The Place of Wisdom and the Order of Reasoning

The Search for Wisdom

Part I. Wisdom and the Order of the Reason

…Whence then is wisdom found?

And of what kind is the place of understanding?...

God has well ordered the way of it, and He knows the place of it…

And He said to man: Behold, godliness is wisdom,

and to abstain from evil is comprehension…

{Job 28:12, 20, 23, 28}

Job the Righteous seeks understanding of the foundations, on which the world of man is established. He observes the world where man searches the limits of the darkness and obtains the means of existence; he concludes that wisdom is neither known to the mortal nor discovered among men. So, Job asks: whence has wisdom been discovered, what is the place of knowledge and of what kind is the place of understanding? Answering own questions, Job says: God has well ordered the way of wisdom and He knows the place of it; for man, θεοσεβεια εστι σοφια, το δε  απεχεσθαι απο κακων, εστιν επιστημη – godliness is wisdom, to abstain from evil is comprehension {Job 28:1–28; επιστημη – knowledge, comprehension, skillfulness; from this word, the term epistemology is derived, which denotes the science of knowledge: the study of theory of the nature, sources, and limits of knowledge}.

Job accomplished the purpose set before the Old Testament’s man: he understood that the highest wisdom is in adherence to God and observance of His commandments, which all are about the good–life that is not compatible with the evil–death. Consequently, Job inferred that abstaining from the evil is the essence of knowledge: comprehension. Furthermore, Job’s behavior was consistent with his understanding and verbal expression of his beliefs.

Job the Righteous was just before God in his reasoning, his comprehension of the place of man within the world given for cognition of the good and the evil, and his understanding of wisdom of man. So, Job’s suffering came to the end*1*: God rewarded him for the steadfast faith, adherence to God, and keeping sanity during the worst time of his trials. Moreover, it is written that he will rise again with those whom the Lord raises up {Job 42:7–17}.

About ten centuries later, Solomon the king in Jerusalem would also search for wisdom, yet his focus would be on the wisdom of the ruler: Solomon asked God to give him a heart to hear and to judge the God’s people. By the mercy of God, Solomon received more than he asked: in addition to the understanding and wise heart, God granted him glory and wealth, knowledge of the foundations and the nature of the world, and even the abilities to discerns the thoughts of man – his wisdom abounded exceedingly the wisdom of the ancients and all the wise men of Egypt. There was no one like him before him, and after him, there shall not arise one like him. However, all the good came to Solomon with the warning that God is with him only if he follows the way of his father David*2* and observes the law and commandments of God {3 Kings 3:5–14; 4:29–34; 9:3–14; 1 Chronicles 29:23–25; 2 Chronicles 1:1–17; 9:21–28}.

Solomon did not comply with the commandments of God and ordinances given through Moses: he disregarded the warning of the consequences of disobedience to the law of God {in: Exodus 34:11–16; Deuteronomy 6:17–19; 7:1–6; 11:16; 12:1–4; 17:14–20; 30:15–20}. For instance, in direct contradiction to the warnings of Moses, Solomon {in: 3 Kings 11:1–13; 2 Chronicles 1:13–17; 9:13–28}

– married daughter of Egyptian pharaoh that was violation of the prohibition to marry the heathens and to turn back to Egypt (probably, he did it for the sake of earthly considerations inseparable from king’s purposes; e.g., such as peace with the traditional enemy of Israel and development of commerce, which were expected to secure survival and prosperity of his kingdom)

– excessively multiplied wealth and horses

– kept the horde of idol–worshiping women and was corrupted by them

– established the places of idol–worship for his heathen wives and concubines.

Definitely, the knowledge of Job the Righteous {Job 23; 24; 26; 27; 28; 29; 30; 31; 32; 42:1–6} was not comprehended by Solomon the king, and Solomon’s understanding*3* eventually, descended at the level, at which it became incompatible with Job’s understanding.

Although Solomon was acknowledged as the wisest ruler and although he obtained knowledge, wealth, power, and glory, which elevated him at the level reachable by none – neither before him nor after him, ultimately, he failed as a person, as a wise man who was supposed to live according to the wisdom that he received from God, and as a ruler {3 Kings 11:1–40}:

a/ as a person, he became a corrupted man and apostate

b/ as a wise man, he disregarded the warning concerning observing the commandments of God and assumed that he would be able to defy the will of God (he even attempted to assassinate his servant to whom God willed to give the most part of the Solomon’s kingdom)

c/ as a ruler, he doomed to collapse his own creation – the state, which he has built: his kingdom was divided and the most part of it was taken away from Solomon’s son and given to Solomon’s servant; only for the sake of David, descendents of David were kept on the throne awhile {3 Kings, esp. 11:9–13, 28–40; 4 Kings}.

What then, was the place of Solomon’s “wisdom,” what was his understanding, if he, after building the powerful and wealthy state (obviously, an optimal – for the Solomon’s times and circumstances/settings – system), was unable to preserve it, so, his descendents did not enjoy the glory, abundance of all good things, power, and independence?  Why Solomon’s “wise heart” of understanding and judgment of men was not sufficient for preservation of the wholeness, prosperity, and might of his establishment – the state/system – that he has built?

Although Solomon wrote that wisdom and knowledge come only from God and that God is everything of man {Proverbs 2:6–10; Ecclesiastes 12:13}, he did not {as his actions illustrate, in: 3 Kings 11:1–13; 2 Chronicles 1:13–17; 9:13–28} take into consideration the difference between the verbal acknowledgement and the actual accomplishment.

In summary, neither wisdom nor knowledge of Solomon was sufficient for achievement of his main purposes (the same purposes for the sake of which all human beings come into the world):

1/ personal development/evolution – Solomon became the corrupted apostate, yet, corruption and apostasy are not compatible with development: corruption is degeneration accompanied by disintegration of the core moral values expressed in personal behavior and attitude to the others; apostasy is the ultimate degeneration of the personal core values expressed in religious beliefs, which determine the essence of character, personality, and person’s value for the others

2/ survival and development of own creation – the state, into which Solomon embodied his knowledge and which he ruled by his wisdom.

Solomon became the first in the long line of kings–apostates who eventually brought the kingdom to its collapse and destruction; his way of cognition initiated the shift, which later would be completed by Herod’s dynasty*4*:

violation of the law/commandment(s) of God →→ collapse →→ disintegration.

From another angle of consideration, it could be inferred that the story of Solomon and the history of a system/state, which he established, reveal the pattern of διαφθορον: the totality of physical, moral, and religious ruin initiated by the apostasy. The διαφθορον pattern describes the utter collapse–ruin of any system, in which alien knowledge takes the place of the original meanings of truth that initially, in the time of the system’s creation/construction, was embodied into

religious, social, political, moral, and other laws, norms, and values

religious, social, political, educational, and other establishments

created to maintain and to protect the system

behavior, interrelations, and other aspects of the daily life of the people

whose existence, prosperity, development, and survival the system is intended to sustain and to secure.

The διαφθορον pattern can be always discerned within the chaotic totality of the events identified as revolution, war, defeat, impoverishment, assimilation by enemies {e.g., as it is in: Deuteronomy 28:47–48}*5*, and overall processes of disintegration of empires, states, and other establishments.

In the empires, states, and establishments created within the Judaic and post–Judaic civilizations, the specifics of processes of initiation, advancement, and completion of collapse are defined by the particular law(s) – commandment(s) of God that men did not observe.

In other civilizations, collapse might be initiated through modifications of the original knowledge that sustains political, social, educational, and protective structures; for instance, introduction of new religions, new cultural and moral values, scientific discoveries, which disprove the original religious and other beliefs embodied into daily life of societies, politics, and so on. In general, the processes of collapse in heathen civilizations are less complicated when a new set of false assumptions accepted as true knowledge takes the place of the original also false assumptions held to be the true knowledge.

However, in both cases, the main goal is destruction of the original system of knowledge that sustains existence of the target (e.g., empire, state; now – the entire current civilization); the most efficient weapon is the ancient techniques of assimilation, with which enemies modify and subdue their targets (components of the system that has to be destroyed).

The stories of Job the Righteous and Solomon the king in Jerusalem teach many things; the first of them could be

a/ comprehension of the place of wisdom and the order of reasoning, which is established through knowledge of God

b/ the difference between the knowledge given by God and the knowledge created by human mind

c/ the meaning of the power, which is bestowed on the mind that obtained the knowledge of God.

So, the questions are:

What is wisdom and what is knowledge?

What is the wisdom, which Job the Righteous sought and of which Solomon wrote {Job; Proverbs; Ecclesiastes}, and what is the wisdom that secures survival of a human being and his creations?

Why possession with unprecedented knowledge, human wisdom, and other advantages did not protect Solomon from the failure as a person, as a wise man, and as a ruler?

What then, is the wisdom that secures survival of a person and the person’s establishment?

Concept of Wisdom, Knowledge, and Reason/Intelligence

οτι χωρις εμου ου δυνασθε ποιειν ουδεν

Apart from Me, you are not able to do anything…

{John 15:5}

Lord Jesus Christ, Who is Λογος – the Word–God, and Αγια Σοφια – the Holy Wisdom of God with Whom and through Whom God creates, Who came to actualize the universal unavoidable and unchangeable Law {Matthew 5:17–18; Luke 16:16–17; John 1:1–3, 10; Proverbs 8:22–31; Ephesians 1:3–4, 10; 2:10}, tells His disciples that without Him, they are able of nothing {John 15:5: οτι χωρις εμου ου δυνασθε ποιειν ουδεν – apart of Me, not empowered to do, nothing}. He came down from the Heaven to do the will of God the Father {with Whom He is One – John 10:30}, and this will is that everyone seeing the Son and believing in Him shall be resurrected and shall have the life everlasting. God the Father is in Him, and He is in Father; He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life; the knowledge of Him and knowledge of God the Father – knowledge that He gives – is the everlasting life, and all who come to God, come only through Him, through the Word–God {John 5:24–30; 6:38–40, 44–47; 11:25–26; 12:44–50; 14:6–12; 17:3, 6–8}.

Hence, the acts of the Word–God, Λογος, Αγια Σοφια, reveal the unity of the Law and the Power that gives everlasting life, enables to create, and enables to accomplish: to bring the fruits – the deeds of love {John 15:1–16; Matthew 21:33–39; Isaiah 5:1–7}. Only the one, who abides in the Word–God and loves Him by keeping His commandments, receives the power to act according to the will of God: to do His works {John 14:11–14}.

To act according to the will of God and to do His works means to know God and to be able to identify and to accomplish the universal unavoidable and unchangeable Law explained by the Word–God in His words and commandments {Matthew 5:17–18, 48; Luke 6:36; 16:16–17; John 1:1–18; 13:34–35; 14:6–11; 15:17}*6*. Cognition of God – comprehension of the Absolute Good of God – should be confirmed through embodiment of the obtained knowledge into the one’s life of mind and body*7*. Accomplishment of the ultimate purposes*8*, for the sake of which every human being comes into the world (to find God, to save own soul, to be born of God, and to obtain the everlasting life), starts with an ability to hear and to perceive–comprehend the words of God: to have the place within {χωρει εν υμινJohn 8:37, where χωρει is a derivative of χωρα (χωρη) – space, place, position, settings*9*} for the words of God, so the life–giving words would work for the good of man preparing him for the eternal life {in: John 6:47, 62–63, 68–69; 8:37, 43, 51; 10:27–30}.

In other words, all begins, if the Word–God initiates life of the one’s intellect–heart–mind, so, for instance, the one could make the immediate inferences from the words of God, starting with understanding that only the one who has become the likeness of the Word–God (by accomplishing commandments of God, by cognition of the Absolute Good of God, and by imitating God) might be enabled to enter the eternity in the presence of God.

When Lord God Jesus Christ speaks of the first greatest commandment, He mentions three components of human essence by the entirety (εν ολη) of each one of them a human being should love God: heart (τη καρδια), soul (τη ψυχη), and mind (τη διανοια)  {Matthew 22:37–38; Mark 12:29–30}.

In The Gospel According to Mark, one more component is named: εξ ολης τυς ισχυος, which is translated “with all your strength” {Mark 12:30; the same is also in Luke 10:25–27, where a person – νομικος, one knowing the law – speaks of his perception of the greatest commandment of God}.

The word ισχυος conveys also meanings of abilities as forcefulness, the power to act [[possession with an ability is inseparable from possession with the power; if a person is able, it means that he has the power to act]], steadfastness (especially, as the strength of mind), might, and invincibility. The entire set of the meanings of ισχυος*10* allows comprehension of the logical block εξ ολης τυς ισχυος as “from/out of the wholeness of might/abilities/power,” as an actualization of the very life/being. The ισχυος, as the power, which is enabling operations of soul, heart, and mind [[in fact, the cohesive power]], unifies the components of the human essence (soul–heart–mind) into the wholeness: the purposeful focused entity that lives by the love of God.

In other words, it might be said that, in his love to God, a human being is empowered to exist as the entirety–unity of heart–soul–mind focused on God; for instance, when David speaks to God Who saved him from his enemy, he speaks of his love to God, Who is his might/power and his foundation, connecting love of a human being–creature to the power and might of God the Creator {Psalm 17(18): Αγαπησω Σε, Κυριε ισχυς μου. Κυριος στερεωμα μου, και καταφυγη μου, και Ρυστης μου – I love Thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my firmament, and my refuge, and my Deliverer}.

One of the attributes of God revealed to man is His absolute power over His creations – the power of the Almighty Spirit {Exodus; Deuteronomy; Zachariah 4:6; John 4:24} before Who all armies, weapons, and other components of human “might” are the particles of dust.

Then, St. John the Apostle conveys the words of God concerning the state of being–existing–dwelling in love of God, and he writes about the Word–God as about the world–saving Love {John 3:16–17; 15:4–6; 17:21–26; 1 John 4:8–17}. The world might be saved only by the power of God Who created it: God the Almighty Love is also the Omnipotent Absolute Power, and, for a human being, to love God means to live.

The key to understanding of the inseparable connection of love to God, power, and life is in the words of the Lord:

– “As loved Me the Father, I also love you; stay (be placed) in love – Me (μεινατε εν τη αγαπη τη Εμη). If you keep (fulfill) My commandments, you will dwell in love of Me, as I have kept (accomplished) the command of My Father and dwell (μενω – to stay, to dwell, to remain, to be unmoved in, to be unchangeable) in love of Him {John 15:9–10}

– “apart of Me, are empowered (ου δυνασθε) of nothing” {John 15:5}.

Therefore, when the one speaks of Lord God Jesus Christ {John 1:1–4, 9–10; 9:5; 10:30; 14:6; 15:9–10; 16:15; 17:21–26}, the Son of God, the Word–God, Λογος, Αγια Σοφια, Who is the Light and the Way and the Truth and the Life, through Whom all that exist came into existence, and Who is One with the Father, the one also speaks of Love as of the Power that creates and sustains life, for instance, ignites life–wisdom of a human essence: soul–heart–mind.

On the basis of The Gospel According to John and other texts of the Holy Scriptures, the Christian theologians [Maximus the Confessor, Thalassios the Libyan, Symeon New Theologian, Gregory the Theologian, John of Damascus, Gregory of Sinai, Gregory of Nyssa, Gregory Palamas, and the others, in: Philokalia; One Hundred and Fifty Chapters; and the others] composed the concept of human intellect, intelligence, wisdom, and knowledge.

In the contemporary terms, one of the inferences from this concept is a supposition that human wisdom is the unity of the will, ability, and power to create the good according to the will of God: to cognize/comprehend knowledge, which empowers the mind to evolve, and then, to embody the acquired knowledge into own way of life and into the world, which sustains existence; therefore, to accomplish the purposes for the sake of which a human being has been created*11*.

A human being might be described as the wholeness*12* – the unity of soul (spirit, heart), intelligence (mind), and body (matter, flesh). The essence of man – the inner man – is soul–heart–mind, which carries the image and likeness of God.

The Greek theologians discerned three parts/components of the human essence, or it might be said that they assumed that the soul–heart–mind operates at three levels: intellect – νους, reason/intelligence – διανοια, and the reasoning, or the faculty of deliberation –  γνωμαφρονημαλογισμος.

The intellect – νους is the highest level of human essence, or “the depths of soul” or the core of “the heart” in different works of the theologians, or, in the contemporary terms, the cognizing core/center that carries life – the power (received from God) to initiate and to control/maintain operations of a system.

By νους, the mind recognizes, loves, and knows God – Λογος, and receives from the Creator the spiritual knowledge – γνωσις and wisdom – σοφια. Both – γνωσις and σοφια – are the gifts of God, with which God’s Love heals, purifies, leads through the path of evolution, and perfects His creation.

The spiritual knowledge – γνωσις – might be envisioned as a result of silent contemplation of God by νους – the core/essence of soul–heart–mind. During this state, the mind accesses the divine energy of creation, which sustains life.

Hence, wisdom – σοφια – might be described as the state–condition–being–existence of being connected with God and absorbing the power/energy, or the state of being empowered with the Divine Energy {as it is said in: Psalm 17(18):2Κυριε ισχυς μου the Lord my strength/power/might}, which is coming from God and which is enabling the human reasoning:

Wisdom empowers/evokes life of the reason

Wisdom makes possible cognition of God’s creations,

comprehension of the nature of the world, nature of its inhabitants, and human nature

Wisdom sustains development/evolution of man and his world

and enables to set the purposes and to accomplish them.

The Reason/Intelligence – διανοια is the state–being of cognition, in which the divine energy of creation received from God is transformed into the human thoughts and human knowledge. Διανοια is translated as the mind {Matthew 22:37}.

It is the ancient prophecy: “I will make a new covenant… I will surely put My laws into their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be to them God, and they shall be to Me a people. And they shall not teach every one his fellow citizen, and every one his brother saying: Know the Lord; for all shall know Me from the least of them to the greatest of them, for I will be merciful to their iniquities, and their sins I will remember no more” {Jeremiah 38:31–36; also ref. in: Hebrews 10:15–17}.

The prophesy has been fulfilled, when Lord Jesus Christ established the new covenant by His Blood {Matthew 26:27–28; Mark 14:24; Luke 22:20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–25} and promised to send the Holy Spirit from the Father to those who love Him by observing His commandments: when the Holy Spirit comes, He teaches all things according to the will of God {John 14:15–26; 16:13–15}.

Since, as St. John the Apostle writes {1 John 2:3–29; 3:1–24; 4:1–21; 5:1–5, 19–21; 2 John 6, 9}, the Christians

love God by observing His commandments

know that they cognized God by observing His commandments

know that their sins are forgiven for the sake of the Name of Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Word–God

through faith in Lord Jesus Christ, overcome the world of the evil

love their brethren and keep themselves out of the evil and sin,

making the evil irrelevant to their soul–heart–mind and body:

to their thoughts, words, and actions

recognize God’s presence through the presence of the Holy Spirit,

because He came and gave them the Light and the intelligence to cognize True God

and to abide in His Son – Jesus Christ, Who is the True God and Life everlasting

by adhering to and abiding in the teachings of Christ,

they have God – the Father and the Son.

The ancient Israelites were told that a human being shall not live on bread alone, but on every word of God {Deuteronomy 8:3; Luke 4:4}. Lord Jesus Christ came to give Himself, the Word–God, as the Daily Bread of immortality {John 6:30–58}.

Since, by the Word–God the soul–heart–mind of a Christian lives, and through Him, obtains the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which for a Christian are more precious than all treasures and values of the physical life. The true – actual – life of man is life of his spirit, not of flesh, because Lord God Jesus Christ said: it is the Spirit that makes alive; the flesh does not profit – nothing! The words that the Word–God gives are the Spirit and life {John 6:63}; by them, a Christian lives.

Consequently, the one can infer that Νους and Διανοια compose the inner space*9* where the promise of God is actualized into the reality of human life and the referred above ancient prophecy {Jeremiah 38:31–36}, as well as others concerning human ascent to God, might be fulfilled

The Word–God creates the foundation – στερεωμα {as the firmament of the new world – Genesis 1:6; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:23–25}*13* within the human essence and gives the knowledge of God that is the everlasting life: on the στερεωμα, by the Holy Spirit, the immortal child of God is created–built–established with knowledge of God, Power of God, and Energy issuing from God {in: Psalm 103(104):30 Εξαποστελεις το Πνευμα Σου και κτισθησονται - Thou shall send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created( established/made); Psalm 17(18):1–2: Αγαπησω Σε, Κυριε ισχυς μου. Κυριος στερεωμα μουI love Thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my firmament; John 1:1–4, 12–13; 3:5–6; 7:37–39; 16:13–15; Ephesians 2:19–22}.

Consciousness/Thinking/Reasoning/Faculty of Deliberationγνωμαφρονημαλογισμος, which, in secular studies, often is referred simply as the mind, is a conceptual, logical, reasoning faculty, through which a human being creates knowledge of the world, imagines things, and enables transmission–sharing–communication of such knowledge.

However, the consciousness–thinking–reasoning might be also envisioned as just a function of διανοια, as a channel, which connects διανοια with the sensory faculty and the world of the matter. The consciousness–thinking–reasoning operates with the knowledge created by διανοια and with information created by the functions of the flesh/matter and received through the senses. From such a point of view, the senses are the channels through which information flows. This information sustains connection of διανοια with the world: the senses supply the mind with information, which is necessary for existence, orientation, evaluation, achievement of the purposes, development/evolution and survival within the world of the matter.

In summary, the concept of human essence (soul–heart–mind) and its connection with God and with the world of the structured matter, which accommodates human existence, might be described with the following chart:

God the Father

Word–God        Holy Spirit

                                  Λογος, Αγια Σοφια      Ο Παρακλητος, το Πνευμα το Αγιον

Human Soul–Heart–Mind

Γνωσις ––––––––––––Σοφια

The reason/intelligence

Γνωμα –– Φρονημα–– Λογισμος

Consciousness–Thinking–Reasoning/Faculty of Deliberation

↓             ↑

Αισθητηρια  Οργανα

Sensory Facility – sensory perception/parameters of the matter

↓             ↑

The world composed by derivatives of the Divine Creative Energy of God:

the set of the energy fields,

which makes possible existence of the temporary structured matter–carrier of life

Accordingly, the entire realm of knowledge that accommodates life of human intellect–intelligence–reasoning consists of three interconnected domains:

Knowledge from above – the knowledge of God

and His laws

(Theology; the levels of Νους and Διανοια)

Knowledge created by the mind;

for instance, knowledge of the world and human place in it

(the level of Διανοια; e.g., Philosophy, Logic)

↓     ↑

Knowledge inferred from the parameters of the world of the structured matter,

which makes possible physical survival

(the levels of  Γνωμα –– Φρονημα–– Λογισμος

and Αισθητηρια  Οργανα;

e.g., natural and other sciences)

The mind, which rejects God, loses the access to the spiritual knowledge and become unable to obtain wisdom; such a mind operates at the levels of Διανοια, Γνωμα ––Φρονημα––Λογισμος, and Αισθητηρια Οργανα, which maintain physical survival. Then, gradually, existence of the mind, which has lost access to the spiritual knowledge and wisdom, becomes limited with the functions, which maintain only physical survival, or life of flesh – sensory faculty and the lower levels of the reasoning, including imagination. For such a mind, materialism becomes the actuality and the way of life*14*.

However, if the mind rejects life of spirit and accepts materialism as the reality, it cuts itself from the life at the level of Νους: it deprives itself of the access to the life–creating divine energy that comes through the Word–God. Then, it feeds itself with self–produced knowledge assembled from the images created with the information received through the sensory faculty. Such way of existence, or living by the figments of imagination, is some kind of spiritual self–eating that, at the level of the structured matter (body), might be likened to self–cannibalism.

The Parable of the Prodigal Son – about the one who left house of the Father, squandered his inheritance and, being in need, longed to fill himself with the food of pigs {Luke 15:11–32} illustrates the case when the energy carried by images of the temporal disintegrating matter takes the place of the energy of life coming from God. Then, only by the mercy of God could such a being come to entirety of human life – harmony of the spirit–intelligence–matter focused on evolvement into the immortal being*15*.

The process of transformation/anti–evolution (or degeneration) of the mind, which originally was sustained by the divine energy–knowledge of immortal perfect God, into the mind, which is sustained by the knowledge of mortal dissipating flesh, is completed, when knowledge of destruction–death (idols) takes the place of knowledge of the actuality–life (true God). The ancient theologians referred to this process as to spiritual death, or transformation into the living dead – the human beast: apostasy signifies the process of spiritual dying.

The mind of the living dead/apostate is transformed into the one walking in the darkness who does not know where he is going, of whom is said that he has ears and eyes, yet is not able to perceive and to comprehend {Isaiah 6:9–10; Mark 4:12; John 12:35–43}; it becomes unable to create the adequate knowledge of life, which can be created only with wisdom. Gradually, such a mind loses abilities

– to comprehend the creations of God

– to comprehend the laws, which control the world of the matter and determine the manner and outcome of life and the time of death/destruction of systems within the world of the matter

– to apply the knowledge of these laws at all levels of complexity, at which a human being operates (own mind, own body, own creations) toward survival, evolution/development, and reaching the optimum – the abundant good for people and systems created by people.

Hence, the set of symptoms indicating that a particular mind is losing wisdom includes a shift of the focus of reasoning*16*, apostasy, loss of adequacy of consideration, and transformation of a creator into a destroyer.

The Place of Wisdom and the Order of Reasoning

A human being has to prepare the place/space/field {χωρει εν υμινJohn 8:37; Θεου γεωργιον1 Corinthians 3:9} for the wisdom coming from God: this place/space/field is the human essence – the soul–heart–mind, or the inner man {of whom St. Peter the Apostle and St. Paul the Apostle write: ο κρυπτος της καρδιας ανθρωπος the hidden heart of man, in: 1 Peter 3:4, and the inner man who is being renewed – ο εσωθεν ανακαινουται  – day by day, while the outer man (body of flesh) is being decayed, in: 2 Corinthians 4:16}, or briefly, the mind.

From the Gospels and writings of the Apostles, the one can infer a distinction between the outer man – a perceivable material object, a man of flesh (that is aged, decayed, and with each day is closer to return into the dust from which man was taken), and the inner man – the soul–heart–mind (that is in a process of preparing for the eternity with God and is being renewed – evolves – into the immortal being). The difference between them is the difference

a/ between

life by the material values*14*, which sustain the temporal existence

within the world of structured and disintegrating matter:

life, which is a precursor of the eternal separation from God

life by the spiritual values, mercy, and love in imitation of the Absolute Good of God

explained by Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God:

life, which is a precursor of the eternal life in the presence of God

b/ between

the one who is focused on the material perceivable objects

and discards the inner (unseen) essence

the one who considers the unseen (spiritual) and everlasting,

and not the seen/perceivable (material things), which is temporary and perishing,

in whom the inner man {in: 1 Peter 3:4; 2 Corinthians 4:16}

who initially, as all living beings, lives by the breath of life coming from God {Genesis 2:7}

ultimately, might evolve into the one living by the Holy Spirit

{in: John 11:25–26; 14:15–26; 17;

1 Peter; 2 Peter; 1 John; 1 Corinthians 15:34–58}.

c/ between

the mind that lives by figments of human imagination (myths and idols)

and worship own creations (idols and myths embodied into human establishments)

the mind that lives by the Word–God and worships God the Spirit

in spirit and truth

{John 4:23–24; 6:44–47; 14:6–7}.

Therefore, the proper order of reasoning is focus on God as on the Source of the very life of man and on accomplishment of His commandments as the only way to survive at the earth and to obtain the everlasting life afterward.  A human being obtains proper order of reasoning if the Word–God becomes the στερεωμα of his soul–heart–mind: the foundation on which a mortal human being obtains the ισχυος – strength, power, steadfastness – to evolve into the immortal human child of God.

From the practical point of view,

1/ focusing on God begins with the choice of the main priorities: either God and His Kingdom or the evil and the eternal darkness. For the one who has chosen life with God, the first step is separation from the works of the evil: as St. Paul the Apostle writes, Let everyone naming the name of Christ depart from iniquity {2 Timothy 2:19}. This processes is completed with the birth from above, when the one becomes the immortal child of God {John 1:12–13; 3:3–7; in John 3:7: γεννηθηναι  ανωθεν (γεννηθηναι as a derivative of γενναω – to give birth, to create;  ανωθεν - above; from the very beginning, primary; anew)}

2/ the birth from above or creation of (becoming) the immortal child of God, means that the inner man – human soul–heart–mind

has rejected the evil

accepted God’s will as the Absolute Power and Absolute Good*7*

is created (made anew) by the Word–God

(that is when, within a human essence,

the Word–God becomes the στερεωμα*13*  of a new immortal world)

receives the life–giving Light of God – His Word, Λογος, the Law/Code of the eternity

absorbs the knowledge of God and Lord Jesus Christ

that is the eternal life {John 17:3},

because the Word–God has become its foundation/framework – στερεωμα,

{Psalm 17(18):2}

and the Word/Law of God, Λογος,  is now its essence

{John 6:53–57; 14:18–23, 28; 15:1–5; 17:3, 6–8, 20–26; James 1:17–18; 1 John 3:2}

is enabled to follow, without any deviation, the will and commandments of God,

which it comprehends, because the Word/Law of God – Λογος,  through Whom God creates,

is now its essence,

and it became the living temple of the Living God

{as it is said in The New Testament; for instance, in: 1 Peter 1:3–25; 2:1–25; 3:10–22; Ephesians 1:3–23; 2:1–22}:

a/ it lives by Flesh and Blood of the Word–God {John 1:1–13; 6:53–56}

b/ its life is sustained by the Word–God

as daily bread and life–giving water sustain life of a man of flesh {John 6:32–58}

c/ it is guided and educated and made alive by the Holy Spirit

{John 14:15–26; 15:26–27; 16:7–11, 13–15}.

Hence, those who have chosen God and His Kingdom, accomplish their way to God by following the Light – the teachings of Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, Who came into the world to guide those who are of God into the Kingdom of God the Father of Lights {John 1:1–13; 3:16–21; 8:12; 9:4–5; 14:6; 17:6; James 1:17–18}*17*. Their search for wisdom and understanding is completed with acceptance of the Word–God Who becomes the στερεωμα of their heart–mind and through Whom they are perfected in love of God and prepared for the coming of the life–giving Holy Spirit and receiving the gifts of God: wisdom and knowledge {Luke 12:49; John 14; 15; 16; 17}, as well as the power to embody them into own life.

Thus, the very beginning of life in God is the moment of acceptance of God’s words as the Absolute Truth and commandments of God as the Absolute Wisdom. Then, love, mercy, and perfection of God, which man should imitate according to the commandments of the Word–God, Lord Jesus Christ {Matthew 5:48; Luke 6:36; John 13:34}, must be acknowledged as the Absolute Good*7*. Then, the degree of comprehension of knowledge of God, that is the degree of evolution of man, is evaluated by the deeds of love, mercy, and assistance to the others that it through creating the good for the others {Luke 6:46–49; James 2:17–26; 1 John 3:14:21}.

In summary,

1/ Wisdom is the power to act in accordance with the knowledge of God, and wisdom is the state, in which man

a/ is enabled to act as the co–worker of God {Θεου γαρ εσμεν συνεργοι1 Corinthians 3:9}

b/ is the God’s field and God’s building/construction {Θεου γεωργιον, Θεου οικοδομη  – 1 Corinthians 3:9} – the space*9* prepared for the works of God

c/ is the creation perfected and empowered by the Holy Spirit, knowing God, and abiding in the Love of God {John 14:15–26; 15:1–17; 17; 1 John 4:7–21}

2/ The knowledge of God might be defined as the state of preparedness to accept wisdom and to act as the co–worker of God: to do the works of God*18*

3/ The place/temple of Wisdom – Αγια Σοφια with Who everything is possible – within man is built through

acceptance of God’s words as the Absolute Truth

acknowledgement of love and perfection and mercy of God as the Absolute Good

Imitation of God according to the commandments of Lord Jesus Christ

that is also embodiment of the Absolute Good of God into virtues, just and righteous reasoning, and love to the others,

so, the Absolute Good of God becomes the Absolute Good of man

creation of the good for the others,

for which man is enabled by the Love and perfection – the Absolute Good of God

comprehension of the Word–God – ΛογοςΑγια Σοφια as the Absolute Wisdom,

as the universal Law/Code by Whom the κοσμος (universe, world, order) of man is established

and new everlasting world – immortal human child of God – comes into the being.

As the one could infer from the Holy Scriptures, the birth into the eternity (or the evolution of a human being – mortal creature of dust into the immortal human child of God)

a/ is initiated by the Light of the world – the Word–God, in Whose name the Holy Spirit of God comes {John 14:26}

b/ might be envisioned as actualization of the same pattern according to which, with coming of the light {Genesis 1}, the κοσμος (universe–world–order) of man was created from the imperceptible unseen prime matter {as it is written in Genesis 1:2: Η δε γη ην αορατος και ακατασκευαστος, καi σκοτος επανω της αβυσσον*19*}.

An application of the pattern of creation of the world to a human being allows comprehension of the inner essence of man, or the human soul–heart–mind, or the mind as the space/field for creative works of God: the universe, within which the new world comes into the being. This world of the inner man is the Kingdom of God {Luke 17:20–21}, which is built by the Light – by the Holy Wisdom of God, the Word–God, and by the Holy Spirit; it grows into the eternity as the mighty tree grows from a small seed cast on the earth {Mark 4:26–32}.

Therefore, if any mortal man – whoever he is and whatever place within human world and human establishments he has, wants to obtain the everlasting life, he should ask from God

the great mercies*20*:

the purification of the heart*21*  followed with

the wisdom to comprehend the law/commandments of God

the power to accomplish the law/commandments of God,

so the will of God be done on the earth as it is in Heaven

{Matthew 6:10; Luke 11:2}.

God is everything of man, and only knowledge of the commandments of God – that is the knowledge of the law according to which the human nature was created in harmony with the nature of the world that accommodates human existence, might enable man to be successful in all his endeavors, would he be either a rich king or a poor market cleaner.

Otherwise, as the Old Testament prophets write,

we ask of help and deliverance, yet receive nothing in return,

because we trust in vanities and bring forth iniquities,

 because our sins separate us from God,

and knowledge and truth and understanding are no more with us*22*

{Isaiah 59:1–15; Hosea 4:6}

we have sown much, but brought in little, we have eaten, and are not satisfied;

we have closed ourselves, and have not become warm;

and he that earns wages has gathered them into a bag full of holes

{Haggai 1:6}

we seek enlightenment, clarity, and judgment, yet they are no more,

and we wander in darkness and perplexity,

and salvation has gone far from us

{Isaiah 59:9–11}.

a/ if we trust in idols, we become unable to perceive truth

b/ if we build on the sand, our efforts are fruitless*23*

c/ if we have forgotten the simple truth that God protects those who trust in Him and ask His help, that only God has mercy on the sinners, heals His creations, and delivers them out of their complete ruin {Psalm 30(31); 31(32); 45(46); 49(50):14–23; 50(51); 90(91); 106(107)}, then, there is no exit from the slavery to the evil, ignorance, lawlessness, despair, and darkness of separation from God

d/ if we live in the darkness of ignorance and perplexity, we live in the mental fog similar to the Phoenician after–life*24* – the realm of the infernal blinding and separating fog, in which the dead souls wander helplessly and lonely, isolated, forgotten by God and by men, unable to perceive anything, deprived of any chance to find the way to the light and life..

Did not the ancient prophets {e.g., in: Isaiah 1:4–7, 23–23; 8:21–22; 9:13–20; 59:2–15; Jeremiah 7:5–11, 28–29; 9:2–9; Sophonias 3:1–7} describe rightly the current world*25*, where the nations, which in the recent Past were envied as the powerful and rich, became the divided collapsing houses {in: Mark 3:24–27} of impoverished and corrupted people who turned away from God and undergo annihilation, yet still believe that they could obtain the good for themselves by doing evil to the others; for instance, those who

– fight with each other and commit crimes for the sake of any material thing

– betray and besmear each other, live in fear and distress, yet, speak ill of authorities and laws

– mistakenly believe that they could obtain security, happiness, and prosperity, and all good things by depriving the others of their life and possession

– have corrupted and ignorant criminals as their rulers, educators, and priests

– live in ignorance, poverty, and sickness of body and mind

– are fed with propaganda and lies instead of truth and are manipulated with false slogans of liberty and freedoms, while they are enslaved with evil, sin, and ignorance and led to their ruin as the sheep are led to slaughter?

Are not such people deprived even of understanding that they have failed? Then, if they are unable to comprehend and acknowledge their failure, how they ever could find the reasons of their misery and root them out?

Indeed, the greatest wisdom of any human being – the simplest one as well as any king/ruler/leader – is comprehension, observance, and accomplishment of the law of God; the order of human reason should be Λογος, the Word–God, through Whom everything that exists came into the being {John 1:1–3, 10}, and because of Whom the Holy Spirit comes to abide with a human being and to be in human being {John 14:13–26} giving the precious gifts of knowledge, wisdom, and power.

Otherwise, the destiny of any society, establishment, kingdom, state, which harbor people in whom there is no God, is collapse and disintegration, as it happened with the kingdom of the wisest ruler of all times.

The Search for the Wisdom

…For the Lord gives wisdom,

and from His presence knowledge and understanding…

{Proverbs 2:6}

Job did not find Αγια Σοφια within the temporal disintegrating world, especially in Hades and destruction {Job 28:12–22}, because there is no wisdom in the evil with such attributes as suffering, corruption, degeneration, collapse, and death/disintegration. Wisdom that Job sought and was not able to find was revealed by the Word–God: Αγια Σοφια, Λογος, Who was with God from the beginning, through Whom all that exists came into being, Who has the authority over all flesh, and Who can give the eternal life to all that is given to Him {John 1:1–4; 6:37–40; 17:2}.

Then, the meaning of wisdom should be envisioned as an embodiment of the Absolute Good – the Law and Power and Love and Perfection – of God into creations of God and presence of the Divine power in the creations of God. From such a point of view, the mind might comprehend wisdom as the unity of law, energy, and power that creates and maintains life, as the harmony of cohesion that evokes the order from the chaos and creates the establishments/systems, through which the mind a/ evolves by achieving its purposes and b/ accomplishes its mission within the world*11*.

Then, could it be possible for any of the mortals to find wisdom, if the very essence of wisdom – as the harmony of the wholeness of law, power, energy, and all that is the absolute good of man – is negation of the daily reality of disorder, suffering, degeneration, collapse, and death?

Lord God says that

He came not to destroy the law and the prophets but to fulfill them

according to the will of God the Father

{Matthew 5:17–18; Luke 16:16–17; John 6:38–40}

He came into the world to cast Fire into the earth

{Luke 12:49}

so man would become the carrier and dweller of light –

{Matthew 5:14–16; John 1:4–5, 9; 3:21; 12:44–46}

the dwelling of the Living God

{John 14:15–19, 26; 16:7–15; 17}

He comes as it was written about Him

{Mark 14:21; John 5:39, 46}

He came into the world, and He leaves the world and returns to God the Father Who sent Him,

yet, He comes to dwell in those who love Him and accomplish His commandments

{John 1:10–11; 13:33; 14:15, 19, 23–27; 15:4–6, 9–10; 16:16; 17:11–13, 23–26}.

The Apostles write about the plan of God that was set from the beginning and that Lord Jesus Christ accomplished {James 1:17–18, 21–25; 1 Peter 1:10–25; Ephesians 1:1–23; 4:17–24}.

Therefore, according to the will of God, Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God, the Word–God, came into the world in the end of its times, when its καιρος*26* is close, although no one knows the day of completion {Matthew 24:3–44; John 4:34–35; 1 Peter 4:6–8; 2 Peter 3:3–15}. He came to collect those who were the God’s own from the beginning, to complete the act of creation on the prepared ones, and to lead them home, into the eternal kingdom of God, in which the new world will come into being: the everlasting world where God will dwell with the firstfruit of His certain creations – carriers of the Name of God, the ones made after the image and in likeness of the Word–God, the ones perfected by Love of God, the ones living by the Holy Spirit {Matthew 5:17–18; Mark 14:21; Luke 12:49; John 1:12–13; 3:14–21, 36; 5:39, 46; 10:27–30; 14:15–27; 15:1–10; 17; James 1:17–18, 21–25; 1 Peter 1:10–25; 1 John 3; 4; Ephesians 1:1–23; 4:17–24;  Revelation 22:3–4}.

The Word–God, Λογος, is the Holy Wisdom, Αγια Σοφια, the eternal Glory of God by Whom all was (and is) created and exists, the fulfillment of the eternal Law, or the One sealed by God, or the Name of God, or in other terms, the knowledge (Λογος – Code) of the eternity {Genesis 1; Exodus 33:18–23; 34:5–7; Psalm 101(102):25–27; 103(104):30; 106(107):19–20; 147;  Proverbs 3:19–20; 8:22–36;  Matthew 5:17–18; John 1:1–14; 5:39, 46; 6:27; 10:28–30; 12:49–50; 17; Revelation 22:3–4}.

It means that the first attributes of Wisdom of God, which are revealed to the human mind, are

a/ the Law, according to which life – temporal and eternal – is ignited

b/ the Power to create beings capable of eternal existence without degeneration, collapse and disintegration.

Then, the earth is the place where the Law of God had been actualized (or the Code of the eternity had been read): the temporal world, in which the Word–God came to explain God the Father and to give knowledge of the eternity. Coming of the Word–God initiated the act of creation of the new kind of beings – the immortal inhabitants*27* of the new perfect world at another level of complexity, which will be everlasting – the world where death, destruction, and other features of the temporal disintegrating matter are not known.

There is not much known about this new world, besides promise of God that it will be perfect and everlasting; however, God provided all necessary knowledge for the one who desires to become a part of it: His law, His words, and His commandments – the knowledge, with which the path into the eternity might become the actuality. Moreover, His mercy and His Love and His Light make possible and illuminate the path

from darkness of the temporal world destined to disintegration

into the eternity of the Light

{Revelation 21:23–24}

God enables and empowers the human mind to comprehend the knowledge of Him and embody it into the actuality. Within the interval of times between the first coming of Lord God Jesus Christ as the Savior and Redeemer and the second coming of Lord God Jesus Christ as the Judge of the world Who will separate His Own from the others {Matthew 13:24–30, 37–43}, the one who accepts Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Word–God, who believes in Him, loves Him, and accomplishes His commandments – that is the one who is born of God {John 1:1–14; 3:3–8} – might be enabled to find Αγια Σοφια, the Holy Wisdom of God, in his own heart–mind*28*.

This Wisdom, Αγια Σοφια, is

a/ the seed/Code of life of the new world without the evil

b/ the life – Flesh and Blood – of a new creation born by the Word of Truth {John 1:12–13; 3:3–8; 6:32–58; James 1:17–18; 1 Peter 2:4–10; 1 John 2:1–12; 4:9–21; Romans 5:1–10; 6:1–23; 8:14–17; Ephesians 2:1–22; 4:21–24}

c/ the Light and Truth of all new creations of God who take their Way into the eternal Kingdom, where death, suffering, and the evil do not exist {John 14; 17; 1 Peter; 1 John; Revelation 21; 22}.

So, neither Job nor Solomon were enabled to find Αγια Σοφια in their times. They both had no καιρος*26* – the time/point/state of fulfillment, when the Universal Law, on which the life is founded, comes to completion within a particular space–field for the creative works of God – would it be a human being {χωρει εν υμινJohn 8:37; Θεου γεωργιον 1 Corinthians 3:9}, or the Earth, or the entire universe*9*, *17*, *18*:

– Job – because the Word–God did not come yet {cf.: John 6:44–45; 7:37–39; 14:13–26; 17}; however, Job the Righteous was just before God in his reasoning and his deeds: his knowledge of God indicates that his mind reached the highest degree of evolution allotted to the mind of the Old Testament’s man. So, Job received the promise that he will rise again with those whom the Lord raises up {Job 42:7–17}

– Solomon, who apparently, was given much more than Job has, – because of two reasons:

1/ the same as mentioned above, for Job

2/ he corrupted himself, and became the apostate.

The stories of Job and Solomon make possible insight in

– the order of reason, of which Job speaks {Job 28:20–28}

– the law that organizes and sustains evolution of the mind – advancement in wisdom and comprehension.

As much as it could be inferred from descriptions of knowledge and wisdom that Solomon received from God {3 Kings; Proverbs; Ecclesiastes; Wisdom}, the one could assume that Solomon learned the nature of the world and the nature of man. This world was created by God for a specific form of life accommodated within the specific settings: the vortex of the energy fields, which the mind perceives through their manifestations–settings *29*: time, space, complexity.

Within the settings, the divine energy issuing from God creates temporary structured matter, which is enabled to carry temporarily the eternal indestructible energy – the breath of God that makes the living soul of a body formed of dust {Genesis 2:7}.

Then, the meaning of καιρος*26* opens as the ultimate (closing) act of manifestation of the law, which has been embodied into a particular system that was created to accomplish some purposes and the consequent inability of a system to exist at the settings (time–space–complexity), within which it reached its καιρος. The law manifests itself

through transformation of a system (that evolved according to its design) for the next phase of existence

through collapse and disintegration of a system (that perverted its nature and became unable to evolve).

a/ God said/sent His word – Λογος, and the world came into existence {in: Genesis 1; John 1:1–4, 10–14}

b/ the Λογος as the universal code/law of creation has been read/actualized at the particular level of complexity, at which time and structured matter are enabled to define the range of parameters and conditions of existence of a specific life form created within a particular space*9*, or the seed of the mighty tree was planted into the prepared soil {in: Mark 4:26–32}, which could be any world/κοσμος/settings in a range, which might expand

a human mind that discovered law of God, learned to embody the law into own actuality,

and became prepared for acceptance of the Holy Wisdom

a space in the trans–galactic abyss,

within which the core/code of a new galaxy is initiated

c/ on the prepared earth (matter) the Fire from the Heaven was cast – the Holy Spirit {Luke 3:16; 12:49–50; John 1:12–13, 26–34; 3:3–7; 4:24; 14:15–26; 15:1–3, 26; 16:13–16; Acts 1:1–5; 2:1–4; Deuteronomy 4:24; Psalm 17(18):8; 96(97):5; Isaiah 64:1–2; Micah 1:4} that ignited life of a new being – human immortal*27* child/creation of God, a furstfruit of new creations in Christ and by Christ {James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:3–25; Ephesians 1; 2}

d/ the search for Αγια Σοφια and the earthly phase of human evolution are completed, when the Fire upon the earth is cast {Deuteronomy 4:24; Luke 12:49; Hebrew 12:29}, that is with coming of the Holy Spirit into man {John 1; 3; 14; 15; 16; 17}

e/ the καιρος of the Earth will come when all beings created for the eternity will pass through their way into the Kingdom of God, and the evil is complete {Revelation 1:5–8; 3:12, 20–21; 6:9–11; 14:13; 2 Peter 3:3–15; Genesis 6:6, 12–14;}, and the purposes of the earth will be accomplished. Only God the Creator knows when it happens, yet, His Son, Lord Jesus Christ gave warning to all His creation that the end is close {Matthew 24:32–42}.

Indeed, the signs of the time, of which the Lord spoke {Matthew 16:1–4; 24:3–42; Luke 12:54–57}, are becoming the actuality: the world is collapsing, although no one is enabled to determine how much time the processes of collapse will take.

Therefore, at the current conditions, the meaning of wisdom of a creation situated within this temporal world might be envisioned as the power to live and to survive. The power to live and to survive is initiated by the ability to comprehend the eternal Law – Word of God and to comply with His commandments that define life and death {Matthew 5:17–18; Luke 16:17; John 6:38–40; Deuteronomy 30:15–20; Isaiah 40:5, 8}.

At the level of human essence (soul–heart–mind, or the mind), this law is the commandments of God the Creator {Matthew 5:17–19, 48; 22:37–40; Luke 6:27–36; John 1:1–18; 13:34–35; 14:6–11; 15:12}, which prepare the mind for acceptance of the Divine Fire – the Holy Spirit and for becoming the temple/dwelling place  of Αγια Σοφια.

At the level of a human body, this law {e.g., in: Exodus 34:5–7; Deuteronomy 11; 28; 29; 30; Matthew 5; 6; 7; Luke 6:17–49; 10:25–42; 12; 14; 16; 1 Peter; I John; and the others} defines mental and physical health: it

– either sustains healthy normal existence of a body in harmony with the mind/spirit of those who observe the commandments of God

– or initiates mental and physical disorders and subsequent degeneration leading to premature physical death of those who did not observe the commandments of God and pervert own nature.

No one with sound mind, for instance,

– would defy the fact that if the matter is placed in the settings with parameters, which exceed the limits, within which the matter is enabled to keep its structure and therefore to accommodate life, the matter undergoes disintegration (e.g., a body within fire): no one would expect that an ordinary human being condemned to be executed as heretic by burning in fire, at the stake, would survive as a material object, when a body is turned into the ashes: such belief is irrational, because it contradicts the nature of the matter and the nature of the life whose natural carrier/component is the structured matter

– would expect that a car designed to run on gas is able to run on water.

However, anyone, who either does not accept or defies commandments of God and therefore violates the law that controls life of the mind, makes similar irrational assumptions–expectations of

– survival when survival is not possible, because of non–compliance with the terms and conditions of life

– possessing with life–preserving wisdom, which enables evolution of the mind and survival of its creations/systems (civilizations, empires, states, business and other establishments and systems), when there is no place prepared for wisdom {Matthew 8:19–22; John 8:37, 43; 1 Corinthians 3:9}

– life and prosperity for the establishments (families, societies, states, empires) and their creators, when the mind is unable to comprehend that without wisdom there is no life, when the entire life within the societies and other human establishments become the institutionalized violation of the commandments of God.

In summary, the search for Αγια Σοφια begins with accomplishment of the commandments of God and is completed when the Word–God becomes the essence – στερεωμα – of the human soul–heart–mind, and the Holy Spirit comes to abide in man.

The world described in the first and second chapters of Genesis was the evolving reality, because all living creatures received the blessing of God to evolve: they had to increase and multiply and fill their sphere {αυξανεσθε και πληθυνεσθε και πληρωσατεGenesis 1:22}. In addition to the blessing to evolve (to increase and multiply and fill the earth), man was given the purposes και κατακυρειυσατε αυτης– to subdue and to dominate the world filled with the all living creatures {Genesis 2:28}.

The traditional translation of Greek text “αυξανεσθε και πληθυνεσθε και πληρωσατε – Genesis 1:22, 28 – is “Increase and multiply and fill.”

However, the overall meaning of this logical block is much more complicated: it means to evolve, to accomplish/fulfill, to become complete:

in the word αυξανεσθε ξα ( and modified ξη/ξε  – is the root for words denoting development, growth, and evolution (lit. and fig.) as in

 αυξανω – to grow, enlarge, increase

εξελιξη – evolution

 the word πληρωσατε is the derivative of primary verb πλεω – to fulfill, to accomplish, to make full, and then, πληρης – complete, full.

Therefore, God’s blessing – αυξανεσθε και πληθυνεσθε και πληρωσατε defines the purposes of man as his own evolution (definitely, development as increase may not be only about physical parameters; multiplication and making all full/complete – that is reaching the higher level of development/complexity at which the full potency can be exercised), within the evolving world (whose inhabitants received the same commandment, therefore, the world itself should be capable of development necessary to sustain evolution of all its inhabitants), maintenance of the evolution of the world accommodating his existence, and reaching the completion.

Consequently, the one can infer that the man of the first two chapters of Genesis had three interconnected purposes:

to evolve himself, to become complete within the evolving world

to dominate the evolving world

to maintain evolution of the evolving world.

Then, after exile from the Paradise, the creative works of man are accomplished by the mind, by creating thoughts – the energy entities, which, having being embodied into the material structures (books, constructions, establishments, societies, empires, other edifices), maintain human existence within the world, which is collapsing because of cognition of the evil.

The creative abilities of the Old Testament’s mind might be seen as the remnants of rudimental abilities of the creation made in the image and after likeness of the Omnipotent Almighty God. In the New Testament, the creative abilities are the natural abilities of the beings that are born by the Word of truth and are evolving into the likeness of the Word–God and συνεργοι {1 Corinthians 3:9}  – co–workers of God .

With coming of the Word–God, a human being is re–created and the process of evolution as the imitation of God – the process, which would result in obtaining the eternal life in the presence of God – is initiated. It means that even within the limited temporal and collapsing world the human mind, through faith and knowledge of God as the gifts of the Holy Spirit, might be enabled to create the evolving systems as it was appointed by God from the foundation of the world…”

“…Evolution is the totality of normal or natural processes called also “life” or “existence” for any of beings created by God; in general, natural life of each living creature is development of the maximal potency according to the God’s will/plan; “optimization” is the term describing some aspects of the evolution. The term “evolution” is applicable to all living purposeful systems: a human being, mankind, human society, etc.

In general, evolution is a life–cycle of any being, which exists for a purpose and which has an ability to create–absorb–accumulate–transmit knowledge of good and to embody the knowledge of good into the structures and systems of the surrounding world. This knowledge stipulates achievement of the particular purposes – creation of good, maintenance of life and optimization of other systems, actualization of technical and other kinds of progress or the processes intended to facilitate life and development of human beings and their creations/establishments.

In brief, evolution is the process – development resulting in ability to ascend to the higher level of complexity. Knowledge is the force driving evolution. The last phase of the evolution of human mind is the ultimate choice between the evil imagination of man and the true knowledge of God: the evolution is accomplished when the mind discards all illusions, fantasies, and false assumptions, embraces the only true reality – the reality of the One Perfect – Absolute – God Whose power is the absolute power and Whose mercy is perfect mercy, and becomes that what it was created to be – the temple–dwelling of the Creator. The first step to the ultimate perfection is understanding that acceptance of the knowledge of God the Father and observance of the commandments of Lord God Jesus Christ precedes coming of the Spirit–Fire Who descends on those who are chosen to became the temple of God and to dwell with God in eternity of His kingdom {Luke 12:49; John 3:3–6; 7:39; 14:15–17, 23, 24; Revelation 21:27; 22:3–5; Isaiah 64:8}.

Then, knowledge of God should fill the mind and become the absolute truth and the only reality of existence:

God is the Absolute, the ultimate perfection, the only truth

the Love of God make a human being perfect creation ready for the eternity

the knowledge of God is the only valuable possession

there is none and there is nothing besides God.

It means also that in the world created by God and given into dominion of man, nothing is able or should attempt to take the place of God or pretend on possession by any of the attributes of God. Whatever good men are able to create, they create it only if the power of God acts through them.

In the terms of systems theory, evolution is the process of increasing the level/degree of complexity…”

*12* A human being is the wholeness whose life is manifested at three levels:

1/ soul/spirit – the receiver of the divine energy {the breath of life given by God – Genesis 2:7} that sustains a unique form of life: a human being – within the world of derivatives of the divine creative energy of God; such derivatives include, for instance,

energy–information that carries the codes of creation – the essence/nature of each of living beings according to its kind that constitute the world given into the dominion of man {Genesis 1}

energy–information–matter – a body of a living being

2/ heart/mind – the center at which the divine creative energy of God is transformed into the human thoughts, which might be envisioned as the codes of the establishments that man is enabled to create within the world of the matter

3/ body/matter – the physical or perceivable arrangement of the material structures, whose abilities to exist/function/move/act are identified as strength: a human body–carrier of human spirit and intelligence/reasoning makes possible manifestations of the divine creative energy of God embodied into the thoughts, words, and deeds of man.

The Christian theologians define the human heart as the spiritual center, the essence of a human being, the singularity in which the union between the divine and the human is consummated, or in which the divine becomes thoughts, words, and deeds of man [e.g., The Philokalia: 2:383].

 *13* Στερεωμα of the human soul–heart–mind is the Word–God – the knowledge of God (His Law, His will, His commandments, His mercy, His Perfection and His Love – the Absolute Good) that is the everlasting life {John 17:3, 6}: this knowledge makes possible life by the Holy Spirit. See also posting The Abundant Good – Folder 2013, Page  2_March 2013.

Στερεωμα is the firmament: the framework, which was created by God and within which the evolving world came into being under the Heaven {Genesis 1}. The same pattern might be discerned in creation of the immortal human child of God.

When the one accepts the Word–God, the knowledge that He gives – the knowledge of God (knowledge of the law of God, His will, His commandments, His mercy, His Perfection and His Love – the Absolute Good), becomes the Firmament {Κυριος Στερεωμα μου – The Lord is my Firmament – Psalm 17(18):2} – the foundation–framework–space, in which a human being

evolves into the dwelling of God

is enabled to accept the Holy Spirit of God – the Divine Fire Who ignites the eternal life within the creature of dust

is enabled to enter the eternity in the presence of God.

By Christ and in Christ – by the Word–God and in the Word–God – an immortal human child of God comes into being and will be resurrected for the eternity with God {John 1:12–13; 3:16–17; 11:25–26; 17; 1 Peter 1; 1 John 3:1–3; Ephesians 2:10, 13–22}.

*17* See excerpt from posting The Light (Folder Archive_2013The Light, Page 3_April_2013):

“…at each level of complexity, in all spheres of human activities, within the entire human universe, the Light of God creates the foundation of existences, the order, and the harmony, which are the inseparable features of the reality of the good – the reality where life unfolds as the process of incessant development and achievement of the optimum:

–  in application to the earth, the Light might be seen as the framework of the energy fields within which the particular forms of life can be created, can evolve, and can reach the optimum needed for the next phases → stages of existence → worlds → circles of the cosmic spiral of evolution, and so on

– for a human being, the Light is the reality in which physical survival, perception, and work of intelligence/reasoning can be accomplished

– for the human soul, the Light is the Word–God in Whom it lives and through Whom it enters into the eternity in the presence of God Who is the Almighty Omnipotent Spirit

– for the human heart, the Light is the power that enables the conscience to discern between the good and the evil, to choose the good, and to enter the peace of God

– for the human mind, the Light is the power to perceive and to comprehend reality of the world opened by God for cognition of man: the reality in which the knowledge of God sustains life of the reason as bread sustains life of a body

– for the human establishments, the Light is the framework of knowledge that empowers the systems–establishments to operate according to the purposes of the creators set for achievement of the good

– for the one, the road to light and the life itself, therefore everything – the wholeness of the eternity, begins with the faith in Lord Jesus Christ {John 1:12–14; 6:44–47; 14:6}. The Word–God, the Light of the world, illuminates the soul–heart–mind, and transforms the disordered chaos that is man without God {and that was before the light, when the earth was invisible and unstable–disordered–unfurnished – H  δε γη ην αορατος και ακατασκευαστος and darkness was over the depth, in: Genesis 1:2}  into the shining world of beauty, harmony, order and perfection of the good: into the new world of a human child of God living by God…

In the theological terms, the Light might be seen as the actualization of the creative power of God and as the manifestation of the universal law according to which the earth came into existence and life is ignited and is enabled to evolve

b/ the Light might be seen as the manifestation of the Absolute Good (the Absolute Good is the attribute of God, the source of wisdom of man, the framework within which the human mind evolves through cognition of knowledge of God). As such, the Light of God creates life of the human reasoning/intelligence

by empowering the ability of perception and faculty of deliberation

by separation of the good from the evil

(for instance, by defining the essence of things, such as light and darkness

and evolution and degeneration)

by sustaining the ability of comprehension

by sustaining the ability to create new knowledge, therefore, to increase

in comprehension of the world created by God

and to evolve reaching the next phase of development

c/ in the terms of systems science, the Light might be envisioned as the reality*3* or vortex of the energy fields sustained by the powers and the law defining the complexity, potency, and cycles of energy transformation. Within the reality of the Light, the human life comes into being, increases, multiplies, evolves, and begins the ascent through the spiral of evolution: up, and up, and up – to the Creator, in His presence, in His reality – in the Kingdom of God {Revelation 21:1–6; 22:3–5}

d/ a designer of the evolving systems would interpret the light as the framework in which flow of energy–power–knowledge that organizes chaos into the evolving system(s) can be initiated

and so on.”

*26* The Greek word καιρος conveys the meaning of the moment of accomplishment, “decisive moment,” when something either actually happens or is fulfilledKαιρος defines

1/ the specific time–space point at which a system realizes its potential, creates the most significant knowledge, or achieves its purposes.

2/ the final phase, or the time of completion, when time–range of existence, which is controlled by the laws of irreversibility of cognition and complexity, is completed because the system

either accumulated knowledge, obtained the level of complexity, and developed the optimal potential according to the creator’s design

or corrupted and perverted its nature and became incapable of evolution–development (that is incapable of accumulating knowledge and reaching its  optimum according to the design of the system’s creator).

 As soon as the καιρος is reached {e.g., Genesis 6:5, 12–14} the system has either to be modified/transformed for the next stage of existence or to be destroyed because of its inability to accomplish the purposes for the sake of which it has been created.

Concerning καιρος, see also the following excerpt from Archive Files:

“…In Greek, the Solomon’s expression is precise: Τοις πασιν ο χρονος, και καιρος τοω παντι πραγματι υπο τον ουρανον {Ecclesiastes 3:1}. He differentiates three settings allotted for the affairs of man:

– there is the time – χρονος

– there is the time of completion, final decision, or act, when all things come into the focus and everything is completed – καιρος

– there is the framework, within which the world was created–structured, or the firmament of the second day of creation – στερεωμα – also called the Heaven – ουρανον {Genesis 1:6–10}. Within this framework, or “under the Heaven,” χρονος and καιρος reign:

– everything is born for a purpose within the measured finite settings (χρονος – governed by the law of irreversibility of cognition)

– everything accomplishes (or fails to accomplish) the purpose of its existence and reaches the time of actualization–fulfillment–completion (καιρος)

– after καιρος,  everything either dissipates to free the time–space–complexity settings for the next actors or ascends at the higher level of complexity {continues existence for achievement of other purposes, at another time–space–complexity settings; one of the meanings of evolution is an increase of complexity}.

In general, these three settings define the cyclical nature of our world created according to the specific readings of the universal law – the Law of God.

The framework–firmament–heaven embraces the totality of time–space–complexity entities/networks composed with the energy fields controlling the cycles of energy transformation {life is a purposeful cycle of energy transformations}. These settings or specific networks of the energy fields might be seen also as the unity of the interconnected worlds, which accommodate the developing totality of the cycles of creation {John 5:17} and sustain life of different kinds of living beings–embodiments of the divine energy accomplished according to the universal law and with the universal power. The unity of energy–law–power maintains the Heaven and the world of men. The time  – χρονος –  makes possible achievement of the purposes, therefore, actualization of the cycles of life. The time of completion – καιρος  –  is the time–setting when three events happen:

1/ the system (the human mind or a human establishment, e.g., empire) achieves the maximal potency, which it has been designed and is capable to achieve during its life–cycle

2/ the system actualizes its maximal potency and embodies the accumulated knowledge into the act of creation or destruction of other systems

3/ the system completes its purposes.

The human mind cannot change χρονος, yet, it has a freedom to choose or to create the path toward own καιρος.  This path (the human life, existence of an empire, civilization, nation, corporation, or of any other human establishment) differs, mostly, by the initial complexity*2* and the settings within which the system is destined to fulfill the purposes. In general, this path might be seen as a summary of derivatives

a/ the Past, which the mind, for instance, carries as the genetic composition of the body it controls, and which, in particular, defines the present manageability of the matter {Wisdom 8:19–20 }, mostly through physical individual abilities and potency to perceive, access, and utilize the resources needed for achievement of the purposes

b/ the vision of truth {or the remnants of this vision, e.g., in: Isaiah 6:10}, which define the abilities to discern the Law behind the totality of events and settings, to evaluate own compliance with the Law, and to act according (or contrary)  to the Law (that is according/contrary to own nature, which is defined by the Law) therefore, to cognize the knowledge, which would allow accomplishment the purposes of evolution (the knowledge of good) or anti–evolution (the knowledge of evil)

c/ the accumulated potency of created–learned knowledge of good and evil.

In a particular sense, the world might be seen as the training ground where the human mind tests own abilities and actualizes own nature within different times, religions, races, nations, empires, establishments, and other settings. In general, the accumulated knowledge of good and evil and the choices intended to embody this knowledge into the life of the world define preparedness (or unpreparedness) for the next world and the next phase of existence in the Kingdom of God {John 14:2}.

Other Solomon’s texts compliment his vision of the foundations of the world and allow comprehension of his sadness as the prophet, philosopher, and king. After Solomon accomplished everything that man, king, and genius who received the knowledge of foundations of the world and mysteries of creation could accomplish, and after he researched everything under the Heaven with the wisdom granted by God {Ecclesiastes 1:12–18; 2:1–24; 1 Kings 3:11–13; 2 Chronicles 1:11–12}, he makes the inferences:

1/ without God, man is able of nothing: all and everything – wisdom, knowledge, power, wealth, happiness, life, and death as the perfect completion of the perfect life – comes by the will of God and in the time allotted by God

2/ the only path of dignity and wisdom opened to man is to cling to God and to observe His commandments {Ecclesiastes 11:13}

The author of the Book of Wisdom explains that everything that makes life meaningful and desirable is in the knowledge of God: to know God is the complete righteousness and acceptance of His dominion is the root of immortality {Wisdom 15:3}.

The inference is that this world is centered or focused on the Absolute Good, and only those who choose to seek this Absolute Good are able to actualize own nature and have their καιρος  as accomplishment of the purposes they have been created to accomplish…

… some systems are not capable to reach their καιρος.  Despite an ability to develop the greatest potency and availability of the resources, the system may never have καιρος, because of their incompatibility with the environment, insufficient complexity/development of its counterparts, or simply because of the unprepared environment.

The myth about Cassandra reflects the tragedy of those unable to reach καιρος.  Apollo punished Cassandra (daughter of the king of Troy) because of her independent spirit and unwillingness to serve his desire. She received an ability to foresee the Future; however, those whom she predicted the Future had been deprived of an ability to understand her. All Cassandra’s predictions became reality, yet, her contemporaries were not ready to comprehend the consequences of current events and own actions, therefore, she was not able to accomplish her purposes: she had no καιρος.

…even if the mind of observer is capable of discerning the patterns of completion in the Past, and has an ability to determine the actual meaning of knowledge, events and choices, as well as to comprehend the summary of actions leading to the particular pattern of καιρος, could such a mind actually assist in the design of the Future if every system has own vision of the Future and this Future might not be reconcilable with the projections of other systems?

Probably, the understanding of the irreconcilable differences led the wise king to the conclusion: everything is in the knowledge of God and in observance of His commandments. Only for those unified with the mutual knowledge of the Absolute Good – that is of our Lord God and Savior, and for those who build on the only indestructible precious corner stone {Isaiah 28:16; Matthew 7:24–27; Luke 20:17} life becomes the path of accomplishment, achievement of the highest power of creation of good, therefore, actualization of own nature, which prepares the human mind for the Kingdom of God.”

The Completion, Folder Archive_2008_2009, Page_4_2008–2009,

…as Solomon noticed, there is no new thing under the sun. He also knew that all things have their χρονος (the time–range) and everything has its own καιρος (the time–point of fulfillment or completion, impossibility to continue or a necessity to begin). There is

a time to seek and a time to lose

καιρος του φιλησαι και καιρος του μισησαι

a time of war and a time of peace…

Everything has its own time–range to exist and to struggle for fulfillment of the purposes of existence, and everything comes to the moment–point of completion, when the purposes are accomplished or when it becomes clear that they never will be achieved. Everything has the very own starry moment of the end, would it be victory or defeat, time to live or time to die…

Interesting connection: there is nothing new, and everything has its own καιρος. Who needs the forecast theory then?

Just study the history as the totality of

evolving→degeneratingdisintegrating interactive systems,

and after that

discover the main patterns

define the laws,

which are behind the actions–events–phenomena

that compose the patterns and define the systems’ past, present, future

identify manifestations of the laws:

analyze the current conditions–properties of the systems–settings

that are the subjects of interest

find the proper patterns

compare intents–actions–conditions of the subjects of interests with the patterns

determine the stage of development–degradation–disintegration

write down the Future scenario

all is done: relax and watch the show…

Would it be so simple, some research institutions and intelligence services could become the stuff of old curiosity shops. So, there is something else needed if someone wants knowledge of the Future, or something that rules out knowledge of the Future for majority of those who seek it, or something elusive, powerful enough do not be found or overridden. What is it? Could it be

–– the lack of brain–power

–– the wrong or inadequate foundation on which theories and analyses are developed

–– the rules of the game called “life within the world of the matter”

–– insufficient or inadequate development and resulting ignorance

–– arrogance of those who possess the coercive power and control thinking of researchers

–– the special temporal blindness of those destined to come through the same cycles of cognition of evil and good, to learn/fail to learn the same lessons, to pass/fail to pass the same tests as their ancestors had?

Ultimately, impossibility to see the Future in its entirety and in its definiteness is a blessing for those who have no Future, and the vision of the Future is not interesting for those who have come further, to the Knowledge behind which the time does not exist, to Λογος – the Word–God…”

Pattern #5,  9.18.2010, Folder Systems, Page 2

“…we are expected to discern the signs of the times – σημεια των καιρων {Matthew 16:1–3}, not only weather.

In general, with the systems theory, to discern the signs of time (that is to find out the system’s καιρoς, the points at which the system reaches the highest potency and comes to the completion, after which the processes of collapse–disintegration start) is a relatively simple task.

To determine χρονος – the exact time–range and space–complexity points of failure–collapse–death and through who it will be executed is much more complicated thing, because the mind cannot measure the precise influx/outflow of energy coming from/taken by other systems –

– the environment, or the super–system that accommodates life–cycle of the system, which I observe

– the adjacent and correlated systems and realities.

This energy might be in a form of information, knowledge, material resources, people with different abilities and skills, and so on… There are many carriers–transmitters–transformers of the energy that might either prolong existence or accelerate disintegration. Although some of them might be determined by analyzing the remnants of the system’s potentials, resources, and other properties, still, there are the unknown quantities, the variables that, at some level of generalization, compose the specific patterns describing the stages of collapse of one system and the stages of expansion–growth of another system(s).

 However, if we have a complicated task to determine precisely on which stage of collapse is the world that accommodates existence of mankind – what are the signs of times that we should know? There is no doubt that these signs are within us as any other knowledge of the world is; otherwise, God would not name “hypocrites” those who can predict weather yet cannot discern σημεια των καιρων – the signs of times {Matthew 16:3}.

Those who discern the signs of time know the system’s καιρoς

From the other side, if someone never had a chance to recall this knowledge of the times or even to know that it exists, if even the time and circumstances of own death are mercifully hidden – from where the knowledge of the sings of time could come?

So, the unknown systems would remain the formidable reality until the methods to identify/decipher/foresee them and to determine καιρoς are the part of public education…

In the beginning, it was very interesting task to find out how to determine the signs of something unknown coming. When I began my travel into the realm of the unknown, I came to the idea on which the unknown systems concept was developed. However, I have chosen not the best name – the actually unknown systems exist only at the levels that exceed complexity of the human mind. Within the dominion of men – societies, states, establishments of all kinds – such systems do not exist. Surprises, for instance, unexpected attack or unforeseen defeat or loss of competitive advantage, stem from the inadequate complexity of consideration and insufficient knowledge; they are not the overlooked σημεια των καιρων of the observed system, they are the consequences of insufficient knowledge of the observers.

From the other side, insufficient knowledge foretells the problems or even the end of those who compose it as well as of those who rely on it; so, at least one sign of times is clear…”

*27* Concerning immortality of man, see  the following excerpt from The Precious Stone  – Folder Archive_2013, Page 4_May_2013:

“Although there is no possibility to come to complete knowledge within the time–space–complexity bounded world, although the one sees as through deem glass and walks by faith relying on the “eyes of the heart” more than on the perception of the visible touchable material world, although the one will learn what, in fact, a human being is only after coming in the Kingdom of God, and although the only one thing is revealed is that the one will be the likeness of the Son of God {e.g., in: 1 John 3:1–3; 1 Corinthians 13:9–12}, – still, the Holy Scriptures provide indications with which at least some knowledge concerning human life and evolution can be inferred.

For instance,

man with a body formed of dust became the living soul after God breathed in his face the breath of life

{Genesis 2:7}

the ancient Israelites perceived appearance of God on the Mt. Sinai as the Fire that enveloped the mountain

{Exodus 24:16–17; Deuteronomy 4:11–15}

a human being is not able to see God and live

{Exodus 33:18–20}

Moses perceives God as the Consuming Fire

{Deuteronomy 4:24}

the prophets perceive appearance of God as the Fire melting the mountains and the valleys

{Psalm 17(18):8; 96(97):5; Isaiah 64:1–2; Micah 1:4}

Isaiah the prophet envisions a human being as clay in the hands of the Porter

{Isaiah 45:8–12; 64:8–9}

Malachi sees the One Who as the purifying Fire would melt and purify His people

as gold is melted and purified in fire, and the ones who would be made the possession of God –

those pitied by God as son is pitied by his father

{Malachi 3:1–3, 17; then, also in: 1 Peter 2:9–10}

St. John the Baptists speaks of the Word–God as of the One Who will baptize His people by the Holy Spirit and Fire

{Luke 3:16; John 1:26–34; also, in: Luke 12:49–50}

the Word–God says that He came to cast the Fire upon the earth

{through Lord Jesus Christ, the Word–God, the Holy Spirit comes and transforms

a creature of dust into the child of God, the one born of God and taught by God –

Luke 12:49; John 1:12–13; 3:3–7; 4:24; 14:15–26; 15:26; 16:13–16}

the Apostles write of the people of God as of the firstfruit of certain creations,

as of the living stones and the likeness of Jesus Christ the Son of God

as of the beings who, because of Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God,

have been pitied, forgiven, and adopted by God the Father to be His Own children,

as of the carriers of the Holy Spirit, the temple of God

{James 1:17–18; 1 Peter 2:4–10; 1 John 2:1–12; 4:9–21; Romans 5:1–10; 6:1–23; 8:14–17; Ephesians 2:1–22; 4:21–24}

the Apostles reveal that re–creation of man through the Word–God and in and after the Word–God

{through Whom all is created and comes into being – John 1:1–4; Proverbs 3:19–20; 8:22–36}

is the purpose of God from the beginning

{James 1:17–18, 21–25; 1 Peter 1:10–25; Ephesians 1:1–23; 4:17–24}.

Therefore, the one may infer the essence of human evolution within the temporal world of the matter:

by the Omnipotent Power of the Almighty God the Creator,

which overwhelms all potentials of the matter and might annihilate it by the very presence

at the first stage of creation, the dust (matter) becomes the carrier of life –

the derivative of the life–creative energy issuing from God

then, presence of God transforms (melts and purifies as in fire) the structures of the human essence

(which currently, at the phase of the earthly existence, is soul–heart–mind)

annihilating temporal substances and substituting the indestructible (eternal) energy being – creation of the Word–God,

which St. John the Apostle envisions as the likeness of the Word–God

{in: 1 John 3:1–2; furthermore, the Word–God – Λογος  – is the Holy Wisdom by Whom all is created and exists – Proverbs 3:19–20; 8:22–36; John 1:1–3;

or the One sealed by God – John 6:27; or the Name of God – Revelation 22:3–4; or in other terms, the Code of the eternity}

for the energy structures, which carry on the temporal definitions of the unity of

the source (life–creating energy) and its derivatives (life–carrying matter)

(where temporal means programmed for death/disintegration, or the ultimate cognition of the evil)

and therefore, determine the limited range of existence/life of human being as the unity of a body and the spirit

(the energy and the matter).

About seven centuries ago, in his theological works, which are devoted to the divine energies of God and which illustrate achievements of the Byzantine theological thought, St. Gregory Palamas (1296–1359) likens dwelling of the Holy Spirit in man to deification, or, in St. Gregory of Nyssa’s definition, to the process resulting in transcendence of human nature:  “the mortal becomes immortal, temporary becomes the eternal.” Similar vision, also referred to by St. Gregory Palamas, belongs to Maximus the Confessor who writes about the “Λογος of the eternal life carrying God” Who is conveyed to those who by the nature have beginning and the end, but who by the Grace of God become infinite and immortal [St. Gregory Palamas (2010); (1974) §11–§12 121–122; St. Gregory of Nyssa qtd. in: St. Gregory Palamas (1974) §12 122].

Therefore, if to summarize the knowledge given in the Holy Scriptures in secular – for instance, philosophical and systems – terms, the essence of transformation of the temporal into the infinite and the mortal into the immortal (or the intended for disintegration into the indestructible) might be described (by the term at the different levels of complexity) as evolution, modification, or re–creation of the life–form initiated by the will of its Creator. The evolution (or modification, or re–creation) empowers the life–form for transfer into the realm that accommodates life–forms at other levels of complexity:

the temporal matter

{χουν απο της  γης – the pouring dust of the earth – Genesis 2:7}

that was created to carry the life–bearing energy at the lowest levels of complexity

(in this case, complexity might be seen as an ability to actualize the energy potential at the different levels;

for instance, within the temporal and restricted settings – time–space–physical parameters that control functioning of the matter

at the planet earth, and in the limitless spiritual life of man)

is transformed into the derivative of the Code of the eternity

{a new being created after the likeness of the Word–God – John 1:12–13; James 1:17–18, 21–25; Ephesians 4:21–24)

is empowered to accept the divine energy of creation

that re–creates/modifies the fundamental life–sustaining structures

{is baptized with the Holy Spirit and Fire – Luke 3:16; 12:49–50; John 1:26–33}

enabling manifestations of the highest potency and power,

which can be revealed even within the limits of the time–space–matter

{e.g., the miracles of faith – Matthew 14:22–32; 17:20; Luke 17:5–10},

that makes the derivative – a new form of life – infinite–immortal–indestructible

and capable of existence within other realm

{in the realm of God the Spirit, the Creator of Life – in the Kingdom of God:

John 1:12–13; 3:3–6, 36; 11:25–26; 14:1–3; Revelation 21; 22; Daniel 7:9–10)

is enabled to actualize the increased energy potential

that within the limited time–space–complexity settings is manifested as

knowledge and love of God,

imitation of the perfection of God,

and, in some cases, even demonstration of the transcendent abilities,

for instance, such as knowledge of the future, clairvoyance, healing, and other “works of God”

{e.g., in: Mark 16:15–18; John 14:12; Acts}.

Everyone who claims his road to God comes to a particular – personal – vision and comprehension of God, yet the essence is always the same: God of the Holy Wisdom, the Perfect and Almighty God Who creates all through His Word – Λογος, Αγια Σοφια – Whom we know as Lord God Jesus Christ, and Who reveals Himself to His people as the Perfect Almighty Love with Whom there will be no sorrows, death, and suffering {John 3:16–18; 13:34–35; 14:21–23; 15:9–12; 17:21–26; 1 John; Revelation 21:3–7}.

The personal vision of God might be different, yet it always reflects the Absolute Good and completeness of the Perfect All–forgiving Love as much as the one, at his level of development, is enabled to perceive: the Holy Spirit is One but His gifts are different because their recipients have to accomplish different works and serve different purposes {our God is the God of Wisdom and knowledge, or as St. Paul the Apostle writes in: 1 Corinthians 14:33, not of ακαταστασιας – disarray, confusion, chaos}.

Indeed, they should be and they are different because the universe created by God is the wholeness of unlimited diversity of life (including the planet earth), the interconnected living multitudes of creations within different dimensions {John 14:2; Daniel 7:9–10}, with different potency, purposes and features (complexity), who in their totality are the manifestation of the Omnipotent Power and Energy issuing from God and carrying out the will of God the Creator.

Furthermore, it should be said that the evolution of a human mind proceeds through cognition of God, and the degree of mind’s development is a part of σημεια των καιρων {the signs of times – Luke 12:54–57}, which reveal closeness to the καιρος of this world...

For instance,

the ancient tribe delivered from the slavery in heathen Egypt was horrified by the vision of God

Whose presence melted the mountains and Who spoke from the midst of fire

the chosen ones received the commandment to exterminate the corrupted and evil idol–worshipers

and do not enter in any kinds of relations with them – nor family nor business nor any other

{Exodus 34:12–16; Deuteronomy 3:1–7; 1 Kings 15:18–33}

the disciples who wanted to cast the fire from the heaven, so those who did not accept them would be killed,

are told that they do not know the Spirit Who is in them, because the Lord came to save the souls of men, not to destroy

{Luke 9:51–56}

Lord Jesus Christ asked God the Father to forgive the heathens (Romans) who crucified Him

and sent His apostles to bring the salvation and eternal life – through His Gospels and Christian faith – to all nations

{Luke 23:33–34; Acts 28:28; also, in: Matthew 28:18–20; Mark 16:15–16}

a human being comes to life as a particle of disintegrating dust, rejects God,

lives as shadow of darkness, in wrath, distress, pain, and sorrow,

and becomes an idol–worshiper and beast consuming and not–sparing his brothers

{Job 4:19; 8:9–19; 14:1–22; Isaiah 1:2–31; 9:13–20}

the one who accepts faith in Lord Jesus Christ and cognizes love to God and to the others,

receives the authority to become an immortal child of the Almighty Omnipotent God the Spirit

Who is the Perfect Love

{John 1:1–13; 1 John 4:7–21}.

However, God always is the same and His Law is always the same law given for the entire life–cycle of the earth {Matthew 5:17–18; Luke 16:17; James 1:17–18; 1 Peter 1:22–25;  Psalm 101(102):25–27; Isaiah 40:6–8; Malachi 3:6}. Therefore, other factors should make the difference for mankind; for instance,

1/ the greatest evolution–driving factor – the knowledge of God and His Word – became the possession of the human mind destined for the eternity with God–Creator, although still living within the temporal limited world of the matter. Since, the world into which God has brought His knowledge that is the life everlasting, the world overwhelmed by God, the world in which God has completed His work {John 3:14–21; 13:1; 14:19; 16:5–7, 28, 33; 17:1–4; Ephesians 2:1–10}, the world, in which the Christian faith and salvation of man and his transformation into the living temple of the Living God are consummated, never can be the same as it was before coming of the Messiah. Although the beasts still commit terrible acts of hatred and atrocities, the world is different because of the knowledge that had been poured into the world and became possession of its inhabitants, and because even if this knowledge today is the secret treasure of just a few, tomorrow, its light will illuminate the many: the lamp shining in the darkness cannot be hidden {Matthew 5:15–16; John 1:5; 8:12; 9:5}

2/ the human mind is different at different periods of life (within different time–space–complexity parameters): it comes through different stages of evolution that is through different perceptions and degrees of comprehension of the Absolute Good as the attribute of God – the perfection of God, which the one should imitate {Matthew 5:48} during its ascent to God. As soon as this knowledge is already given by God {John 17:1–8}, the one can infer that the human mind has been prepared for the acceptance of this knowledge – the knowledge of the everlasting life.”

*28* The essence of man is soul–heart–mind; in the following texts, the contemporary brief term the mind will be applied. Also, see

– posting The Potential of the Mind, Folder Archive_2008_2009, Page_4_2008–2009

– the following excerpt from Concept of mind [adaptation from The Invincible Empire] – also, in posting The Deliverance, Note 1 – Folder Archive_2010, Page_1_January_March_2010:

 “A human being is a function of the divine creative energy of God, the wholeness that exists at three levels or dimensions: the spirit–soul, the mind–reason–creator of thoughts, and the flesh–body–matter. The breath–spirit–energy of God is the spirit–soul–mind of man. The soul of man would obtain the eternal life in the presence of God if it is born of the Spirit of God by the great mercy of God and through the faith in Lord God Jesus Christ {Genesis 2:7; Ecclesiastes 12:7; John 1:12–13; 3:3–7; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:3–5; 1 John 4:7; 5:1–13}.

The mind has the special purpose: with the power of thoughts, the mind has to arrange fulfillment of the universal law of perfection. It is designed to create the good: to optimize the existing systems, realities, and establishments, and to create new systems, which would facilitate the development and optimization–evolution.

Theologians, philosophers, and researchers have many definitions for the mind–intellect–heart–soul–spirit, mostly, as for the different facets of a human being. For instance, in the theological sense,

–– the heart is the spiritual center of man – the temple, in which the Divine is united with the human

–– the intellect is the “eye of heart” or the faculty of contemplation by which man perceives God and learns the knowledge given by God

–– the intelligence is the operating faculty of the intellect

–– the reason or mind is the center responsible for logic, conceptualization, and discourse – all the functions, which manifest the main human ability – reasoning that defines purposeful behavior, and so on [e.g., The Philokalia 1:361–364].

 If to follow the general theological–philosophical–epistemological classification, the soul might be described as the energy entity, which absorbs the divine energy of creation and ultimately, transforms it into the core, or seed, or code, or pattern of thought. The created core–code–pattern is examined by another component of soul – by the conscience, also known as “the voice of God within the heart”; the conscience is responsible for the distinction between good and evil. The functions of conscience are similar to the functions of a censor and editor: it would or would not admit a particular thought in the consciousness where it might or might not become ready to be conveyed to the others or to be embodied into establishments and other creations of man. Those who violated the Law of God destroy or “make silent” own conscience. Silencing of destruction of conscience makes possible further sins–violations of the commandments of God: the people become able to commit crimes against God and against men. The conscience defines the nature of knowledge, which a human being learns – would it be true or false, his general attitude toward the others and the world, and many other things which constitute the meaning of life. The reason/mind applies the knowledge of good and evil at the next level, toward achievement of the purposes within the human establishments.

In summary, the theologians include into the essence of a human being

            –– the soul

            –– the deep cognitive structures; these structures form the body of knowledge on which a particular mind builds the foundation for own reasoning

            –– the intellect, intelligence, and reason responsible for adequacy of behavior to the Law and purposes of God, and to the actuality, therefore, ultimately, for physical survival of man and his creations, for instance, such as society, empire, business enterprise

            –– the other components, consideration of which is beyond this observation.

Ultimately, precise theological distinctions (e.g., between the intellect and the heart) have no consequence for the current observation; besides, imagination is able to originate the swarm of heresies on each particle of truth.

A human being is the wholeness serving the purposes of God. Our God is God of knowledge – He grants wisdom, and His presence creates knowledge and intelligence. Nothing is possible without wisdom, intelligence, and knowledge: human being lives by the Word of God, and God is life of human soul–heart–spirit–mind {Deuteronomy 8:3; 1 Kings 2:3; Proverbs 2:6; Matthew 4:4; John 6:32–35, 48–51}. The essence of man created in image and after likeness of God is the connection with God, through which the energy of life comes: at the level of human mind, the divine energy becomes the universal energy sustaining the reality of man, mankind’s universe. The purposes of man include fulfillment of the will–Law of God, and embodiment of the knowledge of God into thoughts and actions within the setting – Earth – given to exploit according to the purposes of God.

Therefore, the contemporary word mind, which denotes intelligence, reasoning, intellect, psyche, awareness, and other phenomena within the same logical realm, is accepted as the general term for identification of the essence of a human being. With the limited language of philosophical–logical observation, or in the terms of systems logic, it might be said that the mind is the main subsystem of the wholeness (human being), or the controlling center responsible for

            –– the transformation of the divine energy of creation into human thought

            –– all thinking and cognitive processes

            –– the control and determination of behavior

            –– the strategy of survival, development, and optimization–evolution.

In fact, nobody is able to prove exact location and describe functions of the center, which determines life of the mind. Only one thing is known: until a human being lives, he is the inseparable three–fold unity of energy, energy–information, and energy–information–matter, or the soul–mind–body, or the spirit–intellect–flesh. Therefore, the term mind  might be correlated with all processes, which – although they could remain out of focus of the consciousness – embody the divine energy of creation into human thoughts, maintain the consciousness, and determine words and actions of men. Whatever the general definitions are selected, the real meaning is the same: if the human soul–essence–heart–mind is focused on God and observes His Law, it becomes the derivative or function of the Spirit of God within the material world –– the dwelling–carrier of the Word of God. Such mind receives the knowledge from God, lives by God, and serves only God {John 1:12–13; 3:3–7; 4:24; 14:12, 15–18, 23–26; 15:1–5; 1 Peter 1:3–5; James 1:18; 1 John 4:7; 5:1–13; Genesis 2:7; Ecclesiastes 12:7; Isaiah 48:16–17; Psalm 15(16):7–11; 31(32):7–8}. Those who are called by God, who long for wisdom and knowledge of life, have no other way to God except through the Word of God, Lord Jesus Christ {John 6:44; 7:39; 14:6}. Nothing else matters.

The contemporary researchers offer the vast range of definitions – from poetic to scientific, and from mechanical to supernatural; one of them names the mind the “greatest mystery in the Universe” [McCrone 288].

There are attempts to cognize the mind and its abilities through studies of different personalities and classification of their thinking processes and social activities. For example, Magoroh Maruyama (Japan) believes in existence of “mindscapes” (supported with the data collected by Professor O. J. Harvey [Maruyama, in: Mindscapes: the Epistemologies...xviii]). In his definition, mindscape is “a structure of reasoning” and other thinking processes including cognition, conceptualization, etc.; the patterns of thinking processes, cognitive and social activities, philosophy, and moralities determine a type of mindscape [Maruyama 7].

Evidently, the “mindscape” studies target the precision of social forecasting and manageability of citizens, which might be facilitated with knowledge of their “mindscapes.”

Some researchers admit such abilities of the mind as manipulation of time, telepathy, and psychokinesis. They publish results of their research in science fiction or popular genre, make them the subject of “revelations” given by the benevolent aliens to the ignorant humans, or cover with fictional settings and simplified language of the official sciences the bits and pieces of their findings, which are left after eliminating all references to the Creator.

For instance, there is an assertion that summary of electromagnetic, anthropological, quantum–mechanical, and holographic models describes the mind as a biological transceiver that

–– works with geophysical, seismic, infrasonic waves

–– transforms information transmitted through frequency and amplitude in the sensory information

–– interacts with the energy at the quantum – wave – level (therefore, accesses the Future and the Past simultaneously)

–– is able to arrange–order the chaos of the Universe [e.g., Alexander, Groller, and Morris 111].

Logically, the instant inference would be the questions: who created such a universal transceiver, for which purposes, how the Creator supports it, and  how to sustain the normal work and optimal performance of this unique entity endowed with such a power? However, for the ethics–free sciences there is more important field of research: destruction – WMD, enslaving, profiteering, and so on. Besides, the technique of modeling with its limited language of description is not adequate to actual complexity of the considered phenomenon, which in the case of human mind, has the complexity incompatible with the measures utilized to evaluate the matter and with the techniques utilized to formalize the results of evaluation. As always, any kind of research conducted at inadequate levels of complexity is pointless.

The general public is deprived of the knowledge of actual results of research into the mind, which do not conform to the politically correct darwinist–atheist models of ethics–free biomedical and sociological sciences. The researchers who consider the human mind as it is – the creation of the Omnipotent Almighty God, those who accept existence of the direct link between God and His creation–human being  –– the connection with God that determines the logical reality in which the mind exists and accomplishes the purposes of existence, have neither support nor recognition. They are labeled as bigots, fanatics, or illiterate novices in the Western societies, and as mentally sick individuals in the communists and other oppressive regimes, which serve the phantom of absolute power, therefore which are under the tyranny of deified criminals. All kinds of the contemporary societies know the plague of political and religious leaders who put ideologies at the place of the faith in God and utilize their power for denigration, enslaving, and robbery of men. Exclusion of the knowledge of actual human nature facilitates the struggle for “absolute” power:

–– tell human being that he is a child of God, and it would not be possible to make him unreserved servant of another man, assassin, liar, betrayer, and thief

–– persuade man that there is no God, that he has no soul, and that he is an animal – the beast that must kill other beasts to attain the means for own existence, and the human beast will do anything: kill, betray, deceive, steal, and so on.

The most dangerous ideologies are those, which recognize existence of some deity–idol and cover with its name own earthly purposes: all such ideologies disseminate false knowledge and, therefore, accelerate degeneration. They tell, for instance, that an earthly leader (usually, deified or recognized as a prophet) has a direct connection with God, which is not open to all the others; that only unreserved obedience to this earthly deity–substitute for God leads to the earthly or heavenly paradise. The others make God the author of their own inhumane laws and figments of sick imagination (e.g., “theological” justification of the papal Inquisition), which demand assassination, suffering, human sacrifice, and fear–induced unreserved obedience of the majority. Ultimately, all ideologies and false religions trigger uncontrollable collapse of the establishments, which they control.

Three axioms of the systems logic should be considered before any classification or inferences concerning the still unknown essence of mind and nature of thinking, especially when such studies might have definite social consequences.

1. All minds have the same – universal – design or the pattern of creation: the image and likeness of God. Therefore, all minds can achieve the same level of complexity, which at least mirrors complexity of the Universe, the same limitless abilities of cognition and creation, the same patterns of thinking processes and cognitive activities. Consequently, all classifications based upon assumption of restrictions and limitations of human abilities, mathematical methods, atheistic outlook are false, moreover, dangerous. Distorted reflection of the actuality, figments of imagination, false theoretical constructions, failed social and political policies, unrest, revolutions, and crises of different scales are the common results of such classifications and evaluations. The reason of failures is also common: restricted methods of materialistic sciences dealing with the matter are not sufficient enough to be applied toward the limitless universal pattern with the highest level of complexity, which is the essence of human mind.

2. Each mind has its own mission–purpose, which constitutes a part of the supercomplex web of purposes composing the logical scheme of the Universe. Accordingly, each mind exists at the particular time–space–complexity point of the Universe as the managing subsystem of the energy–information–matter system (a human being) that must accomplish specific purposes and utilize an allotted part of available energy resources of this particular time–space–complexity point. Therefore, the only differences among minds are the purposes, which the minds have to accomplish and the resources they have to utilize. It means that until the logical scheme of the Universe becomes the open book, social and political sciences do not have the real ground for classifications of men.

3. When the mind is not able to accomplish its mission because of insufficiency of the energy–information–matter resources, it might utilize the individual strategy – either strategy of survival or strategy of self–annihilation; in this case, the general theoretical assumptions concerning predictability of behavior might be inadequate.

From the theological point of view, only free will, the actions made by free choice, and the results distinguish one human being from other human beings. The chosen disposition (love to God or rejection of God) and achieved degree of optimization (or perfection – imitation of God) or degeneration (perversion of original nature following violation of the Ten Commandments – the Law of God, the Law which defines the nature of man and stipulates behavior consistent with the human nature) prepares the human being either for the purposes of God or for annihilation. St. Gregory Palamas’ assertion that God dwells in His creations “in different and varied ways” correlated with their “worthiness and way of life” provides the ground for comprehension of complexity as correlation with the divine creative energy [St. Gregory Palamas (1983) 83; (1988) §91, §93, §95 189–197]. Yet, the measure or evaluation of others’ “worthiness” – judgment – is not the business of men {Matthew 7:1–5}.

With the generalized – systems – terms, it might be said that to achieve its purposes, each system/reality has to exist within the specified set of the energy fields and to be able of “reading” the universal code and its derivatives at the particular levels of complexity. Such “reading” tunes up all system life–supporting processes and makes the system able to materialize the universal energy – transform it into the energy–information and energy–information–matter. The process of reading the universal code is irreversible; some results of this reading are known as knowledge.

Consequently, the existence of mind within the time might be defined as the unity of three processes – cognition, creation of knowledge, and materialization, or embodiment of the created knowledge into the material structures:

            –– the mind perceives or accepts the divine creative energy; this process results in cognition, or transformation of the divine energy into the universal energy, which the mind needs to operate within the world of matter

            –– the mind transforms the universal energy (cognition) into the energy–information form – thought (creation of knowledge)

            –– the mind transforms the created thought (materializes the created knowledge) into the energy–information–matter (or into a spoken or written word, theory, concept, book, corporation, other system within the particular time–space–complexity realities, for instance, such as the society, state, business enterprise).

The law of irreversibility of cognition controls the dimension of time; without irreversibility of cognition, the optimization and development as the increase of mind’s complexity (the increase of complexity is the evolution) are not possible. The time might be seen as the setting, framework, reality controlled with the law of irreversibility, which directs all transformations of the universal energy toward an increase of complexity.

The law of irreversibility of cognition defines connection of the human mind, knowledge, complexity, and time–space into the inseparable wholeness oriented toward an increase of complexity. Within this wholeness,

            –– the mind is the energy field, which transforms the universal energy into the energy ready to produce or re–structure the matter

            –– the knowledge is the manifestation/derivative of complexity at the levels of the matter

            –– complexity is the parameters of a purposeful reality of fields that accommodates sets of transformations of the universal energy into the derivatives: energy, energy–information, and energy–information–matter forms

            –– the time–space is the structured setting or the net of fields within which the mind embodies its thoughts – energy–information forms – into energy–information–matter or the discernible and material systems and realities.

This inseparable wholeness of the mind–knowledge–complexity–time–space comprises the purposeful logical reality, which describes the world of men or the mankind’s universe. This reality also might be considered as

            –– the embodiment/derivative of the universal code at the particular level of the complexity

            –– the specific reality, which transforms the universal energy into energy–information formations–thoughts; the human thoughts are the cores of new systems and realities through which the world of the matter and its components (for instance, systems created by men – empires, societies, businesses, etc.) might be developed–optimized or destroyed

            –– the set of fields, which accommodates energy transformations and sustains the energy and energy–information flow within the mankind’s universe.

The divine energy of creation creates, sustains, and accommodates this wholeness–reality, where the mind thinks its thoughts, pursues its objectives, and develops–moves toward the maximal potency by incessant irreversible creation of knowledge. This incessant process creation of knowledge is the process of the evolution of the mankind’s universe: the mankind’s universe moves toward optimization through an increase of complexity of the specific realities – human minds.

In conclusion, the energy concept of mind developed within the systems logic framework describes a human mind as a vortex of energy originated by the divine energy of creation, and as the specific energy field created to accommodate transformation of the universal energy into energy–information that actualizes evolution (evolution or optimization might be seen also as achievement and actualization of the highest potency the system was created to realize) at the level of energy–information and energy–information–matter. The mind is the purposeful reality designed for transformation of the divine energy into the universal energy and its derivatives: at first, into an energy–information – a human thought; then, into embodiments of the thought – transferable and discernible energy–information–matter structures, systems, and realities (e.g., word, concept, book, civilization, society, state, business enterprise). The closer the mind is to its original nature–image and likeness of God the higher is degree of mind’s optimization and the higher might become its influence on the world in its discretion. Within the mankind’s universe, the uncognizable does not exist for the mind, which in compliance with the Law of God has achieved the state of optimum, or, in the theological terms, has been born of the Spirit of God {John 1:1–4, 9–13; 3:3–7; 4:24; 14:6, 12, 15–17, 26; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:3–5; 1 John 3:1–15; Job 32:8}.

The human mind might be seen also as the special kind of systems – the frontier system. The frontier systems are the class of systems intended to transfer the commandments of the supersystem into the language–code of the subsystem; they exist within two realms: supersystem and its component(s)–subsystem(s). The frontier systems also might be described as the boundary between the supersystem–environment and the subsystem(s) of the supersystem. Through the human mind, the divine creative energy enters the reality of mankind and becomes the universal energy that sustains existence and evolution of both types of creations: human beings and the world they have to dominate and develop. A human mind – the frontier system of the realm of God and the realm of the creations of God – accomplishes the ultimate transformations of the divine energy of creation into the human thoughts. The normal human mind that lives by the Word of God {a fruit of the Vine cultivated by God the Father – John 15:1–5}, therefore, lives according to its nature, creates thoughts with the complexity adequate to the purposes of optimization as development of the highest potency and the consequent evolution at the levels of the matter. When people embody their thoughts into the material structures, they accomplish two processes:

–– the transformation of the universal energy into the material structures, which sustain life of men

–– an increase of complexity of the world; the increase of complexity is another definition of evolution.

The mind that violates the Law and rejects the Word of God does not bring the fruits, which God expects from His creation: such a mind accomplishes the purposes of destruction; it becomes a withered branch, because it had broken connection with God and rejected the Bread of life and the living water {John 3:5–6; 4:10–14; 6:32–35, 47–58}. The meaning of withered branch, which is mentioned in the Gospel, is inability to fulfill the will of God and accomplish the purposes a man was created to accomplish: those who reject God become incapable of creation. The withered branches are the feeding ground for perversion, degeneration, and other companions of death in the same manner as the waste is the food of rats and mice.”
