–evolve, to cognize love and mercy of God, to acquire wisdom, and to fulfill the will of God. By the Word of God the human mind is fed, by the Spirit of God it exists, and by the Love of God it matures–reaches the perfection–optimum–readiness for the next phase of existence in the eternal kingdom of God. The omnipotent almighty Power – Love of God, preserves life–existence of the world and all those created by God. This Power sustains the wholeness: the ability of mind–soul to live, to survive, and to accomplish the purposes for the sake of which the human mind–soul exists. Without this wholeness {or the undivided in its righteousness heart, which knows and loves God and observes His Law – the Law that opens the eternal life – Deuteronomy 30:11–20; Malachi 4:4–6; Matthew 5:17–18; Luke 1:17; John 5:38–42, 46; 12:44–50} the mind–soul is not able to accommodate the Word of God and to acquire wisdom in its Present; without the Word of God, nothing will enter the life everlasting in its Future {John 12:46–50}.

 Many hundreds of years, many generations learned by heart the texts of the Holy Scriptures and observed the Law until the human mind became able to recognize God in His creation, to learn the essence of knowledge, to understand the essence of man, and to comprehend the ultimate revelation given by the Word–God {Psalm 99(100):3; Ecclesiastes 12:13; Isaiah 40:21–31; John 6:32–40, 47–69; 10:11, 27–30}. All and everything of man is God; this is the essence of knowledge, the meaning of everything that has significance, and this is the highest wisdom for the sake of which man lives. Yet, as of today, this highest wisdom remains unreachable for many.

Although many efforts and funds are spent to alleviate hunger, poverty, and illiteracy, the hunger of souls–minds deprived of the knowledge of God is overlooked. During many centuries, false teachers and corrupted priests in their obsession with absolute earthly authority defiled and perverted the Christian teachings and misinterpreted the words of God: they covered their immorality, corruption, and crimes against humanity with the name of God; they made the Law of life into lies of death; they took the key of understanding, yet, they did not enter, and they closed the door for the others {John 8:24, 43–47}. They are responsible for the loss of faith and the consequences: the contemporary depravity, degeneration of the moral and cultural life, and advanced self–annihilation of the Western civilization*e*1*.

Today, the politically correct politicians, propagandists, and others of all kinds and ranks are afraid even mention the name of God, because the memory of God would awake conscience. However, awakening of the conscience must not be allowed, because conscience has the right definition for betrayal of the interests of the people: crime before God and crime before men. Then, if there is no God, nothing good is: wisdom, happiness, hope, light of reason – everything good and humane has left the contemporary societies; there is no more Spirit of life, and life itself is gone. The time of flesh–eating predators came: where the cadaver is, there the eagles will be gathered {Matthew 24:28}.

And I think: the attempts to find reasons for the system failures, for disintegration of the societies and the establishments created to protect people and countries from enemies, for the scourge of violence and senseless crimes, and for the utter corruption at all levels of political, social, and religious institutions became pointless. God supports all that are failing and sets up all that is broken down {Psalm 145(146):14}, yet, the contemporary “philosophers” proclaimed “death of God,” and with this slogan, identified the reason of own degeneration and accelerating annihilation.

What then, is possible to find if there is no Λογος – the Source of human wisdom, and therefore, there is neither wisdom nor essential knowledge of life including the art of self–preservation?

Who is able to restore, for instance, the failing majesty if no one knows the Source of strength? Even if some still possess the knowledge sufficient to sustain the disintegrating systems for a while, those at the higher levels of the hierarchies have so many other priorities besides the interests of their nations and so many compromises to make, that they have no possibility to choose the right decisions and simply discard the warnings and the information unsuitable for their balancing on the rope over abyss.

It should be acknowledged: the Western civilization entered the advanced stage of self–annihilation, which is inevitable for any system that has perverted own nature. The irreversible disintegration proceeds with

1/ false theological knowledge, neo–heathenism, atheism, materialism, ignorance, and loss of right judgment, which facilitate advancement of destructive ideologies, cult of death, ecumenism, and other movements, which are inconsistent with true human nature, Christian faith, and the very meaning of life–preservation; they fuel social and political unrest and deepen corruption; in general, the manifestations of idol–worship assumed enormous even global proportions

2/ advancing degeneration of the human nature and following decrease of normal human population with such consequences of violations of the law of God as inhumanity and corruption, which transfer the sins of the parents unto their children {Exodus 34:6–7}, which make possible abortions, homosexuality, female genital mutilation, crimes against humanity, and  because of which

a/ natural reproduction and birth of normal human offspring becomes impossible and is compensated with artificial insemination of women

b/ mutations of mind and body [[degeneration: loss of abilities of discernment, thinking, right judgment, physical strengths, which are the meaning of norm]] influence development and life of human beings and their establishments – societies, nations, states, which with each passing day become more and more inhumane and imperfect, inefficient, incapable of accomplishment of the purposes for the sake of which they have been arranged: maintenance of the normal life and development

c/ the inherited and self–inflicted diseases of mind and body, narcotics and other addictions, suicides, military conflicts, civil unrest, eco– and other kinds of terrorism

3/ epidemic violence and crimes in all spheres of human activities and all social, religious, and political institutions – civil, financial, educational, scientific, military, research, etc., which follow loss of faith and human dignity with such consequences as cynicism, corruption, betrayal

4/ degeneration of arts and culture – the abilities to create the good are the first to leave the perverted mind. For example, currently, the general pattern defines the overall contents of entertainment: evil as deprivation of good. Movies, shows, games, books, social nets carry messages of deprivation of good repute through seduction, slander, insults, fornication, and adultery, deprivation of wealth through deceit and thievery, deprivation of life through murder, deprivation of mental and physical health through rape, beating, torture, poisoning. Monsters, vampires, demons, all imaginable embodiments of the arch–evil took place of normal human beings; they tramp over humans and become obsession of teenagers; they march from the screens into the daily life as labels and pictures on clothing, bedding, plates, furniture, etc. Commercial success and popularity of movies, TV shows, and books depend on quantity of shown or described sexual acts, violations of The Ten Commandments, especially murders, sadistic tortures, and other perversions: the more inhumane the overall mixture is the more spectators or readers it attracts and the more similar crimes it triggers. It looks like the contemporary commercial art and mass culture serve the only purposes to erase the image of God from the memory of men and to portray mankind as the herd of beasts in which nothing humane left

5/ impoverishment following the non–interrupting military conflicts, flawed social, economical, educational, financial and other policies based on the false assumptions generated by the logic of simplification in all spheres of research and analysis.

Currently, only the patterns of destruction and self–annihilation adequately describe many of the systems, which have been created to maintain and protect existence of the Western societies.

Consequently, the disintegrating societies and depopulated lands are actively assimilated by the enemies of the Western world. The patterns of the Phoenician civilization*e*2* are easily detectable in the strategy of successful – as of today – assimilation and advancement of the enemies: they are not at the threshold; they already entered the house and became the masters. They have penetrated all systems – life–controlling (e.g., law–creating), maintaining (government, media, education, finance, business), and preserving (research, military); now they begin to define the most significant policies, to influence the social, political, economical, military decisions and, in summary, to accelerate the overall disintegration needed for complete destruction of the Western civilization and total assimilation of its remnants (enslaved population, lands, material assets). The biomass, in which nothing humane is left, is spreading through the countries killing, blowing up, mutilating, beheading bodies and perverting minds of those who are on its way, and no one is asking why it is so successful. One of the reasons is that its ideology gives something to fill the emptiness of minds, which do not know true God and which are fed up with lies and deceit of those who cover their perversion and crimes with the name of Christian teachings. Yet, all what this new slave–owner offers is death – physical death of those who will not accept its ideology, and spiritual death of the converts. All that is offered is death; all what is left – is death, and there nothing more: death of the reason always is followed by death of a body deprived of the reason.

With understanding of the grave danger, in affliction and inability to find truth and to know where to search for salvation, people poison themselves with the false knowledge: they seek advice and predictions of the contemporary diviners*e*3*  – analysts, so–called “scientists,” and psychics – who promise end of difficulties and coming times of prosperity and growth. From where the prosperity and end of difficulties would come and who are able to help to reach them

–– scientists as those who are responsible for poisonous drugs developed for rodents and applied for humans, or as those responsible for “climate–gate,” or as those who deceive investors and consumers for the sake of profit and sell death under the labels of life–supporting and healing remedies?

–– politicians as those who betray and sell interests of their countries for bribes, donations, gifts, and political advancement?

–– financial “geniuses” as those who evaluate the actuality with simplified mathematical models, operate with the wealth, which exists only in their imagination, and deceive with false statistics and altered data intended to calm anger and soothe fears of impoverishing mass?

–– priests as those who sexually abuse and pervert children trusted to their care and as those who cover their political inspirations and lust for riches and power with religion?

–– teachers as those who forbid children to read the Bible and transform them into idol–worshipers, politically correct perverts, and slaves of those with the power of coercion and wealth?

–– governments as those which oppress and execute political dissidents and different–minded?

–– leaders who do not have solid moral foundation and knowledge needed to lead to prosperity and well–being, and who treat their followers as the herd suitable only to be processed in slaughterhouses – the societies and establishments run by idol–worshipers serving cults of death and corruption?

–– who else is left in discretion of the contemporary societies? Who is capable of creating the good and finding decision of the life–threatening problems if the very memory of God disappears from the daily life?

The ancient heathens said: when gods want to punish man they devoid him of reason. The contemporary heathens even the term “gods” are afraid to use and accepted other names for their idols; for instance, such as omnipotent science, wise leaders, flourishing democracy, political correctness, neo–conservatism as the nation–savior, green world, globalism as the new world order (with the implicit philosophical foundation that accommodates the doctrine of the world soul*e*4*, which was popular in the nineteenth–twentieth centuries, and which shaped Nietzsche’s philosophical ideas and influenced Adolf Hitler’s vision of the world order), and the others.

The reason–intellect–wisdom of man, the essence of knowledge, and the essence of everything are in God – our Creator, Father, Shepherd, and Teacher. There is no one else to help. If the mind of man is without God, such a man has no life in him {John 3:18, 36; 8:24} – nor living soul, nor wisdom. Without God, there is no Future with freedom, prosperity and happiness: slavery and perversion await those who lost faith and conscience. Without God, there is nothing human only disintegrating dust, which has to return into the dust…

*e*2* The aggressively seeking total domination, power, and wealth Phoenician civilization pursued the cancer–type of expansion. It was spread by human “cells” – the families, which carried the seed of civilization – its ideology, and slowly, yet, irreversibly assimilated–consumed the Mediterranean nations, which allowed them to enter their lands. The newcomers built settlements in new lands, opened their businesses, penetrated all circles of the societies they were able to penetrate, and exploited all opportunities of influence they could find. Ultimately, the rooted families established the bases – the centers, which sustained the further expansion and assimilation. The overall process reminds the spread of cancer through metastasis: mutated cells root themselves into the tissues and blood vessels; then, they produce new active cells carrying the attacking DNA, which penetrate other organs and transform the healthy before flesh of the host into the malignant tumor.

*e*4*  The unconscious world soul, which unconsciously creates the world in which death and suffering are the meaning of life, is the ancient pagan deity mentioned, for instance, by Plato and by Stoics [[e.g., as upgraded version of the “world soul”– “all pervading world soul” of Chrysippus the Stoic, in Cicero’s De Natura Deorum I.xv.39]]. Its worshipers recognize the unconscious as the source of animal impulses and instincts, which determine thinking and behavior of the moving matter–social animals–slaves of their own establishments (e.g., the “great masses” of the totalitarian states). Consequently, the morality and mercy are identified with the weakness and vice, and human beings serve as the pool of resources that might be reproduced, re–engineered, and used according to the needs of their owner – the superior nation–race of supermen [[e.g., Nazi Germany]] or the political party, or any other deity, and slaughtered when they are needed no more or worn out, and when they do not fit the requirements of their masters.

*24* In brief, wisdom is the power that secures existence, evolution–development of the highest potency, and accomplishment of the purposes for the sake of which a human being and human establishments/systems have been created.

Consequently, at each level of complexity, the meaning of wisdom is inseparably linked with the abilities to complete the life–cycle according to the nature and to evolve.

See Wisdom and the Riches – Folder Archive_2015, Page_5_May_2015; also included in Archive_Selections_2015

*25* In the Septuagint {Psalm 17(18):30} it is written: Ο Θεος μου, αμωμος η οδος Αυτου, τα λογια Κυριου πεπυρωμενα, υπερασπιστης εστι παντων των ελπιζοντων επ Αυτον[*].

The word πεπυρωμενα  is a compound word composed by derivatives:

πε περ – a particle signifying abundance (thoroughness), with emphasis on very, much, ever

πυρ – fire

and then,

either ωμεν – praes. conjct. to ειμι – to be; to exist

or ω+μεν, where ω – derivative of ειμι – to be; to exist, and μεν – a particle or emphatic confirmation.

Therefore, the word πεπυρωμενα should denote something that consists of very much of fire and is the fire. In Revelation 3:18, the same word (πεπυρωμενα πεπυρωμενον) in χρυσιον πεπυρωμενον εκ πυρος – gold having been fired by fire, is translated as “having been fired”[**]  that is having been burnt, ignited (inflamed, kindled) by fire.

In existing Septuagint[*] translation of τα λογια Κυριου πεπυρωμενα “the oracles of the Lord are tried in the fire,” in πεπυρωμενα, the particle πε- from which the word begins, is considered as derivative of περαν (to pierce, through; beyond) originated from πειρα – a test, attempt, trial, assaying. Such translation seems to be not logical: why the fire should try the commandments of God Himself –– whoever or whatever could ever try anything said or done by God?

Word λογια translated in English as “oracles” and by Russian version as “word”[****] is a plural form of λογιον; it denotes words as utterances, commandments, orders, oracles. Word is Λογος, as it is in John 1:1: Θεος ην ο Λογος – God was the Word. The words spoken by God are λογους {Exodus 20:1}; the words spoken by Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, are spirit and life {ρηματαπνευμα εστι και ζωη εστινJohn 6:63}; they are given by God the Father {John 17:8}; the Word–God gave them to those who are to God and who kept His Word – Λογος {John 17:6}.

So, the most close translation of πεπυρωμενα  could be

in English – something that consists of very much of very fire, that is of fire, carried out by fire

in Russian – as of fire carried out by fire:  из огня несомого огнем.

The word  υπερασπιστης  is a derivative of υπερασπιζω  – to close with the shield, to defend in battle

The word ελπιζοντων  is a derivative of ελπιζω  – to anticipate; to hope; to expect

So, the literal translation would be:

O my God, perfect is Thy Way, commandments of the Lord are of fire carried out by fire, protection is to all who hope in Him

Some versions of the Bible [[NRSV, REB, NAB[***], Russian[***]]] do not mention the commandments of the Fire in Psalm 17(18):30(31). New Jerusalem Bible[***] interprets verse 17(18):30 as “the word of Yahweh is refined in the furnace.” The Russian Canonical text: “God! – His way is irreproachable, the word of the Lord is pure; He is the shield for all who hope on Him” {Psalm 17(18):31}; verse numbers are different in different translations.

[[Numbers of the Psalms are different in the Septuagint and English translations: in the English versions, Psalm 9 is divided on two – number 9 (the Septuagint’s verses 1–20, Russian translation – 1–21) and number 10 (the Septuagint’s verses after 20, Russian translation – 22–39); different numbers of Psalms and verses in different versions of the Bible are the consequences of split or missed text, and unification of two verses in one]].

The translation of the Septuagint text Ο Θεος μου, αμωμος η οδος Αυτου, τα λογια Κυριου πεπυρωμενα, υπερασπιστης εστι παντων των ελπιζοντων επ Αυτον  {Psalm 17(18):30} as “O my God, perfect is Thy Way, commandments of the Lord are of fire carried out by fire, protection is to all who hope in Him” is a prophecy of the perfection of the Way of God –  Lord Jesus Christ, Who is the Glory of God and the Light of the world {John 1:1–5; 9:5; 12:39–41; 14:6–10; 17:1, 5 ; Acts 7:2; 1 Peter 4:14; Revelation 21:22–23}, and is consistent with the texts in the Old and New Testament Books:

the commandments of God

written by God are of Fire carried out by the Fire  our God is the Consuming Fire, the Spirit,

Whom Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, came to cast into the earth (man)

all that we have done on the earth will be

εν πυρι  αποκαλυπτεται  …  το πυρ  δοκιμασει

– revealed and tested by the fire

[[that is revealed and tested (evaluated) according to the commandments/law of God]]

{Exodus 24:12, 16–17; 32:15–16; Deuteronomy 4:24; Psalm 65:10, 12; Isaiah 1:25; 10:17; Malachi 3:1–3;

Luke 12:49; John 1:1–5, 9–13; 3:5–6; 4:23–24; 10:30; 14:23, 26; 16:13–15;

1 Peter 1:3–9; Hebrews 12:29; 1 Corinthians 3:11–16; Revelation 3:18}.

*27* During the earthly phase of existence, a human being is a temporal life–carrying unity of spirit–flesh, or soul–heart–mind–body, or energy–matter, accommodated within the realm composed of the units of the structured matter, which are the energy derivatives created/arranged at different levels of complexity.

The essence of man – the inner man, of whom St. Peter the Apostle and St. Paul the Apostle write: ο κρυπτος της καρδιας ανθρωπος – the hidden heart of man {in: 1 Peter 3:4}, and the inner man who is being renewed – ο εσωθεν ανακαινουται  – day by day, while the outer man (body of flesh) is being decayed {in: 2 Corinthians 4:16}, is the soul–heart–mind, which carries the image and likeness of God.

St. Paul the Apostle refers to such a new [[renewed]] creation of Christ and in Christ as to the one who is enabled to act as the co–worker of God {Θεου γαρ εσμεν συνεργοι1 Corinthians 3:9}, who is the God’s field and God’s building/construction {Θεου γεωργιον, Θεου οικοδομη  – 1 Corinthians 3:9} – the space prepared for the works of God.

The Greek theologians discerned three parts/components of the human essence, or it might be said that they assumed that the soul–heart–mind operates at three levels: intellect – νους, reason/intelligence – διανοια, and the reasoning, or the faculty of deliberation –  γνωμαφρονημαλογισμος.

When the theological subtleties are not a subject of consideration, I use a brief contemporary and all–including (because a human being is the wholeness) definition – the mind.

The Steps to the Complete Knowledge:

Understanding

Many must be tested and thoroughly whitened, and tried with fire, and sanctified;

but the lawless ones shall stay lawless,

and none of the lawless ones shall understand, but the wise shall understand

{Daniel 12:10}

It was said to Daniel {Daniel 12:10}: και  ανομησωσιν ανομοι, και  ου  συνησουσι  παντες  ανομοι, και   οι  νοημονες  συνησουσι – the lawless ones shall stay lawless, and none of the lawless ones shall understand, but the wise shall understand*1*.

Thus, the law (νομος) and understanding (συνεσις) are inseparable: the lawless ones who shall commit iniquities–transgressions–violations of the law shall have no understanding*2*.

Reasoning or intelligence, then, is the completeness of the mental power to put together→ to understand: it is sagacity, for instance, as an ability to perceive the pieces/subsystems of the system/reality and to synthesize them into [[or to understand–comprehend them as]] the completeness–wholeness/system/reality*3*.

The mind has the special purpose: with the power of thoughts, to arrange fulfillment of the law/will of God. The mind must embody the law of God into/actualize as the events, material objects, things, establishments, their interconnections, interactions, and operations. The one might envision the law of God as the universal law of perfection: it is the will of the only One True Perfect Almighty Merciful God whose attribute – the Absolute Good – is the Light and Life and Love and Wisdom of His creations; thus, everything in the world created by God grows/evolves from the perfect Seed/Code/Λογος – the Word of God {Genesis 1; John 1:1–3} – and has to grow/evolve according to the law/will of God, so it may obtain the optimal potency and completion of perfection.

The mind achieves the purpose of its existence – actualization of the law of God into own life and life of the world within its reach or within its sphere of influence – through cycles of activities–operations; for instance, such as

–– leading the existing systems, realities, and establishments toward its natural end – completed perfection

–– creation of new systems, which would facilitate the development and optimization–evolution.

Understanding of the existing realities–systems and their wholeness –– the world within which the mind has to accomplish its main purposes [[first of them – fulfillment of the universal law of perfection: the law of God]] –– is the first step toward successful completion of all mind’s activities, operations, creations.

In summary, to have reasoning–intelligence means to have the complete mind –– the mind with fully developed system–creating potency, which underlies the ability of understanding. Thus, in practical sense, understanding means

1/ possession of knowledge of the nature of a considered phenomenon and the ability to apply this knowledge for analysis of the following aspects and manifestations of the considered phenomenon:

identification as a part/subsystem of a system/reality

interconnections with other subsystems of the wholeness–reality,

which accommodates the phenomenon’s existence

the past and future conditions, terms, appearances

progress or regress, evolution or collapse, re–establishment or termination, and consequences

[[of progress, regress, evolution, collapse, termination, etc.]]

2/ an ability to comprehend the wholeness–life [[for instance, the unity of the soul–mind–body]] behind the apparent features of the material objects [[for instance, a living human body]].

Eyes of a body see material objects/things, and ears of a body hear sounds that accompany/allow identify life of the material objects; the ears cannot “hear” thoughts of the mind and the eyes cannot “see” the soul and the mind, in which the actual life is {for instance, in Isaiah 43:8: the people’s eyes are alike blind and ears – without hearing (sense, perception)}. However, the complete understanding includes an ability to perceive the essence –– soul and mind –– of a human being*4*; for instance, if at the basic level, by analyzing his words, deeds, actions, through which he actualizes himself/makes his essence perceptible.

The complete understanding of everything that the mind encounters–perceives–creates is the main function of the normal mind; otherwise, it would not be able to accomplish its purposes, firstly, it would not be able to perceive–learn–absorb–create the knowledge, on the base of which it must evolve and become ready for the next phase of existence: life in the eternity with God, in His kingdom.

In other words, understanding as the feature of the complete mind, refers to the natural stability of the natural mental power – wisdom*5* that sustains survival and evolution of the mind within the unstable hostile world, in which the mind, by observing the law and fulfilling the will of God, has to evolve for the next phase of existence.

As such, the understanding and the observance of the law of God are inseparable: the understanding is acknowledgment identification actualization of the law*6*

a/ on which the world that accommodates the mind’s existence has been created–built–established

a/ which determines – and therefore, might open for understanding – the origin, nature, life, terms of survival, collapse, and evolution, and the end of the world that accommodates the mind’s existence

c/ which defines the complete life–cycle of the mind:

LAW OF GOD

↓

========================================================================================

life–cycle of the mind:

origin →→ evolution*7* →→ completion of purposes →→ readiness for the next phase of life

release–death*8*

[[collapse/disintegration a body that carries the mind]]

transfer to another level of complexity/next phase of life – with God

===========================================================================================

The mind that violates the law has another life–cycle:

origin →→  degeneration →→  failure to complete purposes

release–death*8*

 [[collapse/disintegration a body that carries the mind]]

transfer to another level of complexity/next phase of life – without God

The difference –– either observance–actualization of the Law of God or rejection–violation of the Law of God –– between two cycles of life determines

a/ the manner and the summary of existence: either evolution or degeneration

b/ either accomplishment or failure to accomplish the purposes of the mind’s existence

c/ the destiny of the mind after death: either the eternity with God or eternal separation from God.

It seems also that the prediction in Daniel 12:10 {many must be tested and thoroughly whitened (purified of sins*9*) as it is also promised in Isaiah 1:18, tried with fire – in: Malachi 3:1–4; 1 Peter 1:7; 1 Corinthians 3:13}*10*, and sanctified {John 17:17} sustains no expectation of salvation for the lawless ones: they shall not understand. This text reiterates the words of God {in: Isaiah 6:9–10; Zacharias 7:11–13; Matthew 13:13–15; Mark 4:11–12; John 12:35–43} concerning the people who have the “gross heart” or “heart of stone,” intentional blindness, and “heaviness” of the ears, so the ones who hear they do not (or do not want to) understand, and although they see by eyes, yet, they do not perceive, so they would not turn to God to be healed*11*.

Thus, although lawless ones have abilities of sensory perception (to see by body’s eyes, to hear by body’s ears), they lost the abilities to analyze and to understand by their mind: they live on the surface, by the images of the temporal disintegrating matter, without discerning the actual foundation of the world created and maintained by the power of God the Spirit.

If the natural faculty of deliberation –– understanding as an ability to discern the work of God the Spirit beyond the surfaces, appearances, parameters, and disguises of the material things {John 3:3–8, 17–21, 27; 4:23–24; 6:44–46, 63; 8:31–47; 14:15–17} –– is lost and the mind lives only by knowledge of the material world, by the sensory perception, the mind accepts materialism*12* as the foundation of its world. If the matter (appearance of the matter) is accepted as the essence of the world, the mind becomes a disintegrating system:

a/ the ability to “see” by mind – the vision*13*  – is no more

b/ wisdom – the power to comprehend the words of God,  to observe the law of God, and to actualize it with own thoughts, words, deeds has gone

c/ the intellect descends at the lower levels of complexity, at which the mind is turned aside from understanding and

loses the ability to discern the good and the evil

accepts the false knowledge as truth

enters the state of displacement––bewilderment––confusion

 {Deuteronomy 28:28}

accepts the good as the evil

perceives corruption and perversion –– as the norm, lawlessness and degeneration –– as the normal life

{cf. in: Deuteronomy 28:28; Isaiah 59:1–15}

 How then, the mind that has understanding can protect itself from losing it? How the mind, which has not come to the understanding yet*14*, can obtain it?

There is only One Source of wisdom, knowledge, and reason*15* in the world created by God: God the Creator. God gives wisdom and, from His presence, knowledge (γνωσις) and understanding (συνεσις) come {Proverbs 2:6}.

St. James the Apostle {James 1:5–8} gives advice to the one who feels that he does not have complete wisdom, yet: ask it from God Who gives to all freely and without reproach, and it will be given to him. However, there is a condition: the one should ask in faith*16*, nothing doubting. The Apostle compares the one doubting to a wave of the sea being driven by wind and tossed: he should not suppose to receive anything from God, because the doubting one – the double–minded – is inconstant in all his ways*17*.

Thus, St. James the Apostle writes of the one whose mind has no complete establishment–constancy–foundation*18* – the doubting one, without faith, whom he perceives as a wave of the sea being driven and tossed by wind.

The one who has no faith {through which a human being obtains salvation of his soul  – 1 Peter 1:3–9}, has no established foundation for his reasoning, thus for his survival → evolution → preparation for the eternity with God. Firstly, he has neither knowledge nor understanding of the law of God; thus he is opened to the false knowledge and the evil, by which he is driven and tossed as a wave of the sea:

his mind is displaced, cut off its foundation–root–source of life–maintaining energy

that is from connection with God the Creator

he is wandering among false concepts, religions, cults, assertions, dreams, attachments, myths, propaganda

incapable of perceiving their true essence – the evil

he became incapable of discernment and right judgment

he is not empowered to perceive own sinfulness,

to turn to God and to be healed – forgiven and empowered for understanding of the knowledge of the eternity

Moses warned his tribesmen of such special condition – displacement or bewilderment (confusion) of the mind – εκστασει διανοιας {Deuteronomy 28:15, 28} that follows rejection–violation of the law of God. Such a mind

has nor foundation, nor focus, nor orientation

enters the state of spiritual darkness,

in which displacement–confusion originate susceptibility to false knowledge

violations of the law of God become the daily reality – the way of life

Such displacement–bewilderment–confusion of the mind tossed and driven by any false/lies is the “curse” that plagues the one without faith – the doubting or double–minded, the one who is ready to violate the law of God and to accept any false/lies as the truth.

In summary, violation of the law of God culminates in insufficiency of the power of reasoning followed with collapse of human reasoning: displacement or bewilderment – confusion of the mind. Collapse of the reasoning is the state, in which the mind becomes unable to perceive the Creator and to accept from Him knowledge and understanding. The common consequences of collapse of human reasoning include*19*

1/ acceptance of false religions

[[including atheism, materialism, and cults of the arch–evil – the cults of death and insanity with such common feature as the belief

that it is possible to serve True God by murdering, humiliating, enslaving, torturing, mutilating, abusing human beings –

creations of God created in image and likeness of God]]

2/ heresy

3/ apostasy

4/ idolatry

Hence, the one who is seeking complete understanding, which is the actualization of the optimal potency of mind, should seek knowledge of the law of God and, if found, with all his mind, all his abilities, and all his strengths to observe the law – commandments and words of God {Matthew 22:37–40; Luke 10:25–37; John 13:34–35; 14:15–27; 15; 16; 17; Deuteronomy 6:4–6; 30:19–20; Leviticus 19:18} as the Absolute*20*  Law by embodying it into own life.  The embodiment of the law of God into own life means

a/ φρονεις τα του Θεου  – thinking of that is of God

and δε νουν Χριστου εχομεν follow the reasoning of Christ

{Matthew 16:23; 1 Corinthians 2:16}*21*

b/ speaking in conformity with the words of God

c/ doing the works*22* that are the works of God

{Deuteronomy 30:10–20; Matthew 5:17–20}

Then, the one who seeks understanding and the complete knowledge would understand that

the law of God – the law of love to God and to His creations – is the true nature, the essence of human heart

{Deuteronomy 30:11–14}

those who do not have the Word–God in their heart are not of God:

they are as the withered branches separated from the Living Vine;

they are as the plants that shall be rooted up because they are planted not by God

{John 8:31–47; 15:4–6; Matthew 15:13;l 13:24–30, 37–43}

without compliance with and adherence to the law of God,

there is nothing good, beneficial, and adequate to the human nature

created in image and after likeness of Almighty God Who is the Perfect Omnipotent Love

understanding is the fruit of cognition of the law of God

*1* In Daniel 12:10 –– και  ανομησωσιν ανομοι, και  ου  συνησουσι  παντες  ανομοι, και   οι  νοημονες  συνησουσι –– the lawless ones shall stay lawless, and none of the lawless ones shall understand, but the wise shall understand:

the law – νομος is inseparably connected with

understanding – συνεσεως of the wise one – νοημων,

where συνεσεως is a derivative of συνιημι →→ συνησω – future tense of συνιημι;

νοημων – the thinking/reasonable/wise one – from νοημα, or φρενος, – thought, consciousness, thinking

derived of νοησις – thinking, faculty of deliberation

the lawless one/s – ανομος/ανομοι - shall not understand (ου  συνησουσι)

The mental powers defined with words understanding – comprehension – being wise/prudent have the common feature, which, in Greek, is conveyed with word συνεσις/συνεσεως – reasoning, understanding, knowledge, common sense/sound judgment (also φρονησις). All of them have the same ancient root – Minoan V [[V νονοηνενευ/νι/νη]], from which three most significant words (intelligence/reasoning/mind ←→ law ←→ spirit/life) that convey the meaning of humaneness are derived

V

====================================

↓                       ↓

νο→ →            νοη→ →      νε/νι/νη

====================================

             ↓

         νοος  ← →  νομος                      πνευμα

 intelligence           law                   spirit, life

                                                                                                                                       reasoning, mind

Συνεσις is derived from

συν – union, being together; as a part of compound words, συν conveys the meaning of completeness

– the mentioned above ancient root that originates words, which convey meanings of reason, law, spirit/life:

συν

+

νο→             νοη        νε/νι/νη

for instance, in

φρονεω/φρονημα,  διανοημα  –  mind, thinking, contemplation, understanding

=================================

συνιημι  – to put together mentally, to comprehend, to understand, to consider, to be wise

συνεσηprudence, good reasoning, discretion, caution, judgment, good sense, wisdom, discrimination

συνεσις/συνεσεως reasoning

This common feature is an ability to perceive→ synthesize→ create a system–wholeness from the identified–perceived elements/pieces/parts of the reality, within which the mind exists; this ability is manifested as

understanding application of knowledge of the law–foundation of the world  toward comprehension

of the parts/subsystems of this world,

which the mind has encountered, and which it has to use for the sake of survival, evolution, and other purposes

*4* During the earthly phase of existence, a human being is a temporal life–carrying unity of spirit–flesh, or soul–heart–mind–body, or energy–information–matter, accommodated within the realm composed of the units of the structured matter, which are the energy derivatives created/arranged at different levels of complexity.

*5* Wisdom of a human being is the state of empowerment, when a human being, who has been receiving the Divine Energy and knowing the Law of God, becomes the co–worker of God and creator of works that actualize the will of God within the world given into the dominion of man {John 14; 15; 16; 17; 1 Corinthians 3:9}.

Wisdom might be also defined as comprehension of the Law of God and the subsequent ability to observe the Law – to live according to the Law of God, to embody the Law of God into daily life – the reality of own existence. As such, wisdom initiates and sustains human evolution, which is the process of transformation into the immortal child of God destined for the eternity in the presence of God.

At the level of the human mind, wisdom is the power that enables the mind

a/ to comprehend the Law of God that controls existence of the world

b/ to create invincible establishments/systems for achievement of the purposes that actualize the will of God within the human world

c/ to accomplish own evolution, for instance, as development–achievement of the maximal potency of reasoning, comprehension and creation of knowledge.

*6* See The Ten Commandments – Folder Foundation, and Preface: The Law of God in The Discernment, with Supplement_1 The Road to God – file is offered for download @ website Systems Logic [http://systemslogic-by-alicesofia.net], Page Library_3

*7*  Evolution is the totality of normal or natural processes called also “life” or “existence” of any of beings created by God.

*18* Such foundation is Στερεωμα.

Στερεωμα of the human soul–heart–mind is the Word–God – the knowledge of God: His Law, His will, His commandments, His mercy, His Perfection and His Love – the Absolute Good, that is the everlasting life {John 17:3, 6} – this knowledge makes possible life by the Holy Spirit, because this knowledge became the inner foundation and structure of the new creation of God in Christ and by Christ destined from the beginning of times for the eternity with God. When the one accepts the Word–God, the knowledge that He gives – the knowledge of God (knowledge of the law of God, His will, His commandments, His mercy, His Perfection and His Love – the Absolute Good), becomes the Firmament: the foundation of the one’s intelligence/reasoning.

*21* Φρονεις τα του Θεου {Matthew 16:23} is translated as thinking of things of God. As usual, the actual meaning is much deeper than the translation. The words of God φρονεις τα του Θεου delineate the cosmos focused on God – a human being: φρονεις  is a part of the cluster of meanings stemming from φραω

φραω

(to rein, to block)

φρονεις

(to be mentally disposed, to exercise the mind, set the one’s affection upon)

φρονεω

(mental inclination/purpose)

φρονημα

(mind as inclination or purpose)

φρονησις

(insight, wisdom, prudence)

Therefore, φρονεις defines the state of focusing on something that is the purpose/inclination; in the contemporary terms, the mind is blocked on that what is of God.

Traditional translation of ημεις δε νουν Χριστου εχομεν {in: 1 Corinthians 2:16}, where νουν is a derivative of νοος – intelligence, reasoning, mind, and εχομεν – interpreted as “have,” is “we have/possess the mind of Christ” [*].

Strict meaning of ημεις δε νουν Χριστου εχομεν is “we just/exactly the reasoning of Christ follow.”

The Inevitability of the Law

Do not think that I came to annul the Law or the prophets; I did not come to annul but to fulfill.

Until the heavens and the earth pass away,

in no way shall one iota or one point pass away from the law, until all comes to pass

{Matthew 5:17–18}

Lord God Jesus Christ speaks of the inevitability of the Law given by God: this Law shall be fulfilled up to the smallest point until the entire world created by God –– the wholeness of the heavens and the earth*1* –– passes away {Matthew 5:17–18; Luke 16:16–17; 21:33}.

Furthermore, His Own coming into the world created and loved by God is the fulfillment of the Law – the will of God that was set before the beginning of times {1 Peter 1:18–21}. His coming is the act of re–creation––renewal [[lifting the world up, at the next level of complexity –– the timeless continuity]], which the people perceived as salvation and eagerly expected*2* from the times of Abraham {Psalm 106(107); 147:15–20; Isaiah 9:2–7; 60:1–3; Luke 1:46–79; John 3:16–18; 6:38–40, 44–45; 10:14–30; 12:44–50; 17:6; 1 Peter 1:10–25; Romans 8:28–30; Ephesians 1; 2; Isaiah 40:8–31}.

The referred above texts of the Holy Scriptures set the foundation upon which the one may come to comprehension of many things of the Past, the Present, and the Future. The first of them, which points to identification of the entire wholeness (similarly, for instance, to the protective walls, which point to identification of the fortress), is the inevitability of the law*3* given to the mankind

either to live by it and to fulfill it

or

to suffer and to die because of rejection and violation of it

{Deuteronomy 26:16–19; 28; 30:9–20}.

The abilities to understand the law, to accept its inevitability, to observe it, to embody it into own thoughts, words, actions –– that it to live by the law and to fulfill the law –– signify that the one has passed the main test of survival*4*. Without passing this test, there is no way to obtain salvation*5*, to enter the next phase of the road to God:

evolution*6* as coming to the complete knowledge*7*

development of the optimal potency of creation of the good,

when the Absolute Good of God becomes the Absolute Good for man and the absolute good of man*8*

preparation*9* for the eternity with God

The one might discover the inevitability of the Law of God by studying the Past, by analyzing the Present, and sometimes, by foreseeing some seeds and traits of the Future.

Foreseeing the Future, for instance, discerning σημεια των καιρων*10*  – the signs of times {Matthew 7:12–20; 16:1–4; 22:37–40; Luke 12:2–3; 13:18–19; Job 27:8–10}, is possible as much as God, in His mercy, opens the mind for understanding. With understanding the one comes to the complete knowledge, and wisdom*11*: he becomes the chosen one {1 Peter 1; 2} who willingly and with love does*12* the works of God. Then, he receives the peace of God: the state of completeness because of dwelling in the Omnipotent Almighty Love of God, which the Word–God bestows upon those who live by faith in God, with knowledge of God, according to the law/commandments of God, and by love to God {John 14:12–27; 17}.

Because of the inevitability of the Law/will of God, the Word–God became the Son of man and redeemed the world with His absolute unreserved acceptance and accomplishment of the Will of God the Father – the Law that is above all and everything. By the death of His Body on the cross – the tree of cognition of death*13*, when He placed His Soul for His creations, a human being who lives Him as a body lives by bread and water, by flesh and by blood, is redeemed from the power of the evil:  sin, lawlessness, death {John 1:1–18; 3:14–17; 4:34; 6:26–69; 8:31–36; 10:7–18, 27–30; 12:23–28; 13:3; 14; 15; 16; 17; 18:11; 19; Matthew 26:39–42, 52–54; Mark 14:34–36; Luke 22:41–44; James 1:17–18; 1 Peter 1:18–25; 3:18; 1 John 3:1–5; 4:8–21; Romans 5; 6; 8; 1 Corinthians 15:20–57; Ephesians 1; 2; Psalm 106(107):20}.

Since, the one

who has come to faith in Lord Jesus Christ – the Son of God, the Word–God

who learned to love Him and to live by His words–commandments

who therefore, is proving His love to the Word–God by his entire life –

by thoughts, by words, by works–actions–deeds

he lives by the Word–God: out of death, he has been transferred into life

≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈

↓          ↓          ↓

if, before his birth of God, he worn the image of Adam the mortal,

after his birth of God, he shall wear the image of the Word–God

he who cognized the evil and lived by its fruit – death,

he shall be living by the Absolute Good – the food of the eternity

he who had to wear the garments of flesh, he shall wear the Name of God

{John 1:1–14; 6:29–69; 11; 14; 15; 16; 17; James 1:12–25; 1 Peter 1; 1 John 3; 4; 5;

1 Corinthians 15:45–58; Ephesians 1; 2; Revelation 22:1–5; Genesis 3}

Since, the inevitability of the Law/will of God is the only reliable foundation for the mind that –– with steadfastness and determination, by preserving its natural abilities of sound reasoning, judgment, and right discernment*14* during all the tests and trial that are the main contents of daily life –– attempts to survive and to accomplish its evolution and preparation for the next phase of existence: life everlasting in the presence of God {1 Peter 1:3–9; 2 Peter 1:2–11; Revelation 21:1–8; 22:1–5}.

In summary, the one could infer that the inevitability of the law

a/ brings the stability into the world of temporal arrangements of the structured matter with its flow of the vortexes of events, occurrences, things, actions, words, phenomena – the material world, within which the mind*15* has to find its very own road to God the Spirit {John 4:23–24; 14:6–27}

b/ sustains the confidence that everything in the world created by the Perfect Omnipotent Almighty Love serves salvation of the one who lives by love of God {that is by observing His law/words–commandments – John 14:23; 1 John 5:1–4; 2 John 6}

c/ makes clear that the salvation of all of us, whoever we are now ––– either the believers or the agnostics, either the righteous or the sinners, either the kind ones or the evil ones, starting with the greatest kings/leaders and finishing with the most humblest and defenseless poor ones similar to sparrows*16* ––– are in the hands of God Who is the Perfect Love, the Father of lights and the Father of mercies: God of all comfort {James 1:17; 1 John 4:8–21; 1 Corinthians 1:3–4}.

*3* In the contemporary terms, law might be described as the main code for creation, maintenance, and annihilation of purposeful developing entities–systems–living beings.

The Universe is an embodiment of the creative energy of God. At the levels accessible for the human mind, the divine creative energy might be defined as the source of the universal energy: the energy that is available for creation and maintenance of existence of realities and systems within the world perceivable by human senses.

The universal/main pattern–code of energy transformations – the law – defines the nature, time–range of existence, way of disintegration, and other parameters of the universe composed of the energy–matter structured at the different levels of complexity. The law might be envisioned as the main code according to which, within the chaos of reserves, the purposeful system–reality–universe is arranged/comes into being. The chaos of reserves consists of energy forms, reversible forms energy←→matter, structured matter – elements, force fields, and other components necessary for creation and sustaining of life. Life might be defined as the purposeful cycles of transformation of the divine energy of creation at the different levels of complexity completed with creation of purposeful developing wholenesses/living beings and maintaining their existence at different time–space–complexity settings.

The unity of three inseparable correlated components is needed for any act of creation/enactment of the code:

1/ law→code

2/ energy→source of all forms of the energy and its derivatives, such as energy–information–matter, from which the perceivable visible universe/world consists

3/ power→force→will→ability to apply/transform/use energy according to the law/code:

  LAW

  ⇕   ⇕

ENERGY POWER

The law controls the nature of each wholeness/system/reality/living being that exists for a purpose: to actualize the set of transformations of the universal energy at its level of complexity. The purposes, conditions, and results of energy transformations define the system’s nature.

In general, the law has three main functions:

1/ creation of a purposeful wholeness

2/ maintenance of the compliance–harmony–compatibility of all components of the system ←→ reality ←→ universe ← wholeness to the conditions, which sustain life and make possible development → evolution of the system ←→ reality ←→ universe → wholeness

3/ annihilation of the system ←→ reality ←→ universe ← wholeness, which deviated from the law and became incompatible with the (super)system ←→ (super)reality ←→ (super)universe that accommodated its creation and within which it was intended to accomplish the purposes it was created to accomplish.

When the being/system deviates from the main pattern/code/law that describes the meaning, conditions, and results of its existence, it perverts own nature and becomes unable to access the energy that otherwise would sustain its existence. Hence, the main pattern/code/law stipulates not only the life–sustaining processes; it carries the program of annihilation, which is activated when the being/system perverts own nature and becomes incompatible with the supersystem that accommodates its existence. Therefore, the universal law defines life and death, existence → evolution/development of optimal potency and degeneration → annihilation of each being/system.

The universal law also is referred to as the universal law of perfection, because it determines the optimum of each system and directs each system toward its optimum; it provides one universal standard – the pattern of perfection as a derivative of the Absolute Good for each level of complexity {for instance, for a human being, to be perfect, as heavenly God–Father is perfect – Matthew 5:48} defined by the Word–God, Λογος/Αγια Σοφια {Matthew 5:17–19; 22:37–40; John 14; 15; 16; 17}. Consequently, the meaning of universality and perfection is compliance with the Word–God Who is the only Truth, the only law, and the only Way to fulfill the law for the human mind that aspires to enter the eternity in the presence of God {Revelation 22:1–5}.

*6* Evolution is the totality of normal or natural processes called also “life” or “existence” of any of beings created by God.

*11* Wisdom is the power of reason/intelligence, with which a human being survives and evolves into the child of God. This power is given by the Holy Spirit Who comes because of the Word–God, the Holy Wisdom of God – Λογος, Αγια Σοφια – to the one who has faith in Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, who loves God, who accepted the knowledge of God, and who proved his love to God with observance of His commandments and with the deeds of good {John 14:14–26; 15:10–17; 17; 1 John 3; 4}.

In 1 Corinthians 2:6–16, St. Paul the Apostle writes of the Holy Wisdom given by the Holy Spirit, of the power of God, which is the foundation of faith, and of intelligence, reason, mind of those who just/exactly follow the reasoning of Christ {δε νουν Χριστου εχομεν1 Corinthians 2:15–16}.

Hence, wisdom of a human being is the state of empowerment, when a human being, who has been receiving the Divine Energy and knowing the Law of God, becomes the co–worker of God and creator of works that actualize the will of God within the world given into the dominion of man {John 14; 15; 16; 17; 1 Corinthians 3:9}.

Wisdom might be also defined as comprehension of the Law of God and the subsequent ability to observe the Law: to live according to the Law of God, to embody the Law of God into the daily life – the reality of own existence.

In brief, wisdom is the power that secures existence, evolution–development of the highest potency, and accomplishment of the purposes for the sake of which the system has been created. Consequently, at each level of complexity, the meaning of wisdom is inseparably linked with the abilities to complete the life–cycle according to the nature and to evolve

either

for the next phase of existence

[[e.g., a human being evolves into the immortal child of God]]

or

for achievement of purposes at other levels of complexity

[[e.g., the state established with the purpose to secure existence of a small nation evolves into the mighty empire;

a small business enterprise evolves into the multinational corporation]]

For instance, for three consecutive levels of complexity –– the human mind a human being human establishment –– the meaning of wisdom is preservation of life/existence/process of accomplishment of purposes and evolution/development of potency to accomplish the purposes at another level of complexity:

a/ at the level of human mind, wisdom is the power that enables and sustains survival and evolution of the human mind and makes possible successful accomplishment of purposes, for the sake of which the mind creates systems – societies, kingdoms, states, empires, civilizations

b/ at the level of a human being, wisdom is a component of human nature created in image and after likeness of God, the state/condition of intellect, which reveals itself through the ability to accept the life–sustaining energy and power from God and to embody them into own actuality; for instance, to accept, to absorb/assimilate, to create, and to use knowledge necessary for creating, maintaining, and using systems and establishments, with which a human being sustains life, accomplishes purposes, and evolves for the next phase of existence; in other words, wisdom is an ability to accomplish the will of God and the works, for the sake of which a human being has been created

c/ at the level of human establishment–system, wisdom is the synergy of the forces that maintain the system’s existence and development according to the creator’s design, and secure accomplishment of the purposes for the sake of which the system has been created.

Wisdom has the greatest significance for the one’s life and well–being, because it defines the main factors controlling human existence and leads to accomplishment of the main purpose – obtaining life everlasting in the presence of God:

Although the very idea of invincibility within the world of dissipating material realities, systems, and structures seems to be illogical, it will continue to exist, because it reflects the true nature of a free being created in the image and after likeness of free Almighty and Omnipotent God and therefore, capable of receiving the precious gift of God: the gift of wisdom.

During the earthly phase of existence, a human being is a temporal life–carrying unity of spirit–flesh, or soul–heart–mind–body, or energy–information–matter, accommodated within the realm composed of the units of the structured matter, which are the energy derivatives created/arranged at different levels of complexity.

St. Paul the Apostle refers to such a new [[renewed]] creation of Christ and in Christ as to the one who is enabled to act as the co–worker of God {Θεου γαρ εσμεν συνεργοι1 Corinthians 3:9}, who is the God’s field and God’s building/construction {Θεου γεωργιον, Θεου οικοδομη  – 1 Corinthians 3:9}.

*13* A wooden cross, on which a crucified human being comes through the most inhumane agonizing death, is referred to as the tree of cognition of death, because it is an invention of the Phoenicians who adopted the rites of the tree of death from the Minoans and utilized it for the capital punishment.

Crucifixion is the most agonizing, humiliating, and inhumanly painful execution. Its essence is complete deprivation of abilities to act and triggering of dying through unnaturally restricted position of a wounded body fixed on the cross:

–– the weight of body slowly destroys the thorax and lungs and results in slow suffocation

–– the position of lifted, fixed, and twisted under the weight of a body hands destroys joints and interrupts circulation of blood and lymph

–– infection from wounds in hand palms pierced by iron nails and wounds from lashes and obstruction of circulation of blood and lymph accompanied with edemas result in fever and slow destruction of all life–supporting systems.

The condemned are deprived of ability to move, to alleviate pain, even to fasten the process of death; they retain ability to utter few words until the developing oedema of the lungs would make speech impossible. Sometimes, in the heathen past, as the act of “mercy,” the condemned were given the narcotic drink, which temporarily alleviated their suffering by making them delusional. Actually, the narcotic substances prolong the agony because they intervene with the acuteness of perception, and thus prevent the brain from immediate death when intensity of pain would reach the threshold of brain’s survival.

Crucifixion is quintessence of slavery and embodiment of the greatest evil cognized by men. Only the cursed mind in which nothing human is left was capable to conceive such evil. Indeed, crucifixion was invented by the “cursed men” – the Phoenicians who sacrificed their own sons to dead stones and sent own daughters to serve as temple prostitutes.

Eventually, the Phoenicians, or “the cursed nation,” advanced at the way of cognition of the evil until such a degree, that

a/ their civilization was wiped out of the face of the earth

b/ the complete knowledge of their culture, religion, social and other beliefs was made inaccessible, with exception of small fragments revealed through the writings of their contemporaries – enemies, the Old Testament prophets, ancient historians

c/ the crucifixion [[adopted by the ancient Romans and still used by the Islamic countries]] became the main embodiment of their legacy – death of the human reasoning and death of a body.

 “The Sparrows

Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion*R*1*?

Yet not one of them shall fall on the earth without your Father.

But even the hairs of your head all are numbered.

Then, do not fear: you differ from many sparrows

{Matthew 10:29–31}

The Gospel’s text reiterates the truth known by all who believe in God: nothing in the world happens without the will of God. So, how can we reconcile the actuality of countless disasters, troubles, problems, misfortunes, and other evils, which became the manner of existence for many of us, with another truth – the perfect and all–forgiving love of God Who sent His only Son to expiate sins of men and to give His people the life everlasting {John 3:14–17; 10:11, 17–18, 27–30; 14:1–3; 15:9–17; 1 John 4:7–10, 14–19}?

The answer can be found in the beginning, when the Law was revealed. At this moment, the people received the knowledge of the human nature, dignity of man, righteousness, mercy and justice, which are the inseparable properties of life built according to the will of God and according to the human nature. Simultaneously, the warning was given that those who violate the Law of God (for instance, abandon God and His commandments, worship idols, kill, steal, commit adultery, and defy other commandments of God) deprive themselves of the well–being, happiness, and the very life {Exodus 20:1–17; 24:12; Deuteronomy 6:4–7; 11:1, 13–17; 30:8–20}.

So, we all have freedom to make own choice: good or evil, blessing/well–being or curse/corruption, life or death {Deuteronomy 30:15–20}. So, if as the consequence of the summary of individual choices, the world became the place of suffering, injustice, and sorrow, who else, but men, can be blamed for the existing evil committed or unleashed by men?

In the time of hopelessness, grief and tribulation, when there is no place to come, no door to knock, no one to beg for help or mercy, God and His love are the only source of consolation and the only light in the darkness. Darkness did not overtake light {John 1:5}; in the same manner, evil of men did not overcome love and mercy of God. However, we all have to pass through the difficulties and obstacles of the earthly existence, to be tested and purified in the furnace of affliction {Malachi 3:2–3; 1 Peter 1:3–9; 1 Corinthians 3:13–15}. As gold and silver are purified and refined with fire, which burns all impurities and additions and prepares precious metals for the works of the craftsman, as a sword is forged by fire and force, in a similar way, our heart–soul–mind must be tried and trained with difficulties, obstacles, and temptations. The purpose is to make us suitable for the purposes of God.

Hard labor, insufficiencies/evils of all kinds, diseases, plagues, suffering, sorrows, grief, and death became the permanent companions of men since expulsion from the paradise: the history confirms that they always intensify with corruption and iniquities of men. Now, the Earth began to wipe out human race for the iniquities and crimes committed by humans against God, against each other, against other living creatures, and against the nature. There is no need to possess particular abilities of a prophet to foresee that evils and crimes will multiply, and suffering will become more and more immense with each day.

However, the worst of all problems is the inability to turn to God and ask for forgiveness and healing, because when the evil enters the mind, the mind becomes desolated and ruined house forsaken by the Owner: the faculty of deliberation degenerates, and the power of reasoning weakens, and wisdom leaves. Dwellers of darkness, slaves of sin, and the children of arch–evil {John 8:34–47; 3:9–21; 1 John 3:9–10} rise against God and against those who keep His commandments. For instance, during all turbulent times of the relatively recent Past, starting with the French revolution and finishing with establishment of totalitarian regimes of the twentieth century (communism, fascism, Nazism), the first target was Christian religion, and the first victims were the believers, especially the Greek Christians.

Now, the new period of oppression is to begin. The western societies, which exercised their freedom to abandon God and disregard His Law, should prepare to face their new masters with their laws. The Future might be learned from the reality of Present – the system of laws, authorities, justice, and religious intolerance actualized in Afghanistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, etc. This regime will eradicate all western freedoms and liberties gained as the result of revolutions and wars: freedom of speech, freedom of access to information, freedom of religion… Anyway, the greatest freedom already is lost by many: freedom of being a child of God.

Again, the Holy Scriptures provide explanation for those who still want to learn: those who did not serve God in gladness and good heart because of abundance of all things and freedom, they will serve their worst enemies in slavery, oppression, humiliation, and in need of all things {Deuteronomy 28:48–52}.

Probably, the new masters [[in 2010, it was said concerning the Western societies of Europe and Americas]] will not begin immediately to crucify the Christians, publicly chop out hands of thieves and heads of criminals, flog fornicators (that is those who have pre–marital sex), and stone adulterers at markets and arenas (for instance, similarly to Taliban’s practices of execution). Gradually, through the consolidated controlled efforts of all media channels, state policies, education, and definitely, persuasion and enforcement,

the perception of the society will be adjusted

any kind of opposition will be oppressed

overall development will be reversed to the point at which the human civilization started

{Deuteronomy 19:19–21}:

[[indeed, if a spoiled child does not want to learn his lessons, even the kindliest parents would coerce him to start again.

If a nation established on faith and freedom rejects God and His Law

and becomes the servant of evil and oppressor spreading corruption and death,

would it not be justly to make her drink the same cup she forced on the others?

So, in the time left, probably, at least some slaves will learn how to follow the good and obtain freedom]]

the general population will be degraded to the level of slaves – Aristotelian human chattel

that is kept alive and allowed to reproduce only for needs of slave–owners

the body–mutilating laws of new masters will become mandatory for all

It might happen that first years of enthronement of new masters and completion of assimilation of the remnants of the Western civilization will be a relatively peaceful transitional period –– until the general population will be subdued and prepared for acceptance of the ancient laws of ruthless retribution { Deuteronomy 19:19–21}: eye for eye, paralyzing for paralyzing, death for death, etc.  Historically, in all cases of the regime change, enactment of repressive laws and policies restricting or eliminating freedoms of the pre–unrest times follows a period of lawlessness, especially, when the Law of God is violated and the lawlessness is accompanied with utter corruption and devaluation of morals and ethics. Expectations of the peaceful completion of destruction of the Western civilization are based on an assumption that a culture built on Freud’s perverted “meta–psychology”*R*2* would not have problems with development of “the pleasure of submission,” especially, because it is not be capable of resistance to its destroyers.

However, the Christians must be prepared to face discrimination, increased taxation, and oppression instantly; then, gradual eradication will start.

Well, we the Christians are the endangered species since crucifixion of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ; it would be illogical to expect anything better: a slave is not greater than the Lord is, nor a messenger is greater than the One Who sent him, nor a disciple is greater than the Teacher is {Matthew 10:24; John 13:16}. Besides, whatever happens to us is the will of our Creator {Luke 12:6–7; John 13:16–17}.

And I think of the words of God – why He speaks of the sparrows, the smallest birds, which are the food of many and which have no place to hide and no weapons to defend themselves from the birds of prey, cold, hunger, and other difficulties of their life?

Many years ago, when I was a child and my Mother taught me to be merciful and kind to all living creatures, she said that the biological life of sparrows is in the range from 10 to 12 years, yet, in average, they do not live more than six months because they are eaten by predators, exposed to the elements, considered as the nuisance by farmers, and treated without kindness by many.  She fed them with bread crumbs and I watched their behavior. I learned to love the small defenseless birds; then, I understood why they are mentioned in the same context as man – “the crown of creation,” who might possess weapons and lead mighty armies, yet, who still has no authority over own life and death…

Could the words of God, which give us hope and trust in God’s mercy, also carry the lesson of humility – the virtue of the righteous heart almost forgotten in our time, the time of self–exaltation and enormous pride, which inevitably is followed with dishonor and disgrace?
