The  Absolute Truth

…What is the Truth?...

{John 18:38}

…I am the Way and the Truth and the Life…

{John 14:6}

…Sanctify them in Your Truth: Your Word is Truth…

{John 17:17}

…For this I have been born and for this I have come into the world:

that I might witness to the Truth…

{John 18:37}

The Gospel According to John conveys the words of God, which establish the Absolute Truth of man:

the Word–God is the Light, the Way, the Truth, the Sanctification, and the Life of man –

 Λογος ο Σος  Αληθεια  εστι – the Word of God is the Truth

{John 1:1–4, 9; 8:12; 9:5; 14:6; 17:17}.

There are no other gods, and there are no other truths: the Word–God is the Ultimate – Absolute – Truth of man.

The words of Lord Jesus Christ also define the realm of human intelligence/reasoning: He reveals knowledge that is the everlasting life – the knowledge of God the Creator and Father and His Word sent to save the world. This knowledge is based on the unbreakable wholeness–completeness of absolute authority, power, wisdom, love, and perfection {in: Ephesians 1; 2} that is the Word–God:

the Way, the Truth, the Life, the Sanctification – the Word of God Who came

to fulfill the Law of God

to accomplish the will of God by giving His creations the eternal life

to purify and to sanctify those who are God’s Own creating them anew in the Word–God and by the Word–God

to lead them into the Kingdom of God the Father and Creator,

where they – the ones who bear the Name of God – will leave eternally in the presence of God

{John  3:16; 5:20–30; 6:38–58; 10; 14; 15; 16; 17; 1 Peter 1; 1 John; Ephesians 1; 2; Revelation 21:1–7; 22:1–5}

The Word–God became Man to accomplish the Will of God the Father: to save those who are His Own, so, none of those who believe in Him will vanish, but all will be saved. He holds the supreme – absolute – authority over all flesh, over the mankind and the mankind’s world,  so, those who belong to God may receive from Him the everlasting life {John 5:24–29; 11:25–26; 17:2–3}.

So, what does it mean the Way and the Truth and the Life, what does it mean the authority over all flesh? How the mind can comprehend the Truth and the authority of God the Spirit, if a human being is not able to see God and to live?

The Word–God answered the questions, which the mind of His creation could ever ask, and explained all of them in the terms of human existence, with parables, commandments, teachings, and miracles {Matthew; Mark; Luke; John}.

In summary, the Way is explained by the Gospels: the one who takes the Way is the one who accepts Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, who observes His words and who embodies them into his life:

the one who lives by Him, by His words, is the one who lives

by His Soul that He gave as the ransom for the many

{Mark 10:45}

and placed for the ones who are His sheep

{as the Lord says in: John 10:11–18; την ψυχην Μου τιθημι υπερ των προβατων

the Soul of Me I place down for the sheep – John 10:15}

by His Flesh and Blood

{as the Lord says in: John  6:47–58,

ο τρωγων Μου την σαρκα και πινων Μου το αιμα, εχει ζωην αιωνιον, και Εγω αναστησω αυτου τη εσχατη ημερα

he partaking of Me the flesh and drinking of Me the blood has life everlasting, and I will raise him up at the last day – John 6:54}

that is the one who,

through Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Word–God,

receives the Holy Spirit and abides in love of God and with God

{as it follows from: John 6:63; 7:37–39; 14:15–26; 16:5–16; 17; Isaiah 44:1–8}.

So, the one might comprehend the meaning of words of Lord Jesus Christ {in: John 6:35–58} as the completeness and sanctity of truth:

the Law and the Power of God are revealed through Lord Jesus Christ

Who is the Son of God and the Son of Man –

the incarnate Word–God – the incarnation of the Holy Spirit,

in Whom a human being obtains immortality*1*,

because He is the Λογος/Αγια Σοφια, the Word/Holy Wisdom –

the Law of creation and the Law of immortality,

according to which the new creation of God – in Christ and by Christ –

created in righteousness and holiness of truth

is empowered by the Holy Spirit to approach God the Father and to enter the eternity

{Matthew 5:17–18; Luke 1:26–35; John 1:1–18; 5:24–29; 6:40; 11:25; 14; 15; 16; 17;

James 1:17–18; 1 Peter 1; 2; 1 John; Ephesians}.

The words of God establish the meaning of Truth as revelation that God is everything – the Absolute – of a human being, and only the being that lives according to the Truth–Law of God and by the Spirit of God might be empowered to live forever in the presence of God. A Christian, who is a new creation of God, actualizes his immortal nature by confirming that the Word–God is his Absolute Truth and his very essence – the inner Law/code/prototype according to which he lives. A human being exercises the authority to become a child of God {in: John 1:13}

by believing in Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God,

sent by God the Father to accomplish His Will

by taking the Way of God

by living by the Holy Spirit

by doing the works of God according to the Holy Wisdom, Who is the Word–God.

However, the words of Lord Jesus Christ {that He is the Bread coming from the heaven, and that the one who partakes in His Flesh and drinks of His Blood obtains the everlasting life – John 6:51–71} initiated the division among His listeners, followers, and disciples. These words along with the crucifixion, which seemingly is not compatible with the presence of any power recognizable by men, confirmed the Scriptures, which revealed Him as

the Stumbling Stone for the many

≈≈≈≈≈

the One rejected by the many

≈≈≈≈≈

the Wisdom of the prophecies concealed from the heathens and false children – rebels against God

≈≈≈≈≈

the Immeasurable Treasure, the Light, the Truth, the Life, and Love of the chosen ones

{Isaiah 28:5–22; 29:8–16; 30:9–14; 50:4–11; 51:1–8; Matthew 21:42–45; 1 Peter 1; 2; 1 John; Ephesians 1; 2}.

The inner meaning of these words {John 6:51–71} was hidden from those who lived by the visible perceivable material things*2* and therefore, accepted the Word–God only as the Son of man, although even as prophet or messenger of God Who created many miracles by the power given by God {e.g., in: John 3:1–2; 9:30–33}.

However, if to perceive the reality beyond the material world – that is the reality of the kingdom of God, which the Word–God came to proclaim, which He came to open for human beings, because He reconciled man to God, overpowered the death, and broke the partition between the visible and invisible, between a creation and the Creator, between God and His human child {in: Matthew 5; 10:1–8; 12:28; Mark 1:14–15; 9:1–8; Luke 4:40–44; 6:19–38; 11:20; John 3:2–21; 14:23; 17; Ephesians 2:13–22; Romans 8; 1 Corinthians 15}, the one might understand that God speaks of the inner essence of His creation.

For instance, in Chapter 10 of the Gospel According to John, the Lord speaks of Himself as of the One Who places His Soul for the sake of salvation of the many: He received the authority from God the Father to place His Soul and to take It again. Such authority can be held only by God Who has in Himself the Source of life {John 1:1–4; 5:17–26; 10:17–18, 30; 1 John 1:1–3}.

The problem of those who were not able to understand and to accept His words {John 6:60, 66; 8:19–29} was the restricted mind that could operate only with the categories of the material world, in which blood and flesh are the material manifestations of life of a particular kind of beings.

However, Lord Jesus Christ {in: Luke 10:22; John 1:1–34; 10:30; 14; 15; 16; 17} explains the Creator of the visible and invisible worlds and empowers the mind of His followers to perceive and to cognize the knowledge that is the eternal life – the knowledge of God and His Word. Through Him, the human mind perceives own Creator –

Almighty Perfect God,

Who reveals Himself as the Unity of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit

Whose acts of creation are manifested as

the Unity of the Divine Power/Will, the Divine Creative Energy, and the Divine Law

In the human world, blood is the carrier of life, and flesh is the framework, which sustains life: it accommodates circulation of blood that carries life–sustaining energy and life–sustaining resources to each cell of human body, enables operation of all parts/organs of the body – each one of them performing a particular life–sustaining function, and keeps assemblage of the structures of the matter (cells, organs, parts, subsystems) as the living growing/evolving wholeness of a particular kind.

Since the beginning, the people knew that to shed blood of man is forbidden because man is created in image of God: the second “curse”*3* – modification of the initially perfect earth and the human nature was cast from the earth, which absorbed the blood of Abel – the first one of the multitudes slaughtered by their brothers/fellow–men. They also received the warning do not eat blood of any living being, because the blood is the soul of any flesh, and the one who eats the blood of any creature shall be destroyed {Genesis 4; 9:4–6; Leviticus 3:17; 17:10–14}. Therefore, a human being was set apart.

Such separation might be seen as the repetition of initial recognition of different statuses of man and of the creatures of the world given into man’s dominion {in: Genesis 1:20–28; 2:18–23}; it also explains annihilation of Sodom and Gomorrah {Genesis 18; 19} and establishment of the capital punishment for perversion and sodomy {Leviticus 18:21–30; 20:13; 15–16}, which were the rites of worship and customs of the heathens – native nations of the Promised Land.

The utter incompatibility of the heathenism based on the Orphic doctrine with Judaism [[and then, Christianity]] is a consequence of different concepts/images of man:

– Judaism [[and Christianity]] envisions man as the creation made by God in His image and after His likeness

– the heathenism degrades a human being putting him at the levels of animals.

Such degradation is the grave insult of a human being created in image and after likeness of God and abomination to God. However, this degradation of man and abomination to God is the main meaning of the heathenism [[based on the Orphic doctrine]], which

a/ asserted as the main deity the arch–serpent “the absolute” animal [[the arch–evil]] filled with forms of all living creatures, including a human being among them

b/ practiced human sacrifices and justified slavery as “divinely established order” of the universe

c/ practiced “sacred” prostitution, sodomy (as copulation with animals), homosexuality, different perversions of body and mind as the rites of idol–worship to the arch–evil in the image of beast.

Furthermore, since the beginning, it was known that before creation of the world, God created the στερεωμα, the firmament– the framework, within which the visible world received its shape and capability to accommodate life of the multitudes of living beings {Genesis 1:1–10}. Many texts of the Holy Scriptures facilitate comprehension of the essence of στερεωμα; for instance, two of them co–relate the Source of life, Στερεωμα, and the Law

1/ David the prophet speaks of the Lord {Psalm 17(18):2–3} as of his Στερεωμα*4*

2/ the author of Psalm 118 {Psalm 118(119):89–96} speaks of the eternal Word, the Truth for all generations, the ordinances/commandments of God, which made him alive {δικαιωματων Σου, οτι εν αυτοις  εζησας με  – Psalm 118(119):93} and capable of understanding and seeing an end of all perfection, yet which excels all.

Hence, it might be said that as the body accommodates circulation of blood, in which the soul is, and which carries life of a living being, in similar way, the στερεωμα accommodates life as the stream of the acts of creation – the works of God that manifest the Unity of the Divine Power/Will, the Divine Creative Energy, and the Divine Law/Word.

Consequently, only a being that was created by the Unity of

the Divine Power/Will

the Divine Creative Energy ⇓→ the Divine Law/Word

exists as the manifestation of the Unity of

the Divine Power/Will

the Divine Creative Energy ⇓→ the Divine Law/Word

might be empowered to live eternally within the realm, which accommodates manifestations of the Unity of

the Divine Power/Will

the Divine Creative Energy ⇓→ the Divine Law/Word

This realm is the Kingdom of God, and a human being, as a creation by the Unity of the Divine Power/Will, the Divine Creative Energy, and the Divine Law/Word, is the carrier of the Word–God – the seed/code/Law of the kingdom of God {e.g., the parables in: Matthew 13; Mark 4; Luke 13}.

Consequently, the one can infer that in accordance with the Law of God that defines the purposes, terms, and meaning of life of His creations {Matthew 5:17–18; 24:35; Luke 21:33}, if a human being is destined to enter the everlasting life, he has to be re–created into the likeness of the Word–God, so the Soul of the Word–God [[The Blood]] becomes his soul and the Word–God – the Law and the Wisdom of God [[the Body]] becomes as body of a new creation in Christ and by Christ {John 6:32–58; 10:15–18; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1; 1 John 3:1–3; Ephesians 1; 2}. Only such new being might be empowered to be the carrier of the Kingdom of God {Luke 17:20–21}: the realm, in which God is the Absolute, and in which the evil has no place, because the evil is irrelevant: it is not able to exist in the presence of God. Then, a new creation of God is prepared for the new world of the Absolute Good: the world of the eternal life without any insufficiency and suffering.

 In summary, a human being obtains the everlasting life in presence of God, in His kingdom, if

the Soul–Blood of the Son of God becomes the soul of man, by which he lives,

making him the likeness of Jesus Christ the Son of God –

a new creation who might be empowered to enter the eternity in the presence of God

the Body of the Son of God – that is the knowledge*5* that He reveals – becomes the human Στερεωμα:

the foundation and the very essence of life.

a human being is enabled to accept the Holy Spirit,

therefore, to become a child of God and to dwell with God, in His Love, forever

{John 1:1–13; 6:51–58; 10; 14; 15; 16; 17; 1 Peter 1; 2; 1 John 3:1–2; Romans 8:14–17; Ephesians 1; 2; Revelation 21:1–7; 22:1–5}.

During the last supper, Lord Jesus Christ established the tradition for His followers {Matthew 26:26–28; Mark 14:22–25; Luke 22:17–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–32} that became the holiness of His Εκκλησια – the Christian Church and sustains the unity of Christians*6*. Since, the visible life of the Christian Church is centered on the Divine Liturgy that is the act of remembering and confirmation of the salvation of man: a human being partakes in the Holy Mystery from the Chalice of salvation confirming that he is sanctified in the Truth and the Word–God became his own soul and body and his own life everlasting.

Thus, the Word–God re–creates man into the child of God and enables him to accept the Holy Spirit: by accepting the words of Lord Jesus Christ as the Truth and observing them [[by embodying the commandments of God into own daily life, having the Word–God as his own soul and his own life]], a human being becomes a new creation of God made into the likeness of Lord Jesus Christ and empowered to accept the Holy Spirit and to live by  the Holy Spirit. Such a creation is enabled to endure the eternity in the presence of God, while the Old Testament’s man – even Moses – could not see God and live {John 14; 17; James; 1 Peter; 1 John; Exodus 33:18–23}.

So, why only the one living by the Word–God will enter the eternity in the presence of God the Creator?

Because through Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Word–God, man receives knowledge of True One God, the Creator of man. This knowledge transforms him into the very Own child of God, the one born of God {made, borne, and taught by God as in: Isaiah 43:1–7; 46:3; 64:8, and in: John 1; 3; 14; 15; 16; 17} and worshiping the Holy One, God the Spirit – the Perfect Almighty Love {John 17; 1 John 4:12–19}:

the Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, and the Father are One:

everything that came into existence came through the Word–God Who is the Glory of God the Father

the one who has seen Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, he has also seen God the Father

the one who has the Word–God has the life everlasting, knowledge, and wisdom –

the gifts of the Holy Spirit sent by God the Father in the Name of His Son –

the Word–God Who lives by accomplishing*7* the will of God the Father

the one who lives by the Word–God, Who explained God the Father,

Who is The One with the Father,

and Who accomplishes the will of the Father,

this one has the knowledge of God, which is the everlasting life

{Exodus 33:19–22; John 1:1–18; 4:24, 34; 5:30; 8:18–19, 23–29; 10:30; 14:6–10; 17; 1 John}.

In conclusion, God is the One Holy Uncognizable Invisible Almighty Spirit Who through Lord Jesus Christ has manifested Himself to His creations as the Unity of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, as the Unity of the Divine Power/Will, Divine Creative Energy, and Divine Law/Word: as the Perfect Love, the Absolute Good, the Absolute Truth, the Way, and the Life of man.

Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, the Word–God, is truly the Light, the Way, the Truth, the Sanctification, and the Life – the Absolute Good – of man: He explained God the Creator and revealed His Perfect Love to His creation – a human being, because God wants all who are His Own ones to come to Him and to have everlasting life {John 6:37–40}. Lord Jesus Christ focused the human mind on cognition of the Creator, on worship of the Uncognizable Invisible Holy Almighty God the Spirit, Who revealed Himself through the All–consuming Fire, Whose Power is beyond human comprehension, and Whose Face man is not able to see and to live, yet Who made Himself known to man through the Light and Savior of the world – the Son of man and the Son of God, the Word of God and the Man in suffering {Exodus 33:19–23; Deuteronomy 4:15, 24; Psalm 49(50):1–6; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6–7; 40:10–31; 42:1–9; 46:3–13; 53:1–12; Daniel 7:9–10; Luke 12:49; John; esp., John 1; 3; 4:23–24; 14; 17; 1 Peter; Hebrews 12:18–29}.

The greatness and the unsurpassed majesty and kindness of the act of salvation becomes understandable at least in some degree (as much as it possible to comprehend the eternity within the temporal world), if to realize that the re–creation of a human creature of dust into the human child of God means transformation into the likeness of the Word–God living by the Holy Spirit: the temple of God in whom God dwells {in: John 6:53–57; 14; 17; 1 John 3:1–2; 4:7–16; 1 Corinthians 3:16–17; 2 Corinthians 6:16–18; Ephesians 2:13–22}.

So, how this transformation is possible for the being whom Isaiah {Isaiah 64:8–8} perceives as the clay in the hands of the Father?

For accomplishment of the will of God the Father, the Word–God – the Son of the Living God, has the authority to give up/place His Soul for many and to take It again: He has life in Himself and He bestows eternal life on those who, because of Him, are enabled to be the children of God {are born of God – John 1:12–13; 3:1–21}.

Through following Lord Jesus Christ and actualizing/embodying His words into own thoughts, words, and deeds – the life, a human being is born by the Word of Truth: he becomes the participant of the Divine Mystery of Life, when the eternal life is ignited within the creature of dust, and the mortal human flesh becomes the living temple of the Living God, the dwelling of God the Spirit. The one who lives by Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, becomes the living temple of the Living God, because the Holy Spirit comes from God the Father to give wisdom and eternal life to the chosen one brought forth by the Word of Truth {John 14:23; James 1:17–18; 1 Corinthians 3:16–17; 2 Corinthians 6:16–18; Ephesians 2:18–22}.

Salvation of man, which was accomplished by the Word–God, is the greatest mercy of God: this act of God reveals His Perfect All–forgiving Love, because the Word–God is sent by God the Father to redeem and to save the world: to place His Soul for the many. Many generations lived by this hope of salvation; for the Christians, it became the actuality {Galatians 2:20}. The Body of the Son of man passed through death, which is inseparable of knowledge of the evil amassed within the temporal world set for cognition of the evil and the good, yet the Soul of the Son of God had became the human soul, transformed it into the likeness of Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and gave it knowledge of the Absolute Good. Such a new being might be empowered to accept the Holy Spirit and with Him, the everlasting life {in: John 1:1–13; 3:3–21; 6; 10; 14; 15; 16; 17; also in: James 1:17–18; 1 Peter; 1 John; 1 Corinthians; 2 Corinthians; Galatians; Ephesians}.

Still, the greatness of the act of God, its ultimate purposes, and the future life of a human child of God could be beyond of comprehension for those who live by the values and realities of the world of the material things.

For those who live by God, the first consequence of the act of salvation is the knowledge revealed by the Holy Spirit Who teaches a human being and leads him to God {John 14:15–26; 15:26–27; 16:7–16; Romans 8:14–17}: the human mind receives from the Holy Spirit the wisdom/power to comprehend the Truth, to discern the essence – the good or the evil – within everything that is the world of men, and to realize that {in: James; 1 Peter; 1 John; Romans; Hebrews; Genesis 3:1–25}

a/ Lord Jesus Christ – the Son of God and the Son of man – lifts the human being out of the world of the evil controlled by death; since, the evil [[even own physical death and suffering]] becomes irrelevant for the one who is redeemed by the Perfect Love

b/ the death of the Son of man crucified on the tree of death*8* has taken away the ancient curse {1 Peter 2:21–25; Ephesians 2:13–22; Colossians 1:12–23; 1 Thessalonians 5:9–10; 1 Timothy 2:5–6} – the consequence of the original sin of rejection of God {Genesis 3}, of the mistrust of the words of God, of substitution of the false and evil and death for the Truth and Good and Life, which in fact, is the first act of idol–worship – apostasy repeated since by each apostate who rejects the Truth of God and, instead of Truth, accepts the lies of the arch–evil and enslaves himself to the arch–evil

c/ the resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ reveals the destiny of those who will be resurrected to the eternal life with God.

So, during life at the earth [[such life is the limited range of existence as the unity of soul/spirit–mind/intelligence–body/flesh, at particular time–space–complexity settings, within the temporal world arranged by the complexity and controlled by the irreversibility of cognition]], a human being learns

a/ to consider the evil – insufficiency, suffering, and death – as the methods of testing of human worthiness. The prophet compared such testing with purification of the precious gold {Malachi 3:1–3}. Gold is melt by fire to burn out the admixture; then, it becomes invaluable and unsurpassed in its purity and beauty. Likewise, a human being learns to overcome difficulties, insufficiencies, injustice, and suffering, so he becomes able to exclude the evil {for instance, ignorance, malice, envy, greed, unkindness, ruthlessness, lust, fornication, perversion, etc. – in: 1 Peter 4; Romans 1} from own thoughts, words, and deeds – to make the evil irrelevant {e.g., in: Malachi 3:1–4, 17; James; 1 Peter 1:3–9; 2:1–25; 4:1–19; 2 Peter 1:2–11; Romans; 1 Corinthians; 2 Corinthians; Galatians; Ephesians; Colossians; 2 Timothy 2:19}

b/ to discern the presence of God behind the world of the material things

c/ to imitate God the Creator by becoming merciful, loving, and perfect as Lord Jesus Christ Who is the One with the Father and Who explained the Father and gave commandments to imitate His mercy and perfection, and to love as He loves, is merciful, loving, and perfect.

The summary of all these lessons is preparedness for the eternal life: through transformation into the likeness of Lord Jesus Christ and by accepting the Divine Fire – the Holy Spirit sent by God the Father in the Name of His Son, Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, a human being completes his victory over the world of the evil, and becomes the son of God ready for the Kingdom and purposes of God.

In conclusion, it might be also said that the process of preparation of a human being for the eternity might be seen as similar to the process of creation of the precious stone (the indestructible wholeness capable of reflecting the light) from the clay (unstructured chaotic assemblage of the elements of the earth)*9*, when,

with coming of the Almighty Divine Fire – the Holy Spirit of God

the man–clay–earth – the temporal assemblage of the fragile structures of the matter

is transformed

into the indestructible likeness of the Precious Corner–Stone on Whom the Temple of God is built,

into the carrier of the Divine Light made for accomplishments of the purposes of God

in the new world that will have no place for the evil and no memory of it.

It means that the Absolute Truth arranges the unstructured human clay – the disordered mind that can accept any figment of corrupted imagination as the truth – into the indestructible wholeness, which is organized by the knowledge of the Truth, the entity that reflects the Divine Light and that is similar to the Precious Stone on Whom the Kingdom of God stands {in: Psalm 106(107):20; 1 Peter 2:3–10;  Ephesians 2:13–22; Isaiah 29:13–19; 43:1–8; 64:8}.

Now, thousands of years after the beginning of the journey of man within the world allotted for completion of his quest to know the good and the evil – the prison of death, from which man is enabled to exit only through the threshold of the physical death {Genesis 2:16–17; 3:23–25}, any mind, anyone who seeks God can obtain the ultimate knowledge  - the Absolute Truth - that opens the Door {John 10:9} into the eternity with God.

So, what is the search of God? How the one can find God?

God is the Truth {John 14:6; 17:17}; to find God means to accept and to learn the words of Lord Jesus Christ – the Word–God as the Absolute Truth and to accept Love and Perfection of God as the Absolute Good of man.

To find God, a human being does not need to travel, to claim mountains, to come through earthquakes, hurricanes, to become the unreservedly obedient slave of the false teachers who claim the place of God in His temple and present themselves as the mediators (self–appointed, of course) between God and man, to imprison himself in the covenants with mandatory tortures as mortification of flesh and blasphemies against God designed to make man the container of uncleanness and heresies assembled by imagination corrupted with the Orphism and other myths of ancient heathens*10*, to kill the others, to deprive the others of the access to the true knowledge and their possessions, to make gigantic scientific discoveries, to accumulate wealth, to obtains the extraordinary powers, to conquer the world, and to make many other things, with which the human establishments evaluate material worth of man, and through which men crawl into the top levels of the human hierarchies based on the power of coercion and deceit and arranged by degrees of corruption.

God is within a human being – in the meek and kind and merciful and loving heart, which makes a human being incapable of inflicting the evil onto the others. Only own wrongdoing separates man from the Creator {e.g., in: Isaiah 1:2–20; 59:1–15; 64:6–7}.

Consequently, to find God means

a/ to overstep the snare/tenets of evil

b/ to comprehend own sin and to reject all evil thoughts, words, and deeds, which made past sinful behavior possible, and then, to focus*11* on God’s words

c/ to learn to imitate God – His mercy, His Perfection, and His Love – by following Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, Who accomplishes the will of God within the universe created by God, the Holy One Who does the works of God, the Savior Who explained God to His creation and gave to the human mind the ultimate revelation of God – His Image, His Likeness, His Perfection, His Love and mercy – for imitation and accomplishment.

Therefore, the beginning of the search for God is in the human mind–heart: the one who wants to find God needs to begin with self–evaluation; for instance, consideration of own qualities, own past and present, accumulated experience, and knowledge, which he learned and by which he lives. The first result is comprehension: what he has done to the others.

Yet, whatever is the one’s past, there are no limits for God’s mercy: His Love is All–Forgiving, All–Encompassing, and Almighty. If the one is empowered to understand that he has done unjust and wrong things, he already began the path to God’s forgiveness, because the first mercy of God is illumination of the sinner, so his moral blindness dissipates, he receives the power to see things as they are – the evil as the evil, and the good as the good. Then, faith, hope, and courage are ignited in him: he obtains new meaning of life, and true essence of things opens.

Then, the kind and simple and wise words of the Divine Eternal Truth begin to speak to the soul of man, enable him to comprehend the commandments of God and to imitate God as much as it is allotted to him by God {e.g., in: Mark 4:33; 1 John; 1 Corinthians 3:18–23; 2 Corinthians 3:3–18; Ephesians 1; 2; 3:14–21; 4:4–16; Philippians 2:13; 3:13–16; Colossians 2:2–23; 1 Thessalonians 5:5–11; 2 Timothy 3:13–17}. The parables, which the Lord told, give examples from the daily life of simple and unassuming people, yet, through them, the depths of the Divine Wisdom might be opened to the one who with all his soul, all heart, all mind, all understanding, and all powers seeks God Whom he wants to find, to love, and to accept as the only good – the Absolute Good, as the only truth – the Absolute Truth, and as the only life – the eternity with God.

Consequently, the beginning of the road that leads to God might be seen as the self–evaluation of the one’s own worthiness through comparison of the one’s own thoughts, convictions, outlook, words, and deeds with

– the Gospels that convey the teachings of Lord God Jesus Christ – the revelation of the Absolute Truth

– the writings of the Apostles of the Word–God who explain His commandments by co–relating them to the daily life.

This road leads to the priceless treasure – the everlasting life in the presence of God.

If the one desires to imitate God in His mercy, perfection, and love and to do the works of God as He does, each word of God and each action of God revealed by the Gospels and explained by His Apostles should be the example of excellence that the one should analyze and comprehend and make the very own way of life, thinking, and working.

In summary, the search for the Truth begins within the human heart and mind. If found and accepted as the Absolute Truth, the Word-God leads into the everlasting life and, even within the temporal world controlled by the evil, empowers the mind to create and to disseminate the good with the works that imitate the works of God.

Notes:

*1*
Immortality is presence of God the Spirit within His creation.

The first man was created from dust (γη) and became the living soul because of the breath of God. However, he has to cognize death (as return into the dust from which he was taken), because he hid themselves from the presence of God {Genesis 3} and had no power over evil, which he wanted to know/control.

A new creation –– who is the child of God born of God, because the Word–God  – Λογος, the Universal Code of creation, becomes the essence of this new being, makes him an embodiment of the law of God [[and therefore, incapable of violating the commandments of God]], and enables him to become the dwelling–temple of God  ––  will be empowered to withstand the presence of God through the eternity {John 1; 14; 15; 16; 17; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1; Ephesians 1; 2; Revelation 21; 22}.

According to the Word–God, with coming of the Holy Spirit of God – the Source of divine energies, by the Power/Will of the Almighty God, a new energy–formation comes into being. This creation, the particle of Light {John 1:1–4, 9–13; 9:5; 2 Corinthians 4:6; Revelation 22:3–5}, which is ignited by the Divine Fire {Deuteronomy 4:24; Luke 12:49; Hebrew 12:29} within the structures of the matter, evolves into the stabilized energy system/manifestation of the divine energy of God capable to endure His presence and to operate in His realm where time and other properties of the matter (e.g., disintegration) do not exist {Luke 17:20–21; John 14:1–26; 17:2–26; Revelation 22:1–5}.

Consequently, the mentions of the One Who sows and His seed, fruits of the harvest, the smallest seed, which becomes the mighty tree, and other explanations given by God to His followers {e.g., Matthew 13:3–43; Mark 4:1–20, 26–33; Luke 6:43–45; 8:4–15; 13:18–19; John 15:1–16}, lead to understanding of the process of creation of new Adam {1 Peter 1:23–25; 1 Corinthians 15:35–57; 2 Corinthians 5:1–5} – a child of God destined for immortality.

The Precious Stone

…a Living Stone… elected by God, Precious…

{1 Peter 2:4}

St. Peter the Apostle perceives Lord Jesus Christ as the Living and Precious Stone chosen by God, the Corner–foundation. Those who are drawn to Him,  are being built as the living stones into the spiritual house, becoming the holy priesthood destined to offer the spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Lord Jesus Christ {1 Peter 2:4–6}.

The New Testament books convey the vision of Lord Jesus Christ as of the One Who received everything from God the Father, Who is above all authorities and all powers, Who is the completeness of everything in this world and in the eternity, Who is the Mystery of creation, because God creates everything through Him – through the Word–God, in Whom the creature of dust and slave of the evil may become the child of God called to freedom and perfection, doing the works of God, and immortality. St. Paul the Apostle also (as St. Peter does) likens the Christians to the living stones, from which the οικος – household – of God is built and who already, in this life, become the temple of the Holy Spirit through Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God {John 1:1–18; 3:35–36; 8:31–44; Matthew 5:48; Ephesians 1:3–23; 2:1–22; 3:1–12; Galatians 5:13; 1 Corinthians 6:19–20}.

Although there is no possibility to come to complete knowledge within the time–space–complexity bounded world, although the one sees as through deem glass and walks by faith relying on the “eyes of the heart” more than on the perception of the visible touchable material world, although the one will learn what, in fact, a human being is only after coming in the Kingdom of God, and although the only one thing is revealed is that the one will be the likeness of the Son of God {e.g., in: 1 John 3:1–3; 1 Corinthians 13:9–12}, – still, the Holy Scriptures provide indications with which at least some knowledge concerning human life and evolution can be inferred.

For instance,

man with a body formed of dust became the living soul after God breathed in his face the breath of life

{Genesis 2:7}

the ancient Israelites perceived appearance of God on the Mt. Sinai as the Fire that enveloped the mountain

{Exodus 24:16–17; Deuteronomy 4:11–15}

a human being is not able to see God and live

{Exodus 33:18–20}

Moses perceives God as the Consuming Fire

{Deuteronomy 4:24}

the prophets perceive appearance of God as the Fire melting the mountains and the valleys

{Psalm 17(18):8; 96(97):5; Isaiah 64:1–2; Micah 1:4}

Isaiah the prophet envisions a human being as clay in the hands of the Porter

{Isaiah 45:8–12; 64:8–9}

Malachi sees the One Who as the purifying Fire would melt and purify His people as gold is melted and purified in fire,

and the ones who would be made the possession of God – those pitied by God as son is pitied by his father

{Malachi 3:1–3, 17; then, also in: 1 Peter 2:9–10}

St. John the Baptists speaks of the Word–God as of the One Who will baptize His people by the Holy Spirit and Fire

{Luke 3:16; John 1:26–34; also, in: Luke 12:49–50}

Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, says that He came to cast the Fire upon the earth

{through Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, the Holy Spirit comes and transforms

a creature of dust into the child of God, the one born of God and taught by God –

Luke 12:49; John 1:12–13; 3:3–7; 4:24; 14:15–26; 15:26; 16:13–16}

the Apostles write of the people of God as of the firstfruit of certain creations,  as of the living stones and the likeness of Jesus Christ the Son of God

as of the beings who, because of Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God, have been pitied, forgiven,

and adopted by God the Father to be His Own children, as of the carriers of the Holy Spirit, the temple of God

{James 1:17–18; 1 Peter 2:4–10; 1 John 2:1–12; 4:9–21; Romans 5:1–10; 6:1–23; 8:14–17; Ephesians 2:1–22; 4:21–24}

the Apostles reveal that re–creation of man through the Word–God and in and after the Word–God

{through Whom all is created and comes into being – John 1:1–4; Proverbs 3:19–20; 8:22–36}

is the purpose of God from the beginning

{James 1:17–18, 21–25; 1 Peter 1:10–25; Ephesians 1:1–23; 4:17–24}.

Therefore, the one could infer the essence of human evolution within the temporal world of the matter:

by the Omnipotent Power of the Almighty God the Creator,

which overwhelms all potentials of the matter and might annihilate it by the very presence

at the first stage of creation, the dust (matter) becomes the carrier of life –

the derivative of the life–creative energy issuing from God

then, presence of God transforms (melts and purifies as in fire) the structures of the human essence

(which currently, at the phase of the earthly existence, is soul–heart–mind)

annihilating temporal substances and substituting the indestructible (eternal) energy being – creation of the Word–God,

which St. John the Apostle envisions as the likeness of the Word–God

{in: 1 John 3:1–2; furthermore, the Word–God – Λογος  – is the Holy Wisdom by Whom all is created and exists – Proverbs 3:19–20; 8:22–36; John 1:1–3;

or the One sealed by God – John 6:27; or the Name of God – Revelation 22:3–4; or in other terms, the Code of the eternity}

for the energy structures, which carry on the temporal definitions of the unity of

the source (life–creating energy) and its derivatives (life–carrying matter)

(where temporal means programmed for death/disintegration, or the ultimate cognition of the evil)

and therefore, determine the limited range of existence/life of human being as the unity of a body and the spirit

(the energy and the matter).

About seven centuries ago, in his theological works, which are devoted to the divine energies of God and which illustrate achievements of the Byzantine theological thought, St. Gregory Palamas (1296–1359) likens dwelling of the Holy Spirit in man to deification, or, in St. Gregory of Nyssa’s definition, to the process resulting in transcendence of human nature:  “the mortal becomes immortal, temporary becomes the eternal.” Similar vision, also referred to by St. Gregory Palamas, belongs to Maximus the Confessor who writes about the “Λογος of the eternal life carrying God” Who is conveyed to those who by the nature have beginning and the end, but who by the Grace of God become infinite and immortal [St. Gregory Palamas (2010); (1974) §11–§12 121–122; St. Gregory of Nyssa qtd. in: St. Gregory Palamas (1974) §12 122].

Therefore, if to summarize the knowledge given in the Holy Scriptures in secular – for instance, philosophical and systems – terms, the essence of transformation of the temporal into the infinite and the mortal into the immortal (or the intended for disintegration into the indestructible) might be described (by the term at the different levels of complexity) as evolution, modification, or re–creation of the life–form initiated by the will of its Creator. The evolution (or modification, or re–creation) empowers transfer into the realm that accommodates life–forms at other levels of complexity:

the temporal matter

{χουν απο της  γης – the pouring dust of the earth – Genesis 2:7}

that was created to carry the life–bearing energy at the lowest levels of complexity

[[in this case, complexity might be seen as an ability to actualize the energy potential at the different levels; for instance, within the temporal

and restricted settings – time–space–physical parameters that control functioning of the matter at the planet earth, and in the limitless spiritual life of man]]

is transformed into the derivative of the Code of the eternity –

in image and likeness of Λογος, the Word–God

{a new being created after the likeness of the Word–God – John 1:12–13; James 1:17–18, 21–25; Ephesians 4:21–24}

is empowered to accept the divine energy of creation that re–creates/modifies the fundamental life–sustaining structures

{is baptized with the Holy Spirit and Fire – Luke 3:16; 12:49–50; John 1:26–33}

enabling manifestations of the highest potency and power, which can be revealed even within the limits of the time–space–matter

{e.g., the miracles of faith – Matthew 14:22–32; 17:20; Luke 17:5–10},

and

that makes the derivative – a new form of life – infinite–immortal–indestructible

and capable of existence within other realm

{in the realm of God the Spirit, the Creator of Life – in the Kingdom of God:

John 1:12–13; 3:3–6, 36; 11:25–26; 14:1–3; Revelation 21; 22; Daniel 7:9–10)

is enabled to actualize the increased energy potential

that within the limited time–space–complexity settings [[earth]] is manifested as knowledge and love of God,

imitation of the perfection of God, and, in some cases, even demonstration of the transcendent abilities,

for instance, such as knowledge of the future, clairvoyance, healing, and other “works of God”

{e.g., in: Mark 16:15–18; John 14:12; Acts}.

Everyone who claims his road to God comes to a particular – personal – vision and comprehension of God, yet the essence is always the same: God of the Holy Wisdom, the Perfect and Almighty God Who creates all through His Word – Λογος, Αγια Σοφια – Whom we know as Lord God Jesus Christ, and Who reveals Himself to His people as the Perfect Almighty Love with Whom there will be no sorrows, death, and suffering {John 3:16–18; 13:34–35; 14:21–23; 15:9–12; 17:21–26; 1 John; Revelation 21:3–7}…”

3/ In general, στερεωμα is the framework or foundation for the set of energy fields made for transformations of the divine energy into a particular structured matter (e.g., water of the sea, dust of the land), the components of the world accommodating existence of mankind. Στερεωμα of this world is a particular manifestation of the universal order/arrangement/code that sustains/defines/creates divisions among the energy fields allotted for the cycles of energy transformations creating the perceivable structures of the matter at different levels of complexity. Life of the particular beings – inhabitants of the world composed with the structures of the matter – is possible only under the Heaven, within the στερεωμα – fixed arrangement of the energy fields with the limits, which humans measure with such parameters, for instance, as pressure, temperature, light, darkness, radiation, and so on – see the Pattern #11, Folder Systems, Page_4.

Στερεωμα of the human soul is the Word–God – the knowledge of God: His Law, His will, His commandments, His Perfection, and His Love and mercy – the Absolute Good that is the everlasting life {John 17:6}: this knowledge makes possible life by the Holy Spirit, therefore, empowers a human being to live eternally in the presence of God from Whom the Holy Spirit comes {John 14; 15; 16; 17}.

ιασατοderivative of ιαση and ιαομαι – healing, correction, restoring whole

The Ultimate War

…for our fight is not against blood and flesh,

but against… the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age,

against the spiritual of the evil…

{Ephesians 6:12}

Revelation of the Absolute Truth*1* simultaneously initiated the ultimate war*2*. Since, this war is raging gathering its harvest of death. According to the Holy Scriptures, it will be completed with annihilation of the world, in which man has to actualize his knowledge and to make his choice of the good and the evil, and in which the evil has been empowered {Matthew 15:13; 23; 24; John 3:1–21; 8:31–47; 12:37–41; 14; 15; 16; 17; 2 Peter 3; Revelation; Genesis 3; Isaiah 6:9–10}

a/ to tempt the weak ones who have chosen the road without God

and made their heart–mind spiritually deaf and spiritually blind,

so, they became incapable of perceiving the words of God

and they do not seek the Absolute Truth:

they closed themselves for cognition and acceptance of God and therefore,

they lost the access to the life–maintaining energy that might be given only by the Holy Spirit,

Who a human being receives only from God the Father and only through Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God

b/ to enslave those who became violators of the commandments of God:

the sinners that devoted themselves to the works of the evil

and who have been transformed into “the offspring of vipers” – the sons of the arch–evil,

hypocrites who pursue doctrines of men instead of the commandments of God,

the apostates, and all the others who are not of God*3*

c/ to consume those who consummated self–condemnation

by turning away from the Light leading into the eternity with God,

and who therefore, lost the authority to survive*4*

Because of the pre–destined end of this war – the end of the mankind’s world, the one could define it as the ultimate war.

The Gospels {Matthew 27:1–31; Mark 15:1–20; Luke 23:1–25; John 18:28–40; 19:1–16} describe the beginning of the end, when the ultimate war became manifest and the world controlled by the evil and death entered the last phase of its existence. At this moment, Pilate the Roman and the heathen

meets Jesus Christ Who is delivered by the Jews

– “His Own people and even chief–priests” –

to be executed, although He is an Innocent Man,

makes attempt to release the Innocent Man

condemns the Innocent Man to be crucified.

There are four apparent participants of the event: Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Whom the people perceive as the Son of man, Pilate the Roman governor of Judea, chief–priests, and the crowd of people headed and stirred by the chief–priests.

The disciples of the Lord are not seen and not heard although they are present among the others – they are witnesses and they would describe the event later. Probably, they are terrified and silent because of fear and lack of faith: indeed, their entire world arose against their Teacher and Master, and it is not in their power to change the course of event, to calm the rage of the crowd, and to protect Him Who they followed as the Son of the Living God {John 6:68–69}, yet Who was betrayed into the hands of His enemies and Who, now, is apparently defenseless. Their time to manifest their faith and to act*5* did not come yet; awhile, they are at a distance {Matthew 27:55–56; Luke 23:49; 24:1–49; Mark 10:32–34; 16:6–20; John 18:3–9, 15–40; 19; 20:19–31}.

Behind the brief description of the participants of the event, their words and actions, is the final encounter of the worlds that both may be the destiny of man.

The stage of the event is the temporal world of the material things, into which man was cast out to complete his knowledge of the good and the evil with own death {Genesis 2:15–17; 3:1–25} and to make the choice that defines his eternal destiny

either

the good – obedience to God and His law, and acceptance of His blessings

carrying life, health, prosperity, and abundance of all things

or

the evil – rejection of God, violation of His law,

and acceptance of the consequences (curses) of the perversion

that are always inseparable from violations of the law of God

and that ruin through insufficiencies of all kinds, diseases, suffering, and other calamities,

which culminate in death of men and collapse of their establishments

{Deuteronomy 26:16–19; 27; 28; 29; 30}

This world is represented by Pilate – embodiment of the human secular authority, and by the chosen people and their spiritual leaders – the people to whom Gospels refer to as to the Jews and the chief–priests.

Another world is the Kingdom of God, to which a human being belongs by his birthright, and which the human being, by his own free choice, might either accept and enter or reject and be thrown away, into the darkness of eternal separation from God. The King – the Master of the universe and the Redeemer of man – is Jesus Christ, the Holy One of God, the Word–God Who became man to give men the eternal life: the knowledge of God and the Word–God Whom He sent {Matthew 8:29; Mark 1:23–25; John 1:1–18; 3:16–21; 10:30; 14; 15; 16; 17; 1 Peter 1:3–25}.

He, the Son of God, came to witness the Truth and therefore, to open His Kingdom for His creation. The road into His Kingdom leads through acceptance of God as the Absolute, perception of His excellence*6*, understanding that He is the Truth, the Life, the Light, and the Way of man. If taken, this road*7* might be completed with eternal life in the presence of God. Now, He faces those who initially were chosen to learn His law and to become the model for the entire mankind. Their judgment and judgment of this world has come, and soon, by the will of God, His Truth will be confirmed {Matthew 26:39–45, 53–54} with the agonizing death of a tortured human body elevated on the cross – the instrument of death invented by the cursed perverts*8*  who attempted to defy God the Creator of life.

Since, His Truth is the Life for the chosen ones who are empowered to see the Eternal Kingdom beyond the death of the crucified and lifted over the crowd Body of the Innocent Man – apparently, just the One of many who were murdered by human justice; in fact, the Holy One Who conquered the world of the evil, which is destined to vanish {Luke 23:33–43; John 3:14–21; 8:28–29; 12:30–33; 14:30–31; 16:33; 1 John 5:1–5; Revelation 21:1–8, 24–27; 22:1–5, 12–15}, and which therefore, is irrelevant for the ones who are living by God.

The chief–priests have condemned Jesus Christ although He is the Innocent and Righteous Man: they are against Him, because He revealed corruption, heresy, and ultimate degeneration of the leaders (the Pharisees, Sadducees, Herodians, chief–priests)*9* of the people who were chosen to be the holy nation of priests of God the Almighty, yet who became the servants of the arch–evil and who want to destroy God, because there is no place for His Word within them. They became partial in His law and then, rejected it for the sake of worldly advantages: they are not able to come to His Light. They incite the people’s rage, urge them to demand execution of the Innocent and Righteous Man: they are the fulfillment of the prophesies concerning the blind leaders and degraded priests who ruin people {Isaiah 9:13–16; 29:13–15; 30:1, 9–14; 65:15–16; Malachi 2:1–9; also in: Matthew 15:12–14; 23; John 8:12–59; 3:10–21; 12:42–43}.

Answering the question of Pilate concerning the crime of which they accuse Jesus Christ, the chief–priests tell that He perverts the nation and stirs the people by teaching {Matthew 4:23–24; 5:1–48; 6:1–34; 7:1–28; Luke 6:17–49}, He calls Himself a King {John 6:14–15; 18:37–38}, and He forbade to pay tribute (taxes) to the Caesar {Mark 12:13–17;  Luke 23:2; Matthew 22:15–22}. Ultimately, they state His main “crime” {John 19:7}: they have the law {the rules of men invented instead of the Law of God as well as the den of robbers instead of the temple of God – in: Matthew 21:12–13; 23:23–35; Luke 16:13–17; Isaiah 29:13–15}, and according to their law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God.

However, the actual criminals are the very accusers – the chief–priests: they condemned to death the Innocent Man, because He revealed the corruption, heresy, and ultimate degeneration of the ones who assumed authority over the chosen people. In them, the evil achieved its full potency: the substitution of the main attributes of the arch–evil (malice, hatred, envy, heresy, idol–worship, the rage of the beast, iniquity, hypocrisy, and injustice) for the main attributes of the chosen ones who are expected to be an embodiment of the good (mercy, faith, righteousness, knowledge of the law, and justice).

The crowd headed by the chief–priests calls for freeing the criminal who awaits execution for murder and rebellion and for crucifixion of the Innocent and Righteous Man Who fed them when they were hungry, healed their sick, resurrected their dead, taught them to love their enemies, and told all those who desire to follow Him to be merciful and perfect as God is merciful and perfect, to love the others as He – the Son of God – loves, and to do the works of God as He  – God – does*10*. Yet, now, they have no memory of His mercy, the miracles that He created by the power of God, resurrection of Lazarus, and even of their recent celebration of His entry into Jerusalem {John 12:12–19}. Following their leaders, they request clemency for the criminal and murderer and demand execution for the Innocent Man. Now, their transformation into the enemies of God is completed: they are incapable of listening Him, they are not able to comprehend His words, because they do not have the place for His Word within; they want to murder Him {John 8:31–59; 10:27–39}, because their world is not compatible with His world – with the Kingdom of God. They received the Law with the service of the angels, yet, were not able to keep it: they opposed the Holy Spirit, murdered the messengers and prophets of God, and now, as the Lord foretold, they are ready to murder the Son of God Himself {Matthew 21:33–41; 23; Acts 7:51–54}.

Pilate the governor of Judea occupied by the Roman Empire speaks of himself as of the one who has the authority to crucify and the authority to release. He, indeed, holds the highest civil authority – the authority over physical death (that is the Pilate’s authority to crucify): the access to the physical force that empowers the ability to inflict death on the others (to murder, to assassinate, to kill, to execute), so life of a human being within the visible real world of the material things might be finished.

Pilate knows that He is betrayed because of envy of the chief–priests who now urge the people to request release of the criminal {in: Matthew 27:15–26; John 11:40–53; 12:9–19, 42–43; 18:38–40}. Pilate is the ruler endowed with responsibility for social and political stability, order, and human justice in Judea: the land and the army to stabilize the people of the land are given under his full authority by the Roman emperor. Thus, Pilate should be a professional soldier well informed in the Roman law. From Pilate’s professional point of view, the Man – Jesus Christ – has not committed any crime.

However, after attempts to save life of Jesus Christ by convincing the accusers that they demand execution of the Innocent Man and their King, Pilate condemns Jesus Christ to be crucified, because

1/ the fear that the Roman emperor might be informed that he defends the pretender on the emperor’s authority: the Jews cry out that if Pilate releases Him, he is not a friend of Caesar, because everyone who makes himself a king, speaks against Caesar. Furthermore, answering the last question of Pilate “Shall I crucify your King?” the chief–priests tell that they have no king except Caesar {John 19:12–16}. Their answer and their behavior expose that they

a/ for the sake of own purposes {John 11:47–48; 12:42–43} eagerly elevate the authority of earthly ruler (in this case – the Roman emperor, their conqueror and the first enemy) over the authority of God and His law {as it began in: 1 King 8}

b/ they prefer the earthly authority over people to the righteousness and justice {John 11:43–53; 12:9–19}

c/ with their utter hypocrisy, they set the trap for Pilate: they imply that if Pilate releases the Innocent Man, they are the friends of the emperor, yet, Pilate is his enemy

2/ cry and outrage of the mob stirred by the chief–priests, which already became the unrest and which could grow into the rebellion followed with death of many (including the Roman soldiers under authority of Pilate).

The brief encounter of Pilate the governor with Jesus Christ, the Word–God, is the last step before the final revelation: what is the good and what is the evil, what is the meaning of the true authority, who is the True King, and what is the Truth {John 19:7–30}.  Since, for the one who desires to know the Truth, there is no unrevealed knowledge, there is nothing left {Matthew 27:50–53} that could veil the Absolute Good and to conceal the evil.

By the will of the Almighty God, the ultimate meaning of His Truth and the Omnipotent Power of God the Spirit {John 4:23–24} within the world of the material things has to be revealed through giving men the free choice of the good and of the evil completed with the authority of man over physical life of the Son of God: either to follow the Word–God and live by Him or to reject Him and die. The moment of condemnation of the Innocent Man, the Son of God, is the moment when the quest of mankind is completed: everything reached its full potency, everything came into the focus, and man meets his ultimate trial, which has to reveal the ultimate human worthiness, justice, actual worth and reliability of human establishments*9*.

Since, the one who reads the Gospels, desires to follow Christ, seeks the wisdom to comprehend and to observe the words of the Word–God, and begins to live by Him, passes through the ultimate trial – choice of the good in spite of the worldly power of the evil – and perceives the true essence of condemnation and execution of the Son of God. If the one withstands this trial, for him, there is no place left for any doubts and misinterpretations, and there is no stone left unturned in futile constructions of men; he is one of those who are His Own from the beginning of time, yet who were lost within the world of the evil and death. Now, he is empowered to recognize Him, to comprehend and accept the ultimate Truth as the very own life, and to come home {John 1:1–51; 10:1–38; 14; 17; 19; James; 1 Peter; 1 John}.

Almost two thousand years passed since the day when the Son of man was crucified and the Son of God redeemed a human being from the slavery of evil and gave man the authority to become a child of God. Since, many generations read the Gospels, made their inferences, and learned their lessons.

So, what are these inferences and lessons?

Are they universal or they speak to the one at the level of his mental development–evolution, consistently with his own past and present, within his own conditions of life, and for a particular future?

Ultimately, what is the main truth of Christianity?

Among the most obvious inferences, many identified futility of human justice, which can be easily converted into the ultimate injustice, when the ignorant lynching mob stirred by criminals under the mask of spiritual leaders kills and destroys everything that stands for freedom, justice, virtue, and truth.

Many, through own suffering and because of inflicted on them injustice, have learnt that the righteousness, justice, and truth might not coincide with the material values on which the establishment (state, empire, civilization) is built and that among rejected moral values the first is inappropriateness of evaluation of man by his price on the slave market or by his material possessions.

However, the last moments of earthly life of Lord Jesus Christ – the Son of God, the Word–God Who became Man – give the comprehensive knowledge to those who want to accept it. The lessons which the one might learn are comprehensive, because they expose the truth for the sake of which the Eternal Word–God was sent by God the Father {John 18:37–38} into the temporal world arranged for cognition of the good and the evil, so the quest of His creation might be completed {Genesis 3:23–25; John 3:14–21; 17; 18; 19}.

The first of them is the lesson of mercy: human justice must not inflict death on any human being, because

a/ mercy is above judgment*11* – mercy (as well as truth) is the attribute of the Perfect God and ultimate judgment belongs only to the Word–God {Matthew 7:1–5; 9:13; 12:7; Luke 6:35–37; 2 Corinthians 1:3; Hosea 6:7; Psalm 84 (85):10}

b/ a human being is created in image and after likeness of God and bloodshed is forbidden by God; each time when a human being or human establishment murders another human being, the murderer defies God and attempts to exterminate Him, to make Him irrelevant to the world of His creations, to establish the evil at the place of God, and to make the evil the force that controls the world of men through incessant chains of acts of evil and injustice. Each murder initiates the next cycle of violence and follows by retribution, and any one who takes the sword will die by the sword {Genesis 9:5–6; Exodus 20:15; Deuteronomy 5:17; Matthew 26:47–52}: the committed evil, whatever embodiment this evil takes, turns against the one who has unleashed it.

In brief, murder is the most common rite of idol–worship – the worship of death. This idol–worship was invented by the ancient heathens*12* and since, the heathenism became the framework of knowledge within which totalitarian regimes of the twentieth century (communism, fascism, nazism) came into the reality and, with their massacres, mass executions, and concentrations camps, consumed life of the uncounted multitudes

c/ human judgment can never be trusted: the history has plenty of cases, when the innocent men have been executed for the crimes they never committed, while the criminals were set free because of political and other reasons. Any political, social, and religious establishment considers the one who thinks differently [[that is whose values and comprehension of the world differentiate from those established by the opinion–makers/ ruling/controlling group – spiritual and secular leaders]] as the worst criminal and attempts either to exterminate him or make him irrelevant by any means available.

However, does any human being/group/establishment have the right to assert own vision/interpretation of the truth as the absolute for all the others?

Only God is Truth: God is the Absolute Truth of man*1*. The answer to the Pilate’s question “What is truth?” is simple: God is the Truth {John 14:6}. The Truth for the sake of which the Word–God came into the world might be summarized in one comprehensive all–embracing postulate: God is the Absolute Good of man.

God is the Absolute Good of man:

God is the Perfect and Omnipotent Love that encompasses every creation

that loves God the Creator and embodies His Law/Word

into own thoughts, words, and deeds

the knowledge of God and His Word is the eternal Life

God is the Omnipotent Wisdom – the Light

that eliminates ignorance of man and dissipates fog of inability of perception of Truth

God is the Almighty Power – the Spirit of Truth

that empowers man to do the works of God

God is the only Source of virtue, righteousness, justice,

and therefore, excellence and perfection of God is the only Criterion of judgment

for man’s comprehension and evaluation of the world and of his own life

God is the only Model for imitation of mercy, perfection, love,

and the works of God

therefore, God is the Absolute Truth

and

the all of man.

It might be concluded that the Christian teachings is the revelation of the Absolute Good – the knowledge of God – accomplished by the Word–God, Lord Jesus Christ Who refers to the knowledge that He gave man as to the eternal life {John 17:1–8}.

The issuing philosophical system*13* that is based on the theological doctrine of the Absolute Good is the philosophy of the Absolute Good*14*

The first practical inference from the main truth of the Christianity is the irrelevance of the evil: the evil does not exist in the presence of God and the evil does not have place in the Kingdom of God {Psalm 33(34):16, 21; Revelation 21:3–5}; therefore, the evil is irrelevant.

Consequently, the one, who loves God and desires to follow God, excludes the evil from own life: he – purified, healed, and empowered by the Word–God –makes the evil irrelevant even here, within the world controlled by the evil. The work of the evil begins at the levels of heart and mind*15*, through thoughts and intentions of man, and if the mind has no foundation, which is unsusceptible to the evil, intolerant to the evil, and unreceptive to the evil. Such foundation is the framework based on knowledge of the Absolute Truth, the knowledge of the Word–God: the only knowledge that makes human reasoning omnipotent, unassailable, and invincible.

Consequently, the ultimate war is the war with the spiritual evil – the arch–evil that is materialized into the events and the material things of the temporal world through which, with which, and because of which human beings deceive, defraud, deprive of life–sustaining reserves, enslave, inflict suffering, diseases, and assassinate each other.

Whatever human beings do through their establishments, whatever wars, campaigns, teachings, doctrines, ideologies, religions, laws, beliefs, sciences, global and other initiatives they accept as the means to decide the problems of mankind, whatever they do to themselves and to the others – still, they have no power to achieve the optimal conditions of life and evolution.

Moreover, the overall sum of human suffering, grief, degeneration of nature, collapse of the natural ecological systems, and worsening of conditions of life increases daily.

Today’s wars, conflicts, suffering, and delusion of men – because of ruthless cruelty, savage inhumanity and absence of justice, power of reasoning, and mercy – already reached the unprecedented scales. There is no ground for the hope, no justified belief into the abilities of the contemporary political, religious, and social structures, which are rotten and collapsing because of incompetence and corruption of their leaders and subordinates at all levels of their hierarchies, to alleviate suffering and crises of humanity, to restore physical and mental health of the many ruined by corruption, inhumane conditions of existence, pollution of the nature, and cruel treatment, and to bring justice, prosperity, and peace to long–suffering, impoverished and depraved of human dignity people in all regions of the world: Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa, Americas.

The main reasons behind suffering and inability to decide the grave problems of mankind include

a/ enslaving to the evil

b/ absence of knowledge of God and lack of faith

c/ rejection of the law, love, and mercy of God.

These reasons are the roots of all material and spiritual problems of mankind. Furthermore, there is no possibility to eliminate these roots with the material things, events, and means – moneys, weapons, establishments, politics, and therefore, to win the war for continuation of existence of mankind, for establishing conditions of life appropriate for the beings created in image and likeness of God.

This war might be won only with the absolute weapon.

*13* Theology is knowledge given by God {John 17}, therefore, the foundation of life, therefore, the framework for all knowledge of a Christian. The overall position of the Christian Church to application of philosophy for creation of theological knowledge in: 1 Corinthians 1:18–31 and Colossians 2:8–23. The summary: philosophy is not admitted for theological studies – it is the product of human mind; philosophy as the source of theology brings forth only heresy [[as Tertullian says, heresies are “equipped by philosophy” [On The “Prescription” of Heretics]]].

Philosophy is just one of the derivatives of the theology.

Philosophy belongs to the practical level: it underlies life of a human being within the world of the matter. In general, philosophy could be seen as the set of tools, techniques, criteria, and rules of creation and interpretation of knowledge of the lower levels of the cosmos – the world of the matter and organization of human life within it, which the mind employs in its efforts to survive, to accomplish own purposes, to actualize own nature, and to dominate the world – for arrangement of social, political, educational and other establishments that should accommodate life and facilitate evolution of men. Excerpt

Man has the unlimited abilities of comprehension of the perceivable world in which he comes to existence, lives, and dies. However, anything beyond the world given into the dominion of man is closed for comprehension until transformation (physical death) or transfer into another mode of existence {Deuteronomy 29:29; 1 Corinthians 13:9–13; 15:42–43, 50–51, 53}. It means that the mind comprehends the work of the universal Law only at the levels allotted for the mind’s existence. For example, theology or the knowledge of God provides the overall framework for existence of the human reasoning–intelligence. The mind employs philosophy to transform the theological knowledge into the philosophical doctrines, which explain the world and provide the foundation for the methods of inquiry and research, for instance, such as the systems theory and the systems logic. The correlation–link sustaining optimal work of human intelligence is simple:

1.Theology 2. Philosophy 3. Logic.

Knowledge of God results in knowledge of own nature; this knowledge originates philosophical outlook–positioning within the world; then, the mind defines own methods of cognition and actions. The problems appear when these links are broken, or when philosophy, instead of interpreting theology into daily life of man, begins to produce theological knowledge that is to fantasize about God. Fantasizing about God (use of imagination for creation of knowledge of God) is the most dangerous kind of perversion, which sustains the idol–worshiping worlds of heathenism, mysticism, and other sources of false theological knowledge: the entire history of mankind confirms that the false knowledge is the deadliest weapon of destruction…”

The  Absolute Weapon

…Not by the great power, nor by might, but by My Spirit,

says the Lord Almighty…

{Zacharias 4:6}

…take… the sword of the Spirit that is the word of God…

{Ephesians 6:17}

…a sharp, two–edged sword proceeding out of His mouth…

…were killed with the sword of the One… having gone out of His mouth…

{Revelation 1:16; 19:21}

Many centuries the people believed that they can cognize the power of the Almighty God through material things, their change, their destruction, or their absence: flood, wind, devastating earthquakes, attacks of wild beasts, wars with enemies, famine, drought, plagues, fire, and the others, which ruined houses, cities, and human bodies, and through which suffering, insufficiencies of all kinds, and ultimately, death, came upon the sinners and idol–worshipers.

However, is it possible to comprehend the power of God the Spirit {John 4:23–24} through the forces of the nature and the material things?

When Elias the prophet*1* sought presence of God {3 Kings 19:1–13}, after forty days and forty nights of journey through the desert, he entered the cave at the mount Choreb. Then, he was told: stand before the Lord on the mountain – the Lord will pass by. It was the great and strong wind rending the mountains and crushing the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind, it was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake it was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. After the fire it was a voice of the gentle breeze, and Elias covered his face and listened to the voice of the Lord.

Then, it was told {Zacharias 4:6}: not by the great power nor by might – by the Spirit says the Lord Almighty.

Hence, the forces of nature as well as any material objects are incapable to reveal the entire power, might, and omnipotence of the Creator – even if the mountains are melting as wax from the presence of the power of God, armies and titans are powerless, and all the nations are counted as a drops from a bucket: they all are nothing and counted as nothing {Isaiah 40:15, 17}.

The main lesson of the Old Testament had to be the understanding that not by bread lives man but by each word coming from the mouth of God, that all the material might is nothing before the invisible non–cognizable Almighty Omnipotent God.

Although God’s terrifying power was manifested by the deliverance from the slavery in Egypt, exodus, destruction of the pharaoh’s army, which was the mightiest army known to ancient Israelites, the mountain that was engulfed in flame because of presence of God, water given from the rock, and through other miracles during the journey to the Promised Land {Exodus; Leviticus; Numbers; Deuteronomy}, the fear of disobedience to the Source of such great power was not all that the mind should obtain. The mind, which began evolution–ascent to the immortality in the presence of God while immersed into the world living by the material things, had to commit the breakthrough: it had to comprehend futility of the visible might of the structured tangible matter arranged into formidable armies and splendor of kings and idols. Then, the mind would be empowered*2*

a/ to seek the knowledge of God

b/ to discover the true source and to comprehend the true essence and true value of material things

c/  to focus own heart–mind on the law of God

and to arrange own entire life by the law of God.

Then, such a mind would be prepared

a/ for understanding that only by the Spirit and in the Spirit and Truth,

the one could worship God the Almighty Spirit

b/ to perceive and to accept the wisdom, the energy, and the power,

the unity of which is needed for accomplishment of the will  of God

and obtaining the immortality in the presence of God

c/ to perceive God

{Luke 10:22–23; John 4:23–24; 6:28–58; 7:37–39; 8:23–29; 14; 15; 16; 17; Exodus 19:17–21; 33:12–23; 34:1–8;

Deuteronomy 4; Psalm 17(18):7–15; 32(33):16–17; 96(97):1–6}.

The Gospel According to John begins with revelation of the Word–God, Λογος, Who gives a human being the authority to become the child of God born of God: to live eternally, man must be born of the Spirit of God. Furthermore, the One sent by God speaks the words of God {τα ρηματα του Θεου  – John 3:34}, for not by measure God gives the Spirit. In the following chapters of The Gospel, the words of God are defined as the words of the everlasting life – the words of God the Father; they are carried by the Word–God – Λογος, Αγια Σοφια, through Whom all things came to being, and Who gave the words of God to the chosen ones who He planted, so that they would bear the lasting fruits for His kingdom and dwell with God and in God {John 1:1–3; 3:1–21, 31–36; 6:68–69; 15:16; 17; Genesis 1}. In particular,

– Simon Peter the disciple recognizes in Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God, the Lord, Who has the words of everlasting life {ρηματα  ζωης  αιωνιου  – John 6:68–69}

– Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, tells {John 14:7–10; 17:7–8} that

the one seeing Him, has seen God the Father: in the Father He is and the Father is in Him

the words {ρηματα – John 14:10}, which He speaks to them, He speaks not from Himself,

but the Father Who abides in Him, He does the works

His disciples have known that all things whatever He has are from God the Father,

for He gave His disciples the words {ρηματα – John 17:8} that God the Father gave Him,

so they received them and comprehended that from beside God the Father He came forth.

The Books of the New Testament describe the main condition, because of which a human being could live eternally in presence of God: to be in the state of being empowered to keep Λογος, the Word–God, as

a/ the inner στερεωμα*3* of own soul–heart–mind

b/ the pattern of reasoning/thinking/behavior – creation of thoughts, speaking words, and doing the works

c/ the comprehensive model of life that must be imitated.

Such state is the result of transformation into the likeness of Jesus Christ the Son of God – the Word–God – Λογος, after which a human being becomes a new creation in Christ and by Christ: the one living by the righteousness, mercy, Perfect Love and Holy Spirit of the Creator {Matthew 5:48; Luke 6:27–49; John 6:28–69; 10; 13; 14; 15; 16; 17; James 1:17–25; 1 Peter 1; 1 John; Ephesians 1; 2; Romans 6; 8; 11:36}.

Only the one who has faith and love to God, who follows the Word–God, keeps His words, and embodies them into own life, could be empowered to exercise the authority to become a child of God – a new being created by Christ and in Christ, the one living by God and in God {John 1:12–13; 14; 17}.

With the terms of the daily existence, the one could say that God reveals His work at two levels {John 1:1–34, 51; 3:13–21, 31–36; 5:17–47; 14:11–14; 15:1–16, 22–27; 16; 17}:

1/ the works of the One coming from the heavens, Λογος – the Word-God, through Whom God creates evolving worlds, cosmoses, universes, thinking beings – human hearts–minds: the evolving wholenesses [[realities]] filled with the abundance of life – the co–related–interconnected–interdependent multitudes of living evolving beings [[systems*4*]]

– created, existing, and evolving by developing the highest potency of the good at the different levels of complexity and time–space settings

–  integrated and unified by the Universal Code of life – Λογος, the Word–God, into the evolving wholeness*5*.

All such beings are the actualization–embodiment of the words of God {ρηματα του Θεου, ρηματα  ζωης  αιωνιουJohn 6:68–69; 14:10; 17:8} – the energy entities/codes created/brought forth by Λογος. With these words/codes, the energy fields of the primary framework are created, and within the primary framework {e.g., firmament – στερεωμα*3*Genesis 1:6–8}, the elements of the pool of unstructured energy [[chaos]] are arranged into the living beings and the time–space–complexity settings that sustain their existence*6* and evolution;; for instance, the human mind comes into existence at the earth, and then –

with the knowledge of the Word–God

{the words of God given to the ones who believe and follow God – John 17:1–8},

by the power of the Holy Spirit,

because of Love of God the Father –

↓   ↓   ↓

evolves into the immortal being destined for the eternity with God

{John; 1 John}

2/ within the world given into dominion of man {under the heavens – Genesis 1; 2}, the one, who has been chosen to accomplish the works of God and to dwell in the presence of God through the eternity, who evolved into the likeness of Λογος, the Word–God, and who was born of God {John 1:1–13, 3:1–21, 27, 31–36; 14; 15; 16; 17; Genesis 1; 2} is empowered

a/ to perceive, comprehend and absorb the words of God coming from Λογος, the Word God – Lord Jesus Christ

b/ to act according to the words of God coming from Λογος, Αγια Σοφια with the power–wisdom given by the Holy Spirit

c/ to bring the fruits – results of the works completed according to the will of God: creation of thoughts, speaking the words, and accomplishment of the actions, through which man dominates, controls, and sustains development of the world given into his dominion.

In summary, the one could infer that the words of God are the codes of the eternity and immortality, which, if perceived and absorbed and embodied into own life, even here, at the temporal earth, transform a human being into a new creation – the immortal being created after the likeness of the Word–God, and open for him the eternity with God {as it is written, for instance, in: John 1:1–13; 3:16–21, 31–36; 4:23–24; 5:17; 6:28–69; 10; 13; 14; 15; 16; 17; James 1:17–25; 1 Peter 1; 1 John; Ephesians 1; 2; Romans 6; 8; 11:36; Revelation 21; 22}.

Then, St. John and St. Paul the Apostles write of

1/ the two–edged sword – the sword of the Spirit that is the word of God {ρημα Θεου  – Ephesians 6:17}

2/ the Word–God {Ο Λογος του ΘεουHebrew 4:12–13; Revelation 19:14}

Who has the absolute weapon envisioned as the double–aged sword coming out of His mouth

to make the war {πολεμησω  – Revelation 2:16} against the idol–worshipers

Who judges and wages war {πολεμει  – Revelation 19:11} in righteousness

Who will smite the nations with His sword

Who will defeat the beast and the kings with their armies assembled to make war

with Him Who is the Λογος  – the King of kings and the Lord of lords

Who, with His sword word, will kill the enemies – servants of the beast and rebels against God

{Revelation 1:13–18; 2:12–16; 19:11–21}

St. Paul the Apostle writes {Hebrews 4:12–13} that the Word of God {Ο Λογος του Θεου} is living and powerfully working dissecting miracle even in the higher degree than every two–edged sword and double–fitting completely for definition/analysis/determination of both – soul and spirit, and of both – joint (clamp–link–order) and marrow (core–depths–stronghold) and judging thoughts and intentions of heart. And there is no creature unrevealed before Him: all things are naked and are four–times–split–for–being–observed/tested*7* to His eyes Who is our definition of intellect–reasoning–thinking.

In the time of the Apostles, the double–edged sword is the absolute weapon*8* inevitably bringing death upon the enemy engaged in a face–to–face combat with the warrior who had such sword. The references to words of God as to the sword, and to the Word–God, Whose words are as the double–edged sword – the living powerfully working dissecting miracle [[τομωτεροςdefining/analyzing]], are connected with two spheres of analysis/determination/dissection (soul and spirit; joint/order–connection and marrow/core–depths). In general, the one could infer that the text in Hebrew 4:12–13 refers to the discernment and analysis of compliance of spiritual and material realms, by which and within which a human being exists, to the law of God, to the words of Λογος, the Word–God.

Hence, the one could assume that

1/ when St. Paul the Apostle refers to “both – soul and spirit, of both – joints and marrow” and “judging thoughts and intentions of heart” by Λογος, the Word–God, he speaks of

instant cognition of the actual/spiritual essence behind the cover

{John 2:23-25} –

the appearances of the temporal derivatives of the matter,

which, as the garments of skin {Genesis 3:22}, cover this essence within the temporary settings

[[e.g., time–space–complexity]],

where a being has to accomplish the will of God

test and evaluation of compliance with the law of God

evaluation of the degree of developmentoptimization/evolution

as the result of the past and present thoughts, words, and actions,

and potential–future worth for the purposes of God

and the consequent judgment concerning

maintenance of existence

[[e.g., healing–correction–purification–deliverance–empowerment]]

or

leaving for completion of self–destruction those who reject God and intentionally violate His law,

or

annihilation of those who have no place  in the future

{for instance, taking out their root, as it is said in: Matthew 15:13; John 15:1–2; Isaiah 5:1–7}

2/ the meaning of the double–edged sword ––– the living and powerfully working dissecting miracle that is double–fitting completely for analysis/dissection of both – soul and spirit, of both – surfaces/manifest order (joints) and depths/essence (marrow), and judging thoughts and intentions of heart ––– unfolds as an action of God, which the human mind could be empowered to imitate with wisdom–power*4* received from God for doing the works of God {for instance, see advice of the Apostle in: Ephesians 6:10–18: to be armed with the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, so, the one may be empowered in the Lord and in the might of His strength}.

The vision of the words of God as the absolute weapon could be seen as an auxiliary explanation of the features of the Absolute Truth*10*, by which the one lives, if he is chosen by God. The words of God given through Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, empower the mind to accomplish its main mission: to discern the good from the evil, to choose the good, to make the evil irrelevant, to create the good. Then, comprehension comes that the words of God are indeed the absolute weapon, because they

a/ annihilate the evil in the one’s heart–mind

b/ protect from the spiritual evil, which, in the temporal earth, is empowered to temp/test anyone, to enslave the week ones and sinners in whose heart–mind there is no place for the Word–God, and to destroy the apostates and idol–worshipers – the very own slaves – who rejected True God

c/ secure survival and victory in the ultimate war of the good with the evil

d/ empower to create the good as the works of God {John 14}.

In other words, for instance, language most known to men – the language of war, it could be said that the word of God is the absolute weapon, since, if it’s Source – Λογος – has become the essence of a human being, the being*11* armed with the words–commandments–teachings–knowledge and presence of Λογος could become spiritually invincible indeed. A human being obtains such invincibility, because the heart–mind, which has been transformed into the likeness of Λογος ––– the one that has Λογος, the Word–God, as the definition–framework of own reasoning, and for which the words of God became the definitions of own thinking–actions–behavior–works ––– enters the state of being empowered [[receives wisdom*9*]]

a/ to identify presence of the enemy – spiritual evil – within each word, action, event, and material thing, which could impact spiritual and consequently, physical well–being – own as well as of the significant ones: people and their creations/establishments

b/ to annihilate danger of the spiritual evil by making the evil irrelevant to own spiritual health and safety {Matthew; Mark; Luke; John; esp. Matthew 5:21–48; 6:24–34; 7; 10:24–40}; then, even if the evil destroys a body, such human being enters another phase of existence – the kingdom of God where the evil does not exist.

Only the one guarded and protected with such weapon could be empowered for the eternity in the presence of God {e.g., in: James; 1 Peter; 2 Peter; 1 John; 2 Corinthians 4; Ephesians 1; 2; 5:6–14; 6:10–18; Colossians 2:2–23; 3:1–17; 1 Thessalonians 4}.

In conclusion, the words of God – the words of the Absolute Eternal Truth – carry

life for those living by the commandments of God

and

eternal separation from God (death) for those who reject God and His Law

and who therefore, inevitably become the servant of the evil.

The truth – that by each word of God a human being lives {Matthew 4:4; Luke 4:4; Deuteronomy 6:13; 10:20} – is the same actuality, the same inseparable preexistent condition of life and evolution–development according to the law/will of God for each human being now as it was in the time, when Moses

1/ wrote of the Word–God {John 5:38–47}

2/ explained that the commandment of God is the word (ρημα) in the heart, mouth, and hands of the one to do it

c/ warned his tribesmen that they have to choose either life or death {Deuteronomy 30:11–20}:

life if the one loves God, walks in His ways, and keeps His commandments and judgments

≈≈≈

death if the one goes astray to worship and serve other gods [[idols]].

*3* In general, στερεωμα is the framework or foundation for the set of energy fields made for transformations of the divine energy into a particular structured matter – the components of the world accommodating existence of mankind (e.g., water of the sea, dust of the land). Στερεωμα is the firmament: the framework, which was created by God and within which the evolving world came into being under the Heaven {Genesis 1}.

Στερεωμα of this world is a particular manifestation of the universal order/arrangement/code that sustains/defines/creates divisions among the energy fields allotted for the cycles of energy transformations creating the perceivable structures of the matter at different levels of complexity. Life of the particular beings – inhabitants of the world composed with the structures of the matter – is possible only “under the Heaven” {in: Genesis 1:1–10}: within the στερεωμα, the fixed arrangement of the energy fields with the limits, which humans measure with such parameters, for instance, as pressure, temperature, light, darkness, radiation, and so on.

The same pattern might be discerned in creation of the immortal human child of God. Στερεωμα of the human soul–heart–mind is the Word–God – the knowledge of God (His Law, His will, His commandments, His mercy, His Perfection and His Love – the Absolute Good) that is the everlasting life {John 17:3, 6}.

The eternal life in the realm/kingdom of God Who is the Spirit {John 4:24} is possible only if the Word–God becomes the στερεωμα, within which, by the power of God and because of the will of God, a human being is transformed/re–created into the immortal child of God, the certain firstfruit of creations made in likeness of the Word–God – the Word of Truth {James 1:18; 1 John 3:1–2; Colossians 1:12–22}, the one who lives by the Holy Spirit and who is enabled to withstand the eternity in the presence of God the Spirit {while the Old Testament’s human being is not able to see God and live – Exodus 33:18–20}.

When the one accepts the Word–God, the knowledge that He gives – the knowledge of God (knowledge of the law of God, His will, His commandments, His mercy, His Perfection and His Love – the Absolute Good), becomes the Firmament {Κυριος Στερεωμα μου – The Lord is my Firmament – Psalm 17(18):2} – the foundation–framework–space, in which a human being

evolves into the dwelling of God

is enabled to accept the Holy Spirit of God – the Divine Fire Who ignites the eternal life within the creature of dust

is enabled to enter the eternity in the presence of God.

By Christ and in Christ – by the Word–God and in the Word–God – an immortal human child of God comes into being and will be resurrected for the eternity with God {John 1:12–13; 3:16–17; 11:25–26; 17; 1 Peter 1; 1 John 3:1–3; Ephesians 2:10, 13–22}.

Therefore, when the Old Testament’s prophet tells that God is his στερεωμα {Αγαπησω Σε, Κυριε ισχυς μου. Κυριος στερεωμα μου, και καταφυγη μου, και Ρυστης μου – I love Thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my firmament, and my refuge, and my Deliverer – Psalm 17(18):1–2}, he conveys knowledge revealed by the Holy Spirit {John 5:39; 2 Peter 1:19–21}:  man will live by God, because of God, and in God {John 5:39–47; 6:45–58; 10:11–18, 27–30; 17:21–26}.

*5* The world described in the first and second chapters of Genesis was the evolving reality, because all living creatures received the blessing of God to evolve: they had to increase and multiply and fill their sphere {αυξανεσθε και πληθυνεσθε και πληρωσατεGenesis 1:22}. In addition to the blessing to evolve (to increase and multiply and fill the earth), man was given the purposes και κατακυρειυσατε αυτης – to subdue and to dominate the world filled with the all living creatures {Genesis 2:28}.

Creation of Man –  Page 8_September_October_2013

For the mind that acknowledges and perceives existence of God, as it should be, the contemporary atheistic–materialistic–darwinian ethics–free science, which has to acknowledge the acts of creation that can be done only by the Almighty Omnipotent God the Creator, yet continues to reject knowledge of God the Creator, is exposed as the false “knowledge” – set of groundless assertions without actual foundation: myths, fantasies, lies of the dreaming mind incapable of creation of adequate knowledge of the reality that accommodates life {e.g., in: Isaiah 40:21–26; 59:2–15; John 5:38–44; Romans 1:18–32; Psalm 96(97):1–5; 146:4–8}

*7* The traditional translation [1, 2, 3]* is “all things are naked and laid open to His eyes with Whom is our account.” However, there is an interesting compound word, which has another meaning [[not “laid open/bare”]], as well as some other words, and consequently, the sentence conveys different meaning:

1/ in “παντα δε γυμνα και τετραχηλισμενα τοις οφθαλμοις Αυτου προς ον ημιν ο Λογος" {Hebrew 4:13}, the compound word τετρα–χηλ–ισμεν–α  contains

τετρα–  that means four–; for instance, derivative (qualifying adverb) τετραχη indicates four parts, four manners/ways/methods, four meanings

χηλ-  the root that has such derivatives as  χηλοω – cut , split, dissect, break up, and χηλη  – breakwater, weir, dam

ισμεν- is derivative (plural; present time) of ειδω – to see, test, observe, comprehend, cognize

2/ in “προς ον ημιν ο Λογος” {Hebrew 4:13} – toward us is ο Λογος, the word  λογος in relation to a human being should be interpreted as the definition [[foundation–framework–pattern]] of reasoning/thinking/intellect.

Consequently, the one could infer that St. Paul the Apostle speaks not of things that are “laid open/bare” or “lies bare and exposed,” or “stretched fully open” before the eyes of the One to Whom “we must render an account/give account of ourselves” [1, 2, 3, 4]*. The Apostle speaks of the state of being four–times–split–for–being–tested/being–observed/being–contemplated for the eyes of the Word–God, Who toward us is Λογοςπρος ον ημιν ο Λογος – the definition [[foundation–framework–pattern]] of reasoning/thinking/intellect.

Such interpretation is consistent with the previous sentence {Ζων γαρ ο Λογος του Θεου, και ενεργης, και τομωτερος υπερ πασαν μαχαιραν διστομον, και διικνουμενος αχρι μερισμου ψυχης τε και πνευματος, αρμων τε και μυελων, και κριτικος ενθυμησεων και εννοιων καρδιας… – Hebrews 4:12}, in which St. Paul the Apostle writes of the Word of God – Ο Λογος του Θεου – as of

*8* As soon as St. John the Apostle refers to the multitudes of the armies assembled by the beast and kings of the earth to wage war with the Word–God, and which are to be slain by the double–edged sword of the Word–God {Revelation 1:13–18; 2:12–16; 19:11–21}, the one could infer that the Apostle speaks of the absolute weapon: the mighty armies of the kings of the earth have no defense against it; otherwise, they would not be slaughtered {in: Revelation 19:11–21}.

The Absolute Mercy

…Jesus saw a large crowd and had pity on them,

because they were as sheep having no shepherd.

And He began to teach them many things…

{Mark 6:34}

It happened after the Apostles told Lord God Jesus Christ that Herod beheaded John the Baptist. The Lord went into the wilderness, to be apart. The people gathered in a big crowd, looked for Him, and run to find Him. Going out, the Lord saw the crowd and had pity on them, because they were as sheep having no shepherd. He healed the sick ones and began to teach them many things. When the evening came, and the people were hungry, He multiplied bread and fishes, so, His disciples gave the food to the hungry crowd. Then, He sent out His disciples, and having dismissed the crowd, He went up into the mountain, alone, to pray God. In the evening, He was apart {Matthew 14:6–23; Mark 6:17–48}.

Two Gospels describe the same event, which includes the actions of the ultimate mercy typical for the earthly life of the Word–God. So, what, in fact, did happen, what was it that God has done?

The humans once more time demonstrated their rejection of God: the sinful creatures – servants of the arch–evil, murdered His messenger – the forerunner who was sent to prepare the people for His coming. In the past, many prophets and messengers of God were killed, because they attempted to remind the chosen ones of their high mission. At this time, after execution of John the Baptist – the greatest one of those born by women, the sinners were ready to rise up against God Himself. Lord Jesus Christ left the humans to be apart. Yet, apparently, the human misery, suffering, and affliction cry louder to the Creator than human wickedness does, and God again had mercy on them. God went out, had pity on the crowd, healed the sick ones, taught them many things, and fed them: despite of evil and ruthlessness of men, God committed the comprehensive act of the absolute mercy that satisfied all needs of human body, mind, and soul – He gave the food for a body, knowledge for the mind, and the power to follow Him into His kingdom {John 6; 10; 14; 15; 16; 17}.

Therefore, the absolute mercy of God unfolds as maintenance of temporal life (healing, feeding) for the sake of preparedness to the immortality (forgiveness, illumination by knowledge), empowerment and guidance to the eternal life in the presence of God.

So, God came to the lost and miserable ones, who were as sheep without the shepherd; He came to save them, to heal them, to feed them, to teach them, and to lead them into His Kingdom {Matthew 18:11–14; Luke 5:30–32; John 10:11–16, 27–29; 14:1–4; 1 Peter 2:25; Psalm 118(119):176}:

any sin results in separation of man from God, therefore, in perversion

{the first consequence of sin is separation between man and God – Isaiah 59:1–2},

and ensuing insufficiency of the energy of life

leading to impairment disorder disease of the human mind and body,

which can be healed only if the sinner repents and asks the mercy of God

He forgave sins and healed their consequences –

diseases of mind (e.g., insanity that the people perceived as possession by the unclean spirits) and body,

by giving His divine power of God–Creator –

the power that annihilated the evil–insufficiency of the heart–mind–body

of those who have sinned and became the sick ones

{cf.: Isaiah 59:1–16; Mark 2:1–13, 17; 3:1–6; 5:1–20; Luke 6:17–19; 7:21–22; 8:27–39; John 5:1–17; 9:1–33}

all diseases have the same reason:

insufficiency of the life–sustaining energy

and the ensuing break/impairment of the immune system

He healed the sick ones by giving them the energy of life:

the power emanated from Him and healed the sick ones –

those who touched even only hem of His garment were cured

{Matthew 9:20–21; 14:35–36; Luke 6:17–19; Mark 5:25–34; 6:56}

ignorance makes the mind susceptible to deceit and lies

and therefore, vulnerable to the evil

He taught the truth and knowledge of God –

the knowledge that sets free from sin and leads to the eternal life

{John 8:31–47; 17:1–3; Mark 2:13}.

Therefore, the actions of God toward the sinners and the sick ones reveal all–embracing, comprehensive, or absolute mercy, because they satisfy all needs of a sinful human being:

He forgives sins – the acts of evil committed by a sinner.

His forgiveness eradicates the evil within the sinner’s heart–mind – the evil,

which results in insufficiency of the good and ensuing perversion/degradation

completed with an inability to accept the divine life–sustaining energy

by correcting the perversion/imperfection of sinner,

which made impossible acceptance of the divine energy sustaining life,

He restores the ability to accept the divine energy coming from God

He gives the energy of life

that corrects deviations from the nature (sickness, diseases, infirmities)

and restores mental and physical health

He gives food for a human body, so,

a human being can live and accomplish the purposes of his earthly existence

He opens the human mind for the knowledge of God:

He gives an opportunity

to receive the food of eternity – the Bread of Life  – the knowledge of Himself

and knowledge of God the Father that is the everlasting life.

Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, is One with His Father Who speaks to the human beings, acts, and reveals Himself through His Son {John 1:18; 5:17; 8:29; 10:30; 14:6–11}, and the actions of Lord Jesus Christ convey the perfection and excellence of God the Father; they also show the ultimate mercy, because they are committed in spite of malice, wickedness, and ungratefulness of men:

God

restores mental and physical health of man

[[annihilation of the evil, and resurrection of human nature]]

illuminates the mind with knowledge of truth

gives an opportunity to enter the everlasting life

through acceptance of knowledge of God and embodying it into own daily existence.

However, the actions of Lord God Jesus Christ described by the Gospels lead to conclusion that there is something more than just feeding, healing, illumination by knowledge, and compassion of the Creator toward misery of the sinners.

The actions of Jesus Christ the Son of God, the Word–God exemplify the perfection of God the Father, which the followers of Christ should imitate, and provide the standard of perfection, the model of behavior for Christians {cf.: Matthew 5:37–48; John 13:15, 34–35; 14:12}.

Furthermore, the absolute mercy of God is His presence, with which the sinner receives forgiveness – deliverance from the evil, healing, and energy sustaining the temporal life of a body and everlasting life of the soul.

When God forgives a sinner (who repented of evil he had done and turned to the good) and heals his sickness, He annihilates the evil as the insufficiency of the good (therefore, prevents untimely death–termination of existence because of insufficient life–maintaining energy), and by His divine power, transforms a perverted sick creature into a new being capable of the everlasting life in His presence. Therefore, God gives the absolute good – His presence and love, which are the eternal life for a human being, because they transform him into a perfect being capable of accepting God and living in His presence through the eternity {cf.: Matthew 21:31; Luke 39–43; John 14:23; 17:23–24; James 1:18; Revelation 21:3–6}.

Moreover, from a particular – practical – point of view [[for instance, systems design and maintenance]], the Gospels reveal the practical meaning of perfection within the world of the matter, as the example and guidance for the mind in practical dealings with the material things. For instance, initial conditions [[or degrees of preparedness to collapse–ruin described by διαφθορον pattern*1*]] of particular sinners who receive forgiveness of God determine two sets of actions:

1/ forgiveness with emphasis on teaching making possible the optimization [[such optimization also can be seen as creation of the evolving system through correction of abilities to perceive and to comprehend the new knowledge leading into the eternity]]

2/ forgiveness, healing, and teaching creation of a new being [[or creation of a system empowered to perceive and absorb knowledge, which not only leads to perfection; this knowledge makes possible existence without time–space limits and beyond time–space–complexity settings]].

Although the initial conditions–degrees of insufficiency are different, both sets of actions result in creation of a new being – either already a perfect system or an evolving toward perfection system, because only perfect or evolving toward perfection systems can survive and accomplish the purposes for the sake of which they were created. In both cases, the key–ingredient is knowledge, because a human being is forgiven, healed, and fed in order to be prepared for absorption of the knowledge of God – the Word–God, the Bread of the eternal life {John 6:22–35; 10; 13; 14; 15; 16; 17}.

The Gospels {Matthew 5:38–48; Luke 6:27–38} teach the comprehensive lesson: they reveal that when a human being commits the act of mercy toward another being – forgives wrongdoings, gives food and shelter, cares of well–being and happiness of the other – he imitates God.

So, how the one could imitate the absolute mercy of God?

Within a world of the temporal material things, illumination of the others by knowledge of God is the act of the ultimate, absolute mercy, which a human being may be empowered to accomplish.

In general, the essence of charitable works, education, and other humane and human–oriented actions of men is arrangement of conditions/settings in which another being could develop the highest potential (to evolve into the state of perfection – achievement and actualization of the highest potency of creation of the good). Each act of charity satisfies a particular need (or eliminates a particular insufficiency), which prevents someone from achievement of perfection (especially, as an ability to actualize the highest potency of creation of the good).

Even if the one has limited resources, and even if he is not empowered to heal diseases of mind and body, he still can provide for some needs of the mind or body of the underprivileged or sick or afflicted ones, who are deprived of food, kind attention, loving care, understanding. However, the act of ultimate mercy, which the one could accomplish as imitation of God, is giving the knowledge of the Gospels – the knowledge, which will lead the others into the eternity with God.

If someone identifies himself as a Christian, he should learn the words–commandments–teachings of God, comprehend this precious knowledge, and embody it into his daily life {cf.: John 14:15–26}. Each word and action of God provides the practical guidance – how to think, to speak, to set purposes, to plan and accomplish actions or to restrain from any activity – in summary, how to imitate God, how to accept the absolute mercy of God, how to have the ultimate mercy to the others, how to live and to die in compliance with the will of God.

When the words and the deeds of the Christian lead the others to acceptance of faith in Lord Jesus Christ, the act of the highest Christian mercy is consummated, because within a world of the temporal material things,giving the access to knowledge leading to the eternity with God is the act of the ultimate human mercy, by which a Christian imitates the absolute mercy of God {Luke 6:27–38}.
